They have AWFUL process of online returns! And even don't try to help costumers with that! Was trying to return item. Instructions say: "Show return barcode at CS desk and you all set". But they scanned the item and said "it's not matching our system. Call 1800 # and figure it out yourself." Of course it would not match your system if you scan random barcode on the box. They don't think outside of their little box and don't even try other ways. Even managers are not familiar with how to use their system the right way. I returned the item with FedEx and got the money back. I called the hot line to leave a complaint, the representative said that the manager at the desk didn't follow the correct way of processing the online return. I also filed the official review. Totally chaotic customer service. I was in line for self-checkout for 10-15 minutes (because half of the self-checkout machines were broken), only to finally get to first-in-line position. So I wait, and finally the guy in charge of the self-checkouts wave the guy BEHIND me in the queue around me and into a self-checkout. Peeved, I switched to a normal line, only to have a creature that I couldn't ascertain was a member of our phylum cut in line while I was waiting, necessitating yet another line change. I finally got out after about 40-45 minutes total. About an hour after that, I finally got home and called the store and told this story to someone, who 'transferred me to management' and promptly hung up on me. I called back and the phone must have rang 20-25 times before they finally picked up and I had to tell the story again. They apologized and said they'd talk to the guy. And if you believe anything will actually get done, I have some beachfront property in Kansas to sell you. read more

This is my local walmart, the one closest to my house and stop at several times a week. This is a "supercenter" so they have just about everything you're looking for with the exception of a garden/automotive center but you can find oil, car wash and other car items here. I have had several issues with items being out of stock depending on what time of month you come lol they also never have enough people checking especially at peak hours...like stated in other comments. Absolutely!!!! Won't be coming back to this Wal-Mart and advised all my family members and friends to do the same! For the simple fact that I came in on 1/22 around 4:30pm purchased random items I needed for home. Came across what I assumed would be a cool tooth brush for my son a Phillips sonicare for kids. You can download an app for it yada yada basically a $40 toothbrush. I didn't open it until about 7:30ish to obviously have my son use it. When I opened it I noticed someone had replaced the actual toothbrush with an oral B tooth brush. Please look at picture to see what the heck I'm talking about. So I went to Walmart to try and return or exchange it. Because obviously it wasn't the toothbrush I intended to buy especially not a $40one not even the same brand. When I got to the register I explained it to her she gets the manager standing by her and shows her unfortunately I didn't get her name older tall woman. She quickly says she can't help me with it because it's not the same tooth brush. I told her that's the problem it's not the toothbrush I bought. She told me to call the company because it wasn't their "problem". I told her so I bought this here and one of your employees excepted this or did it themselves and now I have to figure it out myself? She said yes I told her this is fucking frustrating! She proceeded to say "well I was going to help you but since you want to cuss me out I'm not goi g to you have to call the company we aren't excepting your return" mind you I bought this damn toothbrush for $40 I'm the one who got robbed and I was being treated like some idiot that was shit out of luck. And to accuse me of cussing her out was far from true because I said fuck in a sentence. I asked if there was another manger I could speak with they call over another girl all I remember is she was short and her name started with an S. I'm not an idiot so I know the other manager who went to go get her obviously lied and told her I cussed her out when I didn't so this manager was no help. Started telling we don't do returns on toothbrush especially if they've been open we wouldn't put a returned toothbrush on the shelf. When obviously they did because I got screwed over. I am still in the process of talking with the corporate office for Wal-Mart to put a real complaint in and see if they can do something about it. Because I shouldn't have to "deal with it" if I switched out toothbrushes I definitely wouldn't have brought it back and pointed it out. Reading other people's reviews on their returns I see it's a pattern for them to accuse you of getting mad and to make it our problem if anything is wrong. I'm a supervisor as well and would try my hardest to help a customer or just take the loss. The Cosmetics Department at the North Highlands Walmart is terrible! There was no employee in the cosmetics area so I asked two different employees to call someone to unlock the men's cologne case. I waited over 20 minutes. I also asked two yellow vests and received two different answers: 1. We are waiting for someone 2. It's their day off Which lie is it? This particular Walmart opened a few weeks ago. Not that we like to visit Wally World, they are the only ones that carry Yoplait original strawberry yogurt in the large containers! So I decided to go ahead and pick up a few more things I needed. Olay face wipes for one. Finally found them and when I was pushing the cart out into the aisle I heard a voice call me back and say I had to pay for those in that area. Say what?! Now I have to do two separate transactions for an item that was $5.97. No thank you. I simply put them back and left. Are you kidding me? So this Walmart has about three maybe four isles of personal care items which you have to pay separately. What is up with that? Just another reason why I don't visit Wally World. Honestly, for being listed as a Walmart superstore it definitely is not a superstore. They have a few items of each thing but not a great selection. Bad customer service specially from "team lead sherlene" really sucks to encounter people that work in the customer service and don't know how to greet people and even employees. She was mad at something and when I got to the register she took an item from my stuff because it didn't have a tag but didn't ask me if I didn't want it anymore and proceeded to check me out, I had to ask her if she was going to put it back and she said no unless I wanted to go get one with a tag like it was my job or something. Today, I arrived to purchase an ink cartridge for my printer. I showed a pic of the cartridge I needed to the employee in the electronics department. I even had the part number that I needed in the pic. The Walmart employee told me that he did not have that part number and provided another cartridge and told me it would work and is compatible with the part number I showed him. Well, when I returned to place the item on my printer and it was not the correct one. I returned back to the employee and wanted a refund. He said he will not provide a refund because I opened the box. I asked for a manager and nobody arrived. I called on the phone to speak to a manager and the assistant kept hanging up on me and stopped answering my calls. Their fault and they do not want to take responsibility. I understand that there are lots of people running scams on Walmart, but I am not one of them. What a shame. I will never shop there again. read more

