Employees look angry all the time. Never speak or smile, freight on shelves when you can find any to spite pallets and pallets of freight everywhere, freight is out dated or 2 days away. Ask an employee a question in the meat department he said and I quote. "let me finish my conversation with my manager" Damn and the manager said nothing not can I help you or Daniel go a head and help this lady. I have converted to Costco. Change your Managment staff they are definitely not doing their job. If costumers can't shop for all the pallets and empty shelves and shopping carts filled with empty boxes. Why do you open at 6 am when you are clearly not prepared? I noticed you no longer post your regional managers name and number, well smart move on your part. I was in the store today. Upon entry I could hear a dog barking. From his bark I could tell he was large. The dog was not wearing a service dog vest or service dog in training vest. Great location , not far from the warm mineral spring that I love to go to. Of course when I pack in a hurry I seem to forget some things that I want to take to the spring , like shampoo and conditioner also a facial mask so it can be a total spa day. This store is super clean and organized , employees are helpful and most impressive clean bathroom . I liked they had tools for rent and also their plant department . I could have bought some plants ,but they would not do well in the car and the heat . This store is really a super store . read more

Walmart has changed and not for the better,assistance is nearly gone and cashiers are vanishing, replaced by self checkouts that generally not well received or necessary since there are employees just standing around watching assisting when asked. We have limited our shopping there primarily due to lack of adequate customer service. Shopping should be a good experience free from aggravation. Opened my ham to put into the oven on xmas eve and it was bad. of course i couldn't find the receipt. went back to the store they tried looking it up and it was not there. So NO refund, and no replacement ham. Thank god for Aldis! the debit transaction was listed in my account but receipt not found at store or online at home. I pretty much almost always feel like I'm about to have an anxiety attack whenever I have to come to this Walmart location. If I can go to a different store to avoid coming here, I will. It's dirty, it's always packed with people, and it takes forever to find what I need. Lines are always long and I don't think I've ever really had a friendly cashier. In one particular instance, the cashier decided to have a full on conversation with the customer for an extended period of time AFTER she had already paid and put her items into her cart. Rude! Only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the young man that helped me load an ottoman into my car that I had ordered online and scheduled for in store pickup. He was so nice and helpful, which I really appreciated. It was a little while ago, but it was really the only pleasant experience I've had here. Unless you really need something that you can only find here, then I'd try to stay away. read more

What has this place become? I used to come here with my family and we would enjoy ourselves playing in the produce throwing lettuce and apples and each other, but recently I broke my ankle and was in desperate need of one of the electric scooters. I came in on a nice bright Sunday morning with my lovely wife and family but to my demise there was no scooters available so I had to crawl on the floor. We were having our usual Walmart food tossing and this....THIS fiend had the audacity to scoot past me and ask why I was on the floor. I said you ma'am don't need no scoot to scoot along but she laughed and said that she had a long day of work and was wearing the wrong pair of shoes. Unbelievable I am on the floor getting welted with lettuce and apples and I and mocked by this land whale floating on wasting her time on this beautiful machinery while I drag my helpless body on the floor to get my weekly shopping done. North port Walmart is absolute trash! The store is open for business and we asked to try on a dress shirt. After 2 managers walking together walked up to the fitting room asked to try on a shirt and they acted like they couldn't hear us we asked again and then the managers were rude and said we can't try on the shirt at this time because it's new in package. I told them I just want to check the arm length. They then said we can not open it and the package was already damaged only one in my possible size being a medium and having long arms. Said we would damage the already damaged packaging. I guess they don't want my money. I don't get it that Walmart is always a problem however the Walmart in port Charlotte is so much better! read more

