There was a second hand store for arts and crafts projects which was cool but there doesn't seem to be much else going on at the mall. I keep getting spam emails from Ulta Beauty even though I don't care for their products, the only thing I bought was a tiny tube of skin cream (which was $13 by the way). The arcade does not work at all, you can't get tokens or play most of the machines, and some of the claw machines they have in there are notoriously rigged. I was looking forward to getting an acupuncture treatment but I go in and see there's no needles, only hands being used, so I skipped out on that one. Some of the men's urban fashion stores looked interesting but I wandered in a store and saw the price tags on the jeans and recoiled, it's supposed to look like hoodrat clothing why does it cost $200+????? However, there was no one manning the front desk or looking over the store, so I was able to leave inconspicuously. I wish I could have gone to Von Maur, because I like some old lady clothes, but it was closed for Christmas Eve, which is understandable.

Staples like MCL, Stein Mart, Teresa's School of Dance, Weight Watchers, and Royal Mandarin, which have been around for a while, are responsible for getting folks in the door, but new stores like the Meadow's Cafe, Antiques at Meadows, Ace Blind & Drapery, The Classic Man, Darrell's Diamonds, Repeat Boutique, and the Farmer's Market are welcomed additions that keep folks entertained and coming back to the mall. 2018 saw a lot of changes for the Meadow's Mall - new ownership and new tenants - and I'm very excited to see what else is next for this Terre Haute gem!

Harvest has terrible produce most of the time & I'v received rotten fruit and veges too many times from harvest. But Meijer's produce has pleasantly surprised me,& even when I order via InstaCart I never have a problem either. I love the variety of produce products as well. I have been getting gorgeous oranges and peaches, nectarines & baking potatoes for example, which I could never find at other stores in and around Champaign. When Im doing In-person shopping at Meijer's, I never wait long on check-out lines & because they have a nice variety in all categories of foods I find many things I just cant get at Harvest or other places in Champaign county. Also, I love that Meijer's carts are for the most part pretty clean-not so at Harvest. The only thing is I wish they had a meat counter & dont generally by fish or meats from there. The cashiers are very nice & pack the way I ask them to & my deliveries are are fine too, never a problem and very prompt. This year I have made Meijer's my main go-to store & highly recommend it. (I never give anyone 5 stars,so 4 stars for me means very satisfied)

In present day the food court is bare with 3 restaurants and that one pretzel stand (It's still tasty all these years later though). Stores have dissipated with time the good ones being H&M, Macy's, JC Penny, and Victoria's Secret. I look forward to the day where we get more stores, and that those store revive the mall with good owners and make Eastland Mall what it once was, a good mall.
