I know it's asking for it to use Walmart for anything, but I feel the need to say something about how awful the pharmacy and it's staff are. So incredibly rude and careless every visit but today was the final straw. Called in one of my infant's prescriptions two days ago, it was supposed to be ready by 2 p.m. today...two days to fill one prescription is ridiculous enough on it's own. When we went in to pick it up at 4 p.m., not only was it not ready, but they didn't have it available. The pharmacist was a complete ass about it and only after my wife lost her shit did they "find" half a prescription's worth of a more expensive brand. We are switching pharmacies and sincerely hope that the staff here can find peace one day. read more

Usually, the clerks don't give me a hassle about taking coupons (there's a coupon in each box, and I just rip apart the box at the checkout). Staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. Employees were standing around talking and when I asked for help they snapped at me asking me why I was asking them for help. Then when I finally got someone to help me they told me the product I was looking for didn't exist at all. Which I have seen them in store and I know they are here. They refused to look and told me that I was a liar. This Walmart is horrible and the staff should all be fired. read more

The PICKUP service is AWESOME. I have been using Walmart at the Russet Green location pickup service since May 2020. I must say ... it is a "well-oiled" machine. The ordering is extremely convenient and easy. My order is ALWAYS ready way in advanced of my selected pick up time, which allows me to pick it up earlier if I choose. Once I arrived to let them know I am there for my pickup, I do not have to wait no longer than 10 minutes before my order is brought out to my car. The majority of the times, it has been way less than 10 minutes. They are extremely professional and friendly. Also, the pick up service is FREE of charge. I am extremely please with this service and will continue to use it once the COVID-19 crisis is over. read more

Before today I would have recommended this store for grocery pick-up or delivery as I had been successful with both. But... I placed an order for delivery on Saturday April 18 and booked the earliest available date for Friday, April 24 from 11-12. I got a notice that my order would be 45 minutes late just before 11. That was the last communication I received. I called the 1-800 number 3 times that day and after the second call where I was told my groceries arrived to the store at 3:18PM and they were waiting for a driver. Then I got an email showing $.41-$.43 refunds on each item for a total of $9.99, which turned out to be 10% of my order, with no explanation. With my next two calls to the 1-800 number I was told that they could no longer call out due to a system issue, so they couldn't contact the store. At this point I just wanted to go pick my groceries up. I was given the number to the store's pick up department and was not able to get anyone. Saturday morning, I called the store twice. The first time I was left on hold for 10 minutes. The second time someone answered and I told him I wanted to pick up the groceries and that they were at the store. He told me he needed to consult with his manager and left me on hold for 40 minutes. I finally hung up, placed an order with Instacart (which is on the way) and called back to the 1-800 number to cancel. I get that they are busy and times are chaotic, but they were pretty horrible when it came to communicating. read more

Don't come at 6am and expect them to actually have cashiers!! The store opens at 6 but the cashiers don't start until 7am. My husband and I split our groceries with 2 cards. You cannot do that in the self check out line. This is truly unacceptable and false advertising. Open means open. Period. I shop here strictly for convenience as I live in close proximity. But this really made me upset. The store needs to think about new management strategies. I really hope a supervisor sees this but Lorenzo and a young lady ( I wish I had gotten her name) with dark reddish-brown hair in a short cut are above and beyond in terms of customer service. This happened this evening. The young woman had been handling the pick-up section on her own and it was overflowing in demand and the log in screen was down. She would take names and head across the store to pick up items and return doing the same. Anyway, I tracked my order and it came up as having been delivered to the store but when she checked it said it was "still in transit". Instead of turning me away like another employee tried to do later, this young woman reassured me that she would check if my order had simply not been moved from the section deliveries were kept in. It took a while but the patience was worth it. I was directed to Lorenzo ,who initially saw the same "in transit" message but a moment to physically check. My package had arrived but no matter how much he scanned its shipping label it would not register as being received. Maybe the label never would have registered and my pick up email never came. I just really appreciate it. You were stressed but took a moment to go the extra mile--Thank you both so much. Even if no one sees this I wish you both bigger and better things in the future. read more

