This review reflects Wal-Mart's most unfortunate decision to discontinue its ad-matching policy. I went there yesterday and was surprised to learn it had stopped price-matching at that store. In an era of changing consumer tastes, a shift to local and more wholesome food, and a decline in food prices, this is an odd decision. Wal-Mart's greatest advantage is price, and the price-match policy was a great way for me to get all of my grocery shopping done in one trip. Local competitors like Sprouts and Rancho Markets have better, fresher and cheaper produce. I used to spend 95%+ of my grocery budget at Wal-Mart, but those dollars will now be spent elsewhere! read more

I usually order online groceries delivery and there was not a single time when they either didn't substitute or didn't send an item at all. I always have to call support and report an issue. And twice I got bad pork, like green and smelly bad. It was my favorite store, so disappointed. read more

Ordered Walmart Grocery pick up. Saved me so much time and they loaded my car quicjly and were very nice. Within the store associates are hit and miss and it's usually disorganized and I have to wait forever in line. Overall though, it's Walmart and usually has what I need. read more

Don't go here if you want to grab something quick. Lines are always long even at 1 am and they close self checkout.....

It was terrible. I went in at 11:30. After waiting 10 minutes at the self check-out it was finally my turn. When the clerk tells me the self check-out is closed. I had one loaf of bread. I would understand if I approached with a cart full of items like the group of girls in front of me. I was told to go wait in the normal checkout stand. Begrudgingly I did as I was told. I found the nearest (and only) check out stand and there was 8 people in front of me, 3 of them having full carts. I waited in line for 20 minutes. The saving grace was the sweet lady at the stand who felt had I had to wait all that time for a loaf of bread. Walmart is just bad. read more

I am shocked by the hostile treatment I received at the Orem Walmart (#1768) in August 2019! I met my son at the store, and after making a purchase in the store we went in one car to do errands. When we got back to the store the car was booted. A short while later a man drove up in an older car which had a magnet on the door saying "Parkway Authority" and demanded $75 payment. At first I did not know if this person was a con artist or really had any authority from Walmart. My family and I have frequently shopped at Walmart in many cities and states and I have never come across this kind of treatment - in fact, most of the stores where I live have a friendly parking policy that invites truckers to overnight in the parking lot. At first, I did not believe this man had anything to do with Walmart, so I called the police. The police did confirm that this company had been contracted by Walmart, so I paid the money and went to complain to the manager. The assistant manager (and other employees nearby) said that the store had no responsibility for the booting going on in their parking lot. Nobody at the store wanted to discuss or admit any knowledge of the booting, and after 2-3 minutes of complaints the assistant manager told me to leave the store - I was not welcome there!!! I am very aggravated by the harassment received at this particular store - both by the booting company (which has many predatory booting complaints against it) and by this store (which also has many similar complaints against it going back several years). It is a huge contrast to the overall good experiences at other Walmart stores. read more

