Managers at this store dont care about the customers they only hide in the back of the store. Customers are always trying to get a specific product and the locked up items are just there withouth being sold. Also the store manager is an a-hole as well as the assitant coach ,,, they treat all there employees with no respect and they over work there employees . I must say I've been to multiple Walmarts all over and this one has to be one of the top ones that is the most flourished in product and keeps its Walmart clean at all times it's very un often that I find myself not able to find a product here and I would highly recommend it if you had the opportunity to check out this Walmart I think you would very much appreciate it, but don't take my word for it. I don't know if this is walmart's policy, or just this walmart location, but if you are going to state that your working hours operation are open till 11pm at night, you should do what you say. Tonight I had to pick up a box of cereal for my kids for breakfast tomorrow. I know that walmart closes at 11pm or so i thought because that's what they state. Silly me for thinking that they would follow it. I walked up to the door at 10:55 pm and there was already an employee posted at the exit door. As I walked through the door he said sorry we are closed. I pointed to my watch and phone and said it's 10:55pm you close at 11pm. He said sorry but we are closed. I then told him that i just need to get a box of cereal and i will be right out. He still said no. So I reminded him that "you don't close till 11pm" and i kept walking in. kept saying no we are closed and u can't go in, but i said you are not closed yet and i went in. As I walked in i see lines of people waiting to check out and people still shopping because it was not 11pm yet. I thought to myself, that the guy at the door was taking it upon himself to close early so that they could go home faster. I was wrong, because after getting my box of cereal and then waiting in line for 10 minutes, I saw a male and female employees standing at the front of the registers watching. I asked one of the employees if one of them was a supervisor, and they said yes. So I walked over to them and as i was walking towards them the female supervisor said sorry you need to turn around we are closed. I told her that i was approaching them to talk to them not to keep shopping. So with an attitude she says what do you need? I asked if she knew that there was an employee standing at the door stopping customers from coming in to shop 5 minutes or maybe more before the store closes? She told me that yes we do that so that we get people out faster after we are closed. I told her but your hours state that you close at 11pm not 10:50 or 1055pm. Then with her attitude she asks me do you have a question? I said I just asked you the question what are you talking about? Then I told her that if you are going to be closing at 10:50pm or 10:55pm then why don't you change your hours to reflect that? Of course she said yeah sure we will do it right away. And of course she was being sarcastic. So i said No you won't you will just ignore what i said and do nothing. and all she said was good night with a dismissive tone. I hope that this is just a case of bad management of this one store and not Walmart's policy. I'm sure nothing will get done to fix this, and that's why i am posting this. To let customers know that they should not try getting there just before they are supposed to close because they will be turned away. read more

Karen in garden center constantly bad mouths Walmart while I am trying to shop in the garden Dept. It has gotten so bad I only shop in the garden center when she is NOT there. If Karen hates Walmart so much the company should fire her and hire a pleasant person to run garden Dept. Karen is a perfect example of a disgruntled employee who constantly bad mouths Walmart but is first in line to pick up her paycheck. Please get rid of this nuisance so I can shop in peace! Karen thinks she knows everything about running a retail store and actually knows nothing. I can't even ask a question about a plant as Karen will start in on how miserable Walmart is and NEVER shut up. 0 Stars if I could. Went to auto Center about 8:30 AM. Nobody at the desk. My friend found a lady and she waited on one person then me. I need a battery and she quoted me $99. When I went back in the car a guy at the desk charged me $149. I said that I was quoted $99 and then he looked it up to show me that I was wrong and it said $119. And I said well that says $119 and, after hesitating, his response was "That's the online price." Really? Called when I got home to speak to the store manager and the phone rang over 20 times, then went to a busy signal, so I waited, then called again. It rang for awhile, then a busy signal. I waited almost 10 minutes then called again. It rang for over three minutes, so I hung up and will call National customer service and report this pricing issue to the Better Business Bureau. read more

So it's either Walmart or HEB right near the base right? Well I must say if your needing to visit a Walmart, this location is one to stop at. The only other one that's not to far from base that's a 'Super Walmart' is the one off Military and 410 and that one I advise avoiding by all means. That location is by far the worst Walmart Iv'e ever been to so this location will do. Unless your up for the drive to Potranco & 1604 Walmart which is a awesome location! So back to this location, the inside is well maintained and they usually have everything I need. You can tell they stock it nightly and the employees are always organizing different sections throughout the day. The one thing that does stink about this location is that it's not 24/7. It closes at midnight or 1 AM so if you need a store overnight this location unfortunately is not a option. read more

AVOID this Auto Center... Got a flat tire, took my vehicle back to where I bought the tires to get it fixed. Also they programmed the TPMS backwards on the Front Tires. 3 hours of waiting in their "waiting area" (three short steel benches sandwiched in among the Stinky Display Tires and Battery Racks) I Was told that they do not service TPMS as well as that they could find nothing wrong with the tire. The Next Morning woke up to the same tire being flat as a pancake in my driveway. What's the chance I picked up a nail in the 5 blocks from Walmart to my Home, slim to none. Took it to another tire shop in the immediate area and they not only found a faulty valve in the stem, but also a huge nail in the tire. Plus they fixed the TPMS mismatch, and did it is less than an hour for Free. AVOID THIS Walmart Service Center at all costs!!!! read more

This place is racist. I see at least 10 white people walk out with out having their receipt being checked but because I'm not white, they check my receipt and my cart, as if I was a common thief. This walmart is big, it has pretty much everything you are looking for including a pharmacy. It has clothes,toys, outdoor, tires, groceries, pharmacy, eye doctor, and here's the kicker...... a subway. Yea I said it a subway, walmart also makes it's own pizza and they are like hot and ready so you can get them to go. I really like this walmart and it is so close to home. read more

This is the closest grocery store to my house but I avoid going to it and walmart in general. HEB has more options and is better.

