My review is for the curbside pickup. I stopped going inside the store years ago due to so few cashiers & I don't like self checkout. The curbside pickup is fantastic. It runs like a well oiled machine. Never once has my order been wrong. Employees are friendly and courteous. They take care with items such as bread and eggs and have always carefully loaded my order. Very pleased and will continue to use. read more

Walmart seems to be taking an interest in the cleanliness of the stores. I usually shop using pickup be3cause the store size and I have mobility issues. The biggest issue with Walmart is they never have enough riding mobility carts. If I can find one outside I will park there and grab that cart because the possibility of the store having one is very slim to none. I have asked the store greeters if they could find a cart for me and they usually wont. There have been one or two times that I am leaving the store and an associates will ask me if they can walk me to their car necause they have someone waiting for a cart. It us usually hit and miss. This is the number on improvement. The second issue is grocery pickup- the pickers will not usually go with what the alternate pickup choice is- There have been times I have order the larger size of an items, they go with the next available and still charge me the higher price. When it comes to loading the car and bagging, I tell them to put it in the back seat area and I will bag. They usually stack all the items in one place and they fall over - the second they leave. The Best and greatest part of the store is the PHARMACAY and their staff. I absolutely love the pharmacy area. They are always in a good mood, they are patient and they will answer any question I have. I also go and get the necessary annual shots there- they have always been professional. The times I had a few issues- they stopped what they were doing and helped me figure out what was going on and sent me on the way. THe 4 star choice was mainly because I adore the pharacy and the staff. The rest of the store .well it is what it is. read more

I'm happy to have a grocery delivery service in my area though Walmart Delivery at Palatka/FL #551 Super-center is absolutely atrocious! not once but 4 times they delayed the delivery time .. some into the next day .. then a cancellation of my deliver? after the 3 next orders with cancellation or delivery delays, got a $10 voucher towards my "next delivery.. (after I called manager).. that was another insult to injury.. it never was rewarded ($10) for 'hardship which they offered after the 3rd time i was self tortured through attempting another failed grocery delivery... I cancelled from delivery time changing till after 9 pm.. I needed rest though i sat here all day 3x ... unknowingly, waiting for a cancellation... atrocious ! read more

This Walmart supercenter is notorious for not having enough scooters for the seniors who are disabled. Everytime I go in there, I am told there are only 3 working scooters in the store and they are being used, and this is after the store had gotten 6 new scooters in. The new scooters refuse to go forward or backwards life you stop just long enough to get something off the shelf leaving you to just sit to there until it decides to move. About 99 percent of the employees refuse to help the senior disabled find scooters. Walmart corporate doesn't do anything about the situation either, they just flat don't care. Plus this Walmart keeps changing everything around and no one can find anything. When we ask an employee (if we can even find an employee), they don't even know where anything is. I ordered over 100 photo copies online. At 2:00 I was texted that the items were ready and to pick them up at the photo counter. After waiting over 20 minutes for someone to help me (despite hitting the "help me" button and finally a call to the main number) an employee named Caris showed up and was incredibly rude. Like I was bothering her that she had to do her job. THEN... she can't find my order. A manager was called who could also not find my order. When I went to the front desk I was told that they couldn't refund my money because it was initiated at walmart.com. So, they're all making at least $15 an hour now. You'd think there would be better customer service. I've moved my prescription account to Publix. You know, where "shopping is a pleasure". read more

I called the Palatka Walmart to see if they carried the item I was looking for instead of driving 30 miles to the store. after the recorded message I pressed zero to be connected to an associate. The phone rang for 3-4 minutes then went to recorded music for a minute or two, then back to ringing for another minute or two, then disconnected. This Walmart is the worst Walmart in the long sad history of Walmarts, and that takes some doing. read more

Well their a.c. is working excellent. The staff asked me nonstop if I needed help. Very friendly and helpful. The guy offering the free food samples is always texting. The guy working in the parking lot in 93 degree heat never slows down. Very hard worker. Undercover security seems to be busy and efficient. The selection is cheap and not bad. They should offer more food without sugar. I miss the old salads and coconut chips and water without sugar. What I like is that there s not enough jobs for the elderly and Walmart is an exeption, they don t discriminate. The Mc Donalds in there needs to go. If I could give this place 0 stars it would be more like it! I have been trying to get a gift card to my son from Colorado ALL day. When I spoke to them they said "we have to verify" Verify what? I used my credit card with all the info they needed! I called the credit card company and they said they were waiting on Walmart" What are they God? Its my money and my son needs it.....so then they said it will take 48hrs. It sure the hell didn't when I sent my other son a gift card to New Mexico, went right through. Definitely not the worst Walmart I've been to but it does not stand out from the crowd. Store was clean enough and things fairly organized. We were going to buy clothes and shoes for my son and ended up with a toy as well, a train that lights up and has sounds for $5, you really can't beat the deals at Walmart. We ended up finding everything we needed and then some, I was satisfied with the selection but did notice that some of the shelves were empty. We really only went here as it is the closest Walmart to my family's house but I would not make a special trip to return. read more