Everything you think shouldn't be locked up is locked up. The whole make up section is locked which is whatever, make up is easy to steal but the camera dings at you and it's like What could you even steal? The whole aisle is in glass. And if you actually need something in the glass you have to wait until you get tired of waiting and go on amazon. So not only is everything locked up, anything you manage to buy you WILL be accused of stealing. I had 3 items. 2 were windshield wipers and 1 was a soda. I had my phone on the self check counter and the machine said I scanned the wiper weird and told me to wait for an associate and one of them actually just stared at me and avoided helping. The other one was running around. The machine showed us video footage of me clearly scanning everything. Obviously the worker was sick of the machines accusing everyone of stealing. I feel bad for the workers here, I hope Walmart gives these people fat Christmas bonuses. This place is very clean for the most part. We used this Walmart to pickup a few things when we were in town. It has some great parking options here but the parking lot can get very full from the looks of it! Some lack of communication opening up lines when it gets crowded so that needs to be worked on. Licensed Mens Graphical T Shirt section could use some TLC as it looks disorganized but it's not their fault for the most part but still needs to be stocked. read more

Security Alert......! I shop at Walmart because of the wide selection of products and there low prices, but security is getting out of hand. Let me explain I wanted to purchase some "hanes T-shirts" finally located them behind (lock & Key) I pushed the call button several times and waited for an associate to unlock the display, after making my selection I asked for the items to put in my cart because I had more shopping to do, I was told "No" she would leave them at check stand 13....! I completed my shopping went to the next available check stand asked the clerk to retrieve the T-shirts and that I wanted to speak with a manager, she asked what type of manager I said any type would do. I explained to her that shopping at this store made me feel like a criminal with everything being under "lock & key" then being accused at the exit to "show my receipt". Meanwhile "joe security" started "eyeballing me" I asked the manager to escort me to the exit door which she did with a smile while "joe security" followed us to the exit eyeballing me all the way to the door. Somebody strap me to a chair! Why in the entire world did I think going to Walmart (Supercenter at that) on Christmas Eve was a good idea! I figured since I only had a handful of items to pick up I would be fine. Well my day ran long and I didn't arrive at Walmart until after 3PM. As expected, it was a madhouse. Determined to get my items come what may, fortunately I found a parking space within a few minutes and headed into the store. I needed a specific doll that the Walmart app said was at this location (non related to Yelp: Shout our to the Walmart app developers! If you open the app while inside a Walmart location, the add auto updates your location. With most apps you have to manually change locations to see products on hand so I thought that was super cool!). I needed a specific doll and it was a locked item which required staff assistance. The store was crawling with customers, I didn't want to leave the area, didn't see any Associates, so I get a little frustrated and anxious, trying to quickly figure out how to get Walmart staff assistance without leaving the area. Then I noticed a service button on the locked area that I hadn't previously seen (go Walmart!). I press the button and Ms. Lana appeared like a Santa's Elf, literally out of thin air to help me. She also showed me additional dolls and accessories from the same doll line, that were located in another area that I would have otherwise missed. Despite the feeling of a lack of safety at this location (I've shopped before), Walmart had security managing the parking lot (another score for Walmart!), which was nice. This place is horrible. The assistant mngr. Alina and the mngr. Tiffany made sure that what started out as the laziness of there employee Keshia wound up being a loud vindictive bumrush. I went there to buy some books for my son. Instead of trying to type in the code they decided to say the venders made a mistake (DC comics). They proceeded to make insinuations that I did something wrong. I bought some books and ended up spending close to 200$ that's what I did wrong. They berated me, lied and said I was upset which was hilarious because they were the only ones yelling. It was amazing. I've never had a problem at Walmart before till today. So okay. I don't know where to begin with this review as I just shopped there tonight and was devastated on so many levels. This will be a very disorganized review but accurate nonetheless. It's a brand new store and the "store" was clean