Here's what I just emailed to Walmart corporate: To Walmart Customer Service, I am filing a formal complaint regarding a cashier at your Dunvale Road location (2727 Dunvale Rd, Houston, TX 77063) who I believe deliberately misled me into paying twice for an item I had already been charged for. Transaction Details: Date: February 21, 2026 Original Purchase: 7:07 AM, ST#02066, OP#000064, TE#14, TR#02259 Fraudulent Second Charge: Lane 14, same cashier Refund: 7:23 AM, ST#02066, OP#006325, TE#93, TR#05353 WHAT HAPPENED: After purchasing groceries and a vacuum, I reviewed my receipt and noticed voided items (rye flour and yogurt). The receipt format was unfamiliar to me. I'm accustomed to seeing voided items displayed as a double ring-up followed by a third line showing the same item with a negative amount, indicating that the extra ring-up won't be added to the total. Because I couldn't immediately confirm that the rye flour had been properly charged, and because the cashier appeared to have vision difficulties (she is cockeyed and wears glasses), I was genuinely concerned that she had made an error and might face disciplinary action for not charging me. Out of consideration for her, I returned to the cashier, who had since left Lane 14 and was speaking with other Walmart employees. I explained what I saw on the receipt. She agreed with my interpretation, walked to the Lane 14 station, and asked if I wanted to be charged for the rye flour. I said yes, believing I was helping prevent her from getting in trouble. She rang me up again for the rye flour and gave me a receipt. THE PROBLEM: As I was leaving, I realized this was the same cashier I remembered from when I shopped at this location regularly - from 2021 until I finally got fed up with employee behavior at this store. The behavior of yesterday's cashier during our transaction was unprofessional from the start: 1) When I politely asked "Could you please use these bags?" (referring to our reusable bags), she responded with "Open the bags for me". She never greeted us (I was with my son), and when she finally said something, it was this demand. 2) She then bagged our items on top of the plastic bag carousel instead of at waist level (where the plastic bags hang) so she could see properly, forcing me to assist her in doing her job. This unprofessionalism, combined with the suspicious second charge, made me question whether she had manipulated me by exploiting my concern for her wellbeing to get me to pay twice for something I'd already purchased. I asked the door attendants to review my receipt; and though they told me not to worry, I was starting to realize that this cashier got assy with me. I was so angry that I went to customer service to request a full refund for all my groceries. My son convinced me to explain the real issue to the customer service rep. That's when the rep checked my original receipt against what came up on his computer and confirmed that I had already been charged for the rye flour once. And that's when I confirmed for myself that the cashier had deceived me into paying twice for the same item. I say "deceived" because she's been employed at Walmart for at least five years. How has she stayed employed this long but not understand that my interpretation of the receipt was completely wrong? Anyway, I had to get a refund for the duplicate rye flour charge, money I never should have been charged in the first place. WHY THIS MATTERS: As someone who's been working in adult education for 20 years as an educator, I recognize when someone is deeply unhappy, and this employee's behavior suggests exactly that based on how she chose to interact with me. My main concern is that she's been in the same role for at least five years. Is she working here purely for financial reasons while her passion lies elsewhere? Has she turned down promotions you've offered her over the years? I already know the answers to these questions. Job knowledge alone isn't what moves an employee up the ladder. I remember her from years ago, and there has been zero improvement in her professionalism or customer service skills. Her conduct yesterday wasn't just rude. It was fraudulent. RESOLUTION REQUESTED: 1) Accountability: This cashier should face appropriate disciplinary action for deliberately misleading a customer into paying twice for an item. 2) Retraining: If she remains employed, she needs immediate retraining on customer service, receipt procedures, and ethical conduct. 3) Employee Support: Provide access to mental health resources for employees who appear to be struggling, as her behavior indicates deeper issues that affect her work. This was an exhausting and frustrating experience that wasted my time and could have cost me money if I hadn't caught the error. Can I please expect better from Walmart? OMG, I waited 20 minutes on the Lego aisle. I pushed both sides of the Lego's L10 & L12 and body in sight. I asked as workers passed and they said I don't work over here. Overstood but also didn't help by at least paging someone higher up. I walked to electronics and nobody could help me and it was 4 people that worked in Walmart standing at the counter. I went back to the area and waited 5 more minutes before I went to find my friend. In the process she ended up asking for help. Glad that KAJSHA from cosmetics was willing to help! Waiting for two hours currently at the Money center to pay rent. People asked for the manager and was told that the woman who just walked away from her counter at the Money center was the manager. She went on her break, even though there were more than 35 people waiting in line. She did not even replace herself at the cashier and only allowed one person to service all 35 people. The worst part is is as she walked away from all 35 to 40 people. Her vest said happy to help and that couldn't be more far from the truth. read more

