Now that I am grown, I wish I could go back to my parents paying the bills lol. At any rate, I like the changes Walmart is making. New beverage products, new clothing line, new design. Looks like they're attempting to embark upon the couture fashion style....and while that's highly unlikely, I will give them an A for effort. 25OCT22 ~ People, it is almost always about people as to how I feel as I leave a store, any store. Walmart has some very good people, both willing and able, but, unfortunately they are outnumbered by those that are neither willing nor able to be good representatives of Walmart. They do not seem to know or care and are not helpful or friendly, think of Eeyore & you get it. Not rotating stock, i.e. you do not put the older items in front of the newer items. All too often I see perishable goods where the new stock is in front of the older/oldest stock. This results in items going out of date and that are supposed to be discarded. The discarded items raise Walmart's overhead & the costs are then passed on to the consumer, i.e. me. I have to pay for Walmart's failure to properly rotate your stock. Please help to keep your prices down by properly rotating your stock. Items that are still on the shelves after the sell by date. Milk & Pico are two examples. See my attached picture of Pico de Gallo that was on the shelf but was past the sell by date. Too many items do not have prices shown. Too many items I want to buy you do not carry. You have, & have had, your Christmas items up for about a month and a half, & it is not even Halloween! And you did away with most of the Garden Center items to make room for the Christmas items. read more

Same company, different experiences per store.. I stopped by Walmart on my daily, post work, commute home. The parking lot foreshadowed the experience that awaited me. The parking was very far and in between. It was a frenzy of cars entering and exiting simultaneously. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by the greeters and then after I saw the lines. They were all exceptionally long, but more were open than usual. I continued to pick up the items I stopped by for. Surprisingly there were some sales and rollbacks on the things I came for. I made my way to the checkout lanes and surprisingly I was motioned by a cashier who just opened to come to her lane. Overall, the experience was average for a Walmart. One thing that needs is improvement would be the lingering shopping carts throughout the parking lot. But to their defense it was very busy. read more

Average Walmart, buuuuuut what totally sets this WalMart apart from others is the Saints & Liquor store in the front of the store just down from the customer service area. I mean it's a true #stickandmove!!! Grab your booze & a Saints tshirt & #partyondude!!!! I find the prices to be fair for the quality of Saints Paraphernalia. We were able to score an adolescent hoodie for under $20. We were pleased & this store has gained a fan for the ample selection of Saints tshirts, hoodies, back packs, glasses mugs, koozies, PJs etc. Additionally, worth noting is the LSU section that sometimes is intermingled with the Saints Paraphernalia. I also saw some Mardi Gras item inside as well. Seems like a hodge-podge of local souvenir/team sports items. read more

For some reason I end up at this Wal Mart when they first open around 6:30. As I enter the employees are still stocking shelves and arriving for work. I head to the water section and pick up a case for work and head to the only check out that is open. This whole process only takes about 10 minutes. This seems to be the best time to shop at Wal Mart, otherwise it it jam packed with people. One note; every time I go to this Wal Mart, the employees stare at me while I go to get my water. It is if I am an Alien sent to observe the Wal Mart workers. My guess is I am the only person crazy enough to go water shopping at 6:30 in the morning. read more

Absolute worst delivery experience ever. My order was supposed to arrive between 9-10 and around 9:11 I get an email that my order was delivered...nothing at my door. Call customer service and they tell me that the store was behind and to give them time. 11:30 rolls around and I get an email saying my order was delivered and once again nothing at my door. I call customer service and they say it will take 3-5 business days to get my refund and that I should get an email confirmation(didn't get it) and I call back and get told my refund wasn't processed. Why does NOLA get all the cool stuff?! Cherry Cola Oreos... That is not something you can find in Los Angeles. There seems to be an obsession with The South and all things Cola related but I love it! I bought a bag just for kicks and giggles to give to friends back home. My friend wanted to show me a Walmart Supercenter (although I've seen them before in other States outside of California. Full disclosure, I rarely shop at Walmart because I hate how little they pay their employees and their business practice. Having said that, they do offer extremely low prices for things, and I even got a few super hero shirts that I found to be quite amusing. It's a one stop shop for all your grocery, home-good, office supplies, and other needs. It's quite convenient. The employees were friendly enough, but as an Asian-American person outside of California I'm always at edge and feel the eyes of intrigue follow me wherever I walk around this city. Parking was ample when I went, and it's quite convenient. Did I also mention their shorts were $7? I ended up coming back with more clothes than when I left! read more

Update: if I could give 0 starts I would. Today the pick up associates refused to give me my items and had me wait for an hour before they brought them to me. I WAS CHECKED IN AD UNLISTED PER THE APP and right next to the #1 spot which in from of the door. I asked if they were having trouble locating my order and he said no, my manager said not to give you your items if you're not 1-8. I asked why no one told me this after they saw me sitting for a long time. He ran off. So I ask another associate if he could tell me if there was any spots open past this HUGE SUV. The associate yelled at me and said we ain't bring your croup until you move. Said woaw. I was just asking to see if there was a spot open. He said go check yourself! And walked off. WOW this is how you treat your frontline customers. You should be ashamed! Save your time and travel a bit further down the road to the next walmart. Walmart 4001 Behrman Hwy N.O.,LA I purchased this desk online for in store pickup. I went to the store to do some shopping, thinking my order maybe finished by the end of my shopping trip. I checked and there was 3 on the shelf. Instead of waiting hours for an email to get my order, I spoke with OPS Angie and asked if I could pull my order myself. She said I couldn't. I had to wait until the order was processed. Cool. I made it home. About 25 minutes later I get an email stating my order was canceled because they were out of the item. I immediately went back to the store and there, just like 30 minutes earlier the same 3 were sitting on the shelf. I purchased the desk instore, but still have to wait 5 days for a refund from the online order. Angie needs to give her job to someone whom wants to work. There are to many job shortages these days for someone to be employed who doesn't want to work. Now I see why they call this location the "Hoodmart". read more

