I don't know if any one has noticed but this Walmart has changed for the better, it's stocked when we get to the store at 7am. I hate when you get to a grocery store and there are piles of canned goods, etc. on pallets, my opinion...when a store opens it's doors. EVERYTHING!!!! So apparently (according to the employee standing by the door) it is mandatory that customers present receipt to exit the store. I'm sorry....is there a sign somewhere stating this? Without a doubt one of the worst customer service, Either by phone or physically. It took me literally an hour just to get a hold of management. I was looking for Castrol edge 5W 40 motor oil and they have been out of stock from the warehouse for about a month and a half now. I've been showing up every single day because employees relayed to me that the forecast will be two days from now as far as restocking. Whenever I showed up they will say I'll gave us another two days and we shall have it on stock. Sad to say I don't know if I'm gonna be coming here anymore. read more

It is so frustrating trying to find someone that can understand English and assist you. If you call on the phone you get passed around and disconnected. If you ask in person they walk you to another person who many times also doesn't speak or understand English. I know that we have a very high Spanish speaking population in this area, but get real with hiring and vetting candidates that can actually help your customers. read more

I've been scouring Walmarts for a certain Christmas ornament to be used later as a wedding favor. The folks at the Manassas Walmart went the extra mile. I called their Christmas shop to see if they had the ornament and spoke with Maria. She was so helpful on the phone. Maria found 10 ornaments and put them aside for me. I get that the products are cheap and the employees are probably paid minimum wage but WTH could it kill the representatives of this company to have some ok, better yet, DESCENT customer service?!? Working at Wal-Mart in Manassas of all places may not be your "dream" job but "Hey...Jack," the economy sucks be happy to have a job!! I am tired of clueless and/or rude employees that have no idea where anything is, whom refuse to help and appear to almost be irritated when you ask them a question. It's your JOB, if you don't like it, LEAVE. It's as if the employees are just aimlessly walking around buying time until they get off. Train your staff and if they don't speak ANY English you should probably keep them in the back. Asking someone 25 times where something is and they don't understand, "where are the bike locks?" "Locks?" "Like something to lock up your things?"...and they just stare at you like you are an idiot or as if you're the one speaking a foreign language...then they don't even bother to go get someone who can actually help, completely unacceptable for a business! Absolutely DESPISE this Walmart! While attempting to pick up a one hour photo order of photo cards today, I was completely ignored for 10 minutes, other than one employee acknowledging that I had been standing there for quite a while, asking if I had been helped - to which I responded no - and then going about her business again of shuffling items in a cart & doing absolutely NOTHING about it. Let me add that they have a screen to touch to alert an employee that assistance is needed...what's the point if they don't acknowledge it! After at least 10 minutes had passed, the woman behind the customer service desk finally asked if anyone was helping me, so again I responded with a no. She was in the middle of helping a customer (who maybe waited in line only for 2 minutes) but asked the other customer service rep, one who was busy chatting to another employee despite me waiting and despite a growing customer service line, to come & help me. Instead of turning towards the photo counter as he was on his way back to the customer service counter, he continued to help the next customer in line and said that he would be with me in a minute. At this point, I was so fed up that I began to walk away & tell him that I had been waiting for 10 minutes & would buy my prints elsewhere. His response, "I said I'll be right there." NO THANKS AT THIS POINT! If he had been paying attention to his job instead of chatting while working, he would have seen that I was waiting much longer than anyone in the customer service line. As others have said, it's Walmart & you can only expect so much. Unfortunately, I do expect a little more than this from Walmart or any other store. Completely unacceptable! Management should really step it up! In addition, I tried to buy a specific spray paint 2 weeks ago. The same destroyed can remains today without the shelf being restocked. The store is always unbelievably chaotic with people scrambling around, pushing, unwilling to move or wait to get through in the overly crowded aisles. I've said it before but mean it this time...NEVER AGAIN! I gave this place a 2nd and 3rd chance after months of not returning, but this was the last straw...I'm done. I'd rather spend just as much time going to several stores for my needs vs the one stop shopping "convenience" of this horrendous super center! Side note: there was also a family (men, women, & children) partying in the parking lot & not the back of the lot where no one is parked...in the middle of it all. This is the worst Wal-Mart to ever go to! The produce is horrible. Everything is bruised, rotting on the shelf or way over ripe. Prices are different than what they are on the shelf and when you tell them that there is a bin all with the same price or more on the shelf that say one price the cashier and front end manager argue with you. My daughter saw a toy that was on the shelf and listed for $17.98.( there were others on the shelf too) Went to check out and the toy rings up $38.88. Cashier says she can't do anything. Spoke to manager a he walks over with my husband and sees that there are others for the $17 price and is willing to give to us for that price but then another associate comes over and says no and accuses me of being like others trying to ripe off Wal-Mart. (Lol do you believe this nut job!) She then says she can give 10% off. I say no thank you and point out that there are additional toys on the shelf that are in the wrong spot and leave. I haven't like Wal-Mart since a 5 years ago when I tried on a shirt in the dressing room and was asked where were the clothes I tried on as soon as I opened the door. I had one shirt that I was going to buy but told her she was rude and she can keep the damn shirt. I wrote a letter to corporate about the incident and all they did was call and ask about the cleanliness of the dressing room. I think these people are really dense or maybe they just have something against normal people. The funny thing is that when we pulled into the shopping center I said lets go to Target and my husband said "oh come on honey it won't be bad every time you go" ha ha he promised we will go anywhere but Wal-mart from now on. read more

