This Walmart is horrible with grocery pick up service. Do not use!!! I haven't used in months due to moving but they have always been SLOW.. I happened to be in the area and they have gotten worse. I waited 30 mins for an order to be delivered to my car and was told my order wasn't coming up in the system. Which is ridiculous. The people her are soo rude. They never have anyone at the cutting counter and you can call someone and stand their for 45 min and still not see anyone. I need some fabric really bad one day day stood their 45 min and then I finally walked up front and told them. The guy looked at me he was a manager and honestly said I do not know how to cut fabric... Wth. I've stood over in the paint department for a while also. I live in Russett within walking distance to this Walmart. But this particular store is the sole reason why I've stopped going to all Walmarts everywhere. The aisles are jammed with the middle taken up by pallets of unpacked merchandise. The traffic is dangerous and clogs up the neighborhood. The worst was when the Walmart corporate representatives came to our neighborhood meeting to sell us on the upgrades saying it wouldn't increase traffic because, "It would keep the same number of customers there longer, not draw new customers." And they kept talking at us about the new "fascia" as if that were the most important detail and not just the new coat of paint they were putting on. read more

I go to the Walmart up the road in Anne Arundel now. I don't understand why this place has 40 registers and only 3 of them are open at a time. Then you have employees just walking around. Train them and put them on the register. A positive is they have a better food market than Anne Arundel. read more

This location is the worst and it's sad because it's very convenient. They NEVER have anything stocked when you need it! The store is absolutely messy and unorganized. Don't get me started on the grocery pick up. This is my last time doing this. They take 30-40 mins to get your groceries to you, then you only receive a quarter of your groceries on the list! Open 24-hours, which is great for a nite owl like me. It's clean and well-stocked. Parking is convenient and they have a variety of things you'd want from a Wal-Mart. Men's line of clothing is limited and moved away from the main area, probably because women's clothes sell more. I usually will buy a roaster chicken, which varies in size. I try to avoid the long lines at Wal-Mart so late night shopping is great, even when it's past midnight and there are no chickens. It's Wal-Mart but this one is alright with me. read more

They have terrible customer service, the scales at the deli are always dirty, the shelves are never stocked, the carts are all broken, and they never have more than 3 registers open. Had a horrible experience at this Walmart. I drove 1 hr to this Walmart because of the hours. At Approximately 0230 hrs I first a African woman by the name of Fsab was very unprofessional! I ask her a question pertaining to my return of a defective product and she ignored me. When I asked her again she yelled at me and said I heard you. Then I asked her what am I supposed to do? She told me to hold on. 10 minutes later she said customer service is closed "you come back in D morning" I explained to her I'm just trying to switch the product out and she said "They closed at 11 you come in D morning". I then asked for the manager. She points me over to her friend Talicia who said she was the manager. But she had no manager tags or anything representing she was a manager. She said the same thing. I left feeling very frustrated and wishing I never bought a damn thing out of this store! Then while writing this response I made contact with another supervisor outside older short heavier set guy. Asked him about the policies of returns and swap out. Seem like a knowledgable guy. He said "he doesn't know why they did not exchange it and that if you have the receipt they should swap the product out". He told me he'll prove it. I been to this store before and with out fail they have done exactly what he said. So I get back out of my truck and proceeded to go inside. Once inside this supervisor ask Talicia if she helped me and she told him the same thing customer service close at 11 he had to come back in the morning at 7 am. Then Fsab rudely said "ah wat are you doing" I ignored her trying to get this situation resolved and the male supervisor told me that "oooops I didn't know about that". "You see that's my co-worker and she been here for more than 3 days unlike me" I said that I just told you that outside and you said you'll prove it. The only good thing about this Walmart is the location. It's across from Target and Total Wine. Between these 3 stores one can get 75% of their shopping done. This Walmart is very cramped. I read some reviews about how in store pickups get mixed up and delayed so I decided to call the store location to check if my product got in. Been trying for two days ... No Answer !!! It's frustrating !! I tracked the product myself and the automated system said it's been delivered. Then I called the 1800 number and the rep said it will get in tomorrow... smh .. Upgraded store with a full grocery section. It's the closest Super Walmart in the D.C. area. Just go VERY early or REALLY late! It gets SUPER crowded! Otherwise, parking can be a challenge. read more

