I get in my spot there's several cars in front of me..it was light rain and I watched clock no one came out for 10 min! No one! Newer Supercenter in south Jacksonville. Clean store, very spacious and very well stocked. Recently they have had more cashiers open so you don't have to always do self checkout, and people aren't in self checkout with 50 items. Prices are Walmart prices. Nothing special in terms of pricing, but the shelves are well stocked with a wide variety of choices. Plenty of parking so no worries there. Plenty of people do leave their shopping carts in spaces so be aware so you don't hit one. It's a Walmart, expect a Walmart. read more

Walmart +, specifically the delivery part of the $80 plus subscription, sorely lacks in customer service. Delivery windows are not always exact with delays. If you add items, during the "add items " window option and add more, still under the window time allotted, the Walmart system will interpret your adding more items as suspicious behavior and put a hold on your order and will not text or email you as to the reason. You have to call a live agent for answers. Also you will have to wait for your money to be put back on your credit card which can take 3-10 days. read more

Do not support Walmart by rounding money for any cause. Their service is not consistent and most experiences are bad. Their delivery service caused $15.00 with a tip for a speedy delivery. Half the items were not delivered although they were on the shelf. I had to go there to pick them up. When I requested a refund for those reasons, they just failed to respond. California has much better service from WalMart with no delivery fees. Products are roped off and you are told to get them online. Let's take a stand. This is a mixed review. I would give 5 stars for inside the store shopping and zero stars for online order pickup. Inside the store is much improved. It is much more organized and easier to find stuff. The online order pickup is TERRIBLE. There is no way to pick up orders inside the store (as in other stores.) That means there is no way to pick up if you forgot your phone other than beating on the door or catching someone. A phone didn't help this last time either. The app didn't work and when I called the phone number on the signs no one answered, and there were no staff outside to catch. Also, the online order pickup location is FAR from the shopping entrances. I had to first drive to the pickup area and wait and wait (30 minutes) then had to drive to the front of the store to go in and do other shopping. I tried to lodge a complaint afterward and was told "Sorry. All the managers are in a meeting. You'll have to wait for a manager." Needless to say, I left. read more

This is my Walmart. I love this Walmart. I adore the crew at this Walmart and I will stand by them no matter what. For my gamers and electronic folks out there, remember earlier this year when Animal Crossing New Horizons came out with its own Switch? Remember how if you didn't pre-order one the day it was announced that you basically missed out? Yeah. That was me. I spent about six hours on March 13th, running between Wilmington and Jacksonville looking for a Switch. I went to Best Buy and basically got laughed at because the Switches sold out as soon as the doors opened and I was three hours late. I cannot tell you how many GameStops and malls and Best Buys I had visited. Twice I watched the last Switch being bought in front of my eyes. TWICE! My heart could only take so much. Before I left my house that morning, something told me to just drive into Jacksonville and visit the Walmart on Yopp road. Why didn't I just head there to begin with?? After exhausting all of my resources and being on the verge on tears (yes, I know, consumerism is a disease), I gave Walmart's electronic department a call as a last resort. Helen said she had Switches, but couldn't hold one for me, but that she did have a few and if I could get there ASAP I would be able to purchase one. Shout out to Helen in Electronics. You literally made my day. Now, my review isn't just for this one time, but I really do enjoy shopping at this Walmart compared to the one off of Western Boulevard. They're both equally as busy, but I receive better and friendlier service here compared to the other one. read more

After moving to the area, we were needing to find stores that we could go to for our household needs. This Walmart seems to be on the newer side and is a bit tucked away from the main roads. I love that it's a Supercenter so they're open 24/7 and have just about anything for your essential and non essential needs. There is plenty of parking and it's fairly easy to get to. You'll find that there are different entrances to get to the different departments that you'd need to get to. You'll find that the store has the grocery section on the left side of the store (by the Market entrance) and the various departments in the center and to the right of the store (with the Pharmacy found on the furthest right side of the store, by the Home & Pharmacy entrance). The store has been organized and well stocked whenever I do go. It's fairly easy to maneuver through the store and find what you're looking for (although, I have only been able to find one price check machine and it was by the jewelry counter up front). The employees are fairly nice at this location. I would highly recommend stopping by whenever you can. You can find numerous things that you are in need of and more than you'll ever need in things you don't need (dang CLEARANCE SECTION!!!! LOL)! read more

They always have their phone ringer off in customer service. I have called multiple times multiple days and they don't answer.. once you get to the store they say they never heard the phone ring. A simple question was all I had and I had to drive down to the store just to get the answer because they turn their ringers off to avoid helping customers. Super annoying! read more

