This is why I avoid this Walmart. So, I wanted to get my money back for a rotten honeydew melon using the freshness guarantee policy. The policy specifically states " customers only need bring back the receipt for a refund- no need to return the product". Mind you the melon was only $3.48. So it not like I was trying to get thousands of dollars and this is my first time returning produce. The cashier that was assisting me at customer service wanted to make sure that I didn't need to bring the product back. The team lead DAVONTE comes over and says he needs to check with the manager. Davonte comes back and says I need to bring the product in, I say but your freshness guarantee says I don't. And I threw the melon away. So I tell him to get the manager and she can explain to me why they aren't honoring their freshness guarantee. The " manager" KENYA comes over and says I can't return something I brought 2 weeks ago. I correct her and say it wasn't 2 weeks ago it was a week ago. And then she says well I have to bring it back in the time frame. What time frame? She says same day. So I'm suppose to rush back up to Walmart same day for them to honor the freshness guarantee? As I'm trying to show her the policy on my phone, and pointing out to her that there is no time frame. She throws her hands up and says " I'm not doing this with her" and walks away. I say so your not going to honor your policy? And she continues walking away. I asked to speak with another manager, who honored the policy. But after explaining to him how I was spoken to by KENYA I definitely expected an apology. I didn't get one. I told the manager I was making a complaint and he says " it was that bad". I reply... yes. It absolutely was that bad and embarrassing. I always get horrible customer service at this location so I don't know why I'm shocked. But I will be filing a complaint with corporate and the store manager. I wanted to take the time to leave a review for Ariyonna in electronics as well as Damon who was working the main floor. They were both very exceptional in their customer service and helpful. Ariyonna was working the electronics mainly by herself and familiar with the merchandise location and able to help multiple customers quickly with a positive attitude. Donald also works in the electronic department but I didn't engage with him much because he was helping someone who needed a lot of attention . I asked Ariyonna for his name because I wanted to recognize him for having so much care for this particular patron who was quite demanding, good job Donald! Ariyonna definitely has managerial qualities and maneuvers in a way where no one can question her skill. I really hope these team members are recognized for what they bring and I would love to see Ariyonna as a manager soon, she definitely knows her department and customer service very well! I ordered a gift to be picked up at store. When I arrived I walked in with two employees. The employees had a brief conversation with each other than completely disappeared. I stood alone roughly 5 mins before I saw the credit card payment machine flash touch here for service. I touched the screen, received a confirmation that help was on the way and waited some more. Eventually a door opened next to the pick up area and I stuck my neck around corner to see if someone inside would help me. Nope, just a police officer who attempted to flirt. Apparently, the holding cell for shoplifters is located right by pickup. I saw a young man being detained. Police officer eventually told me he would find someone to help me. So police officers work at Walmart now? Like a 9-5? Maybe 15 mins from the time I arrived a cashier appeared. The cashier was pleasant and provided me with a positive experience that made me forget how long I had to wait to actually speak with an employee. read more

We went to this store yesterday and it was a really positive experience. There are no Walmarts in NYC, and the last time we visited one was 10 1/2 years ago (I realize it's rather ridiculous that I happen to remember). Anyway; the selection was terrific and we were disappointed that we didn't have much time. Not only did I see a really nice shirt for almost no money (seriously, it was practically free) and it was the last one in my size - but I ran over to the food section (which is huge) in search of a specific type of cookie that I'd bought recently in NYC and immediately became addicted to (Pepperidge Farm's Pumpkin Cheesecake cookies), and which I hadn't been able to find anywhere since then. They had *four* bags of them at this store and I bought all four. I attempted to contact the store prior to making a trip to see if they had the item I needed. The telephone literally rang until it automatically disconnected, I tried again. I am 79 and severely disabled!! Ever since this store opened there is never an electric scooter to use because I constantly see people riding on one that are NOT disabled at all. They prove it by getting off the scooter, walk around the store while looking for something they want then returning to the scooter to go somewhere else in the store. Also, CHILDREN are using the scooters that are not disabled as well. Proven when they get off the scooter then race after each other and give other children a ride with them. Another problem are the people that are NOT disabled, parking in a Disabled parking Space It is being done constantly and all day long. It forces people like me to shop elsewhere! This is a problem everywhere. Not just at Wal-Mart! I complain to the store's managers but it goes in one ear and out the other. No one cares!!! read more

