This store is the best. I was looking for a new pair of running shoes since my last ones finally kicked the bucket after years of usage. I've bought shoes from this chain store before and I can't say enough good things about it. I ended up buying a pair of Nike V5 RNR. Weekends tend to be really busy, so if you need extra help, go on a weekday. You can definitely still find someone when it's busy, but it feels less rushed when they're NOT swamped with people. I've had nothing but excellent customer service here. No matter what location I am at, the staff will check their online inventory to see if they have what you're looking for in stock, in most cases there's been a few times where they didn't have a particular pair of shoes in stock, but they ordered for me and had it delivered to my house. I think Famous Footwear is definitely overpriced for what they sell. I could have gotten the same black Crocs at Nordstrom Rack for $20 cheaper. However, I was in a rush and needed it right there and then. Otherwise, I would have gotten at Nordstrom Rack. read more

Around 6:10 pm June 10, 2022 Me and my wife with our two little girls were shopping for shoes in the kids section. Two employees between the ages of 18-25 (Hispanic skinny 5'10) speaking inappropriately talking about "f*cking bitches" & "Sh*tting in the isles so everyone can see it" while they were stacking shoe boxes on the racks. They were loud & cavalier with their words for next 15 minutes, while other families looked at them uncomfortably. We were finally checking out with a pair Kids white Nike Air Max's since we saw multiple Red Nike boxes stamped "$39.98" . The cashier told us they stamped it wrong and our total came out to $65.05. We chose not to buy them, we just left. I've worked retail before and seen coworkers fired for way less. Just wanted to shop peacefully with my daughters but didn't have the best experience at this store. read more

My favorite place to go shoe shopping they always have a good selection but my favorite part is that they have a big clearance section always worth a look. The store is usually clean and the employees are very curdius and helpful the only thing that sucks is the parking area near this place is high traffic I recommend parking further away than the store front read more

I come here for shoes a couple times a year. I used my BOGO just the other day on two slightly uncomfortable pairs of shoes. My wife and I wanted to exchange, but the once-a-year BOGO goes away now. Great Customer Service. Today of all days, Christmas Eve my husband was in a motorcycle accident and paramedics had to cut off his clothes. We're from SJ and I'm not familiar with Salinas which is where the hospital is at. I had to rush through the crowds to find clothes and slippers for him. All stores were out of shoes in his size. I happened to see a Famous Footwear. Adam was sanitizing the doors and informed me they had just closed. I told him my situation and without hesitation he let me in and took me directly to the items I was in need of. It's Christmas Eve and I know the workers are wanting to get back to their family. Ordered two pairs of shoes online. I only received one pair . I received an email that my order was delivered. I called customer service and said to call in Friday. So it is Friday now and they said call Monday . I asked for a supervisor and customer service said they don't have none. Then I asked to talk to someone else then placed me on hold and said there is no supervisor available to call the afternoon. Then the representative asked me if I call fedex , really ? I should be calling fedex ? Then she said let me check for a supervisor.....still on hold . This representative is in headquarters San Luis MO. It seems supervisors has more important things than talk with their customers. Now finally after 30 minutes holding , I did not talk with a supervisor but they will do a new order and fedex in two days , the worst customer service I ever experience. It's a store with a lot of shoes. They carry Nike, Converse and more at great prices. You can find shoes for the whole family, for Men, Ladies and Kids. The store was clean. They need more staff. I came here to check out all the boots selection. Their were a few customers waking around and shopping. The sales associates were very helpful and Attentive. When I was ready the cashier was so sweet and nice, she made me feel like she genuinely cared about me. She offered me the rewards program and informed me of how it works. This store is complete crap! I bought some hiking sandals and wore them twice and each time something broke! And when I went back to return them, they only let me exchange them for the same pair of cheaply made shoes that will likely break again! Never shop here!
