Ronnie convinced me today to sign up for the Executive Membership for $130 annually. He works at the counter when I arrived to ask questions. I also applied and was approved for a Costco signature Visa from Citi that doubles as my membership card. In exchange I received a really nice Costco thermal bag and a $40 shop card. Citi is sending me a $50 gift card. In other words, signing up for the Executive card today was net $40, a great deal! You earn credits for every purchase at or thru Costco up to 5%! But that is not all, if I do not earn enough credits to make the card worth it, Costco will automatically downgrade me to a standard membership next year since the Executive wasn't worth it. Three lines at the exit door to check your items. all lines at least 10 to 15 people long. I get up to the front with my receipt, I only have 3 items but the girl checking my items acts like she works for TSA. I ONLY HAD 3 ITEMS. Now I know why it took so long. You'll need to train your people better and take note from UTSA location, much better ran warehouse. read more

Interesting difference between locations at food service area. One location wait for the number to be called, another location take your ticket to the counter. I love to buy stuff at Costco primarily because of consistency and homogeneous reliability (I know what to expect), except in most cases. read more

What do you say about Costco? Icon. Every single Costco parking lot scares me. This one always seems to have a line queued up just to get in to park. If you're lucky enough to find a spot, it's smooth sailing from there. Just kidding, there lots of parking especially close to the gas. Speaking of... The gas station always seems to run efficiently. We're usually in and out in no time. The store is always chaotic because of the people. It's always well stocked and things are easy to find. Except the self check out. I think I only realized where it is on this last visit. That said, the check out prices has always been super fast. And don't forget to pick up your hot dog and pizza on the way out! I had my floors installed by CRT Flooring in early March 2025 through Costco's contractor network, and I've had nothing but problems since. The installation, especially the stair nose areas, was poorly done. We had to correct some of the work ourselves. I reached out multiple times, and on April 17, they agreed to refund a portion of the cost. It's now nearly May, and I still haven't received a refund or any resolution at all. Whenever I contact them, I'm told they're "working on it," which feels like a stall tactic. It's clear they consider the work acceptable, even though it's not. I expected much better, especially through a Costco-recommended provider. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I won't make the same mistake twice, and I encourage others to be cautious before hiring this company. read more

I mean, it's COSTCO. It's hard finding something here that you don't like...or at least wouldn't want to try. Am I right or am I right fam? This is the closest Costco to my residence so it's the one I frequent most. It's in a busy plaza, but that's most likely the fault of Costco ...cause everyone's mama runs to this store FIRST. Myself included. I like how this location has been ATTEMPTING to deep dive into different cuisines over the past 1.5 years that I've been visiting. I see a bit more oriental, halal, and south Asian flavors throughout the store that I didn't see before...and I APPRECIATE that. Sample stations are usually SPOT on and my toddlers love themselves a fancy Costco feast but usually don't eat the SAME food when we are home * I blame the appeal of the sample cups * We don't usually order from the food court, but when we do it's cause we are famished and spending an hour inside Costco has depleted our carb store & we need a pick me up. I currently don't recommend the choco chip cookies though, they were over baked and burned the first and LAST time we ordered them. read more

It seems that everyone loves Costco, so I decided to check it out with a member before I decided to get a membership myself. We went on a Sunday and it was super busy. They are pretty strict about their membership. When you walk in, you have to show your card. When you check out, you have to show your card and no one else can pay but you. FYI they don't take American Express or MasterCard. You can find almost anything you need at Costco. They have more food than you can even imagine. Everything is in bulk, so if it's just you at your house, this may not be for you. The produce section is amazing. They have a lot of vegetables as well. If you love cheese, this is your place. You can find large amounts of all kinds of cheese. If you're throwing a party, they have all kinds of party platters already available and set up for you. Check out went pretty smoothly even though there was a line. The store has very wide lanes for your wide Carts. It is super clean. While I was there, they were giving samples. Would I get a membership, no. It is not worth it for me since I don't have a large family at home. Would I recommend it for people with kids, yes. Parking is available on site and plentiful. read more

