So let me get this straight: the store is OPEN, shelves are STOCKED, customers are READY to purchase... but Walmart locks up merchandise and makes it impossible to buy after 8 PM. How is that not a direct hit to your own bottom line? Revenue lost: Customers leave without spending a dime. Payroll still running: Employees are on the clock while sales walk out the door. I am a Walmart+ member, and I am beyond frustrated with the repeated failures of Walmart's delivery service. This is not a one-time issue. At least once every month, my delivery order is canceled, often at the last minute, leaving me scrambling to make other arrangements. As a paying Walmart+ customer, I specifically pay for the convenience and reliability of delivery, yet Walmart consistently fails to provide either. What makes this even more frustrating is the complete lack of meaningful resolution. Every time this happens, customer service offers the same generic apology and a small $10 credit, as if that somehow compensates for the inconvenience, wasted time, and disruption caused by a canceled grocery order. It doesn't. I have spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars with Walmart, yet I am treated as though my time has no value. If Walmart knows there are staffing shortages, driver shortages, or fulfillment issues in certain markets, then stop overpromising delivery windows that cannot be met. I should not have to wonder every month whether my order will actually arrive. A service that fails this frequently is not a premium membership service. Walmart needs to address the root cause of these cancellations, improve accountability, and provide better solutions for loyal customers who are repeatedly affected. The women at the Hornlake MS super center are very rude and racist. They refuse to help me or my husband for anything until the last minute and will allow other customers to go before us that are of the same skin color as they are. After yesterday's treatment we have decided we will never shop at Walmart in any city or state. I will also have my medicine transferred next refill time to a different pharmacy. I would rather pay the extra ten cents or dollar at Kroger and Target. I would rate 0 but that is not an option. read more

My husband and I like the Horn Lake Walmart enough that we shop there maybe twice a week. We don't complain about anything too much, but I have to say that your Garden center, specifically your Plant Department is very neglected. All the plants are dead. This makes 3 years that they just let the plants die. We approached a manager at 4:10pm by checkout number 14 on Tuesday, 4\14\26 and she laughed at us when we complained. She told us that this was the reason that she never buys live plants only artificial ones. She didn't care. Where do I even start... first, I would like to thank the store manager Shane for all of his help prior to this disaster and the other two sweet lady managers(cannot remember their names) who listened to my concerns... On Friday, January 17 I phoned in to try to place a cake order for three-four layers. When I called, I was told that I couldn't place the order today and to call back on Sunday to place the order--mind you the cake is needed on Sunday as the event is Monday(1/20/25). Before I got off the phone with the young lady I asked if it's possible to stack for layers. She said yes we could maybe do it--I don't know, call back Sunday to place the order and hung up the phone. I took it upon myself to go to the store that same day after the phone call to try to place the order since no one could give me an answer about if the cake could be stacked. Upon arrival to the store, I was told that the cake ladies left for the day however there was a manager at the bakery(Shane). Shane helped me place the order and told me that we could get the cake stacked. I ordered an all white plain cake with no boarders, with three layers. I did not get any designs because I'm a baker myself and wanted to design the cake. I also needed the cake for my son's birthday party due to us having to cancel our trip to Disneyland due to the fires. I will have to pick up the cake on today, Sunday, January 19. Come Sunday morning, I received a phone call around 8 AM from a lady in the bakery telling me that I could not have the cake stacked and that they could not accommodate me and that I could choose between a 6 inch cake(essentially which is a smash cake) which has three layers or get a two layer 8 inch cake. I informed them that a manager assisting me with placement of the order and he said that I would be properly accommodated. The lady then tells me that that is something that they cannot do and that I'll have to choose between one of the other. So I went with a 8 inch round cake. If I would have gotten the 6 inch round cake, the cake would have tipped over due to the decoration topper. Our call ended. I spent over 25 minutes after that calling back to the store to see if I could make another order for the another 2 layer cake(and have stack them myself), but nobody answered. I got dressed and headed to the store and let the phone rang until I arrive to the store. Again, nobody answered. I get to the bakery and the lady comes around with her iPad and shows me that they cannot ring up the cake in three or four layers so I asked to be accommodated and have another cake baked due to them calling me an hour before pick up. They tell me that they cannot make the cake. I also asked to purchase icing and was told to go buy the icing at the celebration isle where the party supplies are--YOU CAN PURCHASE ICING FOR THE BAKERY! THEY JUST DIDNT WANT TO HELP ME. I offered to pay for the services and were still turned away. I even asked if I purchased two double layer cakes because they stack them for me and I will pay for the difference. I was told no. They were rude and unhelpful. They had 48 hours to call and tell me that they could not do this or accommodate me, but instead called me ONE HOUR before the cake is due to be picked up. I had to end up driving around to see if anyone could make another double layer for me so that I could stack the cakes as I did not want to bake them myself due to what has happened. However, I will now have to bake them myself last minute. Oh and as I type this, the cake is still not ready nor have they called me to pick up the cake it is now 10:04am. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS BAKERY EVERY AGAIN. IDGAF IF ITS A LOAF OF BREAD. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE YOUR JOB PLEASE FIND ANOTHER! Less than 1 star if possible 9:30 on a Sunday morning and there are literally 2 registers open. Half of the self check out don't work and the ones that do are lined up with people with overflowing baskets. There are "employees" at almost every checkout lane restocking the end caps. There were 5 employees standing at the money center counter talking. When you go in for 3 items and can't get them because you have somewhere to be it's very frustrating. read more

