Early morning employees are a 50/50 split between nice and grouchy. No cashiers available at opening time -self checkout only. Plastic bags are usually available but don't count on it. This morning the meats and fresh produce shelves were not well stocked but there was plenty of milk and bread. Carts all over the lot on a windy morning. This place is poorly managed and is chancy at best. I would never shop here after 7am unless it was an urgent need. But they always have my specific brand of milk so I risk it when I need to. Went to Walmart to purchase a few items, unfortunately 3 of the items were in locked cases and no one was anywhere to unlock them. I had 21 items in my cart and found a register open without any line. It took 30 minutes for the sloth at the register to scan my items. She would be better suited to watch bread rise in the bakery,my wife asked if she was having a stroke. At the pace she was moving she could not ring out 2 customers per hour I don't recommend this store if you are buying any frozen items and if you are wearing short sleeves there will be snow on the lot if the elderly blonde hair woman is at the register called the store spoke to 3 different people and not one cared.great management read more

Don't go to the grocery pick up - absolutely terrible. I don't know if it's lack of help or they are just disorganized. When you arrive in a pickup parking spot, you can't get through on the phone - constantly goes to voicemail. Last time I placed 15 calls - Nobody answered. You have walk up to the door and ask somebody to check you in. Each time I come here I tell myself never again!!! Last three time - 30-45 minute to get my groceries. read more

So the initial walmart tire purchase is posted on my credit card even though Walmart cancelled the tire installation due to their inadequate auto lift system at this site. Nowhere in my Walmart web account does this refund show up for my peace of mind. I call customer support and get AI then go to live person that barely speaks english. Don't order any tech gear off their website. This is the second time that I've received a used product instead of new as advertised. In this latest order, it appears as if someone swapped a used hard drive for the new one in the box and then returned it to Walmart. And then Walmart ships it to me! My daughter brought her car to the Parkesburg location for a simple oil change. After picking it up, she got a mile down the road and the oil light came on. The car stopped running and she pulled to the side of the road. The car had rod knock due to no oil in the system and was destroyed. I've written to Doug McMillon, CEO 5 times and have just received calls from others saying the car was old and just happened to die. I'm frustrated and am now talking to an attorney. Disorganized; too many empty and disheveled shelves even after the weekend crowds have come and gone. How does Office section have so many disorganized and empty areas. Ugh! I know customers are messing them up but they're not maintained. Probably lack of staff? A plus is pet department, fabric and seasonal shelves are neat and organized. Customer service is unfriendly and bothered while processing returns for me and others in line. I shop at many Walmarts depending on if I'm in PA, NJ or DE. The Rise and Fall of Walmart Grocery Last night I had a Walmart Grocery Delivery order scheduled between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Not only did it never show up, but it is the latest in a long line of disappointing experiences I have had with their services (Pickup service included). Around 8:00 PM, I reached out to Walmart Customer Service - their response was they were forwarding this issue to their superiors, and I would receive a follow up ASAP. The follow up came in the form of a very disappointing email at 1:54 AM. They apologized for the inconvenience and suggested I reach out to the local store to resolve the issue. I had tried repeatedly to reach them, but no one ever answers the phone. Again, this morning I reached out to Walmart Customer Service, who also apologized for the incredible inconvenience and placed me on hold while they attempted to contact the store. AGAIN, no one answered. The customer service representative tried multiple times to call the store with no success until finally offering to cancel the order for a full refund, to which I agreed. Honestly, this is ridiculous. It's more than a minor inconvenience - I have four children and a full-time job. My time is valuable and precious. When Walmart came out with Grocery Pickup and Delivery, I thought it was fantastic! I couldn't have been more excited, and I even promoted the service to all of my busy mom friends. Initially, the service was terrific, I would place an order, and even if certain items were out of stock, they would substitute comparable items. Then everything started going downhill. Slowly but surely, orders started getting later and later, and then substitutions got worse until they stopped altogether. Do you know how many times I have ordered something like strawberries or bread or pasta sauce, only for it to be marked as unavailable with no substitution provided? Well, guess what, when those items were excluded from my order, I went inside and lo and behold there they were - shelves/cases stocked with ample amounts of the missing products. I would have understood if there had been one or two products on the shelf or in the case, but this wasn't so - there were plenty. Do you know what this says to me? The Walmart Team Members responsible don't care enough to fulfill whole orders. My last three orders have been canceled altogether for no reason other than supposed "operational issues" and "we're sorry for the inconvenience. Well, guess what Walmart - Grocery Pickup and Delivery was a great idea in theory, but it severely lacks in practice. This review is of the Tire/Oil/Auto department of the Parkesburg Walmart location. I've consistently had bad service and wait times at this location over the past five plus years and highly recommend going else where. If you like the Walmart pricing go to the Exton Location where the staff is efficient and will generally not make you wait very long. The team at the Parkesburg Walmart always seems unorganized at the service counter and wait estimates always are ridiculous. 3 hours for a tire routation? Over 2 hours for an oil change? This on slower weekdays when they didn't even seem to be that busy. No way to get an estimate on the phone before you go in because nobody answers. Most recent visit on 2/6/19 I walked out with a 3 hour wait quoted for a five minute job. The lack of customer service seems to be connected to the lack of proper training and scheduling of the team. I've never once seen a manager or supervisor around during my visits. I guess I'm getting what I pay for by going to Walmart for these services to begin with but still why offer them if you can't do it right? Zero stars! read more