I came in today because I needed a price adjustment even though my account had expired back in November. Well they were extremely helpful I believe her name was Emily at the guest service but she was so helpful a with that price adjustment. I even ended up renewing my membership while I was there. Tons of samples going on and so many new clothing items! The store was clean considering how many people were there today and restroom were clean as well! I want to start by saying I LOVE COSTCO! I have a picture of the sign that was posted in 2021 when we were finally getting a Costco near Alamo Ranch. As with all Costco location you can find the lowest gas prices in the area, wonderful selection of fresh produce, huge selection of bulk items, indoor and outdoor furniture, clothing, appliances, gifts, seasonal items, beautiful and affordable floral arrangements etc. This location is lacking a liquor store and decent customer service from the cashiers. Those at the doors and giving samples are great so instead I use self checkout (which is why I still gave 4 stars). A lot of crummy attitudes at checkout and even the individual directing the line at self checkout. I know the liquor store can't be added easily but the customer service should be improved. Costumer service in this location is really bad!!! It seems everyone has an attitude!!! I even brought it up to one of the managers once. He stated he would bring it up on one of there staff meetings. Which is sad cause I been a member for years,since California. Executive membership is a scam. I haven't received a single check in the mail in the last 4 yrs I have been a member. To reissue the check takes months. They should be able to print out a replacement check or place the amount on a store card. It cost $130.00 for this membership.we deserve better. Next year if this happens again, I will be a sams club member. read more

I love Costco, I would rank the costcos in San Antonio with this one tied as number 2. I like the northeast Costco in live oak the best. This is number 2 tied with the UTSA Costco. I like the central north Costco probably the least only bc it has no gas station. The managers here have always been helpful. I like that the food court has a bit more seating than the UTSA location, and the gas lines are usually faster. I do like the ambiance at UTSA Costco a bit more and find that they have more variety of ethnic food. The live oak Costco may be my favorite bc I don't go there often and it feels more special lol read more

For a company that big only excepting Visa is a petty move. lts almost 2026 time to play catch-up with Sams at least there not petty like that. This is the newest Costco in San Antonio, located on the west side in the Shops at Dove Creek. It conveniently also has a gas station! Opening day had so many samples inside too! Size-wise, it is comparable to the location at UTSA, but it does not have a separate liquor store. The aisles mostly mirror the set up typical of most other Costcos. There is ample parking, but the lot will definitely get filled up on the weekends. The store is super clean, the employees are very friendly, and the food court has all the goodies you'll want to eat after stocking up on groceries. It's definitely a great addition to the growing west side. read more

I had an awesome experience today at Costco Tire Center on 1604 and Potranco. I called concerned that I was a little late in bringing my vehicle in for the warrantied tire rotation simply bc my Wife and I have been super busy lately. They told me don't worry bring it in. Not only did they rotate and balance my tires as expected but found a nail in the sidewall of one of the tires and replaced the tire on the spot. They were done in like an hour and I got the call that the truck was ready. I was surprised how fast it was. The gentleman Stephen at the front desk was super personable and explained to me that they had replaced the tire free of charge due to my roadside hazard warranty. Not only that but bc the tires had gone down in price since I bought them, he refunded me $58 to my Visa. Man I can't say how much of a blessing this whole experience was today. Costco tires with that warranty is really a good way to spend your money on tires. The people there are top notch regarding customer service. Thanks to the team at the tire shop there at Costco on 1604/Potranco. Wish I could buy ya'll a beer. Keep up the fantastic customer service and work you do day in and day out. God bless! read more

