This is a decent Walmart on Joe B Jackson. They have very friendly and helpful staff members. Overall, the store is generally fairly stocked and supplied. Their produce is usually very fresh. And overall they have quality products at reasonable prices. If you are crunched for time you can also place orders for pick up or delivery. read more

This is the closest Walmart to our home, so we often stop by this store. However, it isn't my favorite one. They never have a wide variety here or are friendly. I end up going to the one on Old Fort Parkway instead, their selection & service is so much better!!! read more

Visited on the 3rd day they were open. I like the large and spacious parking lot. The building is new but the products are very familiar if you have visited a WM recently. The ammunition was still fairly well-stocked which is what I was counting on. The cashiers are still going through some training as they are not totally familiar with all of the possible transactions that could happen, so I was delayed due to having to call an experienced cashier/trainer to help. read more

This place f****** sucks The secret shopper make you feel uncomfortable when shopping follows you if he doesn't like the way you look even stares you down and will stand there waiting for you get out. I started to follow him now and he gets scared but it's ok for him to do it, I get it's part of his job but there is a way to do it not stand there and stare you down or make your kids feel scared. It got so bad I had to take my lil kid out cause she started to cry thinking he was goin to grab her. Walmart do better read more

It's a mixed bag at this location. The store itself is really nice and clean, almost as if the "People of Wal Mart" haven't found it yet. The layout it a bit different , it and seems that some departments are much larger that what you'd find in other Walmart stores. Overall, the whole experience is great until you get to the register. Every time I go in there, they only have two or three lanes open, and half the time in the store is spent in line. read more

Walmart Supercenter - Customer service? We ain't got no steenking customer service! - Grocery Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Well I guess like most businesses, when this Walmart first opened it was tremendous. Friendly staff, seemingly happy workers, etc. The last two times I have been here, I have been extremely disappointed. The time before tonight, I stood in line almost 30 minutes because the cashier who had just opened her line only had $20 bills in her cash drawer and could not give change the person in front of me. This was not the cashiers fault by any means, but it was someone's. When a manager finally came to the register she said she was the only manager in the whole store. Again, that might not be her fault, but it someone's. I also noticed in the recent visit that the deli was closed due to lack of staff. Doesn't seem to fair well. Tonight I "enjoyed" listening to a conversation between the cashier and Department Manager Carlton while I checked out. Carlton mentioned how much he hates "this place". He also mentioned, right in front of me, that the cashier could go ahead and go. She only had 30 more minutes on her register and who cares if four more customers come through. I am a customer service manager for a major company. If I heard one of my managers talk in this matter, I would make his life easier for him and he would not have to worry about "this place" again. He would just need to go down to the unemployment office. I have a friend who has worked at another Walmart in Murfreesboro for several years. They have mentioned that it is rumored that this Walmart is not doing so well. If anybody wonders why, maybe they need to take a look at management such as "Carlton". I hope that the problems that seem to be plaguingthis place or taken care of soon. I really do enjoy the location of this Walmart. Maybe it will get back on track sometime soon. read more

We live on the other side of the Boro, actually closer to the Old Fort/Thompson Wal-Mart, and take the drive down Veterans Parkway - out of our way - to this store. Why? 1) clean - clean. 2) not crowded - the usual nut jobs are not seen 3) ease of access - until this store, we never got to park right in front of the store. Never had a problem in this store. If I keep suggesting it to my friends, I may need to go somewhere else (LOL)! read more

The world of Walmart... The place where we take all your money and treat customers like shit! Ok here we go... I went to Walmart at noted location with my family to get groceries for upcoming week. While proceeding to check out we finally finished with the cashier per scanning and bagging process... After we paid over $130 for our items and I was placing the last bag in the grocery cart... I told cashier to have a nice evening and we (my family) started on our way... I didn't get two steps from the bagging area of the cashier that I just had checked out from and this guy who works for Walmart as a greeter at front entrance stops me and asked me for my receipt. He said, he had to check any item not in a bag, so I showed him my receipt. The items he was checking for was a crock pot I purchased for my wife however the asshole didn't even look at the bottled water I had under the bottom of the basket! I asked him did he really think I stole this and I'm right here at the cash register in which I just checked out from with my family! Then, I stated you don't even trust your own cashiers! He stated, Its my job to check un-bagged items... So, I talked to a manager and she stated he is suppose to check customers at the door while exiting the store like Sam's does it... Im good with that I told her however, my ass didn't make it that far which is bullshit! I told her he was lucky my kids was with me... That's what saved his ass from me getting into it! Old asshole... need to be at home retired!!! Anyway, this store sux. They (some Walmart employees) don't even trust their own damn cashiers or customers who don't look like them (you out it together!) This store is alway a pleasure to shop in! It's clean, the employees all try to please, and the shelves are neat and well stocked. The quality of merchandise is above par. Great new store. We love shopping here since it is so close to our house. The store is clean and well stocked. Employees are friendly and checking out is quick especially with the self-check lanes. There is a subway inside. The deli has hot chicken and sides which are great for a quick meal. This store has everything we normally buy. read more

