This place keeps deteriorating every year. I asked for assistance on a price to a worker who was scanning prices and told me she couldn't help me. She had a scanner and wouldn't assist me. Called a manager and explained to her the situation and she vouched for the worker's rudeness. All she had to do was scan the product. She spent more time arguing with me. read more

This store is why everyone uses drive up and go or self checkout. The morning cashiers need to retire they are mad at the world and are rude . I went in Monday night to buy a Vizio tv. The worker Steven was nice enough to show me a Samsung that was last years model and it was bigger and much cheaper. I ended up buying it. I go home put my wall mount up go open the tv I notice a huge crack on the bottom right. I was upset but fine because I can always return it. I got today at 10:30Am they tell me the box and tv and receipt don't match. That there's nothing they can do and tell me to leave the manager on duty "Thomas" horrible attitude. I am a Walmart plus member since April 2023. It has been six months. And on the Walmart app, it clearly states Free shipping, no order minimum Save $6.99 on orders under $35. This has been good on groceries and online shopping. Now all of a sudden I am being charged $6.99 fee for not buying $35 more in groceries. When I called Walmart Corp. they stated it must've been a glitch. I asked for a refund on my Walmart plus membership. They stated they cannot refund me the money I paid for my Walmart member plus plan. And I will have to start being charged the $6.99 fee from now on groceries below the $35 amount. read more

This Walmart is terrible. Items are not in stock, or stock is so high up you need to find someone with a ladder to get the item you want. Clothing area has aisles that are barely able to fit a cart through. Lots of young employees standing in groups at self checkout socializing, but not doing anything else. I attempted to return items ordered on line and I was informed since it was through the Walmart market the return could not be processed even though the CSR from their help line informed them the return should be processed, 2 clerks and a manager refused to do it. This used to be my go to location, especially during the pandemic, the store and employees used to be of the highest quality but as of late I have noticed a slow decline in product availability, cleanliness and Customer Service. This isn't a bad Walmart. You can actually find someone to help you without feeling like you are bothering them. I've been to Walmart's before where I felt like the workers were running from me because they didn't want to be bothered. That's not good for a business; luckily the people here seem pretty helpful which is always good. They also have a great selection of products unlike my home store. I like this Walmart but sometimes I forget about it. They are 24 hours so defintely check them out when you can. I mean it's a Walmart but I would say the selection is better than most and you may be able to find someone to assist you. read more

Like this Walmart a lot. It is one of their relatively new stores and a SuperWalmart to boot. It is nice and neat and clean inside. Management here does a nice job restocking the shelves so they aren't always missing a lot of items. Checkout is usually no problem as they have enough checkout lanes open to speed your way out ... they also have a number of self-checkout registers so you can do your own. This Walmart always seems to have a crowd. While some people complain about the politics of Walmart and where it buys its products, we suspect many of those same people shop at Walmart. Everyone wants low prices, and will generally shop where they can get them. Politics aside, this is a nice Walmart with low prices. Only wish they had a gas station. read more

I can't believe my eyes - there barely any people on a line, the cash register guys are working fast and the check out runs smoothly. Usually, one needs not to wait for 15 - 20 minutes. The store is not so big, but compact nevertheless is well stocked, especially with fresh fruits and IT section. The staff is friendly. This is one of the cleanest marts in the are. The floors and the restrooms are shiny! During the day the place can get overcrowded and finding a parking place can be a challenging enterprise. But after 10 pm this is not a problem. However, something else arises - a lot of strangers hanging around asking for pocket money, food and selling whatever they have to sell. read more

Initially, my visit started well. I made sure I got the things I needed because of my tight budget. I was so grateful to find some Bermuda jeaned shorts for a dollar! Super happy until I checked out. The cashier was telling me that wasn't the correct price. It was very insulting for her to ASSume I changed the price. She was trying to peel the $1 tag off. Then she left me at the register and walked to the responsible department for a price check. A manager walked up looking for her I explained she walked back to confirm the price of the shorts marked for $1. She sort of paused and rolled her eyes. Here is the problem with this cashier ASSUMPTIONS! She was POLICING me and the items Walmart marked down and NOT ME! She didn't apologize for her ASSUMPTIONS. I asked if she was satisfied--I called her out. I didn't appreciate nor did I deserve that treatment. It was enraging when she felt justified to leave her register and walk all the way to the back to see if I was lying. Do better Walmart. I am exhausted! read more

