    I'm just as down on this place as ever I have been. I still feel like I need a bath every time I walk out of here, but it's almost like having a bad habit. You go, get your stuff cheaper than anywhere else, you hope you don't get robbed, and you go home. I had to pick up several odds and ends for my Dear Mother. This was pretty much the best option I had unless I wanted to go to 2 or 3 other places in a row. As it is a Saturday the store was filled with the polar opposite of America's Best & Brightest. The second star is for a combo of value for one's dollar and improved sense of self worth as a result of today's visit. The checkout lines were horridly long, so the Queen Bee and I actually stood at self checkout. It's against her principles to use self checkout as a rule. We just wanted to GTFO without having to wait in a 25-minute line for a few food products and a economy size bottle of lotion. Our time is more valuable than simply standing in a long line. At any rate, if you like pretty much anything under the sun for cheap prices, then have at it, but do so at your own peril. All the run of the mill national brands of food are here in the grocery section: mediocrity by economies of scale! Same is true of clothing, home goods, beauty supplies and everything betwixt and beyond. Here's the one bright spot in all this gloom...they offer delivery too!

    My husband and I purchased a sofa on Walmart's website and when we got it assembled we found the fabric already splitting at the seams and a hole in the fabric on the leg. Used it one day and the reclining back broke and the pull out for the bed would not stay in place. Contacted Walmart.com's chat advised I could return to any store and I advised I didn't have the original packaging. Anyway it won't fit after assembly. We got an email advising to return to ANY Walmart and no packaging needed. Well my husband and I are in our 50's so we could not return right away because of the weight of the sofa. So, we finally got part of the sofa in our SUV and was told we could return to FedEx. Got the return label took it to the closest location they said they cannot take it unpackaged unless we wanted to pay them to pack it. Contacted Walmart.com's chat advising says to return to any Walmart and no packaging needed. Went to the Ulmerton store they advised they cannot take the return because they are a market place. So, we went to the super center at Roosevelt. My husband went in showed them the picture of the item they called over a supervisor name August he says cannot accept because not packaged. He advised we have been told multiple times we didn't have to pack it up. My husband did get upset of the attitude from August and told him we will leave the sofa outside and dispute with our bank. He came to the car so I pulled up the email from Walmart and went back in. They immediately contacted security and asked us to leave. My husband asked why and he said to August they have been rude and just pointed at him. He immediately called over Debi another supervisor and asked us to leave and I stated will you just read the email. They refused and said if we don't leave they will call the Largo police and have us permanently removed from that store. What the hell. Just trying to return a defective product and I even tried working with the seller overseas but, never got a response. We just moved to this area and if this is the treatment we will get from this location we will not be back. We even filed a complaint with corporate and they said they will look into this and we never heard back. It's been over a week. My husband called to check on the status and says it was closed. Wow we've never been treated so poorly in all our lives.

    AVOID the East Bay location!! I visited the East Bay Ross…read morelocation 2 weeks ago. I waited on line with approximately (8) other customers with only (1) register open. When I asked the manager Nancy to open an additional register, she literally looked at me and ignored me. As punishment for my service request, Nancy decided not to give me guidance regarding the gift card redeeming process. Instead, Nancy chose to stand at her register glaring at me as I tried repeatedly to finalize my purchase. Nancy eventually completed my luggage purchase but left one of the security tags on one of the bags forcing me to return to the register to have it removed after trying to exit the location. Nancy decided not to personally remove the security tag that she left on one of the (3) luggage bags that I purchased, she instead told an employee named Chris to remove the security tag. Chris was wonderful, and he apologized profusely for the issue. Nancy never apologized or acknowledged either issue. I reported the incident to the corporate customer service department. I requested to be contacted by an "Above Store Leader, District Manager, Regional Manager, etc...", nearly two weeks has gone by and I have not received the contact that I requested. Due to that fact, I returned all of the (6) Samsonite luggage bags that I purchased to Ross for a refund. Afterward, I purchased replacement luggage for my family from Tj Maxx in Seminole, and Clearwater where I received PHENOMENAL service from Elizabeth, Robin, and Zeema. Best regards~ Calvin

    OK Goodwill you can do better! I'm not talking about the staff, which by the way work HARD (5+…read morestars), and they put up with a lot of greedy people who want to jump the gun to run to a new bin to look at dirty clothes. Trust me, there is enough clothing that you don't have to fight over. There are times the Haitian women absolutely "hoard" a new bin, they pick up armfuls upon armfuls and put it in their cart and look it over when "they have time". They are the ones when the shoes come out, they position themselves so no one can even look. I digress. My biggest beef is NO AIR CONDITIONING! Come on guys! This is Florida, its June and it's HOT. Yesterday it was 91* outside and everyone was sweating in this very HOT warehouse, as it was 89* inside! Those poor employees! I spend money 2 times a week at this Goodwill. Any where's from $30 up to $80, and I just about left because of the heat. This store is bringing in thousands upon thousand's of dollars a day....and yet you cannot fix the air? I also hope to God that you are paying your employees " top dollar", they are hard workers and I appreciate their effort's and I tell them so! CHECK THIS ARTICLE OUT: THIS MAKES YOU WONDER!