So I was at Walmart in Horn Lake, MS the other day, and saw the following things in the deli department: 1. A pit-bull riding in the grocery basket. 2. The guy cutting the meat in the deli with his ass hanging out. (I don't think that's sanitary.) Why would Walmart management allow either of these two things to occur in the store? I understand the need for SERVICE animals for people with disabilities, but this dog is clearly not providing a service. And I absolutely don't want to see this guy's draws while I'm buying deli meat! Both the Walmart organization and their employees need to have some standards about dress code and presentation. I had to start going to the Southaven location for grocery pick up because after ordering on their Walmart app I was constantly notified of half my order being out every time! It's mind blowing to me that I live 5 minutes up the road from this location but have to drive to another city to buy my groceries! If I could give this pitiful excuse for a Walmart zero stars I would. But not an option. Ordered a mounted photo collage paid for it and everything. Get to the store the associate who first of all was too busy talking to even give me a second look said she never saw the order yesterday than I realized it was canceled. I assume by her seems all she wanted to do was socialize and not put in any effort. Along with other employees I interacted with. The customer service lady was too busy on her phone to help anyone with a line. Honestly wasn't going to wait for her to decide to help us whenever she felt like it. Then I decided to call the store to talk to a manager about why it got cancelled. And I suppose all the workers were to busy in every department to even answer the phone, again when I walked throughout the store all on phones not working. So I'm not sure what they were too busy doing. Finally got through one time for a manager got transferred no answer. I'm sorry but what do these employees do. I only saw people talking to other employees or on phones. Hung up I'm not waiting on the phone for ten plus minutes when the employees or visibly doing nothing. Called again for a manager and I guess for some reason I was told they were all on break this seems super unprofessional to me. I can think of many reasons why that's a horrible idea. But I strongly believe it's because no one wanted to put forth any kind of work. The fact this Walmart is even in busy is crazy. This is one of the better Walmarts in this area. I can get in and out usually fast. I always go to the self check out which normally has all registers open. Never do I get harassed going out the door by someone requesting to look at my receipt and the people that are at the door are generally friendly. read more

One star is too much. Tonight makes the 3rd time that their lazy order pullers have messed up a delivery or pickup order. It's close to where I live, and, I thought, would be convenient after work for pickups or deliveries. I was wrong. I have waited 2 times for over two hours for a scheduled pickup and have had to go back the next day. On one occasion, they substituted an item with a discontinued version and refused to refund the item. I gave it back anyway, which is the equivalent of the store stealing from me. Tonight, the same store delivered to me late and didn't include two items. There was no notification indicating that the items were not available. The delivery person was supposed to hand me the items but, instead, sat them outside the door. Since it just opened, everything is still shiny and new. The staff at this location are helpful and friendly. My mom and I had to drop in at 1AM to grab some last minutes items. There were two check out lanes open. As we we're getting checked out, another guest got in line behind us. I noticed another staff member quickly opened up another lane to get him checked out. This probably would not have happened at the other neighboring Walmart locations. So that small gestures gives me a glimmer of hope that maybe this location might be different than the rest. Walmart is a crap place in general but this one is something else. Dont bother looking for an employee to do a price check they have tons of price scanners all over the store but the only problem is they have been completely ripped off the wall and don't exist. If you ask someone something prepare to confuse them because they know nothing about their store and will be rude because you bothered them. Getting checked out one day and the cashier is looking annoyed because I wanted to tell her to ring certain things on a separate check. Then I go to see that she is talking on her phone to someone video chatting them and they are on speakerphone. Always out of stock of basically everything always pallets of stuff all over the store at any given time of day. When employees are stocking they have boxes covering the entire isle and you can barely walk then they get upset when you say excuse me to get to something. Employees walking around with name tags on and vests talking on their cell phones. Employees walking around just pushing carts not actually working but just texting on their phones. They sell nice used products on their clearance rack and I'm not talking electronics or decorative items with defects they sell used and opened makeup as well as expired food and medicine or supplements. read more

I shopped online at end of October 2017 & received the email to pickup. When I went to do so, associate Ashley told me the merchandise wasn't there. The next day I received another email to pickup the same merchandise, and this time, Ashley told me I'd picked it up the previous day. Just trying to get what I bought turned into a nightmare where Ashley accused me of hitting her (I requested the security tapes be saved to prove no such thing happened, and that I never received the merchandise but I doubt they did so), There was no store manager to handle the problem because he'd been transferred and not replaced. I NEVER DID get my merchandise, and it took a bit over two weeks and more than forty hours of effort on my part to get my money refunded. When you try to contact upper management, you just get an email asking how they did. No followup. No way to talk to a real person. Rinse and repeat - the same thing happened again in January, except they told me I couldn't pickup because I'd been banned from the store, and was trespassing (which was a lie - they just wanted me to believe that). The whole thing was INSANE. I just shopped online at Target, where the merchandise was shipped to my house in record time, the order complete, and I was a very happy customer not to have to deal with those crazy shrews at the Horn Lake Walmart. read more