Although their merchandise is really cheap make sure you check for return policies I just called today to return some things and they said make up can only be returned in 15 days wtf?!? you'll notice they don't add their return policy on the receipt which I think is really manipulative and sketchy. A lot of WalMarts are WRECKS - this place is on the edge. I've been there multiple times and there are good days and bad. It seems that there are more good than bad. Its pretty neat and organized but it still has long lines and they don't seem to care if you have to wait. read more

The associates and store managers refused to refund me for the wrong items I was sent and I was treated with such a disrespect and arrogance by the associated managers Vicki and Kerry. There was a time when shopping at Wal-mart meant great prices on many items in one convenient location. That was about 10 or 15 years ago. Now Wal-Mart means having 32 cash registers...but only 2 open. The only time I have seen even close to all of the registers staffed was at Christmas. Otherwise, you can always expect long lines at the two or three registers that are always open. And this is true at all times of the day, any day of the week, except nighttime...when only one is open. And let's not forget the lazy staff. Back in the day, Wal-Mart had quick service. Now all of them in my area are appallingly bad. Employees make no effort to help customers who are waiting for something, such as at the site to store area or specialty departments with their own checkout. I've had multiple employees pass me by and not one offer to help or find someone who can. And unlike Target, which has a location just across from the Laurel Wal-Mart, if you're in line, well, good luck to you! Target always has employees on hand waiting to serve customers and ready to open a new register if necessary. Wal-mart looks at it the other way: Never open any new registers, and never even activate the self-checkouts. (The Columbia store, a bit further away from me than the Laurel store, has about 8, most of which are almost always out of order. I don't think the Laurel store has self-checkouts, but I guess it doesn't matter, because they wouldn't work anyway.) Bottom line, I used to be an enthusiastic Wal-mart shopper. Now, I cringe every time I have to go there. I almost never have to wait in line at Target, and when I do it's quick. At Wal-mart, I might as well bring a book to read, because it's going to be a long wait no matter what. The best advice I can give you for shopping at any Wal-mart is, if possible, do as my friend in Hampstead advises and use one of the secondary checkouts at the electronic section or other specialty areas. There are usually small lines if any. Of course, this is all assuming there is actually a clerk there, which is often not the case. read more