As a girl with a budget, Walmart is one of my spots. But I'm not always happy about it. This one is much better than it used to be. For about a week after the remodel it was truly a thing of wonder. And then, because of 24 hours of service and a constant flow of people, it lost a bit of its luster. This Walmart has most of the basic things you need, but don't head in there looking for your specialty sauce or coffee. Sometimes, when it's time to restock, some of the shelves are straight up empty. Whole sections of frozen foods are pretty much gone like people were in there playing Supermarket Sweep. But what can you expect? Keep it simple and this Walmart will serve you well. Most of the time, anyway. read more

No matter when I go into this Walmart, there's always something on my list that they do not have. I mean from deodorant, to protein powder, to cereal, and let's not start about the produce section. I try to find an associate to restock the produce section because there were over 10 items that were missing. I spoke with an associate and they go on to tell me that everyone in the produce section is on a break. What a hot mess! read more

I've visited the store and it's 'manageable'. Most times I prefer to shop at other grocery giants for better Customer Service even if it means paying more...after all they say 'you get what you pay for' including the service. The PHARMACY at Walmart Russet Green gets an 'F' in my view. The service is poor, those behind the counter are rude, wear badges backward to hide a name, and act as if you are bothering them. My family and I will no longer use the Russett Green Pharmacy in Walmart. We'd like to trust where our medicines come from. Why deal with 'Negative' people or behaviors, you can't get anything good from that except frustration in the store and worst of all, why pay for that frustration. If this Walmart isn't the first circle of hell, it's surely hell's reception desk. The apathy and squalor at this location are off-the-charts. Shopping carts pile up in the parking lot in the handicapped spaces and at the front curbs. Employees are hanging out in little groups everywhere you look, chatting and laughing while phones ring off the hook. That would explain why calling Walmart with a simple stock question takes 30 minutes and two or three redials. Overflowing carts of stock waiting to be shelved occupy at least 50% of each aisle, forcing customers to weave their way through an obstacle course just to access the merchandise. Heaven forbid you ask an employee to move their cart so you can get a closer look at something; they make it clear that you are an inconvenience. The customer service desk is an exercise in frustration. It's as if the employees working there have made a secret pact with each other to know as little as possible about how to do their jobs. Questions are met with shrugs (or blank stares from employees who are not fluent in English) and a heaping helping of attitude. Walmart is well-known for giving refunds for just about anything, so the returns area is surrounded by tremendous towers of . . . stuff. Checking out is the last step in your shopping odyssey; there is no sense of urgency whatsoever. At no point does it occur to management to open more registers when the three available checkout lines are so long that they've extended into the aisles. If you shop at this location long enough, the apathy becomes almost humorous because you can't quite believe that Walmart actually expects people to give them money, considering the way they treat their customers. If you intend to visit this location, pack your patience. If you intend to visit on a weekend afternoon, turn around, cross 198, and head to the Target across the street. By spending approximately $5 more on your total bill, you'll preserve your sanity and won't feel like you need a tetanus shot when you're done. read more

This store has really gone down hill!!. The shelves are empty. With one or 2 registers open which have long lines. You do get directed to the self check out line which has very rude ladies showing you which one to go too, and don't have a question when you are there because you either get the eye roll or just plain lip smacking. Lots of employees at the front of the store just standing around. I do like Wal-Mart but this store really needs to have some lanes open all of the time. Take the people standing around at the front of store just talking and put them at the registers. revamp this store so the customers get in and out with out the hassle of standing in line most of the day. read more

