I work here in the OPD department and everytime i come into work im worried about getting disrespected and belittled by John Kellner. It's truly saddening having to come into work and to have to worry about being disrespected for not doing what he says or being 5 minutes late etc. The main reason he gets away with this disrespect is because he gets the job done but at the cost of me and my coworkers sanity. This is probably an ego boost for him but i wouldn't be proud in disrespecting my coworkers if i were him. I would highly recommend not working here if you're reading this. Shopping isn't too bad most of the time the cooled stuff isn't put out it just sits in the back because whoever runs that department is lazy. Also ran into a couple psychotic homeless people in the parking lot but that's to be expected from any walmart. Would highly avoid this walmart. Thanks! read more

We shop at this local Walmart frequently. Prices are really good. The workers I have encountered are friendly. The self-checkout works effectively for my husband and I, even during busier times. I was there on a Tuesday night recently, and the store was stocked well. I switch to their pharmacy this year, and I am glad I did as I get quicker refills and less wait time compared to other local well-known pharmacies. This Walmart is clean. They have a nice bakery for the price of their items. My husband is a big fan of their snickerdoodle cookies. This Walmart also has many theme bakery items, which is great for the holidays and parties. I personally haven't bought clothes at this Walmart for myself, but I have bought items for a family member in a nursing home. Clothes are priced great for what she needs, along with being soft, comfortable, & washable. This Walmart has plenty of parking. I just wanted to provide an overall review of this Walmart since our experiences have been positive. read more

When using the self checkout machines ...the employees are just standing doing nothing apexcept.staring at you scanning your items as if you are a criminal . Especially the 55-60 yead.old guy with glasses. Its not a pleasant.experience ce. I know that's their job but my God they make u feel like ur stealing things. Then its the door.people who check receipts which many people dont.know you do not have to show them legally. You can say no and walk out. THATS why they have an alarm. My opinion hasn't changed much about this Walmart location!! Although I feel most Walmart's offer you the same type of service and you'll see the same stuff at almost any of them this one offers you a little more because of the area it's in. The Isles packed with people that are not social distancing. They usually only have one register open so youre forced to self checkout. I can't complain about the store. I have to ask,why do people go to Walmart in strange clothes and PJ's?? I think since it's a super market and regular WalMart the food should be at the end of the store. If you're like me and buy everything under the sun like a crazy person because the insanely low prices... Went to customer service to buy auto battery and return old one. Oriental couple in front of me were doing dozens of financial transactions. Lots of money changing hands, yard long register receipts. Had to wait a good 20 minutes. Walmart is not a bank. When there is one customer service rep working you cannot spend this time with one customer. Finally another employee arrived. That big store should have 3 at all times. read more

I haven't really had the food walmart makes so i stopped here for lunch and decided to try it. I got a salad which I enjoyed a lot. Good price I think $6 and for a salad from Walmart, it definitely satisfied. Fruit cup was refreshing and the naked drink was okay. Besides the salad, they also have huge subs, wraps, burritos, fried chicken etc. And all are at good prices. If you're in Walmart and need some lunch or whatever, it's definitely worth it read more

Was just at Walmart, no employees to check out people so everyone waiting in line is blocking main exit so if any sort of emergency happens i.e. FIRE or such, a lot people are going to get hurt!! This store is awful. There are never enough registers open. I mean come on, it's Walmart, everyone's favorite store. You have to have at least five registers there. The cashiers are very nice but dear Lord, could you go any slower?? And it's always packed with rude and obnoxious people. Is that a prerequisite to go there or something? Today was my last straw. I went into the bathroom and someone did #2 and walked it all through the bathroom. It smelled like death in there. Maintenance was outside ready to go in, I am assuming someone reported it. I used to hate Walmart but Lanoka Harnor store is different. The store itself is well run and the shelves are typically stocked and organized. Also, pikes move quickly and the people behind customer service have been nice during my visits. I signed up for the unlimited delivery service and that's a game changer. They sometimes substitute if their inventories online were off and they havent lead me wrong yet. Also, the person picking out vegetables is definitely an ace. Never received a bad vegetable yet. I moved here one month ago and have visited this store 10-12 times. Each time I'm shocked at how Poorly stocked the store is (severe storm forecast type of bare shelves). It's poorly laid out store and completely disorganized. Not once have I been there and found what was on my list. Not once have I returned home with frozen food that wasn't partially thawed ( I live 2 miles away!). I've had the opportunity to talk with two managers, Joe and Nicki, regarding damaged merchandise. Both were rude, snarky and indifferent about several issues we were dealing with! Customer service isn't in their mode of "service ". The poorest excuse for a shopping experience. Stay away. This Walmart was very very nasty to customers do to making them wait for Walmart employees to help the customer / customers out in the store waited 45mins for two items. No employees around. It looks like the whole Walmart took a break at the same time. Making the manager or assistant manager run around. Customer service is horrible! I went in yesterday looking for a bike for my sons birthday. First Walmart worker said he can't help me but will call for someone. 10 minutes later still no one in sight. I finally went looking for help. I found a representative and told him the brand of bike we are looking for. His first response was that Walmart didn't carry that brand. If you don't see it here we don't carry it. Mind you we did have a picture of the bike and picture of price tag from another Walmart store where we initially found the bike but that store was 1.30 hours away. Anyway we eventually found the empty bike stand where they did have the exact bike stored at one time. The Walmart representative checked his machine and said that it's out of stock. I asked if he could check the computer to see what is the nearest Walmart that carries it. He told me 'NO' he can't check that I need to call around myself to see who has it in stock. Shocked that I was told he can't check the computer I left that department cause I was pissed. When I finally got home I checked the website and it clearly states that bike was in stock! read more