Pros: least trashy one in Murfreesboro. Clean. Cons: don't come here at night no registers are open and departments are closed. Which sucks for those of us who live a night-shift schedule. Self checkout, like anywhere else, is a joke. read more

I've been to this location at least 4 times since they opened. Each time I have left happy. The layout of the store isn't confusing like some of the Walmart's I've been to. The staff is actually friendly, hope that lasts! The store and restroom is clean, always a plus! I'm not sure what Robert S. was expecting. But I don't think it was fair of him to give such a low score, based on one visit to a brand new store. Oh well :) Super excited for the location, as it's so much closer to home, for me. Most of the time you can't find what you are looking for. I have to call the store while I am there for help. Then I'm told "we are a smaller store,and we don't carry a lot of stuff like other stores" I need to go to another store. read more

This review is specifically about the Photo Center. I placed two orders, one on December 7 and one on December 15. When I arrived, I was not greeted, but simply asked "what's the order?" I went in to get both orders on December 15, but was told (with attitude) that only the older order was ready. I assured the worker that it had been long over one hour since I had placed the order, so she checked the area in the back where probably 60-70 photos were strewn about randomly. She finally found my order and I was on my way. While looking for frames, I took my photos out of the envelope only to discover that I had 3 extra pictures of people I'd never seen before. I walked back to the Photo Center and explained that the photos were not mine. She looked at me like I was an idiot and asked me to check the label to make sure the photos were not mine. Why? I had never seen the people in the photos before, so I saw no reason to do that. Then the other worker would not take the photos from my hands and asked her coworker to take them because her hands were "too dirty". The Walmart itself is excellent and my favorite one in Murfreesboro, but I will not be going back to the Photo Center. Very bad customer service. read more

This place carries more brand name items than their Equate brand items which I prefer. Walmart has many good quality item that I find not only do I like but the price is usually significantly less. I am handicapped so I prefer to go to the closest Walmart to me but I find I end up having to go other places if I want the better deal thus using more gas which ends up being a lose lose situation. I have contacted them and I guess they can't be bothered stocking their shelves with their own products. And why do they have so many registers if they don't use them?.. I end up waiting in long lines because they don't hire enough cashiers. Ridiculous!..I finally gave up and started shopping at Kroger. read more

I'm one of those people who is terrified of social interaction outside of my customer service/retail job so I usually end up going to self check out. But the one time that I go in to return an item there was a line of about 6 people in front of me and 2 behind me. There were two people working returns/customer service but as soon as the one smaller woman with short black hair got done taking care of her customer, she left and left all 7 of us in line to be checked out by the older woman. Working customer service, I know that this is a HUGE no no. ALWAYS put the customer first. Its in the most basic training out there. Furthermore, after this employee left the register I was stuck in line waiting for another 40 minutes while a manager walked by atleast 4 times and saw that there was a huge line. Seriously irresponsible management and staffing. Will only come back because it's so close to my house. Will be making returns elsewhere from now on. read more

This store has a very poor selection of in stock merchandise. They are always sold out if dog food and other larger items. But over all I have never been displeased as I was today. I was approached by an African American woman in the electronics department. She didn't have a walmart uniform on, so I assume she was a vendor selling something. Her spiel was so fast I didn't understand what she was selling. But in her approach I felt like she was assessing me in regards to my clothing and jewelry. At one point she even pointed out to her "co-worker" my diamond wedding ring. She too then came over and they both then began to focus on my jewelry. The girl with the fluffy hair, that originally approached me asked me what kind of work I did to be able to afford such a large ring. I told her I was retired. She then proceeded to ask me in a round about way what my credit rating was. Still yet, I have not garnered any information on what she is allegedly selling. I felt really uncomfortable with these two as if I may have been the target of some scam they were trying to run in customers. Walmart really should screen their vendors better and require them to wear identifying clothing that indicates they are a vendor. I am still a little shaken from the ordeal. I am older and these two were certainly intimidating to me. read more

Customer service is deplorable. Front desk is disorganized. I called customer service when a clerk left some of my purchases out of my bag and was told to bring in my receipt for a refund. When I got there, the manager had called in sick, and after waiting 20 minutes, I was told that there was no record of the incident and there was nothing they could do. I had already re-purchased the items I needed at another store so wanted a refund, not a replacement. Shook the dust off of my feet when I left and will not return to the store. Incidents like these are whyI usually shop at Target! read more
