Customers really need to pay attention to expiration dates when using Walmart curbside pickup. In my experience, employees appear to pull the items closest to expiration first. I placed a curbside order on May 16, 2026, and was given a product that expired in January 2026. That is completely unacceptable and presents a legitimate health concern. To Walmart's credit, the refund was issued immediately, but that does not change the fact that expired food should never make it into a customer order in the first place. There is also a chronic issue with missing items and damaged canned goods arriving with large dents in the sides. At this point, we avoid ordering produce entirely through curbside because quality control has been consistently unreliable. My hope is that Walmart sees feedback like this and takes it seriously, because customers should not have to inspect every item in an order just to ensure it is safe and undamaged. read more

This Walmart has the rudest pharmacy staff they never have your prescriptions ready the staff will give you incorrect information or mislead you unorganized you they always don't have the medicine that you need so you have to wait an extra day or so uncaring not friendly group of people I have ever encountered I would think twice about going to this Walmart for the pharmacy department and the other departments aren't so hot either they don't care if you live far away like I do they'll make you come back another day to pick up the medicine that should have been ready that day if there was any way to give negative Stars I would give it a negative five read more

This Walmart is one of the smaller sized ones one entrance. It's your basic Walmart people like to complain but everybody has good days and bad days. The store is very clean. Reviewing a Walmart.... Didn't think I ever would. Growing up in Chicago we really didn't have one of these in the city, only in the suburbs. I had heard stories about these stores and I always avoided them. Now I live in a smaller town and Walmart is the only store where I can get everything and it's 10 min away. This store is ok. I love that I can shop at home and pick it up at a time that works for me. I've never had an issue with my order and it's always been ready for me at the time I requested. I also ordered for home delivery once and I didn't have an issue with it. Walmart is nothing fancy and the service can be great and it can be bad. Doesn't stop me from shopping there. Prices are ok and it's convenient to do all my shopping in one place. I've also started using the auto department. I've been getting my oil changed here for a year now and I've had no issues. I go first thing in the morning and shop. I have not had to wait more than 45 min for my car to be done. While I prefer Target, this store is closer to me and the prices are a bit lower. I've been coming to this WalMart for years, but never again. After walking in this morning, many shoppers were not wearing masks. There was no enforcement of Illinois' mask mandate, nor was there any adherence to their own company policy, which requires masks. There was no one at the door checking and no one in the store asking customers to wear a mask. When I asked to speak to a manager (Coach Louis), I was told that they would not be "mask police," and that the mandate is the state's business, not theirs. I was told that the sign out front requiring masks is only something they put up because they are required to do so, in other words to keep up the appearance of adhering to the state's mandate. If you're looking for a safe shopping experience in a clean Covid-free environment, this probably isn't the place for you, as this particular WalMart clearly cares more about making a political statement than it does about keeping its shoppers and staff safe. read more

If you've been to one WalMart, you've been to them all. This WalMart is no different from the one I frequent in my hometown. It has a large parking lot and the inside is even larger. There is a Subway inside, next to the produce/grocery section and the smell wafts throughout the store. Since I am from out of state, I liked browsing to see if they had any different product here than what I would normally find back home. Nothing too different, I am sad to say. The store did seem crowded and some of the items I was looking for were difficult to find. (HDMI cables were not under the sign that said HDMI cables.) Overall, it's the only WalMart in Plano and it's the closest large retailer, so you've got no other choice but to frequent this place. read more

This was the Wal-Mart that was supposed to save our lives. When I was growing up in the nearby farm town, everyone excitedly welcomed the first incarnation of this Wal-Mart to Plano. It would provide jobs, cheap shampoo, and a little sophistication to our otherwise dull and boring lives. It flourished, so they opened yet a larger "Super" Wal-Mart across the street. Now there is a 5 million square foot, never have to leave, cancer sitting atop some of the finest farm land in the world. But the sacrifice is worth it.... now you can buy everything you need, and didn't need, all in one place. Now, the owners of all the neighboring grocery stores, pharmacies, craft stores, and auto parts stores have much more free time (since Wally World is doing their work for them). So thanks Sam, for coming to my town and sucking out its soul. read more