I went to the Walmart Auto Center to get all four of my tires replaced. After waiting nearly 2 hours, I was told they couldn't put all four tires on. No clear explanation--just a vague excuse. Frustrated, I started making other plans, only to be told they were actually able to put all 4 on. So not only was my time completely wasted, but the lack of communication and professionalism was unacceptable. If they had just been clear from the start, this could've been a quick, stress-free visit. Definitely won't be coming back--there are too many other places that respect people's time. read more

This Walmart has the worst staff and check out process. There is a right and left line to pay. But the right side is always roped off so you have to go and form a line on the left-hand side. Then you have six staff members who are just standing there looking around, scratching their head, on their phone, picking their nose, and scratching other orifices in front of everybody, instead of properly directing customers to the available checkout line. I am surprised to see such bad reviews for this store. I was there today and the place was clean and the staff members were helpful. Even the day after Christmas, the place seemed organized and inviting. I had just come from another Walmart location and been yelled at by the greeter for using the wrong door (my fault, but poor response from the store employee). Everyone has a different experience everyday at every place they visit. Mine experience at this particular WalMart was THE WORST and I now see and understand why people state that they choose to no longer make WalMart their shopping preference. I used to work at WalMart YEARS ago and I don't ever remember their service being THIS terrible and unbearable. This is why Sam Walton wanted to keep all of the Wal-Marts out in the country, but greed...perhaps.... It leaves customers to have to deal with so much rudeness. Anyway, there is this one particular man- African American with wears corn rolls (braids) in his hair- I guess he is a customer service manager (CSM). He works usually way in the front of the store as he assigns customers of which lane to check out in( WalMart stores, in my opinion have become quite ghetto) of course this would have a lot to do with the kind of people they hire and the volume of customers they get and their characters. I technically only meant to come into this store to get 2 carton of eggs, but unfortunately ended up just shopping - I won't do this again at this store. I had more than 10 items l, but lesser than about 20 items to check out with so the CSM assigned me to go to the cashier. I politely asked him if I can request a self checkout lane( it used to be to where you can check out at a self check out regardless of how many items a customer has, if this had changed, I was unaware of this info). I asked the CSM if they had changed it to where you can check out yourself regardless of how many items, but strangely he refused to answer. He RUDELY told me to just to check out! I was like EXCUSE ME!? You WILL not talk to me the way I see and hear you talk to other customers and your coworkers who HAPPILY take it. They must like it, but I don't. I am a customer and because of people like me, you HAVE A job! Every time I go into this store, this one particular employee talks to customers condescendingly and with NO respect. I see the way he HIGHLY DEMANDS the other employees this exact way, but like i said, they must like it. Lately, whenever I enter this exact WalMart, I automatically feel negative energy- like a bad spirit, I plan to definitely no longer shop at this particular store ever again. The location and customers are absolutely foul. The store is as kept as it can be. I feel like the reviews are low because of the customers not the employees. I was also low on cash and under estimated the cost of my groceries and when I checked out I was way over what I had. I was embarrassed and had another person in line behind me. One of the employees picked up on this and told me "i got u" and took the items I couldn't afford in another cart (they put these items back later). I silently told her thank you basically. Also, from what I can see, security tries to make sure people don't steal which is necessary especially in this area. So yea. After trying like 4 stores, I went to this location to hunt for some newly released blind boxes. The lovely team leader from the make up area (not sure if she was actually stationed there or just helping her coworkers) went out of her way to get the unopened box from the back and let me pick out the ones I was looking for. It really made my entire week, she was super kind and I asked if I could call the store later to compliment her, but she said that they weren't allowed to receive comments like that and instead to leave a review. Whatever you do, avoid letting Jawad in the electronics section help you with anything. He lacks clear, concise, communication skills. He does not take the time to throughly understand and will judge you based off of what "HE" thinks you can afford to buy or not afford. He will tell you that he heard you say things that you didn't say. He needs to learn to serve the customer in front of him better. I understand policies, protocols, and procedures. I