It's Walmart! Im actually impressed with how many varieties of new stuff this one has. Decent prices on everything. Most Wally's in brandon are hella messy. For a 6AM visit it wasn't so crazy. I felt i was still at work though lol there were so many young employees restocking products into shelves. I helped a couple times looking for stuff. I started to doze off sense I literally just got off work. They must be making good money. Everybody was buying a lot to. I went in for sugar walked out with $70 of crap lol. There are always people in the parking lot trying to sell you something or ask for money. I don't feel very safe here. When I visited to get some essentials many of the shelves were bare and they don't have a lot of inventory. The lines for checkout are always long. The one reason I do come here are the prices are lower than most stores around with the same product. read more

Walmart is always busy. I was trying to order a laptop for my class I was starting. They couldn't deliver it, first it was delayed then two days later it was out of stock. So I drove to two different stores looking for a laptop. I found one that I like but once again sold out. So this current one I'm using and got it Instead. Staff was helpful in getting me my item. Very poor performance with their food delivery service. Constantly out of the same items. Delivered the complete wrong order and would not answer the phone when I called. Tried to call the store manage/supervisor same issue would not answer the phone. If I ran my business this way I would be out of business. I called corporate and they refunded my money and assued me they would correct the problems. I'm not holding my breath read more

The 2 star review is NOT for customer service, it's actually for all of the times that I've visited this Walmart in specific, and it seems like they have everything except for the stuff I come in for! Just kidding, they're usually out of a LOT of stuff... sometimes there's whole sections of shelving empty... I guess a LOT of people shop at this Walmart, and they can't get out stock fast enough to keep up with demand. I use online pickup a lot at this Walmart, and have never had any issues! Usually, if they're out of what I need, they substitute the item with something equally as good or a lot of times even better. read more

As a discount retailer, Walmart provides somewhat limited help in person in the store. I could easily be tempted to give one star because of this. But I think that's unfair if you are shopping mostly for price. This Plant City Walmart is my favorite shopping spot since I moved to Florida in early 2021. Almost everything I buy, I buy online and either pick up in the store or have it shipped. Walmart gives me an additional option when comparison shopping online, and often they have the best product or the best price. I also buy almost all groceries online and then pick them up at this Walmart store. It's hard to believe just how convenient this is. Usually it takes no more than 15 min in the pick-up spot. That easily saves me 1-2 hours of in-person shopping. After the pick-up, I can still walk into the store and quickly buy one or two additional items, if I need to. Groceries ordered online are sometimes out of stock when the pick-up time comes. This was a major and very annoying issue in the past. But now, when I order, I can also specify possible substitutes. It's very rare that both the ordered item and the substitute are out of stock. So that's a problem they have solved very effectively. All in all, despite the non-stellar in-person assistance, Walmart has so many other positive qualities and I still rate it five stars. read more

My five star review of this local walmart is because of the new order online and then its delivered to your car. I am a Mother of multiple children with full time employment and this is a great time saver for me and my family. I was hesitant in the beginning especially when it comes to produce and fruit but have never been given anything that i would not have picked out myself and The staff is so friendly and fast!!!! This location is super pleasant to get to because of limited traffic on the roads to get to it but omg the store is a mess. The floors are dirty and when you do online to store pick up its a nightmare. I checked in when I walked in and made a fast purchase. Then proceeded to the tower to retrieve my packages and it never checked me in. So I had to check in again and apparently my packages were not in the tower so then I had to wait over 15 min for someone to decide to come and help me and get my items. Ive done this at alot of walmarts and this is by far the worst one as far as waiting and being ignored my the csms standing arpinf chatting with eachother. Wal-Mart in Plant City where I have shopped for 30+ years. Has been a # 1 top sales nationwide. It's economy is amazingly strong and they can't offer their clients a clean bathroom at all times. One bathroom is broken the Other is so dirty. It's upsetting to allow a child to use it because they can't Wait or hold it until they go home. If you know the status of your store! This place is beyond disgusting and should really shut down or completely fire and restaff/revamp the whole place. I have heard employees yelling and cussing at one another and even told them how unprofessional it is but they still don't fix the issue. Bathrooms are constantly dirty and smelly. The cashiers are BEYOND SLOW not to mention they never have registers open. I went in yesterday and bought mandarin oranges to come home and find out they are expired back in June 2015. Disgusting! The lady behind me also had problems with old food. She bought food and found it was rotten. I always find rotten produce or expired produce. Half the time they have things not in stock. This is my neighborhood Walmart and live about 3 minutes away but I avoid it at all costs. I love Walmart just not this one. Sundays are probably their busiest day yet they are always understaffed. I've complained to management several times yet their response has been "believe it or not it's not our busiest day". Hate to tell them but after shopping at this location for over 10 years during all hours and on different days - I've noticed a trend! One really good indicator Sundays are busy.... no shopping carts available for customers to use when they come in! Although the majority of the employees are friendly the managers always seem like they are in a bad mood. Can't wait to learn the yelp rules because I totally want to call them on the carpet and post their names. Accountability does the body good. read more

Do not patronize the Plant City Walmart!! Why? The parking lot is horrible. Parking was always filled up and now it's worse they have fenced off a very large section of the parking lot to build a medical center! Where will there be room for parking? They also cut the pharmacy medicine pick up from 4 to 2! The fenced off section of parking is empty. It has been this way for more than 3 weeks. Is that necessary? They will need to build a parking garage to alleviate the parking problem. We desperately need a Target store to give them competition! read more