This Walmart is by far the worst Walmart I've ever been. The few times I have stepped into this store the racks are always empty. There never any fruits or vegetables, they never have the shelves stocked. Very disorganized and dirty. The employees don't seem to want to be there. There is hardly any managers on the floor. I hate this Walmart. Every time I come here I leave missing something because they never keep the shelves stocked. So I tried the online ordering thinking that would be easier NO. I used to frequent this Walmart all the time, back when my only ther option was the Walmart in Landover Hills. It was the lesser of two evils, and this location is a supercenter, so of course it was a tad better. As far as Walmarts go they all seem to have their own problems. With some its shady locations. Some have are not properly stocked. Some have horrible parking all hours of the day. This location has two out of the 3 I mentioned. The loaction is in a decent place, but the arking sucks, and the shelves at times look bare. The lines are long at times, and they seem to be real selective of when they want to open more lines up to assist in a rush. I have found myself going to the Walmart in severn more nowadays. The parking sucks at times, but it's in a nice area, and stays well stocked. I may not like the snotty people I always seem to run into there, but at least the selection is good. I like the location, but let's be real--- It is a Wal-Mart. You can expect low prices, ok (not great) customer service, and extremely long lines. It is 24 hours, the selves are well stocked. My advice is to not go here during peak hours. Oh, and the produce is just ok. It seems like they get the lowest grade. Let me preface this review by saying I hate ALL walmarts anyway. This one is second to the worst one I've ever been to. And as a former Flight Attendant I've been to quite a few. On my way home on 295N after a long day of hiking, I thought I'd just run in here and pick up a few things to make a quick dinner. NOT. Nothing was quick about it. Had a hard enough time finding parking due to carts being scattered everywhere. When I did finally get into the store after pushing pass what seemed like thousands of people, nothing I wanted was stocked on the shelves. No fettuccine noodles? Really? Ok moving on I can substitute the noodles. And that was a far as I got because they were also out of the cream needed to make the pasta. Needless to say I'm glad they didn't have it anyway because if they did I was not going to stand in either of the four lanes that they had open with well over 20-30 people in each of them. I needed a new watch. I figured it would be a simple process at the Laurel Walmart. Not the case. First of all, almost all of the watches are locked up. Second, there was nobody working the jewelry section. I found an associate nearby stocking shelves. When asked if someone would help me with the watches she shouted out the name of a person that I assume was nearby. No response. The associate that I was talking to disappeared, and after about 10 minutes I left. I went across the road to the nearby Kohl's where everything was out in the open. I was able to pick out a watch, and pay for it at the jewelry counter. They actually had somebody on duty there. Too bad Walmart, you missed out on a sale. This is not new for me. For years I refused to shop at the Laurel Walmart due to poor and indifferent customer service. read more

I haven't been in in about 3 year because of the service issues here. I heard it had gotten better, and so I gave it another shot. I can faithfully report nothing has changed. I found everything I needed, but then got trapped for 25 minutes in the checkout, where the cashier (though very nice) was unable to match this stores price in their online shopping app, resulting in a 75 cent overcharge for milk. Also, produce did not ring up as marked. Won't be back for a few more years, as crowded as it is here, I'm sure Walmart Won't care. read more

Walmart... Walmart... what can I say? Is there ever any GOOD Walmarts? They have a small fresh produce section that suffices if you're in a pinch but I don't substitute this place for my grocery shopping. If you need something this place will probably have it and it's 24 hours which is nice. You can also get a money order here if you need it. If I can help it though I avoid this place! The check out lines are ridiculously SLOW! And the staff are quite unfriendly and often talk to each other while checking out which slows down the line. The Walmart in Laurel, MD, is dirty and crowded (always long check-out lines), with difficult parking (including having to go through a maze to get out of the parking lot and onto the main road) and TERRIBLE customer service! :-( Moreover, this store doesn't honor on-line offers for Walmart. For example, for National Doughnut Day today (7 June 2019), all Walmarts were supposed to give customers a free glazed doughnut (no purchase necessary -- see links below). So, I got one at the bakery section and checked with one of the employees there who told me that she had heard about the offer, but her managers hadn't briefed her about the details. Nevertheless, she said that I could go ahead and take the doughnut. However, when I went to check out my other items, the cashier said that she didn't know anything about that offer. So, she checked with a floor manager, and the floor manager said that Walmart wasn't doing that (just Dunkin' Donuts & Krispy Kreme). I then heard the cashier tell the manager that she thought that I was "trying to pull a fast one" on her. :-( Finally, I just paid for my other items and told the cashier that she could just keep her doughnut if the store wasn't going to honor its on-line offers. This Walmart is horrible with grocery pick up service. Do not use!!! I haven't used in months due to moving but they have always been SLOW.. I happened to be in the area and they have gotten worse. I waited 30 mins for an order to be delivered to my car and was told my order wasn't coming up in the system. Which is ridiculous.
