Great staff - very attentive and pleasant. Surprising selection of brand name goods and local goods. Beautiful cuts of meat and game meats! Never expected to see kangaroo meat in a local little shop. Delicious looking baked goods as soon as you walk in. Prices are not outrageous and the cuts of meat are far better than chain grocery stores. They were smoking and grilling meats outside today (Friday) and it made my mouth water! Easy to get in and out at a traffic light and lots of parking. Definitely will be making a routine stop here. I may be a tad biased, as this is my go-to place for pretty much any meats, produce, or sweets... but it's just down the way from my home, everything I have ever bought has been fresh, and the service is always great. No matter who serves me, I always walk out satisfied. The fried chicken here is also AMAZING! The chocolate milk is like melted ice cream- I love it. The Whoopie Pies are my personal favorite thing to get from here- Pumpkin specifically. Store is always clean, and the meat is always fresh! We stopped in here on our farm tour of Coatesville and we found this to be a nice store. They had a counter for ordering sandwiches and such but we didn't order from it. We got some strawberries at a nice price, some salsa, and a lot of pickled eggs. (we can't get good pickled eggs in Philly so I always buy tons when I see them). They had some awesome looking baked goods and I would have bought a bunch but I had already bought too many at some previous farms stops I made. They had a huge meat counter too. Some varieties of meats that I don't see in the city. They also had a bunch of premade burgers and stuffed pork that looked delicious but we didn't buy any bc they seemed a bit expensive. Got around to trying their deli and it's pretty good. It's not the best cheesesteak I've ever had but it had plenty of flavor and being able to order it while you're shopping and pick it up before checking out is awesome! We've also tried a few items from their premade counter like the root beer beans and the broccoli salad which we've made return trips for, but the best thing I've tried is definitely the chicken croquettes. They remind me of the chicken dressing my Mom makes for Thanksgiving and they're delicious! All the meats we've picked up so far have also been really good, especially the sausage! read more

Came here for the first time to check it out. Bought some wasabi crunch peanuts and ginger sesame sticks. What's hot - Good variety. There's a decent variety of meats, including elk, venison, prime rib, chicken, etc... There's also seafood, such as shrimps, scallops, lobster tails, and fish. There's honey, a variety of snacks, spices, etc... This shop isn't huge, but there's a decent variety. Although there is a variety, be prepared they may not have what you're looking for, because it also depends on the season. - Prices. The peanuts and sesame sticks I bought were about $3 each. From what I could see of their prices, they're not unreasonable, especially given the lack of choice and other shops in the area. What's not - The smell. There's fried chicken that was cooking when we arrived and my husband said it smelled off. It didn't smell bad, but off. - Produce. There's a deli and baked goods, but there is not a produce section. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but this isn't a one stop shop. Final answer Am willing to come back. read more

Never disappoints. Good always fresh and a nice variety of meats. Chicken salad with the grapes and nuts is delicious and my favorite.

Be cautious with their deli salads like potato, macaroni and coleslaw they are loaded with sugar. Actually a lot of their in-house products have way too much sugar, I tried the deviled eggs and too sweet, tried some picked items and again there was the sugar. This place is sugar, sugar, sugar!!! If you are diabetic stay away from everything except the produce and butcher items. If you are not diabetic and you buy their prepared salads often, you WILL become diabetic!!! It's as if they want to kill everyone slowly with sugar! read more

Great place for all you meats and seafood! They literally have every meat you can think of. Great service and everyone is so nice. Started shopping here when the Walmart moved in. Friendly people, very good service also it is very nice to actually be able to talk to a butcher. On the downside, they have a limited selection and they are priced high. Also they won't carry soy milk when even the Amish market down the road has it stocked. read more

What a find!!! I'm proud that HFM is my 100th review. I agree with RB. about the butcher. They have great steaks and the Rib-eyes I bought were $5 cheaper per pound than the grocery store. The veggies are crazy fresh and don't forget to visit the dessert case in the corner before you check out. They have giant boxes of cream-filled long John's - basically a giant oblong donut with a heavenly cream-filled center covered in powdered sugar. You can get two packages of these each containing about 8 for $10 bucks. They also make these great dog treats - they look like doggie bagels - they are very popular with my fur-babies. When you check out they even give you $1 off coupon for your next visit, which will be soon for me b/c I've run out of long John's!!! On a separate note, HFM is right on RT. 10 - it is VERY difficult to turn left out of the parking lot due to the volume of traffic that goes by. read more

I've always abided by the rule that it's a bad idea to go shopping when you're hungry, because you never know what you'll end up buying that you wouldn't have bought ordinarily. I can't think of a place where that rule would be more true than Hershey's Farm Market -- and really, even if you DON'T shop hungry, you'll still want to buy one of everything they sell. There is seriously no shortage of great items in this place. The raw honey from Stockin's Apiaries is probably my favorite raw honey ever (particularly the Orange Blossom flavor; it's been a big hit with my entire family since the moment I brought it home). The butcher's counter features a wide array of excellent choices, and there's also a whole freezer dedicated to rarer options, such as kangaroo burgers, ostrich, and bison hot dogs. The premises also smell delicious, like a little slice of fresh-baked heaven. I haven't even gotten to buying the baked goods yet. By the time I make it to that part of the store, my basket's already full. Hershey's is a good 40 minutes from where I live, but it's totally worth the trip. I could spend all day just browsing at the choices... and all night feasting on the items that I chose. read more

Love this place, but beware! Its under new management. Couldn't believe that Pam and Clare finally sold it. They were the best! All the counter help was helpful and courteous. Went in there a couple of months ago and didn't recognize anyone. Was told they just bought it. Amish woman on the register is nice. They did order an item that was missing, so that is a plus. Hoping they keep up to the high standards that the Hersheys had. Broccoli salad is awesome, seems like they kept the same recipes. Some new bakery items too. read more