I appreciate my neighborhood Walmart -- although it has its probs, it's still better than most for my budget. But I want to touch on their speedy online order process, and how my local Walmart was able to quickly ship my most recent online Walmart.com order. It was faster than Amazon! So, I ordered a ginormous 32lbs. of Fresh Step Cat Litter from Walmart.com, and I was told it would be delivered on January 5. So, ok cool... HOWEVER... The very next day, Walmart emails me, "Your delivery will be earlier than expected!" Why? Because my local Walmart nearby had the Fresh Step product in stock, so why not just send their delivery driver person to deliver it to my home the today vs. waiting for it to be shipped from across the nation from one of their warehouses and such... Quicker than Amazon Prime -- and it was cheaper with free delivery! Watch out, Amazon..... read more

There's nothing that makes a Wal Mart experience better than not having to talk to Wal Mart employees. It's not that I have an issue with anyone who works here; the entire process is just faster if I don't have to interact with people. It's the future; get used to it. So, I needed a few things and Wal Mart makes it super convenient where you can just order off of the website and go pick up your order at the store. So, I ordered my item and the next day I got an email telling me my order was ready to be picked up. Great! All I had to do was walk over to their magic "order pick up" kiosk, scan my phone and my item was delivered to me bagged and ready to go. Then, I needed another item from the store, so I hunted it down and paid for it at self-checkout within minutes. I didn't speak with one employee the entire time I was here. Seriously- why don't more people do the self-checkout? I found everything I needed quickly and ordering and picking up my item was a breeze, so I'll be back just for that. Note: I find that this Wal Mart processes orders faster than the Manhattan location. Not sure why, but that's been my experience. read more

Typically, I am scathing in my opinion of big box low cost retailers, and this place can be iffy....if you don't know your way around. Product: Lots'o cheap stuff, from food, to electronics, to toy, to garden stuff, to hunting supplies, and much more. I find the worst aspect about the products here is the common lack of stock. You'll get what you pay for, though..... (2 stars) Service: Iffy on the best of days. My little secret to making the rare trip here bearable is to check out in electronics, or (even better) the garden area. The register wait is the worst here. Employees are a little under par here, and they don't seem to be well trained, but I've been in worse places. (2 stars) Facilities: A stand-alone building at the border or Orleans and Jefferson parishes, I hear the New Orleans City Council lobbied heavily to have Wal-Mart on their side of the line. Parking is more than ample here, as long as you don't mind walking. The building exterior and interior as pretty clean. Went to the "Customer Service" counter to ask if they carried an item and told "we can't look up anything" this was on 2/22 at 3p. I said can you call and ask someone & she says where have you looked- OMG are you kidding me! The Mgr from cashiers was just as rude when ask. Then he comes back and says they're in sporting goods. HUM..... you can't verify they're in stock- he says no only a Mgr can- HUM didn't he just say he was "a Mgr". Get back to sporting goods and u got - not a floor worker in site! MANNN, I never thought I'll do a review on a Walmart.... Anyways, we just needed to get our battery check for our car. The lady in the front desk should've told us how long it'll be. But did she? NAHH...30 mins later we're still waiting and behold another customer comes in wanting to check their battery, but was well informed that it'll take 30 to 60 mins. While doing so, the worker looked straight at me saying those particular words to the customers.. IF I WAS INFORMED, it would've been a different story.. an hour passed and we decided to ask for our battery back. Well guess what guys! They lost it... They brought out the wrong battery thinking it was ours... we demanded OUR battery. Which was later found.. SHEESHH! This place sucks. The staff is uninterested in customer service. The management is nonchalant with resolving issues and employees who are wandering around aimlessly are not repurposed to alleviate things that have a sense of urgency. I hate this place for how they pay their employees which contributes to the shitty service we receive. As I type this it's been close to two hours in the layaway line waiting while the manager has been called to come help out but is a no show after being called more than twelve times. This review is for the auto and tire repair department. I went to this Walmart location after having a bad experience buying 2 tires at the Walmart on Manhattan Street (thats a whole other story.) Anyways.. I had to get 2 more new tires for the back and because I am driving cross country, I thought it would be best to buy them from the same store and a place that I could a nation-wide warranty. I decided to go to this Walmart hoping for a better experience. I am happy I did. Even though I was hesitate to buy more tires at Walmart, Joe Joe was very professional, knowledgable, and personable. His staff seemed to be on the same page unlike at the Manhattan location (not to bash that Walmart - they were very nice at both locations but I would DEFINITELY take my car to this location for their professionalism) Joe Joe and his staff made up for my bad experience at the other Walmart and I would take my car to get tires there again in the future! :) read more

But it's even worse when it's the only place listed that's open late, until you drive all the way there and the lady talks through the closed door saying they actually close at 11pm. I'm sure they're doing their best but they have only self-checkout, with two locations on opposite ends of the store, and they have ONE guy monitoring and helping customers at both of them. It's obvious they need more help. Maybe there's another person that does that job and they were out sick or something. But if there isn't, for God's sake HIRE someone. There are hundreds of people who are out of work. It's bad enough that they've gotten rid of cashiers and have only self-checkout now. This is the WORST Walmart location in the New Orleans area!!!! Haven't been to this location in two years and don't plan on going there anytime soon . The employees are rude, disrespectful, and ignorant.