have been running hotels for over 15 years. However, sometimes, humanity has to take some type of precedence in certain situations. I have never felt as disregarded and disrespected as I did at Walmart #2066 on Dunvale Rd in Houston, Tx on August 22, 2024. I went to pick up my 12 YO daughter's ADHD medicine. I lost my ID so I brought my printout from the Texas Dept of Public Safety (that would be sufficient for a police officer) and a clear photo of my ID on my phone. The pharmacy clerk said that I needed a real ID and she went to get approval from someone else. I heard the lady tell her that they couldn't accept that as ID. When she came back and told me, I explained to her that I had been coming there for 2 years and that my daughter had one pill left and she needed it for school. I asked her was there someone I could call to get approval to override the policy in this special situation. She basically told me No so I said I'd have to call Customer Care. The lady who wouldn't grant approval then came over to the window. She asked for my daughter's name and date of birth. I thought she had decided to try to help me out in the matter and was actually relieved. She, then, asked for my ID. I showed her what I had again (though she had JUST seen it). Then, she just repeated that she couldn't accept it. I felt like she did this purposely and completely unnecessarily to drive her point home. I pointed out also that of the last 3 times that I had been there, this was the first time I'd even been asked for ID. I wasn't trying to get anyone in trouble but I also don't think it was fair to pick and choose when to ask. They still didn't care and she made a point to let me know she didn't believe me so that's when I called customer care. While I was on the phone reporting my concern, they closed the counter gate down for lunch. Now, I have no issue with that as I know that they close for a lunch hour. However, no one said anything like 'I know you're trying to get a solution but we are closing and will be back open in an hour' or ANYTHING!! They made me feel like an insignificant piece of crap. The customer care lady on the phone was extremely kind and understanding. She even pointed out that it was medication for a minor child and not for an adult and the employees should have been more helpful. She let me know that someone would call me back. The next morning, I got a call from someone from Walmart who said she wanted to hear my side of the story. I explained again what happened. I also advised her that I completely understood policy. However, I felt a concession could have been made because of the situation. I told her how I was made to feel like me nor my daughter mattered. I also told her that I've been in hotel management for over 15 years and I know that customer service means going above and beyond to help resolve problems. I've had guests come to check in to a prepaid reservation and only have an ID on their phone for one reason or other. If I can clearly see the person's face and read their information, I will take it. I once had a young lady that came to the front desk with her key to reactivate it and her name was not on the reservation. My desk agent refused to give her a new key. She told her that she would have to wait until the registered guest returned. She was not WRONG. However, I stepped in to try to find a SOLUTION. I called the number of the guest on file to verify her identity. Because I did not truly know who was on the other end of the phone, I asked him what was in his room. He told me where things were placed around his room. She told me what her bag looked like and where it was located in the room. I walked up to the room and verified this information. I, then, asked him if he wanted her name added in the notes so she wouldn't have this issue for the duration of their stay. He obliged and they were both grateful. THAT is customer service. My main issue was that no one TRIED to help me even knowing the importance of this. I reiterated this to the lady from Walmart. This is where it got WORSE, if that's even possible. After I finished talking (and it's almost embarrassing to admit that by then I was in tears with frustration) she was quiet for about 15 seconds. Then, she said SHE was actually the Pharmacy Manager that refused to help me. I told her that was even more condescending of her because she already KNEW exactly what happened so to call me and ask me about it was absolutely ridiculous. She then said, in the most sarcastic way, that she was just calling to apologize for not taking my paper ID. I said 'Are you also apologizing for not accepting the obviously clear picture of my ID? Are you also apologizing for not even attempting to figure out a way to help me get my child's medicine? I know why you are calling me. I read all of the bad reviews, but went to this store because it was closer to work. Okay I must admit it wasn't all bad. I went to this WalMart with no expectations because they are rated below three stars. The greeter at the front door was adorable. I love my seasoned saints (elderly people). The store wasn't as junky/trashy as the Wal Mart near my home. I couldn't find the item I was looking for. Spoke with one of the employees and she helped me find it. She didn't know exactly where it was , but she found it. Now to return the video that I purchased two of was a different story. First the lady pretended as though she didn't understand or hear me. I'm at the counter with my receipt, identification and one of the two videos I purchased for return. She examined it and