I'm not really the biggest fan of Walmart in general, but it's close by, they have things I need, and unfortunately there is no target in plant city. That being said I will review this Walmart in particular. This store is always busy, especially on the weekends, and the lines are always long. A lot of the products I look for aren't available at this location so I'm usually just looking for typical common goods and staple items that I don't want to venture far to purchase. The workers on the floor don't seem to have much concern for you, I was pushing my baby stroller and a man pushing a pallet of items just pushed on by me almost knocking into us at our last trip. All the other lines (for the couple of registers actually open) were a mile long. o.k. Let's start in the parking lot where you are approached at your car door by the half a dozen homeless that call Walmart there home. I don't mind taking them something but don't creep behind me when i am loading my groceries or something real bad could go down. Grocery carts litter all the good parking spots close to the store oh joy. I went into the store today and one side did not even have carts inside!! How does that happen?? No lysol wipes in the container which i like to wipe the covid slobber of my cart handle. Booo. It's scary to touch anything in the store as it really is filthy most of the times and i am really afraid of the monkey pox thing. Today was extremely packed with people and do you think they would open any of the dozen registers that have an inch of dust on them by now?? NOOOO. Go to self check out where one Walmart employee spins her head off her shoulders to keep up with the broken machines. It's a zoo at that self check out. The store closes late at night and one would think that cleaning and stocking would be done then instead of mowing customers over with a thousand pound palate on wheels that is sure to do real damage when your hit. Do i here Morgan & Morgan. One persone slices meat and cheese in the deli, ONE! It's insane here. Go check out the fruit which sometimes some fruit is o.k. but for the most part i am running from fruit flies and i don't complain there because they will spray raid on the fruit for sure. I am really concerned that their idea of a clean make over was to remove all the tile and not put it back but lets just keep that concrete construction zone look! What. How about we move everything in the store to as many different locations then it was before and we will fool the customers into thinking it's a beautiful new place?? Today one of two items i had was rung up twice, my fault. Had to go to customer service to get it rectified. Lady say's i will refund one of the times that you hit the little sku and it would be fixed. Ordered on line, went to the Plant City store kiosk for pick up. Put in my scan bar and nothing happened except the big board said I had signed in. Waited, waited, waited.... about 15 min later someone said they would be there to help shortly. Apparently my package (not that big) was 'in the back.' So they have to go waaaaayyyy over to another end of the store to get it. That took longer than it used to by me going to the back of the store and getting it there with a person. Finally someone came with it.I was there to get it for 25 minutes. I should have just paid the $4.00 shipping instead. The "pick up" kiosk doesn't help at all. Avoid at all costs. This place is horrible, the worst Walmart I have ever been to, its close to me but I will pay more, or drive further to avoid it. Lines are horrendous all the time (30+ minutes quite regularly, 15-20 for express) many times self checkout is closed with 1 register open. Staff is very unfriendly and sometimes downright rude. Out of near everything, bare shelves, no help finding anything, and many times very dirty and not maintained. Its impossible to get help as employees avoid you like the plague. If by some chance you do catch one before they hurry away they are thoroughly unhelpful, and many times leave and don't come back despite "Going to check" on an item "I know we don't have" or "Would be stocked if we had it." read more

Went through self checkout today, I figured it'd be quicker than being checked out by a regular cashier. (They move slower than ever) Before i start, I completely understand the little girl was just doing her job, but at the same time, I am completely offended. I know they have an issue with people stealing, especially through self checkout, but you can't treat everybody like they're a theif.. I went to the self checkout right by the associate ( on purpose, bc I have no reason to steal) as soon as I walked up she stepped right next to me watching my every move.. really? I'm probably one of the few people that don't try to be slick.. she made it quite clear she was watching me.. I felt completely offended! I could write a book as most of us here could. We are stuck with a walmart that is always dirty and busy. too busy that they cant schedule more than just a couple cashiers, 1 service desk clerk and good luck finding help with anything. I had one man tell me, I cant tell you anything about the product, just where it is. lol. I was just lucky to get him to show me where it was! There are a couple employees who stand out, Judy in service area, Debbie in stock, and Jerry in Electronics. all have been there several years and are great! always friendly and helpful. Some advice to PLANT CITY WALMART MANAGERS. Remodeling the store is awesome but if you dont actually get some help to go with that, it wont matter. You are getting some competition from the new stores across the street for a reason. we are sick of the filth and lack of cashiers. Put cashiers at those registers! 22 registers and except for Christmas time, I have never seen more than 5 open at one time! You are the last stop shop for me now, I only shop there if I cant find it somewhere else first. read more

I went into this location about a week ago, and I was very impressed. The produce was so fresh, I could not help but want to stock up. I thought the store was very organized and the staff was very helpful. The woman who checked my family out was so friendly and really made the experience a memorable one. Stopped in while on vacation last year, I was beat from driving, the automotive department employee took me right to the product I wanted and outdoor department was really helpful and actually discounted a less than perfect plant for me that I brought back to life. Everybody was fine. You know people love to bash Walmart because its a "cool-anti-establishment" thing to do, but the facts are that (1) the vegitables you buy are not made out of plastic and a little spot wont kill you, so don't be so organi-phobic that you have to complain about anything that is not perfectly spherical or looks like came out of a gumball machine. Also, the theory that a product in its wrong place is "not the fault of the customer," is just not true. Customers steal constantly, switch tags, change their kids bad shoes to good ones and pulls the tags off, don't pay for everything or select lower priced stuff in self checkout and getover in dozens of ways, and customers constantly throw products they dont want everywhere in the store and the next customer comes behind 5 minutes later and claims it was mis-binned. Sorry folks the customer is NOT always right, sometimes the customer is a spoiled brat or outright conman/conwoman. You know who you are scammers. Oh and PS customer thieving DOES hurts the bottom line and it does come out of Walmart employees pockets in terms of bonuses and even available hours that your teen age son or daughter working part time after school can work.