and we'll stocked even if they were either completely out of Louisiana Hot Links or don't carry them all together as there was an empty area with a label present yet unclearly stated which item was supposed to be in the void. +1 for my regular Ghetto Walmart on El Camino as they always have them. And now one of the most irritating areas experienced on this trip: Shitty ass uncivilized, uneducated in basic mannerism as well as common sense and common courtesy and decency; humans shopping there and meandering aimlessly as if lost throughout the parking lot who intentionally engaged the fellow shoppers driving in their autos in the parking lot in a game of "chicken". From a logical standpoint this act of aggression & lack of common sense on the part of these uncivilized morons makes no sense at all as the current odds of survival are definitely in favor of the automobile & it's driver in any Pedestrian vs Auto scenario. Just sayin... (-) Many of the employees behaved as if they were from the same lot of parking lot losers and instead of behaving in a professional manner behaved as of they were more interested in chatting and hanging out amongst themselves then actually working and providing customer service. This isn't acceptable. (-) They need to hire multiple security personnel to enforce And patrol the parking lot. One trip here will thorough explain this commentary. (+) Pick up of our internet order at the customer service desk just inside the front doors was actually easy and the associate was very pleasant and helpful. Ordered what has proven to be thus far a great coffee pot for $20 in red that was only available online. Shipping to a store is free which is why I decided to have it shipped to this new North Highlands Walmart so that I could experience this new store for myself. (+) $2 for 2 additional years of extended warranty coverage on the new pot using Wally Worlds coverage. It's some of the best in the business as I've used it before. Coverage begins after the manufacturers warranty expires which is economical and gives you the best coverage in the event your purchase busts. (+) Spacious store with a garden section and stocked full of fresh meats, veggies, dairy and frozen and packaged foods as well. (-) You have to enter this store with your game face, tude and disposition in full force lest you allow yourself to be easily identified as a person who will tolerate the aggressively rude and disgusting behaviors of the Neanderthals shopping there. I realized at this trip that I've held my own and am acclimated to the Ghetto El Camino location over the past 2 years which is the roughest one around and have done so quite well and have secured my place in the masses who also shop there as one who is clearly not one to fuck with. I also decided at this maiden voyage to this North Highlands store that in order for me to actually enjoy my time here I would have to invest the time and energy to establish the same "don't fuck with me" presence here too and for now have decided I'm going to stick with El Camino s it's mild compared to this new joint and I'm just not up to the investment of energy at this point. It's a shame really.... This is a brand new store with so much to offer the community yet it's this same community that is trashing the store based solely on the lower life forms frequenting it. read more

Today, 1/8/22, 8:30 am, I went through self-checkout and got $60 cash back. They were in $20s so I needed to break one of those $20. The self-checkout cashier told me I can get change at customer service. Well, HARRIET gave no service at the "Customer Service" counter. She refused to change a $20!! Visited this store the first day it opened. The store was very nice and very well organized. My only disappointment was that I noticed there were a lot of young people working there, many of which seemed more like they wanted to talk to people than wanting to help customers. I would suggest management keep a closer eye on their employees and make sure they are more customer service oriented and know that they are there to work and not to play. read more

Gave 2 stars cause it's nice and clean. I usually am never in this area but was and stopped because needed a few items for my lake trip. Big parking lot Clean entrance But employees were not very interactive with customers. I saw over 10 in a total of my 30 minute shopping trip and not even one said "hello! Is there anything I can help you with?" All of them were young. And especially two employee girls literally squeezed past my cart and another customers cart to walk past me. Hello!! What happened to "excuse me can I pass by?" Or waiting for me to just get past or better yet, walk around me and the other guest. And this gets better. The girls walk past me to stop in front of me and talk next to a rack of clothes. Now I had to walk around them. Wow! I hope this place gets a little more courteous towards their guests and customers. Will not be returning. read more