I was assured the battery warranty started the day I got the battery. it went bad with a year left on the warranty. Walmart says that they will honor a competitors sales item. Went recently and had a competitor sales brochure looked at some of the BOGO item. I could not find a couple of them on the shelf. Where the item was suppose to be there was none. It was first day of sale and early in the morning. Heard from any other customer who has a friend that works there. That they move items the are BOGO at another store into the back storage room. Talked to a manager he says they must be all out if the item. I told him about what I have learned. Only then did he say I may have some more in the back. I told him never mind and that they are false advertising. And that I will be letting other people know what I have learned. read more

The worse Walmart we have been in on our cross country trips. Upon looking into management the store manager Scott Paul Mallatt of St. Augustine,Fl. has a history of working in stores that have been closed. This store is managed very badly. So many empty slots and shelves. And many employees are very indignant. You ask them a question and they won't even answer you and if they do its some indignant swill mumbled out.Have been there many times over the past couple years in our business travels and the store gets worse each time since the current manager has been there. Last time we saw him crawling out of the sleeper cab part of one of the tractor trailers parked there. read more

Customer to staff attentions are low but every walmart is like this as the need to differentiate their profit especially in a poor town like Palatka which most Palatkians call their mall. This store has everything from grocieres, clothes, music, shoes, almost anything. The best part about our Super Wal-mart is they are open 24 hours a day. i like going late at night or early in the morning when the store isn't as busy. read more

Really bad. Most of the plants in the garden section have no prices. On one occasion I waited more than ten minutes for help out there, then literally asked for a price for about 20 or so plants. Today I asked two different employees in garden and they sent me inside to the one cashier who had a line of about 15 people, and I waited a few minutes and gave up. Everything in the store is scattered, nothing makes sense, you're super lucky if something has a price tag, or the correct price on it. I've had several issues being charged incorrect prices. Found a chair we wanted, ended up finding the actual tag two isles over, then to double check, the nearest price scanner was broken and I walked halfway across the store to women's clothing to scan the chair. I know for a fact that right now those little cube bins that go in the cube organizers are located in three different locations in the store. How can we shop in a store like this?! Oh! And there's a stand of file cabinets in the middle of a main isle advertising them at $44, and then less than 20 feet away you'll find them again for $33.89. And then of course, you take something like to the register and it'll ring up for the higher price and then you're holding up the line, like everyone ends up having to do, that's why it takes a minimum of 20 minutes to get through the line in the garden department on a Saturday. Only one cashier, everything rings up wrong, a few slow employees, and things aren't even priced! Come on Walmart! Get it together! read more

Very bad customer service and a manager that may have lied to us. We missed the item we were after for black Friday at our local stores. So we began shopping around on the phone for stores in outlying areas. We called the palatka store and were told "Yes, they have the 14 ft trampoline listed in the ad". So we said great, we are on our way. As we live an hour away, I called my sister who is 10 minutes from the store and had her go to the store to see if she could buy it or put it on hold till we could get there. She got there and found the trampoline and asked if she could put it on hold as she didnt have enough cash on her or, could she give them my Credit card number to pay for it. The employee "EJ" was very nice, said he didnt know if they could accept payment that way so he called the manager. First off, the manager said "this isnt the same box and if we want this one we have to pay $192" not $158 as the sale ad advertised. When we asked why, the manager said it was because it was a return. We got the manager to confirm it was the exact same trampoline, same brand, everything and yet he expected us to pay more for it. He said "do you want it for $192 or not?". We tried to argue that we have the sale ad in hand and if this is the exact trampoline that it shouldnt matter that it was a return and the box was a little different. The Walmart sale ad shows $158 and thats what we should pay. The manager then said ' Never mind, you cant buy this one anyway, because it is a site to store item." He then took the box and walked off and never returned. Now my sister wasted her time and gas, and we wasted even more driving from Jacksonville to Palatka, just to get screwed out of our purchase! And since we wasted all that time thinking we had one, we stopped checking and now there are none available within 75 miles of us! That made 2 Walmarts in one day that treated us like crap. This Palatka store cost us lots of time and gas as well as lots of aggrevation. Walmart customer service seems to need to go back to school to learn what customer service means! read more