Bought a Timex watch and the stem fell out within 2 weeks. Tried to return it, but didn't have the receipt. I did have the Amex charge with the single item billed at $32 from the jewelry counter. Walmart refused to find my receipt on line and refused to accept the return. Costco wouldn't have had this problem. evidently the Store manager refuses to have staff look up receipts and has very poor customer service policies. I am so fed up with this store! I get my groceries here, usually once a week, and I bring my own bags. I think there is ONE cashier who knows how to bag groceries with reusable bags. The cashiers do not care how they put things in bags, some of my items are smashed, milk and juice containers laid down with things piled on top of them, chips and bread stuffed into bags. And 20 items or less self checkouts so I can't bag them myself. Plus, most of the cashiers are unfriendly and seem to not care. Won't be back unless I have 20 items or less. read more

In my opinion, this is one of the best Walmarts in the area. I think it's the largest and it usually has a much larger selection vs. the Walmarts in Chantillya nd Fairfax. The parking situation isn't bad but you share it with the mall. The employees... well, it's Walmart (what do you expect?). read more

2/05/12 Store number: 3673 9401 Liberia Ave, Manassas, VA. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGERS!!!!! This store had two displays at the front of the store. One being the Pepsi 12 packs (which include Dr. Pepper) for $2.75 and a clearance table of toothpaste reduced from 94 cents to 44 cents. DON'T BUY IT unless you want to go through this. I picked up one Diet Pepsi and one Dr. Pepper 12 packs along with 3 of the toothpastes. When I checked out my total was 185.86. When I checked the receipt I was charged 3.98 for the Dr. Pepper and 94 cents for each of the toothpastes. This was Super Bowl Sunday and I really needed to get home. When I got in line there were SEVEN people with TOOTHPASTE waiting for refunds. The woman in front of me asked for a manager since it did not seem anyone was concerned about this. I also asked to speak to a manager. One of the girls said she would call a manager and then SUDDENLY she was the manager. I guess Rosie forgot to read my Customer Service Manager name tag that morning. She did not seem to have any customer service experience and made no attempt to correct the problem. Then she disappeared and never came back. I thought that WALMART had a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. The money was refunded by Roberto who was patience and apologized not only for the delay in service but for the price discrepancy. Another manager named Keith spoke to be for about a minute and when told the price difficulty with the Dr. Pepper just walked over to the display and seemed confused that Dr. Pepper (about 300 boxes) was with the Pepsi products. He also NEVER CAME BACK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Poor Sam Walton is probably rolling in his grave. What every happened to customer service?? Walmart used to be such a proud company and their employees were outstanding. This Walmart has been going downhill fast over the past year. I highly recommend some professional customer service training for Rosie and Keith. Neither of them handled the situation as a well-trained customer service representative would.