I used to do almost all of my shopping at Walmart in Parkesburg PA,but recently that has changed. As Walmart has decided to change the layout of the store it has become a nightmare! Alot of people do not like change and now it has become really difficult to find anything in the store. The great idea of tearing out manned cash registers for self check outs is dismal at best. Who wants to have to check themselves out and bag everything and still pay top prices?...If we have to do it it should be discounted.Walmart, I think you made a huge "faux pas" in dreaming up your new and improved store layout. Went here today to buy something for my Friend in Massachusetts. I had to wait 45 Minutes after I asked the COURTESY desk to send someone to help me .2 return trips later, I Literally found and escorted them to what I was looking to buy. I took me a total of 1.5 HOURS to get a SINGLE item. I know which the Manager is but OBVIOUSLY NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO FIND HIM.I also know Brenda #1 and #2 Who are both Assistant Managers and BOTH very nice. In fact, Yesterday I was there to purchase a Camera. I was told by the guy in Electronics that he wasn't allowed to handle the cameras. Once again I went and found Brenda #1. This location sucks. The cashiers and floor staff are somewhat rude. If somerhing isn't out on the floor and you ask for it, they either flat out say "we don't have it" without checking or they'll go to check and take forever. Half the time, the cashiers seem new and have no idea with what's going on. The shelves look like a 3 year old went through them and ripped them up. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Half the time, stuff isn't tagged properly. The floors are filthy. read more

If i could give this Walmart 0 stars i would. DO NOT do grocery pick up here. Half of the items are always out of stock. I have been looking passed that for since we got to this area. I would just go in and get what i could find that was out of stock. I started noticing that items that were out of stock in my curbside order were actually in stock and being 'looked over'. The last time i got curbside pick up was the last time. I was inside the store before i picked up my order getting the items i was notified were "out of stock" i then got a notification my order had been complete. These people have my $200 worth of groceries were given to another customer. I was irritated but gave them a chance to make it right. I told them i would be back Monday, it was a Saturday. I went back on Monday and they threw together an order for me, at-least 20 items were missing or inadequately substituted. I will not be back. I would have saved time going in early and getting my groceries myself. Oh, and the store is dirty. So, there is that. read more

Not open 24/7 right now. Close at 8:30 pm. Doesn't help the people who work shifts. Carts are not sanitized, you have to do it yourself IF you can find one. Wipes and sprays are accessible. Plenty of cart staff standing around doing nothing. At 8:15 they announce store closing in 15 minutes, only two full checkout lines open, all the rest self serve. I love this Walmart personally. They always have what I need. They even have my favorite pan sobao sweet bread. Whenever I've asked for help, they have assisted and been kind. I love that they have fresh produce and a large grocery section. This is my nearest super center Walmart and I find It super helpful. I would definitely recommend this Walmart to anyone. While COVID has been happening, their staff have been diligent in wearing masks and wiping down the self check out areas. I appreciate It. My husband and I shop here all the time. read more

This walmart is TERRIBLE. They have about 10 lanes they COULD OPEN but only ever have 2 MAX open so the lines are out the door! I came here to buy a card and flowers but had to stand behind people who have full carts of groceries because they don't have there 20 items or less lanes open. Forget about self check out! My rating is actually a -5, but since that was not an option, I gave the lowest rating allowable. This is by far the worst store on the planet!!! No mask enforcement - Amish seem to think they are above the law and staff allow them in the store without masks. I am handicapped and use an electric cart which stopped working halfway through my shopping (even though it read as fully charged), so I asked an Associate to help me out by getting me a regular shopping cart if there were no more electric carts available. She came back with a push cart that was severely damaged and pulled to the right almost to the point of being inoperable; she had to have known this since she walked it all the way to the back of the store. So here I am already with mobility issues struggling with a cart that is difficult to maneuver. To make matters worse, her attitude was as though I had bothered her to do this for me. Customer service is obviously not taught or practiced in this store. In addition, the store is always dirty, the items available are hit or miss, they seldom have fully stocked shelves. I will drive 30 miles out of my way to go shopping anywhere but here even though it is literally 3 minutes from my house. I've read many of the other reviews here and they are all spot on. I ordered online and made the mistake of thinking that in store pick-up would be a great option. I went to the pickup kiosk the boxes arrived, and I went on my merry way. Then as I Was pulling out of the parking lot, I got an email saying that two items had been canceled because I did not pick them up! The order included my cell number, but they didn't call me the boxes had no labels to indicate the contents so I had no way of knowing if all the items were in the boxes! I contacted customer service and they ever so helpfully suggested I reorder the items, I will do that, but never again from Walmart. read more

The only reason i go to this place is because it's the closest to me. Aldie's is a much cleaner and nicer than this place. They never re-stock the asian section as often as other grocery markets do and all they will say is "come back later and hope it's there." most workers can't point you to where things are and when they do, it's not in stock. read more

A brick wall has more personality than any of the people that work here. I've never seen a bunch of more miserable workers. Every single time I come here it's almost always the same and don't even try to find someone to help you because that's not going to happen. The lines tend to be long and only a few registers open. It is nice they added self checkouts to cut down some of the lines. The Deli Department takes FOREVER. Only 2 people working usually and they are slower than molasses in January. One other person back there spends entire time packing fried chicken which is a waste of time. When this Wal-Mart was built the local grocerie stores in this area closed, so out of necessity we shop here and it is almost always unenjoyable. The employees walk around blaring music and swearing in the store. They always seem to be smoking right outside the front entrances and while gathering carts. They never have enough cashiers and the lines are always backed up. The cashiers also tend to be less than pleasant. This store is only a few minutes from my house and most of the time I prefer to drive a half hour away to shop at Wegmans or Target. read more
