I don't love or hate walmart, but I give them an extra star for having some unique gluten free stuff in a gluten free section. This walmart is always packed and not the cleanest or easiest to navigate. I stop in every once in a great while to pick up gf hamburger helper type stuff and sometimes things that are on my list at the time...if I have time to hunt for them and wait in the long lines. They are cheaper on many items, but my time has value too. read more

The worst! I tried to be proactive and call ahead to see if a movie was in stock for my boyfriend. I was even understanding when the lines were busy.. But that's where my compassion ends. I was on the line for 2 mins before it asked me to redial. Keep in mind I was trying to connect to electronics before going straight to customer service; bad mistake. After 4 mins a lady finally answered in the loveliest of tones (hopefully you can pick up on my sarcasm) and asked "what do you want". I explained that a movie was just released in walmart stores and I wanted to see if it was in stock. She answered "you should talk to electronics". Where the heck was I talking to then?? So she "forwarded" me to electronics where it rang for another 2 mins before I got the same lovely tone. I explained AGAIN what I was looking for and she says "oh its you.. you want electronics". Holy cow I was already fed up, but then she promised to forward me again and if no one answers she will find someone (why couldn't she have just done it at this point?! Idk??). Finally I'm waiting AGAIN until someone with an even lovelier tone picks up and I have to explain what I'm looking for AGAIN. She tells me no shipments came call tomorrow. And Hung Up!... SHE DIDNT EVEN ASK WHAT THE MOVIE WAS I WAS LOOKING FOR... but the worst part wasn't that I had to deal with her, wait on the phone for over 15 mins, or deal with being transferred to every department but electronics, but that THEY HAD THE MOVIE THE WHOLE TIME. If it wasn't for the fact I still drove over there and went searching for myself (while at least 5 associates stood there and stared) we wouldn't have had the damn movie we needed. I try to give the walmart store monopoly a chance to disprove my bias against the super store and Walmart continues to prove my bias. Why are there over 20 check out lanes and not enough cashiers to accommodate the demand???? Today at 17:30 even the self check out line was 10 ppl deep waiting to ring up their items. So I went here for a few basic items: A black T shirt size XL in the men's section and a black T shirt size med in women's. . It took me longer than it should to find T shirts and when I, did they didn't have either size! For something so simple this was an epic fail. The store is really crowed. The people that shop here are rude. They like to park there carts so nobody can get around them and then socialize for an hour. Can't get help. Try to get a real Christmas tree there and could not get anybody to help us. Complain to a manager and they got some one but it took us almost 50 mins because he was doing other stuff first. The self check out are weird some only take cash other only card but next time you go it not the same machines. Customer services always has a good 5 to 6 people in line and I have never seen more than 1 person working back there. read more

I called this Walmart no less than ten times trying to reach either the infant department or customer service. Each and every time I was put on hold and no one would answer. I finally asked to speak to manager and guess what no one answered, finally hung up and it just rang and rang no one pick up at all. The utter incompetence and rudeness of this store is unbelievable, they obviously are scraping the underside of the barrel to find employees, If I could have given less than one star I would have. read more

Why is it impossible to find an employee on he floor to ask where to find products? What marketing genius thinks customers like aisles that are too crowded to get through? Why are the styles and sizes always mixed up? Why are the check-out lines so long? Who thinks an empty police car parked in front of the store will deter crime? Why are there so many people who drive the wrong way in the parking lot and then growl at you because you're following the arrows (not to mention the direction in which the cars are parked? Why can't WalMart provide bags that hold your purchases without ripping? Or that don't come with holes already punched in the bottom so they can't be re-used? Why can't customers walk the 15 or 20 feet to the cart corral, instead leaving carts all over the lot, blocking parking spaces or positioning carts to damage neighboring cars? read more