I ordered 120 frames as part of a center piece project for my wedding. Initially 90 of the 120 frames came in correctly so we sent back the other 30 to exchange. When 2 weeks went by and we haven't heard anything we stopped into the store only to find out that no one sent the order because they were unsure what color to order and "someone was suppose to call" us to confirm the color however that call never came. Worst of all when I find this out they informed me that I wouldn't be at Able to get them in time. So I cannot make my wedding center pieces due to poor customer service and inability for people to perform their job duties. I am saddened and disappointed. read more

The tire and lube center is the absolute WORST!! We brought a car in to have a tire replaced and we were very clear as yo which tire needed to be replaced and you could even see the metal belt protruding from the tire. They replaced the wrong one, then argued with us when we said just give is our old tire back...they wouldn't. Finally, they agreed to put the donut on and gave us the old tire that we will put on the rim ourselves. Never again. read more

Went to get a pain script filled after having oral surgery. They said it would be an hour wait for the meds. Since I live 45 minutes away in the middle of nowhere waited for the meds they weren't ready in an hour and 15 so decided to check on the status they were very rude and said can't you just wait till tommorow. If I could give it no stars, I would. The manager at the self check out is beyond rude. She wears a yellow jacket and has blonde hair. I won't give a name, but what a rude women. As a manager she should be embarrassed. Embarrassed for the way she acts, and the way she portrays herself as well as the company. Furthermore, they do not disinfect the carts. My mom and I told this women they were not cleaned, as no one was cleaning them. She proceeded to say they were cleaned before coming into the store. Then, we started cleaning the carts ourselves. She then took the bottle and started to talk to another employee loudly, and started making a huge fuss about us using the bottle. After we were done shopping, we went outside and asked the employees if they cleaned the carts. They said no, it's done inside. So, they are not cleaned, we were lied to, and humiliated. The register employees, however, are kind heart people. I love them! It really comes down to the horrible managers at this place, more important the lady. Clean up your act. read more

** AVOID THE TIRE AND LUBE ** Tire and lube center is horrible! No one manages employees. I took my car there for a basic oil change because I needed to do some shopping as well. There were three techs and two cars. I was told an hour wait which is very long with so little work. I am also car guy and work in the industry. We were shopping for 78 minutes they said and my car never moved from where I parked it. No one even looked at it. I took my car and left without work being done and got dirty looks from the slow techs like I was a jerk. Never taking my car back there. read more

The previous comment was a bit over the top. The Walmart I go to in Plano is staffed by members of our community and they do a great job staffing and maintaining a large wonderful Walmart. I shop there almost exclusively due to their low prices but still try to support some of our local businesses also. The strong businesses in this community continue on with Walmart as a neighbor. Some companies did close after Walmart but they were generally companies that were struggling anyway. Walmart has given this community a great place to shop and work. I for one am thankful to have Walmart in our community. read more

I will grant this store 1 star because: 1. the employees (below management level) are generally pleasant and helpful. 2. it is open 24 hours. The comments above are really the only positive things I can say. Things that need to be fixed/changed: 1. Bathrooms - are disgusting to the point that I will not use them, except in a dire emergency. 2. Pharmacy - the wait time for prescriptions is ALWAYS lengthy. (I'm being polite.) 3. Products are frequently out of stock. 4. Many people have complained when items are discontinued. Nothing changes. 5. The odor of rotten chicken pervades the fresh poultry area. 7. Evidently Wal-Mart does not understand they have the business that they have because of free enterprise. Free enterprise would not exist and this great country may not be free if it were not for the American Soldier. This weekend is Poppy Weekend in Plano, IL., with signed contract in hand volunteers stationed themselves at the Wal-Mart doors, and were asked to leave within 1/2 hour after they arrived. Poppy's are distributed, and donations are accepted from the public, these donation help assist Disabled Veterans. I will no longer have respect for Wal-Mart as an American business.