Only self checkout, what happens if you have a cart full? Have to bag as you go, then you have to show your receipt on the way out, she counts your items to make sure you did it right. I waited for 20 minutes for an electric shopping cart for my fiancé who can not walk. 3 associates have come asked what we needed and never returned. I finally went to ask someone at the service counter if we were ever going to get help, and I was told if I wanted an electric cart, that I need to go outside and look for one. During the time I waited and complained, I saw about 3 carts leave the store but never returned back inside, and no associate was out getting them either, mind you there were no normal carts available either. I asked for manager at this point, in which not one came to speak to me. When asked for the manager again, I was told they went outside to look for the electric carts. It's rude to not be acknowledged at all when asked for. So if my fiancé came alone, I assume he's to struggle throughout the entire parking lot looking for one or leave without getting what he needs. This is how disabled customers are treated at Walmart in orland hills! Im afraid and pissed off for those who don't speak up and are left unheard with problems who need things from the store but can't get around, because their employees don't help the customer. When I left, there was an elderly couple having the same exact issue. I understand if the electric carts are being used and aren't available at the time, but when you see them sitting in the parking lot, and I'm told to get it myself, that's when it becomes unacceptable. How many disabled customers have been told this at your store? How many elderly have been mistreated? This is why I stopped shopping at Walmart long ago. Poor customer service! So I had a shelf fall on my shin, foot on March 24,2021 and it is now March 29,2021 I haven't heard anything from anyone yet and They told me that I should hear from someone I think they said 48 to 72 hours and this nothing yet. Cashing out before the store closed had $200 worth of items. Sent my daughter back for a cam because I had a dented can. Cashier named Shirley was extremely rude telling me that I needed to hurry up the registers were going to shut off and that my daughter didn't need to go get another can. I tried explaining why and she didn't care and continued to be rude. I asked her why she was being rude and she was acting childish and was like you're being rude. I had an item that didn't ring in at what the display had and asked if there was anyone that can price check the item or if she could she stated no. That it is what it was ringing up for. There was no need for her horrible display of customer service. This review probably won't matter bc the bar is so low to get hired at Walmart but the so call manager at this location JANINE is so rude and unprofessional! It was freezing cold outside and no carts inside the store to actually shop (they were all backed up in the parking lot). I had my 6 month old baby with me and when I went to ask about getting carts inside for customers she said no one is around to help! So I had to go outside in the freezing cold to get a cart from way out in the parking lot bc they refuse to people refuse to do the job! Absolutely unacceptable. Customer service here needs some education!! Not properly trained! Gentlemen brought in a battery and they kept trying to charge him $12 for a core fee, but they were not suppose to charge him. Extremely rude people, the people in line gave him the $12 so they would free up the 3 people working on one customer.... 20 person line; manager leaves the desk to go have a smoke with this long of a line. Large store, Lots of items at reasonable prices Never seem to have enough lanes with cashiers open, self checkouts can be a pain, The plastic bags for your purchase are hard to open and seems like more items get added that you need to have the checkout supervisor approve. Like empoxy glue or automotive gasoline treatment. I know they want to check that the purchaser is over 18 but it can be slow getting the supervisor to go through the process of logging in and keying in the approval. read more

I always find what I need and I have to mention a selfless act. Returns lines are usually long but they try to keep it moving. I was in line to get a money order and Becky was walking by about to go on her break. I felt bad to ask her a question but since I didn't see anyone else I asked her. I didn't expect it, but she was so gentle and took time to answer our question. And then someone behind me had a question and she answered that as well. Then someoone working in the returns didn't know how to return something and Becky went back to help her and then ended up just not even going on break because everyone working in the returns seemed to have a question. I mean who doesn't take their break? Becky doesn't! She chose not to take her break and instead help her colleagues help the customers!!! She is such a good person!! Went to Walmart in Orland Hills this morning looking to purchase a new television. Found one that I liked so i decided to purchase it. There weren't any associates in electronics so i proceeded to the front registers. Of course the only registers open at the time were the self checkouts. I scanned the television, swiped my card and received an error message that said an associate would be over to assist shortly. A young lady walks over, didn't speak, just swiped her badge and walked away. So I re-scanned the television and received the same error...I asked her why was it doing that, she couldn't explain, she tried scanning the television and received the same error, said she didn't know and gave me a look like as if oh well it wasn't her problem. I asked should I go back to electronics...she said yes and they should be able to figure it out...WOW! I walk back to electronics, hit the button for assistance because of course there were no employees in sight. Several employees walked by, no one asked if I needed help...just proceeded to walk on by. After waiting 10 minutes for someone to show up, I left the television in the cart and went to Target, I got a better deal, better television and much much better service. I was disgusted with my experience at this store today. read more

I rarely do reviews BUT, Benjamin at the Orland Hills,IL @Walmart is beyond a great worker. Always apologetic for wait times every time I come in. Polite and courteous. He is definitely an asset to the company. while like most other reviews state. most of the employees act as if they don't see you or they all look so miserable working there. even caught one employee smoking weed in their car, Ben is always there running around and being the employee all companies wish to have. he needs to be up'd to management asap.