There should be an option for zero stars - this Wal Mart has certainly earned it. Let me preface by stating that I have been to Wal Mart stores in several other states . . . Illinois, Kentucky, Colorado, Florida, etc. Not once was any employee at those Wal Mart stores rude and unprofessional towards me like the employees are at the Wal Mart at 86th and Michigan Road. Aside from the fact that the store is usually filthy, boxes and spilled items are typically strewn throughout the aisles, and carts being used by the employees are left abandoned in walkways and in front of key merchandise areas, I'm going to focus on the employees of the store. You will always see at least 50% of the staff engaged in personal conversations either among themselves or on their cell phones . . . as you walk through the store dodging dried liquid spills and abandoned boxes, they appear to be completely oblivious to the entire mess. Each and every time I go into this Wal Mart, despite my desperate attempts to keep all communication with the staff at the bare minimum (the goal is no contact at all) I almost always have an unpleasant experience with one of the lovely staff members. Once I was looking through their selection of mason jars and a female employee was stocking shelves in the next aisle. The entire time I looked at the jars I was being watched by the employee as if I was going to put a box of mason jars in my coat and run out of the store with it. It was actually summer time and I only weigh 115 pounds. No place to hide mason jars. Nevertheless, she eyed me the entire time and shot me those "I'm watching you" and "you better not cross me" facial expressions so I would know not to try anything. I left the mason jars there and went to Target. Another time I had my 12 year old son with me. We were looking for something on one of the shelves for a school project. A female employee was stocking the same shelf. If we moved down to look at another section of the shelf, she would move in front of us. If we moved the other way, she moved the other way to get in front of us. She would glance at us out of the corner of her eye and smile. We had enough of this game very quickly so we left and went to Target. A few months ago I was in this Wal Mart store from hell and I purchased an item that had to be unlocked by a manager and removed from its secure packaging. The lovely employee checking me out didn't mention this until later. When she was finished checking me out she put the locked item to the side and proceeded to check out the customer in line BEHIND me. I had to stand and wait for the other customer to be checked out before I could get the item I had already paid for unlocked. Once the other customer was on her way, the lovely employee took a few drinks from her gallon sized coke cup, then took the locked item to get it unlocked. I waited TWENTY MINUTES for her to come back. My last visit to this Wal Mart from hell, which will also be my last visit to any Wal Mart, was yesterday. As previously stated, I try to avoid ALL contact with the employees. They are LAZY, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and oh, did I mention LAZY? I have my four year old grandson with me. I am at the self checkout counter. Every time I put an item in the bag the computer fails to read the weight and acknowledge that I have bagged the item. So the screen keeps asking me if I want to skip bagging on the item. I select "skip bagging" because the computer is obviously malfunctioning. I do this over and over again. The lovely employee standing next to the self checkout monitor, who is doing nothing but chatting with the self checkout monitor, says to me in a raised voice and harsh tone, "YOU CAN'T DO THAT! YOU CAN'T SKIP BAGGING ON EVERY ITEM!" My first thought was, IS SHE SERIOUS? Ladies and gentlemen, SHE WAS SERIOUS AND SHE MEANT IT. It was as if I had committed a felony. First, I couldn't believe any employee would speak to any customer that way. Second, she and her friend, the self checkout monitor, had it all planned out. I looked at her and asked, IN THE SAME TONE SHE USED ON ME . . . well what do you want me to do? The computer clearly isn't working. She said "you have to wait on it to read the weight". Well the computer wasn't reading the weight, it wasn't working. The lane should have been shut down until the computer was fixed. Before I even took a step back to lift my grandson out of the cart, the self checkout monitor was coming to collect the cart - she knew I was going to walk out. And as I was walking away she said to me in her lovely sarcastic voice: "You have a blessed day now." It is sad how some of us can see the big problem here while others think it is all just a great big game. Yesterday was the last time I will ever purchase anything from Wal Mart again. Target and other retailers are more than happy to allow me to spend money in their stores and treat me with respect. read more

Walmart has by far the worst costumer service I have ever witnessed. I came in to buy a special item for my hunting trip. To get this item it needed and assistant to unlock we went to 3 different representatives they called different people to come in help and we waited 40 minutes and kept pressing the doorbell for assistance and nobody came to help us and we left. So I can safely say that Walmart by far has the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. Thank you very much Walmart. read more

