Hunting for highway snacks and drinks to fill the cooler, I stopped at this Walmart between I-81 and US-11 (Williamsport Pike). A busy parking lot with cart corrals that need some attention, there was a bit of litter here and there. The store is in good shape with shelves reasonably stocked and no merchandise on the floor. There were plenty of carts available at the entrance. Aisles were clear and the queues at checkout were decently short. Overall, an A-OK shopping experience today. The automated check-out register monitors need customer service training. Many of them are standing around watching the checkout registers for theft, which makes the checkout experience terrible. Walmart should ask Lowe's to give them a customer service training class. read more

Since I live closer to DC, the Walmart that I normally shop at is a lot smaller and a bit more chaotic than this Walmart. I like the offerings that this store has. We came by looking for folding chairs and the selection is definitely better as well as the price range for the items. The lowest price available at my local Walmart is around $15 and it is $10 here. Checking out was quick and the line was not that long when we were there. read more

Stopped by there yesterday to grab a couple gifts for my cousins' birthday party. One item I was looking for wasn't on the shelf so I looked around to find some help. After walking around both the toy and electronics departments for almost 5 minutes, I spotted an employee. Before I could even get my sentence finished that I needed help, she cut me off saying: "I'm off the clock and going to lunch." She then walked on past me without offering any help. I walked back to the aisle I was originally in and another employee started down the aisle. When I turned to ask her, she huffed, turned around, and walked to the next aisle to get around me to go to the backroom. I have never been so disgusted with the rude and anti-social people that work there. I will definitely not be shopping there any longer. read more

A slightly plump young lady with black and blonde hair told me she didnt feel comfortable serving me. I asked if it was because of how i looked, and she said shes not allowed to not serve me based on that, but she still was uncomfortable serving me. I politely greeted her and asked her how her day was, so the only thing it could have been is that i am a muslim lady wearing a hijab. I would understand if I was rude or threatening but i was very polite, and did not deserve the complete disrespect i received. Showing rahmah, showing mercy, is our way; but this was just too much and I feel the need to say something. DO NOT go to this walmart wearing a hijab unless you would like to be denied service for no reason and be humiliated. The walmart down the road next to the old mall is much bigger now and they were polite to me, i would suggest to go there instead. read more

It's a Walmart so there is a certain expectation that comes from that reality. I for one was truly skeptical of its arrival and have been pleasantly surprised that the management has been able to maintain a certain level of cleanliness and customer service. read more

Clean and we love that the lay out is the same as all Super Walmart. The employees at the entrance and exit are very nice and friendly. The cashiers must at least act like they want to be at work. One smile is all I ask for especially if I'm smiling at you. This past weekend the computers went down and no one including the manager wanted to make an executive decision. They kept saying how they didn't want to loss their jobs. What?! While they were processing our exchange. That was nuts! I had like 8 people behind me. It was crazy! Management should be empowered to make the right decision and not fear loading their jobs while making an executive decision. We like this Walmart. It is clean and usually not total chaos even when busy. We shop here instead of Hagerstown, MD store. I really hope the new Super Center in Hagerstown will be run better than the existing store. read more

Just arrived home very disappointed with Walmart. My wife had her sight on a particular inflatable Pumpkin Head that was around 8 or 10ft tall. First, we could not find a box with a price for it. We did see a ghost that was the same height for the price of $59.99 so we assumed that it might be the same price. I approached a lady that was at the self checkout station, who I guess helps customers out who have issues with "self checkouts", regarding the pumpkin head. She did call for someone to assist us, we waited and waited for 10 to 15 mins until we finally gave up and decided to just purchase our stuff and leave. As we were about to leave I mentioned my experience to the greeter and he suggested we should go to Customer Service, and a lady who heard about our situation was kind enough to assists us to Customer Service. They did immediately get some ppl to help with getting the pumpkin head but it was the display one. They didn't even know what the price was, so they said we might sell it for $48 since my wife found a similar one for that price online. We were ok with that but then, they didn't have all the parts, it was missing the stakes, hooks and rope to hold it from flying away. My wife and I were not to happy having to purchase those items separately since we would need it. Several minutes later they said to head to the hardware section to look for some parts. We found maybe 75% of the needed items as one person was helping us find the parts, it was already getting late and I was starting to get aggravated with the time being wasted to find parts for it. I spoke to the person helping us that with all the stuff I have to purchase it will come to the original price or maybe even more, and I don't even have all the missing parts. He said they might reduce the price at Customer service. Finally we headed to customer service after time being spent on searching for parts and I still didn't even have all of them meaning I would have to go to a hardware store to find it. When we finally arrived, I spoke to the lady at Customer Service explaining that it would not be fair to pay $48 plus some of the extra parts charged additionally and with the time that was wasted as well. She said there was nothing she could do because it's already discounted to $48, when she rang up the total it was a little over $59. I told her that it's ridiculous, I still have to look for the hooks at the hardware store and the price is already at it's original price?! She didn't have a respond for me, so I told my wife it's not worth it. They could care less about the time that was wasted and to pay full price for an item that's incomplete is insane. I left very disappointed and even spoke to the greeter at the exit who suggested I should speak to a manager, I told him that I already spent to much time here and that I will just write a review, he did apologize on their behalf. read more

This is one of the worst walmarts, the customer service is terrible, the food lion in Shepherdstown is much better, with real customer service and comparable prices. Do NOT waste your time at this Walmart, actually Walmart should be ashamed of it self with how this store operates! read more