Worst store in the country! I went to the pharmacy and waited in line for 10 minutes and they pointed me right back to the shelf that I was already looking at without helping me or suggesting an alternative medication. Now the next person who was a different ethnicity, they helped her immediately and came out from behind the counter to help her find what she needed. Instead of ringing me up at the pharmacy I had to go up front to pay, and the young man was texting while he was waiting on customers. I had bought a towel and the young man wiped his hand all over his acne and then wiped it on my towel as he was a packaging it. when I brought that to his attention politely he told me that I had to wash the towel before I used it any way. I'm a senior, and I'm always well dressed and polite when I go to the store but bar none the store has the worse most uncaring staff that I've ever experienced. I was at this store on 01/04/2016 at 2315 (11:15pm). There were only two cashiers open and a total of 27 people in both lines (I counted). I asked the manager (Telisha) to open up another register and she gave me the most attitude I have ever experienced at walmart, so I left my cart in the middle of the isle and left the store. The manager's (Telisha) customer service skills lacked all professionalism that I would normally expect from a real manager. The only reason I come here is because it's literally across the street from where I live and they have a variety of things. I buy my daughters formula from here and they never have Gerber soy even though they signage for it. Also the customer service is absolutely horrible. There's only about four people that work here that actually have common courtesy. They need more registers opened, rather than just four or five when there is a huge crowd of people. I was NOT happy with my recent encounter shopping at this location. I came here for one thing which was a cooler for vacation so I didn't think I needed to grab a cart/basket. As I'm shopping, i saw some great deals and decided to pick up a few more items. I put them in the cooler that I was rolling around. As I get to self check out the female employee goes I need to check your cooler as if I'm going to steal the items I put in there. Excuse me? I just scanned 2items I was holding in my hand and was bended over to open the cooler to grab the rest. If this employee had not said anything and continue to watch me before approaching me with her disrespectful tone I wouldn't be on here writing this review. Um.. It's Walmart. Can you REALLY expect much from Walmart? DO NOT buy produce from here. It's not fresh. Ever. I think I got a few bananas once or twice but that's it. DO NOT buy from the bakery. I needed a cheap quick cake for someone and figured I'd try it. The lady that was putting icing on the cake NEVER wore gloves. Even though there was a sign right above her that said employees must wear gloves at all times. She put the icing on the cakes, messed around with the decorations. Spoke to another employee, touched a mop that the other employee had and went right back to work on the cake. No gloves. No washing. Roll back prices or not... I'm better without that cake. The store isn't clean. Usually there is stuff all over the place. And don't try to buy fabric from them either. I needed some cheap fabric for a Halloween costume. Why not try Walmart? Especially since it's only going to be worn once. I waited for 20 mins and spoke to 5 -6 employees. Nobody could cut the fabric. I figured I'd try again next time I went a few days after. MANAGEMENT SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!!!!!! I went to this walmart to purchase a DVD movie, as i approach the DVD section i noticed ALL of the movies were locked in a glass case. I then had to hunt down a store associate to unlock the case for me. After i found a 4.99 DVD the clerk then told me to give him the movies, i said well i would like to show these to my brother so we can decide which one to buy. He told me i could not take the movies away from the electronics area due to theft at the store, and that some one stole a flat screen tv and other items. He then told me i should have my brother come to the area to see then and that he could not give me the movie due to the RULES. I told that associate NO!! WHY AM I GETTING TREATED THIS WAS OVER A 5 DOLLAR MOVIE?....HE THEN TOLD ME HE COULD FOLLOW ME TO MY BROTHER. so to make a long story short i just brouht the damn movie. I've been stuck going to this Walmart for the past few months since I moved to the area. But I think from now on in just gonna make the 40 minute drive out to the one I used to shop at after what I witnessed on Sunday. I was in line behind an elderly woman and her older daughter. The cashier Mariah (yes that's right I made sure I checked your name tag for your name so I can let everyone know how horrible you treated this woman.) One of there items was not ringing up and they told her about 4 times not to worry about it that it wasn't a big deal. Mariah huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes and walked off to do a price check. Age about 15 minutes she came back and they told her yet again it wasn't a big deal and they weren't pressed about the item. Now both women were hard of hearing so when Mariah had to repeat herself 4 times to tell them she would give it to them at a discounted price she huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes some more and took a very nasty tone with both of them. Then the key pad would not work for the woman's credit card and she told Mariah this but she kept glaring at them rolling her eyes and refused to help them. I finally stepped in and help her with her credit card not being able to deal with Mariahs attitude anymore. I finally get myself rung up and checked out and hunted down a manager and went off! I have never seen so much disrespect in my life. The women were way too nice to say anything but you best believe I did. You do not belong in customer service with that attitude. I have made my way through retail and waitressing and have had people walk all over me and scream and yell but I have never once treated any customer the way you treated those two women. I can't stand when young teens like you think it is okay to treat people like that for no reason whatsoever. Imagine if someone did that to your mom or grandmother how upset you'd be. Your attitude is horrible and you need to fix it. You can not go through life like that. I made it very clear to your manager I wanted you fired and I will see too it that you are. If not but your direct supervisor then I will carry it out through corporate to see that they fire you. I ordered online & even though I was only person in line (one person working at cashier) & one woman getting about 10-15 items at service counter, I was still waiting. After several minutes an employee asked if she could help & I told her I was there to pick up online order (ship to store- free delivery, wonderful!) She then made smart comment about how I should pick it in area to right (photography)- I couldn't see large pick up letters from where I was standing! Her smart comment wasn't needed or appreciated. This review is generous because it's based on overall visits- L-O-N-G-E-S-T lines EVER - if you need a money order, prepare to age 10 yrs after waiting in line.