The 5 stars are for the two employees that i encountered today. i was going to call WalMart to give them compliments but no one would answer the phone so i'll hafta post here: 1. Was a young lady ( i didnt get her name) but she had long blonde curly hair & was wearing glasses & was working the self check out. She was very pleasant despite the fact the Payment system went down & u could only use cash or ck & it was a little crazy. She didnt get agitated because i was having several issues w the register. i also didnt get get enough money from the ATM to pay for all my items so she held them for me while i got more cash, then she ckd me out herself. 2. Was a very nice man named Dan who followed me to my car to give me a bag i had walked off & left behind because i was n a partial coma from my job & handed them to me, we talked 4 a few minutes so i was able to see his name tag... Peeps talk trash abt Walmart but if u pay attention there are some really nice people working there :) read more

Some of the staff members are extremely rude! I can't even believe some of these people were able to get jobs because their attitudes are so horrible. On top of that, they consistently only have two lanes open and I can literally go through the self check out quicker than one of their employees can check me out, and that's not including the time it takes me to wait in line. read more

Had to leave our cart full of groceries tonight. The whole front of the store was packed with people waiting to check out and they had 2 lines open. 50 people at least we're waiting. Not sure why this is typical for Walmart. Frustrating to do your grocery shopping and then have to leave without the food. read more

I go to this Walmart from time to time. it is always a problem to get a working shopping cart. If I want to go to the garden center first it is practically impossible to find a cart. There are NO carts at all near the garden center. The ones that are outside next to the wall are not in working order. Why is it so difficult to place working carts near the garden center? Then, I had several unpleasant encounters with the lady at the customer service. She did not want to take back absolutely new items with a receipt . She said that the manager said so. Finally I saw another male representative who did not make any comments but processed the return. Strange place with weird attitudes. read more

For this to happen to me two days in a row is unbelievable. First, let me start by stating when your vehicle is broken down you are not thinking about having a receipt. I get told by a customer service Mgr that I need the receipt to exchange for a warranty item. I explain the item was purchased in Laredo. She proceeds to tell then you will need to call or go to Laredo to get the receipt. Then another Mgr comes and attempts to assist me and at this point I had to purchase the same item again. This member of mgmt explains to me come tomorrow with receipt and we will make it right. So I go today and I am told by another member of mgmt that the Mgr I was told to come in today to take care of this issue was not working today. My issue was finally resolved by a different member of mgmt. As I was leaving the Mgr that asked me to come back was walking right next to my vehicle and did not recognize me. Shame on this management team. For this to be a training store. I would be completely embarrassed to be training members of management this form of behavior. I guess with everything else that was going on the chewing of gum in customers faces was bothersome to me. read more

I have always shopped at Wal-Mart for non food items and have put up with the bad customer service. I will no longer be going to Wal-Mart for anything. I will do my shopping at HEB. I always receive great customer service at HEB the employees always have a friendly smile and are welcoming and are always ready to help. So look. As a teacher, free time during normal business hours is essentially non-existent. So after a full day of teaching, I go in after work because I need to get my car prepared for an upcoming trip during spring break. So I go into the service section and give the attendant my personal information as well as the make and model of my vehicle and tell him I want full synthetic. He takes my key and says it will be about an hr and a half to an hour and 45 minutes. So I sit for a while then get to looking around the store. A good hour passes then they call my name over the loud speaker at which point I'm excited. Same attendant says "sorry, we couldn't do the oil change because you have an electronic oil level reader". I asked him why he didnt figure that out and know that WHEN I GAVE HIM THE MAKE AND MODEL!!!!! I WAS SO HEATED I had to walk out immediately before I wouldn't even be free to enjoy spring break at all. Walmart owes me an hour of my time. This experience was COMPLETELY UNCALLED and ENTIRELY UNNECESSARY. Lastly, with all the money Walmart makes, there shouldn't be one type of vehicle that cannot be serviced. That's a whole other topic so for now I just had to say how utterly incompetent their service team or leadership or representatives are. read more

This Walmart is virtually in my back yard, but I hate going to it. The management and the staff are all to young and immature to run this store. Employees stand around with the thumbs up the asses and don't even acknowledge you when you ask a question. Shelves are not stocked correctly. You get accosted every time you go near the electronic department by the ATT and Spectrum cable people. It is very annoying. For as big as they are , some departments don't have a good variety. The clencher of this story is yesterday I stood in check out line for 45 minutes and I was next in line and there was a problem with some ones card in front of me and the manger directed all of us to go get in another line and every line was filled meaning we would have to wait another 45 minutes. An experience manager would have diverted our line into a completely new register line so we did not have to wait another 45 minutes. I just left my cart right there in the line and walked out. I was going to purchase at least 500.00 worth of stuff. I am done with this Walmart, I will travel the 5-6 miles to the HEB and mall for what I need. read more