The only reason I come to this location is because it is the closest super Walmart near me. There's no self check out, and the lines are always so long. That's really frustrating. Smh why on earth do I go to Walmart? I entered the store through the garden center. The young lady at the register was preoccupied with her cell phone. She didn't even look up. I asked if I could use the cart I saw and while looking at her phone she waved her hand. Grabbed my quick items and decided since the young lady I encountered when i entered the store clearly had nothing to do, I would check out in the garden center. As I enter the garden center, the young lady proudly announces I am going to be shutting this register down soon. I'm thinking, umm ok. I didn't care what she had planned. I shop this location frequently, I went to use a e-gift card via my phone and was told it wasn't accepted. Waited to speak to the store manager Vivian who never showed. I was given no explanation as to why I couldn't use the e-gift card. Although the day prior I was able to use the e-gift card. Very unprofessional, they leave you standing and around waiting for long periods of time to speak to someone. I wanted to speak with Vivian so since she didn't show up I'm emailing corporate to demand an reason why the e-gift card is not accepted. I do not recommend this location at all. I finally spoke with Co manager Stephanie and a customer service manager Autumn. They rectified my situation, I was satisfied with the outcome. I will still chose a different location to shop in. The store manager Adler got demoted for having relations with an assistant manager so he hates that store even more than he did before his pay cut.he could care less about your customer complaints. Only gave it one star because it wouldn't allow me to give a 0. That there should tell you enough but let me go on. On one occasion I went there it was only 4 checkouts open and they were all 20 items or less. Puzzled yes; because why only have these lines open when people like myself have more than 20. So the gentlemen in front of me we just got in line trying to figure this out. When he started loading his items the cashier rudely says this is a 20 items or less line. We both told her there is not any other line open. The rest are 20 items or less. In the end she had no choice but to take us. This store is the worst Walmart I have ever been too and the last. The checkouts are ridiculous. They never have enough cashiers and there is always a damn line that reaches past the clothing section. I live down the street from this Walmart and I rather travel a few miles away to go to another Walmart than to deal with the foolery of this one. Don't waste your time here. Management sucks as well. Walmart is Walmart. This location is ALWAYS super crowded, messy, out of stock but with all that said it is still 10,000 times better than the one in Owings Mills. I had the misfortune of patronizing this store 2 weeks ago. I purchased 2 bicycles for my grandson and great neice for their kindergarten graduation gifts. I live across town from this store but uts close to their homes and the person who was putting them together for me. Walmart actually locks their doors at 9:00pm on the register side due to "security reasons", however its a 24 hour store and despite the notice on the doors stating they must remain unlocked while the store is occupied! Not only is this a safety issue but the clerks claimed it was their policy. When I asked the State Police guard who was standing at the doors that were not locked why he allowed this, he said if I didn't like it, don't shop there anymore! The grand opening was pretty great but now it's like they don't even care anymore. The shelves are almost always empty, customer service is terrible (i once had them tell me to come back tomorrow because my online package came & I took too long to pick it up so they put it back and the person who would have to run and get it left for the day.) Parking is always wild, the carts are all over the place, there will be 20 checkout counters & only 4 will be open, it's just terrible. Sometimes I shop around 11pm and its even worse! The express aisle is a myth, officers are there (which is good) but you'll spend 30 minutes trying to find one item because the staff is so lazy. I went to the beverage aisle and saw four workers back there having a pow wow instead of being at their stations. And none of them could tell me where the fans were. They just said 'oh, that's not my station. Let me find someone to help you. But it's Wal-Mart. So the prices are unbeatable. And the quality is pretty good. Just use this one as a last resort for 1-3 items when all the other ones are closed & you'll be fine. read more

When it first opened this was one of the best in the area. But now, what can I say? Some shelves will be completely empty in the grocery part. The store is ALWAYS packed! The deli is extremely slow. There's no consistency with the deli selections. One week they may have a certain meat/cheese but then you may not see it there again for months. Checking out is the worst part every time. Expect to spend anywhere from 20-45 minutes checking out. There are always only a few registers open. The checkout lines will be wrapped and twisted. Sometimes the lines will even extend into the clothing sections. Last time I went in there only 4 registers were open and they have over 20registers. Lots of parking so that's a plus. If you're hungry, they do have a hot bar and a Subway inside. read more

I left the store today without a 12 dollar bag of coffee my clerk did not put in my bag,. I returned immediately and the clerk said " are you sure it was me?" and offered me no help. She had just waited on me and gave me 100$ cash back. I went and grabbed another bag of coffee and left. I got no help calling customer service and the store manager is not in. I went to the sporting goods section to make a copy of a normal house key. A process that usually takes me 60 seconds or less at other Walmarts that have the new computerised key machines. I have several rental properties and I always come to Wal-Mart for business supplies, repair materials, locks and to make additional keys. Today June 24, 2017 was no different, I go to the sporting goods section to make a key and noticed that it was staffed by "ASSISTANT MANAGER WILLIAM" - this was around 12 to 1 o Clock, I do not remember the exact time. He appeared as if he was not enjoying his work as he was helping a customer ahead of me with a hunting/fishing/gaming licence. As I approached, he failed to acknowledge me or greet me, at other Wal-Marts there is at least a "hello, I will be with you shortly" or something similar. There was no other staff around so I patiently right in front of him, near the counter wait for him to finish. By default, I should be the next person in line. He finishes 10 minutes later and before I can say anything starts helping a customer who came after me with another fishing or gaming licence. I do not say anything, but after about 5 minutes of waiting, I say "excuse me sir, isn't there anyone else who can help me make a key". William replies "no". The other customer says to me that "sorry I didn't know you just wanted a key". To which I reply, " yea making a key only takes about a couple seconds once you put It the machine, it takes over". At this point, William starts yelling, "SO YOU WANT ME TO STOP HELPING THIS GUY AND START HELPING YOU?!" At this point I realize it's faster and easier for me to drive to Home depot down the street. As I start walking away, Assistant Manager William starts yelling thing behind me in an inciting/instigative manner. By far this has to be the worst customer service experience I have had in a long time - especially by someone at the managerial level. Assistant Manager William's customer service is unprofessional and is unbecoming of a manager. I would like to request he receiving additional training and or coaching on customer service, as well as prioritizing. Gaming licences take 15 to 20 minutes to process (at least by assistant manager William), whereas making a key would have taken no more than 1 minute. At least now I know why this Wal-Mart is always in disarray, as management is really lacking skill. In addition to this bad managers and leadership trickles down to bad customer service from employees. Very dissatisfied with level of customer service. read more