Why is the only other review for this location one of an apparent disgruntled former or current employee? Now for my review, it's poorly stocked and all the employees except for a chosen handful seem to hate their job and humanity in general. There is a lady in the pharmacy that is a rude nasty bitty who needs to quit her job because she seems to truly hate the public. The deli clerks are slow, lazy and complain about Walmart every time I seem to walk by. The cashiers/self checkout clerks never smile. The store is dirty, poorly stocked and terribly crammed. Who takes up most of the aisles with huge displays so there is only room for one to get by?!? But the prices are right and the location is close so I go anyway. Brought in a return ... took 25 minutes in line waiting as they only had one person working in returns. People were doing money orders and it took way too long to return an item. No excuse making people wait so long. Other employees just wandering around while everyone waits. Went shopping after. ... 2 very overweight employees walking side by side in main Isle almost walked over me not moving for customers and being just plain rude Store was also poorly stocked for a Wednesday midday. I have been a Walmart shopper for years. Recently Walmart let go of all their elderly and physically challenged employees that were acting as greeters, and they apparently replaced them with bouncers. As I was leaving the North Port Walmart on my way home with my packages, after going through the self check out directly in front of the door that the bouncer was standing at watching me check out, she stopped me and asked me for my receipt, when I asked her if she didn't just watch me check out she replied with a nonsensical "technically yes but I can't see the screen from where I'm standing". It occurs to me that Walmart must be paying minimum-wage "associates" to profile their patrons and insult them by accusing them of stealing products, even though they went through the checkout, where the bouncer couldn't "technically" See The screen at the checkout counter. I have a suggestion for Walmart corporation, get rid of the automated scanners, put cashiers back online, and bring the greeters back. then they won't have to have bouncers checking to see if the patrons that have gone through the checkout, actually bought the products that they went through the checkout with, and didn't steal them. read more

Employee in tire center said they were out of the tires that matched my car so I bought 2 more expensive tires. I found the 2 tires that I originally wanted on the floor inside Walmart after they put the expensive tires on. My van was damaged when I came to pick it up. Red color and scratched on my perfect paint job around the right rear tire that was just installed. The employees denied they did it even though I examined my van for damage just before they took my van to install the tires. I took my can to Walmart for tires: dumb idea. read more

Walmart pharmacy is horrible. Slow inaccurate timing. Whatever could go wrong will go wrong. And they never speed meds for anybody. Which is stupid. Replaced 2 tires yesterday 6/1/22, 2.5 hours to get done. Technician noted in invoice full size spare rim is bent but installed new tire on it anyway without consulting me. (You don't replace battery if you know alternator is broke, do you)? Returned next morning to install new tire on original rim. Will charge me $30 service for their shortcoming and the work has not started yet, I've been waiting over 2 hours. Technician's negligence at my expense, time and money. Wow just moved here from Connecticut returned 5 jars of sealed sauce ( to much sugar) and 3 cans extremely salty sardines I bought 4 days ago. Walmart pharmacy--worst ever experience. Today was the final straw that made me transfer all RX to Walgreens....a lying, ripoff staff. Went to pick up my mother's Speriva and was told it would cost $365 (even though at other pharmacies it cost around $70). Call Humana, only to find out that Walmart did not even process it. Nor, did they process the Z-pack prescription I paid $13.33. I went back to Walmart and the pharmacist said that they did not see HUMANA on my mother's list of insurance cos, even though she has been going to Walmart for 20 years...she said oh, I think her HUMANA was turned off a long time ago (NOT), so she turned it on and the script cost $68. I asked them how much the Z-pack would cost with Humana, and it was a $2.00 copay, so I told them they owed me a refund of $11.33 (which they refunded). I ask ed for a printout of all the RX's Walmart filled over last 12 months, and surprise...95% paid by Humana. The American of Asian descent pharmacist (I did not get her name, but the blond woman) blatantly lied to me to cover up this ripoff. I guess Walmart just wanted to add to their bottom line, and knowing that if my 88 year old mother went to pick it up, she would not have questioned it and would have paid full retail price. No apologies for this negligence. The only excuse was that my mother's Humana card was not activated, even though Walmart has been using humana for years to process my mother's prescriptions. Today I had proof that they lied. Never had a good experience with this Walmart pharmacy ever. read more

Moved here a year ago, only problem I've had was long wait times at the pharmacy and when picking up a Walmart.com order inside the store.