I hate this Walmart! Not sure if its the long lines or works that don't know what they are doing. I dont know why I give in to Walmart. Maybe its the cheap prices, but really I am beginning to second guess myself to go elsewhere to pay a little bit more for my sanity. But over the weekend we were charged twice for our transactions. Thank goodness it was for (2) $13 transactions. Sure not that much, but still, we were charged twice. So i called customer service and advised them that we were charge twice and wonder how we should proceed. Mind you, it took 15 mins to reach a live person. She told me I would need to come down to Walmart and they can pull it up to return the extra charge. So we got in the car and drove to Walmart (we live about 15-20 mins away) and when we got there we pulled up the 2 transaction via mobile phone and the girl called her supervisor who than said oh we cant do nothing about it you gotta wait til it post. Ok I would of been fine if someone told me that on the phone but for me to drive up there to tell me that not cool. I refuse to come back to here to support workers who dont know what they are doing. At this point I dont even care to get my $13 bucks back, Walmart you can keep it! read more

This place is terrible. I was visiting from out of town. There were only two lines open and extra long lines for the self-checkout. There had to be at least 10-12 people in each line, if not more. I've heard it's a regular thing. I don't recommend going here. I only gave it one star because it exists. read more

I'm not going to lie, I hate going to this Walmart. I usually don't "love" going to any Walmart in general, but this one is the worst I've been to. I swear it is like a black hole that I get sucked into and lost in. I go in to get only like 3 things, and it takes me an HOUR. This is probably because there are always lines that are miles long! It's really busy, and they only have 4 registers open. Like really?? And, I feel like stuff is hard to find in this Walmart and that they don't have the best variety. I really avoid going here until I have to go actual grocery shopping, instead of just for a few things. read more

Wal-Mart in this area is tragically flawed. I have had four shopping trips to this location and please let me give you a description of what happened this time. Entered the check out stand and was not greeted or even acknowledged by the checker, she was too busy talking to another employee about how some guy was really interested in the one employee. I had a hundred and fifteen dollar order that at NO time did this checker even look at me while checking out and talking to the other employee. Seriously....I don't expect alot of professionalism from minimum wage employee, but courteous treatment/acknowledgement I do expect. Worst experience ever. Went to their checking cashing and after waiting for 20 minutes for the teller to figure out a mistake she made and jammed the money order computer. The asst mgr James came over to no avail as soon as he left the girl messed up the computer again. So another rude cashier came over and was trying to fix it, so now the line is 15 people deep and one of the customers overheard the cashier telling the lady that the money order is jammed again so one of the customers asked whether they were printing any money order and they finally said no, so at this point everyone left the line and as I was leaving I told the young lady that they should put a sign up letting people know they were not printing money orders, the cashier then wants to do this whole song and dance and "have a good day maam" with sarcasm and i said you have a good one too, no you have a good day maam....okay whose does this. I can recognize sarcasm when I hear it. I do not go shopping to have a altercation with cashiers. I waited for 20 more minutes for them to find a store manager for me to complain and there was none to be found. unbelievable, employees running around like chickens without a head. NEVER will I shop at Walmart, Target you now have me as a customer. Sad!!!!!!! read more

I do not even know where to start. This location takes the cake for the worst case of reverse racism i have ever witnessed & been a part of. I am white & 9 out of 10 times the cashier wont look at me, say hello back to me & wont even say the total of my change(let alone count it back) as its shoved back at me. Oh & did i mention the long laughing friendly interaction that was always had by the 3 customers in front of me that were the same race as the cashier? Once there was an angry African american employee in the sporting goods section that told my son & nephew they had to leave even though i was to be meeting them in that section. ?! I have never seen employment application for this place but i imagine there is a part that ask on a scale of 1-10 how much do you hate white people? if any less than a 10 you will not be considered for this position. Do not even get me started on the book & magazine section...best selling authors or top 10 list? You will see no books with white authors facing front out..spine side only or turned backwards, at least this was the case last time i bothered to look. My wife & me got a laugh out of this because it was so in your face! Zero diversity. Long lines with very few registers open & they even start telling you to hurry up & bring your stuff to the cashier NOW an hour or more before they close! read more
