Lets be honest here. Most people come to Walmart for one reason and one reason only. The prices $$. They can't be beat. The store in in itself is very poor. But you can't blame the staff for the lack of enthusiasm or clenliness. I mean c'mon everyone knows how F'd up Walmart is to their payroll staff. So you can't argue when customer service lacks. Anyway... Main reason I come here is to do my grocery shopping and even thou their produce isnt the greatest it most definitely is the most inexpensive. I spend about $60 a week on my lunch meals for myself and my lady. That's a bargain compared to other Supermarkets in where I spend 20-30 on just a few single ingrediants I couldn't find here. All in all Walmart is Walmart. If you know it, you know it and if you don't; learn to understand that you're here for a bargain not customer service. read more

However, this is the 4th time I have purchased chicken, put it in a plastic bag so I dont get raw chicken juice everywhere, and the cashier ALWAYS puts the chicken upside down in the paper bag. As I was telling her I wasn't and she even saw I wasn't she Rolled her eyes and laugh with her coworkers. Until I told her "you don't have to roll her eyes" she replied with "I can if I want too." Worst wal mart I've ever been to. Has nothing to do with covid this wal mart has been horrible for years. I ordered a delivery order 2 days in advance for 7-8pm. At 750pm i tried to call the store. No one answered at delivery and pick up. I tried to call customer service, no one answered there. I tried to call electronics even, no one answered there. So i call wal mart support and finally get through close to 9pm and they just tell me oh pick up at that store is closed. So the store just didn't deliver my order and didn't bother to call me. I bought a half gallon of Organic milk in the cardboard container. I got it home and realized someone had opened the container and drank out of it. Thank god I was the first to open it and not my child. Make sure to check the items your purchasing closely. Customer service and cleanliness are obviously not priorities. They always only have 2 registers open with huge lines. Why not open more registers? Today I was in a line that slowly moved, turns out the cashier was texting on the job. She's gotta be the slowest cashier I've ever encountered (THE tip: the faster you scan, the faster time moves). I saw that the next cashier didn't have her light on but was ringing customers up, so I asked if she was open, she said "do you have small or big things?". So apparently she was only helping people who had less than 10 items which the lane wasn't even labeled for. Not fair. (Although, apparently it was a favor before she left, still not fair). Also while there, they consistently called for customer service to pick up the phone and to go to the electronic section. Obviously everyone's too busy to do their job (I always see too many people walking around). I've also seen dirty and/or unorganized isles where items are on the floor. I've seen employees see the mess and walk right past it. Employees don't seem too happy about their jobs either (Tip: always fake a smile at work!). read more

I only gave one star because I had to. This Walmart on North Davis sucks and has just gotten worse over the years. The management is just as rude and lazy as the staff. We only come here out of convenience but we can't stand it anymore. I guess we'll be making the drive to Target now, at least it's clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The main store is okay, but the oil change department can fall off the face of the earth as far as I'm concerned. Took my older car for an oil change on 8/12. Took them over an hour to even pull my car into the service bay when there was just ONE car in front of mine. After over an hour, they return my key to me, and tell me that they could not change the oil because of a dent on the oil pan. What??? I took a look under my car after that and found nothing more than a small nick near the drain plug. Did the oil change myself in less than half the time it took them to even pull the car into the shop. As for the main store, it's alright as long as you don't expect the employees to hold your hand. But if you can do so, spend the extra money and get a better experience elsewhere, or do it yourself. BTW, O'Reilly has good deals for customers who do their own oil changes. UPDATE: Within the next few months, my car will need new tires on the front. Rather than wait over an hour, or even have that "dent" on the oil pan be an issue, I will be spending the extra money and go where the employees are actually interested in working. UPDATE: Just attempted to change the oil on a vehicle last serviced at this shop. The oil filter is stuck and using my filter wrench just damaged it. Must have over-tightened it or forgot to lubricate the gasket (likely both). STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. read more