Am I the only one who will stop at Costco just for one rotisserie chicken? Of course that winged wonder is strategically placed at the very back of the store so you ogle, sample and scoop up more purchases before you can safely make it to check out. I love Costco for their variety and most importantly their food quality. Their product, bakery and meat sections are top notch! Love their pre packed deli items, too. Makes parties and gatherings so much easier. And hello?!!! I love their snack section with hot and ready pizzas, chicken bakes, hot dogs and sodas. Yum! Turned Away, Turned Off. I was Treated like I was less than human. CostCo is doing the wrong thing. Period. Negative stars. I needed help activating a T Mobile phone for my elderly mom that I bought from Walmart. Like most people do, I got directions from my cell phone for a "TMobile store near me." It took me to a CostCo, which I thought was odd but fine, they're clearly cross-marketing. My phone showed the TMobile store in the middle of CostCo. I approached the entrance and Keith asked if I had a return. I told him no, I needed to go to the TMobile store to get help activating a phone. He asked if I was a CostCo member. I knew at this point I should prepare myself for rejection, and worry set in. I said, "No, I just need to activate a phone with TMobile." "Sorry you must be a member." "You're telling me I can't get help with a TMobile phone inside your store because I'm not a CostCo member and I must go somewhere else?" I looked over and saw the TMobile sign a few feet away and I couldn't get there because I wasn't a CostCo member. Shaking my head in disgust, I walked away dejected. I have been the Quality Director for an international bank for over 2 decades, winning multiple quality awards in our call centers for years, and ranking #1. I recognize a quality culture quickly when I see one. CostCo doesn't have it. CostCo - YOUR DOING THE WRONG THING. You failed to help someone in need. Me, or anyone who works with me, would have escorted a person directly to the area and introduced them to someone that could help, even if they weren't a member. Because that's being helpful, that's the right thing to do, membership or not. I could've become a member. I could've been offered a membership. I wasn't. Instead, I got the feeling you "gotta pay for your friends" feeling here. This sucks. I found an authorized TMobile dealer and went there, and the service there was superb. Check out my 5-star review of that. Shame on you CostCo. You need to teach your employees the story of the Good Samaritan so other people get help when they need it, unlike I did. read more

I went to Costco to buy some groceries around 5:30pm. When I went to my car afterward I noticed I had a flat tire and the store was already closed at 6 on a Saturday. I drove to the gas station at no more than 15 miles per hour and asked the man working, if they could possibly inflate my flat tire at the tire shop so I could make it home. The tire manager told me I can come in the shop and they would patch it up or replace it with my spare. The gentlemen helping me were really nice and ended up replacing all of my tires after closing time. I am so appreciative of Costco's customer service. Every time I come to this specific store people smile, are helpful, and are so welcoming. The men working late deserve a raise, I appreciate the help tremendously read more

Called in a whole pizza 30 minutes before arriving to this costco, we walked in to pick it up and we were told that it was ready. We payed for the pizza as Tony brings it up to the counter - confirming our name and order number. Tony then cuts the pizza and puts it behind the glass to be sold as single slices... We are thinking, "Okay maybe he lost track/had an issue understanding us". We wait for our next pizza. 15 minutes pass and we check in to see if it's going to come out. Tony says, "(first name) ... right?" "Yes..." "We are putting it in right now." 12 minutes after that we receive our pizza. read more

Stop harassing customers at the exit door after we have paid for our items. They literally count every single item on your receipt to match your cart so you have to wait another 5min at the door just to leave when I've already waited in a very long line to pay for my items. I see there are a group of women that are waiting at the front door to be the first ones to get to the clearance section of clothes items. This isn't the first time I've seen these women. They all rush in with their carts to just grab all that they can to put them in their carts. Obviously, to resell somewhere else. Not giving anyone else the chance to buy anything. I was yelled at by Sheryl at the self check out line today. She was yelling at me from a good 8 feet away that there was a line and I needed to wait. I was so confused bc i DID wait in line and I had literally just walked past her. There was a "Karen" telling her that I did not wait in line. It was very embarrassing to be yelled at like I'm a child in front of a bunch of people. After I finished ringing up my things, I went back to her and told her I was in line and she didn't have to yell like that. And she said she didn't know bc she had her back turned and didn't see anything, it was just what other people told her. So she chose to yell at me bc some other lady told her I didn't wait in line, very rude and obnoxious. She could have approached me and spoke to me like an adult if she thought there was an issue.