hunched her shoulders. I pointed out on the ticket that I purchased the same video twice. She asked how. Lol. I told her it was an oversight on my part and I would like a refund. She called another lady to the counter, said something in Spanish and they both began to laugh. Well because I'm a character/cut up. I began laughing louder. Needless to say they both stopped laughing and looked at me as though I was crazy. I have my refund. Customer service lady was rude, but the look on their faces when I began laughing louder than them was worth 4 stars. Her people skills are horrible and to call another employee to the desk speak another language in front of an English speaking only person was disrespectful. If they were speaking in their native tongue prior to me going to the desk it wouldn't have been different, but to call her to the desk and start that conversation in front of me like that was rude. Why is this Walmart Supercenter so stinky? It's because there are so many beauty salons. Saturday is the best day to get your hair done but worse day for people with sinus headache. I was here to return something and get something for my holiday's decorations. The service desk lady didn't bother to check how I paid for it. She kept talking to a customer at another counter, "our system is down. I don't know if other store is up." Eh, hello? I'm over here, lady. Then, I found a huge room with tons of Christmas trees and decorations. It should be nice, if it was the day after Thanksgiving. But it was a week before Christmas. I guess I'll be back for after-holiday clearance. Psst. Turn on the lights, please. This room is so dark for trees. When I was pulling out of parking spot, a shopping cart bumped my car. Grrrrhh. So, I got out checking, but there wasn't anyone around. That just sent me out to hell with rants. Customers at this Walmart Supercenter are as same as the one in Chinatown, naughty and not nice. Another problem, driveways are crowded and narrow. It takes forever to exit at Westheimer. Funny. I didn't have problems shopping here during weekday nights, particularly after midnight hours. On Monday 06/10/2024 AT 8:05pm CST, I was to meet two prospective clients at the Walmart at 2727 Dunvale Rd #2066. I'd brought with me a sample monitor carried in a Walmart cart due to size and entered the Home & Improvement entrance of the store. I was greeted by a male employee who asked did I have a return to be stickered. I informed him it was my item I'd brought in, and he simply nodded and told me have a good night. I then got a text from my clients, informing me they were at the grocery entrance, so I made an immediate right and proceeded down the front walkway, never crossing the metal turnstiles into the merchandised area of the location. Your receipt checker demanded a receipt for an item I informed her I brought in, and could be verified by a simple radio check. I was then racially and physically accosted by your two workers "Joe" and "Farah".I was then detained while repeatedly grilled about why i brought my item in, in an extremely accusatory and hostile manner. "Joe" proceeds to then try to justify the almost 10-15-minute encounter by stating "This doesn't make sense why you would bring this in, you know what you all do." I am an African American man, so it is abundantly clear what he meant by this statement. After scanning, alleged Asst Manager Farah backs away & She then attempts a half-hearted apology by stating "It's okay brother. You're good, but you know what they do around here." Alleged Asst Manager Farah then decided to reach over and pat my shoulder repeating "It's okay brother. You're good, but you know what they do around here. The receipt checker was just doing her job. You must know what they all do around here." At this stage I was utterly mentally and physically exhausted from this exchange and the embarrassment of being accused of stealing my own property and spoken to in a prejudicial manner as if I was an aloof child. I requested "Joe's" name and that was all the info he provided, and refused to provide an incident number, badge information, or any details regarding himself while claiming to be the store manager. He had not identifiable Walmart branded clothing or badge on his person. He was wearing a black polo, with light brown/gold animal logo. "Farah" who claimed to be the Asst Mgr and claimed "Joe" was the store manager. Both refused to provide anything further or offer a true apology recognizing their failure to easily deescalate and verify. Also being told suggestively that being an African American minority with an item I bring in instantly qualifies me for unfound accusations, searches, and seizures. As for being touched unwarranted, this is a clear violation of law, and your corporations guidelines and ethics. Store Manager of Walmart #2066 Michael Longoria, and Walmart Inc despite receiving certified letters detailing to complaint and detailed physical assault have yet to respond to the defamation of my character, being subject to racially charged accusations, being needlessly subjected to search of my personal property without due cause, and physically touched by an acting agent of the corporation. The dirtiest store I've ever been to in my life. They had the bathroom doors open so nobody would pass out from the smell, but you end up with no privacy. You can hear people outside while you take a piss. We tried to buy potatoes, but those had flies all over them. Calling the health department after this. The management knows, because I got a picture of an employee walking into