My complaint is a little different. It's regarding the Walmart app and the managers. People were posting online that the EasyPress 2 was on clearance at certain Walmart's. I checked THEIR (Walmart) app and this location had it on sale. I went and they had 1. I used THEIR WALMART APP and made sure it was set to Lanoka Harbor, NJ. I took the box off the shelf and scanned the skew on the box. It said $40. I went to go check out. That's where the problem began. The manager refused to give it to me for that price. He said it was a "glitch" in the system and that he would have to "take the hit" if he gave it to me for that price. They don't have to honor the online price, which I think is ridiculous! If it was a "glitch", then maybe the app needs to be fixed or removed. I go to Walmart for everything! I purchase everything from clothing, to food, to party supplies...EVERYTHING! I've been a loyal customer for years. I watched the Walmart in Manahawkin being build back in the day. I give thousands and thousands of dollars a year to Walmart. Well, never again!! I hope that not "taking the hit" was worth losing a loyal customer! I will be giving my business to the Target in Manahawkin where the management is amazing and truly appreciates their customers. They also will give you their online prices! And just so people don't get it twisted...this isn't about not getting a good deal on an item. It's the principle being the matter. read more

Okay so I understand that this is a super Walmart. Hundreds of products in the store in all different departments and employees only work certain departments. I could never expect one employee to know every product that is in the store, I work in retail so I understand how hard that would be... But at the same time I would expect there to be a way for an employee to ask somebody else or go into a computer system to get an answer. I asked 4 different employees if they carried a certain product (cooking oil) and all 3 of them just gave me a look and said that they didn't know and didn't have a way of finding out. I've been shopping at this store since moving to the area. Nothing extraordinary, just a Walmart that typically met any expectations of shopping at such a place. Plus sides include a grocery department, craft department and a fairly decent garden department. An added plus is the place is 24/7 except for Christmas. However, convenience aside, try getting help. From anybody. No matter whether in store or on the phone. I ask employees at the location for help they either respond by a) acting annoyed and put upon or b) look like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming semi. And I don't know if these people are being beaten at home or at work, but a Walmart employee will do anything to avoid eye contact. As for phone service, you have to enjoy staying on-hold for forever. And anyone who does pick up can't help you. Infinite transfers. I just finished trying to determine if I was overcharged for paper leaf bags. 20 minutes and three transfers and I still have no clue if is was supposed to pay $1.78 for each of the ten bags or $1.78 for five. Bottom line: if you know what you need, this is just a Walmart. If you have questions or need help, prepare for a labyrinth in which you will likely go made before ever finding an answer. read more

This review is dedicated to the paint department specifically, as I wasted a good hour of my day hoping to get paint here. I was unsuccessful in my journey. As I recently moved back into the area my new place was in need of an interior paint job. After picking up swatches from Home Depot and Walmart I realized both stores carry a lot of the same exact colors, Walmart obviously being a few bucks cheaper per gallon, I decided to go there. After approaching the paint department, picking the color I needed and waiting for over 15 minutes before another human acknowledged me, I had about 5 or 6 different associates walking by tell me "they couldn't help me but they would get someone that would" or "I'm sorry I think all the people that can do paint are on lunch" (it was six o clock at night). One gentleman that kept walking past me realized no one was coming to help after another ten minutes had past and was able to get my plea for someone to the paint department over the store intercom, twice. No one ever came. Finally another woman walking past asked if I was being helped. I explained to her that I had been there about 20-30 minutes now with no help. She stops and says "ok I'll do it". As she proceeds to grab me the "right" paint can she does the opposite of this and grabs exterior paint. After she put that away she went to grab the interior can. Unfortunately, she attempted to mix not one, but two different gallons of this in the machine and neither came out the right color of my paint swatch. She also spilt half the paint on herself when trying to dry down the swatch just to see if maybe it would match dry, it didn't. The second can she mixed for me also had tiny rusty flakes floating around in it. It was Glidden brand, not even the cheapest one. There should have been zero flakes in the paint. Especially after being mixed. It looked old and nasty. After 45 minutes of being at the paint counter at this point, I respectfully declined the woman's attempt to give me the right paint color I needed. She was trying to laugh it off like we were having fun trying to get the right shade but I was not happy. I said thanks anyway and went right to Home Depot, where I should have went in the first place. I was in and out in ten minutes with the color of my dreams! They clean their machines every night at Home Depot and the people behind the counter know what theyre doing. Save the hassle and go there for your painting needs! I have no complaints about the Lanoka harbor NJ store overall, I shop there all the time, great savings on most items ...the produce could be a little fresher, and most times they are out of stock, but they are nice enough to go check in the back which is nice, the assistant manager is a very nice and understanding fellow and will go out of his way to make customers happy....where they fail miserably is in their Pharmacy, hence the low score, I would have given the pharmacy a negative -2 if allowed ...they are rude, inconsiderate, uncompassionate, incompetent and so miserable with their jobs, that if you show any dissatisfaction or complain about service, they will make your life a living hell, trying to get life support medications that you depend on to survive, like heart meds kidney meds, etc. etc. And if you don't have a prescription plan like me. and shop there to save a couple of dollars, they know, that they have you between a rock and a hard place... this one employee gets her jollies at making people aggravated... we are talking about people's health here lives if you can't get you refills on time.... so despicable, shop at there pharmacy at your own peril read more