My pictures that I ordered on-line did not come out as I had hoped. David in the photo center dealt with the issue immediately and in a cordial manner. I could tell that he cared about his job and about me as a customer. He even remembered my name and called me by it whenever he saw me!!! This was an amazing experience! Walmart in Orem has a big problem with students from UVU using their parking. If the booting company (Parkway Authority) sees anyone park at Walmart and walk toward UVU they take pictures of the person entering the pedestrian tunnel to UVU then they immediately boot the person's car. There are boot/tow warning signs at each entrance to the Walmart parking area that say, 'current customers only' but those are hard to notice and do not describe what constitutes a, 'current customer.' Today at 11:00 am I went to Walmart to get some lunch on an early lunch break. I turned on my Pokémon Go app and noticed a Pokémon I particularly wanted to catch (Caterpie). I drove to the north end of the Walmart parking lot and noticed some cars had boots. I read the signs that said current customers only and knew I was fine because I was a current customer.I got out of my car, went to the pokestop that had the Caterpie Pokémon and caught it. I went to the restroom and then went back to Walmart. 14 minutes went by from the time I left my car to the time I got back to Walmart (this I can prove with my Pokémon app journal). There was a boot on my car when I got back. Parkway Authority personnel put the boot on my car within two minutes of parking. I contacted the boot company and informed them that I was a current customer. They stated they had pictures of me going to UVU and I explained I was afraid a Pokémon would run away if I didn't catch it before grabbing lunch. They made fun of me over the phone. I informed Walmart security I am not a UVU student but they insisted in my talking to the boot company. I had no money in my bank account (which embarrasses me as I have a wife and 3 kids-I feel I should be doing a better job supporting them) so I just said I had no cash and do not use credit or debit cards when they asked me to pay that way. Walmart security informed the Parkway Authority personnel that I had made a purchase with a credit card in the store and they used that information to call me a liar. I also attempted to get customer service to print receipts of my past transactions at Walmart (by looking up my credit card number) so that they could see my consistent lunch time purchases. Customer service would not give me the receipts, and Walmart security informed Parkway Authority personnel that I had made a request to look up past transactions on a credit card. They focused on calling me a liar rather than looking up past lunch time transactions. I had to walk miles home to get cash and miles back to Walmart. I finally got the boot off at 7 pm. The person who took the boot off scolded me for not just paying with a credit card hours earlier, upset I had wasted his time. They charged me 40 dollars to get the boot off (a discount) after 3 hours of walking and 2 hours of sitting around at Walmart throughout the day. Walmart security's handling of the situation only caused undue resentment of the boot people toward me. I should never have gotten the boot in the first place if Walmart were managing their relationship with the boot company appropriately. I spend three to four hundred dollars a month on groceries for my wife and three kids at Walmart and this is how I was treated. Not a good way to treat customers. Be more discerning. Use logic. Ask more questions. Allow people to show proof. Don't let the boot people boot immediately. read more

Just spent 55 minutes in the return line, waiting on incompetent workers. The Customer Service SUPERVISOR didn't know whether the guest in front of me owed her money or whether she owed them. For my transaction, I had to tell her how to process it (scan the ONLY barcode on the RETURN RECEIPT). I thought I'd get through the line faster being served by a CSS. I was wrong. read more

I need to gush about how amazing this stores assistant managers are and your outdoor department is. Reva, suzie, Brian and David all saved me tonight. I read the store hours wrong and had a terrible flat tire. They went out of their way to help me put on a spare and we're so sweet! I cannot thank them enough for turning my night around. Terrible, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Called them four times and after waiting for 10 minutes they answered and transfer me to another department and...off course the other department did NOT answer the phone and automatically hanged up the phone. Tried calling 3 times again and no answer!!!!!! Cant be worse than that. Going to buy set of 4 tires somewhere else! read more

Ok so I'm torn. The inside of this Walmart is in all seriousness a hot mess. Everything is a mess and NEVER stocked well on food items. I left a bag and tried calling and literally no one answered- EVER. The call dropped twice. The customer service desk is a complete joke. However, the associates they have do their shopping for the app are always prompt, accurate and friendly (so those people deserve 5 stars). read more

This place is the worst and is getting toward terrible. There were LONG lines. I waited for 15 minutes and when I got to the 2nd in line the clerk was helping a food stamp woman. The clerk had to put in numerous numbers on the food for feed forms, for every couple of items. After 10 minutes, the food stamp lady decided that she needed to get something else, so I decided to go to another line and wait. When I realized that the present person at the register was also a food stamp woman, I just left, cart and all. Never, never, no never am I going to Walmart again. read more

worst walmart I've ever been to nothing I need is in stock. i went up to the employees to ask where an item was, they didn't even notice when i walked up to them and just kept talking in spanish to each other. when one of them dud notice me I asked her where it was and she just said no, never seen it here. i barely understood what she was saying because of half of it sounded like spanish. read more

I wouldn't even be going here because of past experiences if they didn't have the one thing I was looking for. Honestly they have the worst costumer service out of any store I have been in. Not only are the people extremely unhelpful but they need to be trained on where things are or if they have something. After asking one person they referred me to another person who took us on a wild goose chase, finally saying if they have it they don't know where it is sorry. I called about tires and the man I talked to was extremely rude. He was condescending and mean! He told me I didn't know what I was talking about and asked me a million unnecessary questions about the tires, then proceeded to tell me I had to get all of the measurements and he couldn't look it up by year, make, and model. Which is entirely incorrect because he eventually did. This is the worst Walmart of them all and Walmart is already a horrid place. read more