the bathroom I'm just not posting her picture. The employees ignored us and all checkout lanes we're close to be self check out. I feel bad for ANYONE handicapped, because there is no help for you there. Walmart at every location is literally the best. I am writing this review because I had the misfortune to overhear a few customers behind me in line casually use the f-word in their conversation. That is an inappropriate word to use in public especially at a family store. I am sure if other shoppers had overheard a swear word, they might have had to cover their ears. I visited the Auto center for a replacement battery for my bad battery that was under warranty. My battery was the Maxx 35S. The Auto technician told me that they did not have a replacement in stock. He said they could only replace my battery with the exact same battery that I had. He said they only had the Maxx 35N in stock. For 3 days, and after speaking with Auto managers and supervisors, and after numerous calls around Houston, it turns out that my battery has a new replacement for it. Typical Wal-Mart experience. I walk in and look for something in the electronics section. I ask a disinterested employee and they point me in the wrong direction. I ask a second employee and find out he's a Verizon contractor, not a Wal-Mart employee. He points me in the right direction but can't unlock the case to let me in. I get my item and walk to the front of the store. 30 registers and only 3 are open. The lady up front is moving like she gets paid by just how slow she can process a customer. Tried to return an item. Only one employee working the returns and he was as slow as molasses. I stood in line waiting my turn watching this circus. When it was finally my turn, the clerk started answering questions from someone in the line and then had to go find management to get the answer. i said excuse me, but it is my turn to be waited on. Can you please take care of this person when it is his turn. I waited patiently so he should be able to wait patiently. That didn't deter the clerk from leaving his position to go find management to answer the other guys question. There were four managers shooting the bull and they were in no hurry to come to the return desk in spite of a growing line. I finally walked over and indicated that we needed help. They said they would be there in a minute but gave me no indication that they were going to move anytime soon. I finally walked out. I will never go back to the Dunvale Walmart again. Why does corporate hire these people. I guess the bottom line is that they are making so much money that they don't worry about their customer service. read more

I am just leaving Walmart and am very frustrated with this location. First off, upon entering the store there were no baskets available for customer use except for the broken ones. I didn't make a big deal about it and pursued to shop anyways holding my items in my hands and under my arms. I picked up grocery items, personal care products, and then made my way to the electronics section to pick up some ink. While walking through the store, I grew frustrated because several employees were walking through the store pushing baskets filled with items. The employees were using the BASKETS while the customers carried their items in HAND. Now how does that look? When I made it to the electronics section, I noticed two employees in the area who never addressed me. They continued to stock shelves with their earbuds in ear as I waited at the counter for someone in the store to provide customer service. I waited at the counter for about 5-10 minutes and then I finally left the store, leaving my items on the counter. Cheap prices and convenient hours are the only things Walmart provide because CUSTOMER SERVICE is not one of them! You can't ask any of the workers a question because they never know the answer or respond by saying "I don't know... this is not my section." If the price is wrong at the register, no one goes to the back to check on the price for you. And that's if you survive the long lines and actually make it to the front. I personally have a problem with companies who provide CHEAP customer service! Now I see why some people choose other places like Target over Walmart...these people value service from a company who values people. I know Walmart doesn't care about little old me because I'm only one person. But honestly, we have to stop letting Walmart treat its customers so poorly. Put your money where your morals are and walk out on them when the service is bad like I did. read more

All the naysayers about Walmart seem to miss the mark and are probably unhappy anywhere they shop. Snypie little people that can't handle a little inconvenience in their rush to fulfill their own cart disregarding the efforts that Walmart primarily and all stores are faced with a problem of slow delivery of goods and lack of ability to keep hiring and training new personnel in a time of low unemployment. Be patient, your not the only person inconvenient in this time of slow delivery empty shelves. In fact go shop somewhere else and make those of us that like Walmart happy to have fewer patrons to deal with. read more

One of the few Walmarts that I actually still shop at. I hate Walmarts with a passion. However, this place is OK since it's right next to the movie theatre. I tend to get myself a snack before the movie to save on movie theatre cut throat prices. This one usually is not too crazy and has many employees. Probably the best Walmart I've been to...but that's not saying much. read more