I recall when this Wal-Mart opened several years ago. I was so excited to have a supercenter nearby in which all my family's needs could be purchased. The Wal-Mart also promised to provide a boost to the local economy and jobs. The Grand opening was spectacular. However, since the Grand opening, the business has significantly declined. Customer service is horrible. For instance, in late July 2017, I went to the Wal-Mart to purchase electronics. There was no salesperson in the Electronics Department. However, I noticed a female salesperson having a personal conversation with a gentleman. I asked to be excused, and then politely interrupted their conversation to inform the salesperson that I was in need of help in the Electronics Department. The salesperson sharply answered, someone should be in Electronics and then resumed her conversation. I again politely interrupted her conversation once again and asked can you please call someone to Electronics because there is no one there. The gentleman that was talking to the salesperson got up and said, I'll see you later. The salesperson gave me a dirty look, then walked to the counter, and called someone to Electronics. As a customer and regular Wal-Mart shopper, I shouldn't have to beg an employee to provide me services so that I can make a purchase. To make my shopping experience worse, the salesperson who appeared after being called to Electronics lacked knowledge of the products and couldn't answer a single question. I left the store without making a purchase. The Randallstown Wal-Mart is such a huge disappointment. read more

Super Value Inn Portsmouth/Olde Town Area Hotel, Portsmouth, Va. save your money, sleep in your car! just dont do it in this neighborhood..very shady. hotels hall carpeting should have been replaced a decade ago. carpet in rooms were worse, and moist. bedspread tattered. the entire place felt like a wet wash rag is in order. i paid for two nights. after sleeping in my clothes on top of the bed, i checked out at 5am. i asked for a refund, THEY SAID THEY DO NOT offer refunds. con artists....p.s. why would a non-smoking hotel room include an ashtray? read more

This particular location has got to be the worst ever in every possible category. I had thought by having a supercenter here in this area of Randallstown, it would be a great boost to commerce. How could it have gone so wrong? Let's start with the outside and go in. The parking lot is always full and trying to park anywhere near to close to the building is nearly impossible. The employees who are outside the building are mostly lollygagging or cursing loudly with seemingly no concern for customers. Coming inside the building--most of the time very crowded, but sometimes greeted, sometimes not. I don't know what kind of stocking routines are in place, but everytime I come, especially on the busiest days of the weekend (Fri., Sat. and Sun), a group or individual emp. will be stocking items and very much getting in the way of customers. The last time I and my husband were there every place in the store we went there was trash and merchandise all over the floor and no employee had attempted to clean up or straighten out any of it. One time in particular I had not taken a cart and ended up getting more than expected and carried many items in my arms. I dropped some and a staff person was in front of me yapping to a coworker. Neither of these empl. offered to help me retrieve my items off the floor. I was not impressed, more like pissed. The most pervasive problem this location has is the employees seemingly lack of pride in their work and I don't know how management has not picked up on this because it's very obvious. More times than not I've gone through to pay for my items and the cashier either ignores me or is carrying on a conversation with another employee about their love life or some other private matter. I guess I'm really comparing this Walmart to the ones I had been going to in Pa, namely Hanover and York. They had their problems too, especially the ones in York with mass overcrowding. The employees were, however, nothing like the ones here with the entitlement issues and complete lack of respect and non-willingness to service the customer. The only reason I go to this Walmart is: it is close by, the prices are usually less than comparable grocers and the products are decent. I give this location a very low rating mainly due to the human factor: Management needs to be kicking out quite a few of their employees because it makes the whole outfit look very bad indeed. With all the bad press Walmart has had over many issues they don't need more. Apparently at this location it is ok to exhibit certain behaviors that would be absolutely not tolerated anywhere else. Alot of out of stocks, and the store is a little disheveled but the Assistant Manager Deandre is the real deal and will stop anything he is doing to give you his full attention when you need help. Walmart should take pride in employees like this, they don't come often in retail. read more

The WORST!!!! They don't fulfill pickup orders in the stated time (even when the items ordered are in the store). They rarely answer the telephone. And, when you do speak with a customer service associate they have bad attitudes and are not helpful.