Whoa! Let me start by saying this is one Wal-Mart that isnt overly bombarded! Perhaps on some days it is but slap goats behind I lucked up! I was able to get in and out in a timely fashion rather than what seems to be the norm in some 2 lanes open and tons of people. The employees were very friendly and was certainly in the holiday mood! There are two Wal-Mart's in Jacksonville with one on western and I do notice a price difference not sure why perhaps location. This particular walmart has a vision center located right in the front as well as a bank Wood Forest . I also notice that with item there i also a slight difference in what they have in stock. So if you cant locate what you are looking for at this Wal-Mart and dont mind a little drive you probably will find it. The parking lot is well lit and I'd also like to say theres other shops in this location as well. The exterior of this Wal-Mart is definitely taking care of and clean as is the interior. I was at​ the Yopp Road Walmart at 6 pm on 02-28-59. My cart was filled will a lot of groceries! Temeka at the register was amazing! She took the time to bring the groceries off the spinner thingy and into the scooter basket. She called twice for someone to assist me once I was outside. At some point, Nettie with housekeeping realized I was at the water fountains waiting for assistance and she came over to volunteer. She sweetly walked beside me thru traffic and loaded all the groceries in my van in the handicapped area. Please reach out and thank both of these wonderful representatives of Walmart. They were determined to assist me with a somewhat daunting task of unloading numerous bags both at the turnstile​ and at the van. You should give them​ both a pat on the back. Not sure what everyone else is talking about but this store is kept very clean. Most of the workers do everything they can to help every customer they possibly can while still running their sections and doing everything that they can do. The express lanes were specifically opened because customers complained that they wanted to check their own stuff out and they felt people were a little slow and they were faster, but the second they opened up the registers they complained that they were taking away jobs. I totally understand moving around items but unfortunately every six months every section has to change because it needs to update the items that are not being sold to make room for new brands or more items by those brand. Most of these items stay in the same aisle they're just moved maybe to a different section that makes more sense. That's not the workers or even managers fault, it's the company updating. most of the workers will take you directly to where you need to go and sometimes you can see people just walking away as soon as they get an answer so they're not expected to chase them to the Aisle but for the most part most of the workers do their best. I've seen many times where people were just rude and inconsiderate to them like it was their fault they couldn't find an item or they were directed to the aisle, but just didn't look where they were pointed to and got mad cause they weren't paying attention. My 10 years being down here 90% of the time I was helped and Walmart has a strict schedule on shipment so they don't get everything in every truck. Otherwise the store would be overloading with product so if you can't find some thing you're looking for by using the app which is used specifically to tell you if it's in stock then order it online because sometimes you'll get it faster. I feel like most people complain about not finding a product, but either didn't use the app to do so and look it up or were mad that the workers couldn't find it in the store and this is why I either go into the store myself or I order it online because at least then I know I can get it. read more

This is my favorite Jacksonville Walmart. I am originally from a small town in West Virginia and although this Walmart seems busy to me, it is no where as busy as the other Jacksonville location. In Jacksonville there are 2 Walmart stores, and this is the one I prefer. It's cleaner and less chaotic, and it seems to stay stocked better than the other one. It's in a good location, just off of 17; easy to get in and out of. It's a Super, so it has all of your needs. It's Walmart, so you can never set the bar of expectations high. However, this one I've actually enjoyed shopping at and always seem to run into friendly and courteous employees. read more

This Walmart was the BOMB DOT COM BABY! How convenient can you get not just to have any type of Walmart a few minutes drive away but a super center! Yall had to make it a super center! Gosh darn it that is just too dang amazing! I found everything I needed from groceries to shower curtains from fruits to shower shoes. I asked someone in the aisle after I got a pair of shower shoes where the grilled pre cooked chicken was... I don't know if they have compasses in their head but this woman pointed to the exact location saying just go straight passed all of these aisles and you'll get straight to it on the wall on the left. This place use to be a very nice place until I went with my husband and son to Easter shop and there were people playing with the electric carts and ppl who are perfectly fine using them because of laziness. I have epilepsy and I'm pregnant plus lactose intolerant so my dietary needs are very complicated and my doctor set up an app so I could scan foods that work for me... I was scanning a thing of orange juice to see if it had too much sugar and within a few seconds of me grabbing the orange juice this very rude employee started SCREAMING at me to move out of her way... This is the newer of the two Walmarts in the area and it is way less crowded than the other one. There's not much to say about this location other than you will get the items and services you are used to getting at any Walmart. To me going shopping with my wife at Walmart is like a trek through a third world country. I will not be going back. They have forced self-checking on the customers. It's not enough that we give them our money. Now they are taking jobs from the people in the community and giving nothing in return. They expanded the self-check area to both sides of the store. The self-check lanes now include the conveyor lines for people with more groceries. All the other registers being operated by cashiers (except for two lines) were closed. One for less than 10 items was open & the other was being run by an older cashier who was clearly being overworked. Those lines were backed up with a ton of customers. We had a carriage full of groceries and the self-check lines with the conveyor that were converted to self-check were closed. So we were forced to use the self-check area that has no room for a large volume of groceries. The machines locked up, of course. We had to get assistance from the self-check wrangler. I'm just curious where I should go to pick up my paycheck now that I worked as a cashier. I mean they didn't offer any sort of discount for my cashier services. So now there are no workers in the store to help. There are no cashiers. How many employees even work in the store any more? read more

Called customer service and they said that the first time the delivery driver showed up late and the food went bad so they said that it would show up the next day but never did. So I called the store and they didn't even have an order number for my order. Placed a second order and was supposed to be delivered tonight but, never was. So I called customer service again and they said that the delivery left the store but shortly after the delivery driver brought it back.