This Walmart is disgusting and I'm wondering are they closing or about to rennovate or something? I've stopped there a couple of times over the past three weeks (mostly force of habit, I keep forgetting that stores in Hawaii don't stock the same things as the same chain stores on the Mainland) and both times it's looked like either everyone stopped caring enough to stock the shelves or there's some secret going out of business thing going on. But there was a giant "we're hiring" sign outside so I guess this filthy excuse for a store is not closing. I had a gallon of milk that had a large poster on the fridge advertising it for $2.59. In the case it said $2.89. It rang up as $3.19. Downright overcharging customers. I will Never go back to this store ever again. No one greeted me nor asked me if needed assistance in the whole hour I was there. The isles were cluttered kids were running around pulling things off the shelves. I was in the sporting goods hoping to get assistance, I waited at the customer service area for 15 minutes and didn't see anybody. I couldn't tell who the employees were since most of them were standing around talking or on their phones and didn't have name tags on. The only way I found out somebody worked there was when it came to check out one of the girls came and scanned my item and didn't greet, ask me how my visit was or anything. There is tissue all over the floor and overflowing the trash containers that appear not to have been serviced in the last 48 hours or more. There is dirt & filth all over the walls and floors. The North Davis Wal Mart was a shocking experience. After traveling some distance we went directly to the ladies room. I have not seen a more disgusting rest room. There's a sign that says to report it if the restroom needs attention. My sister and I just wanted to leave - quickly. Our Wal Mart in Marina is stellar by comparison. It's scary to think employees use this restroom and are supposed to wash their hands before returning to the floor! The auto center is HORRIBLE. You have basically beg them to do work for you, because the staff is so lazy they try to turn all the work away. Examples: 1. We don't have the tool to change your oil. 2. Our machine can't balance your tires. 3. The right guy isn't in today. It recently reached new lows by not having any bags for groceries, paper, plastic, or for purchase, for the second time in a row, about two weeks apart. How is this possible? If you have 25 items, do you just throw them all in a cart? The first time I did something really stupid. I decided to call and talk to the store manager. After being disconnected and then being placed on hold for 15 minutes, I finally got through. The store manager apologized and said someone forgot to order bags. Really? How do you not do that? We have shopped at this Walmart several times over the past year with very limited interactions with any employees except the cashier and an occasional floor employee(which has been a mixed bag of friendly and smiling or barely present at all), but tonight we had an interaction with an employee that was fantastic and wish to recognize her. I order my goods on-line through my airline site to receive frequent flyer miles. Then, I have my goods sent to the store for pick up to avoid shipping charges. Yes, I do not get my impulse buys immediately but have to wait a few days. The up side is, I can accumulate airline miles and fly almost free out of Monterey Peninsula Airport. Yeah!!!!! If you ever wish to order anything online from this Walmart location I don't recommend it and we had been Walmart fans until today when this has prevented us from ordering anything from Walmart online. Today my mom had decided to place an order from Walmart to be delivered to our house. When Mom placed the order a day before they told her that the order couldn't be delivered due to a computer glitch and had been cancelled. Then my mom placed the same order again this morning they promised that it would be delivered between 3PM and 4PM and so we waited and waited and still no order had shown up. Then at 5PM Walmart called us and told us that our order had been delayed due to a "driver shortage" and wouldn't be delivered until tomorrow. I think this is just an excuse for Walmart to not make promises about getting orders delivered on time. And this is not the first time we have witnessed this. There are times when certain items we want are out of stock and have to be replaced with other items and I cannot figure out how this Walmart location manages to handle online orders when they cannot even promise the correct delivery time. I think this Walmart location needs to be investigated by Walmart headquarters to find out why they are doing this to people especially people who are Walmart+ members. Because as the proverb says "promises are to be made not broken" and until this Walmart location improves it's online deliveries we will no longer order from them for a while read more

It's such a nightmare to shop In this store. You have to press a button just to access items and then you have to wait 10 minutes for someone to show up to pick the items out for you. Then lock up the items in these huge plastic containers (that don't even close). This whole process takes a very long time so if you're looking to just take a quick shopping trip, think again and drive to dollar general because our local Walmart is too damn much. read more

Went to Walmart to buy a few things and i happened to park right next to a cart rack where a trash can was overfilled. Not only is that gross but unprofessional from the store. Are the managers not keeping up with their maintenance? I walked into the store and the floors were dirty. Hardly any cashiers to handle the lines of customers waiting to pay. Nobody seemed to be doing much. Waited a very long time for someone to help me with the alcohol isle. Managers seems not be following up with their associates because the departments were a total mess I couldn't find some specific items that I needed. If I could rated a zero star I would. The big boss market manager should consider coming down and get the store manager a few lessons on how to run his store. read more

This review is for 05/27/12. After the hike at Pinnacles National Monument and eating at Costco, we decided to just explore the nearby area by foot. Since there was no major mall besides the Northridge Mall, we walked over to the Wal-Mart across the street. I wonder why Wal-Mart didn't decide to just build a Sam's Club across the street and do a Warehouse Shopping War. This Wal-Mart was a Superstore. It had everything from Produce to Freezer Section. However, this one did not have a McDonald's. This one had a Subway selling PIZZA. WHAT?! I did not plan to purchase anything, but I saw a bag of Wonderful Pistachios. I don't thing Dodger Stadium sells these since I keep seeing the promotions to Clap and Start Crackin, but Dodger Stadium does not sell it. So, I grabbed two bags of Wonderful Pistaccios ($4.98 each). As we were headed out. I noticed that this Wal-Mart did not have Self-Checkout Lines. What a Bummer?! Also, as I was checking out, the lady did not greet me like she did the others in front of me. Booo!!! My total was $9.96. I guess no tax involved for my bag of nuts. If you have been to one Wal-Mart, you have been to all of them. Just like the Costco. Those bag of Pistachios were pretty darn good. They remodeled right after the 2nd Walmart opened, they did a really nice job. Not as crowded as it used to be. Plus everyday low prices cant go wrong, I personally like to use the photo department, I grab my memory stick and print pictures under 10 minutes. read more

The store has only one motorized cart for disabled persons, bad customer service. I asked a question of one person holding a thermomete, where I could sit down while waiting for the car to go free. Instead of helping me she shrugged her shoulders and whined "I don't know." I went into customer service and asked for the manager, and the person behind the customer service desk did page the manager at least twice at this point. She noticed I was uncomfortable and got a chair for me. They seem overwhelmed here and in need of some remedial customer service training, at least at the greeter station.....Just talked to the manager, it appears that Walmart policy is part of the problem here so keep that in mind. Also they have four motorized carts here and three of them are broken. That is definitely a problem. read more

Do not try online pick up at this Walmart! I placed an online order for pickup early in the day, and my reservation time was for 7-8pm. I got a text at 7:03pm that my order would be delayed and didn't get a text until 7:53pm that my order was ready for pickup. Once I parked in the designated area I called the pickup # on the sign and there was no answer and the voicemail was full. So, I called the store. And what do ya know... I was told all online pick up staff already went home and that they close at 8:00 pm!!!! I was LIVID! I asked why would they text me 7 minutes before they close to come pick up my order?!? I asked to speak to the manager because my debit card had already been charged and I wanted a refund. Then the manager says that I have to call Walmart online!!! What a bunch of incompetent people!
