The online order car pickup is understaffed and (likely because of this) disorganized. Twice I have scheduled a pickup from here and needed to wait over 30 minutes. All the pickup spots are full and there is 1 {ONE!} stressed man running back and forth in the FL heat trying to give people their stuff. Customers were all so frustrated they were getting out of their car to go talk to him or knock on the door of the office. This made everything worse. I am not blaming this employee. He was great. What is he supposed to do being a 1 man show?!! This review is for WalMart management (who likely don't care a whit about my piddly review). Wal Mart, you make oodles of money- can't you staff this pickup better?!?!! It's obviously profitable for you. Sheesh. I was also very frustrated by the inability to communicate with anyone in this superstore to express the fact that this guy needed help and that the wait time was ridiculous. I called the pickup helpline several times. No answer. I phoned nearly every department on the store line: operator, Human Resources, pharmacy, deli and even Wal Mart corporate. NO ONE ANSWERED. It was not at all a crazy time of day to call. And- if the store is open, you should be able to reach SOMEONE. Laughably, the corporate line just said you can take care of everything online- nope, not this. Wal Mart, I know you are a huge company and you can (and do) do what you want. Wish I could give the delivery department a big fat ZERO! They don't follow directions, or instructions. They cant communicate because most of the them cannot speak English. They don't have working numbers listed on the app so when you "call your driver" YOU CANT. I have had many orders delivered outside of locked "RESIDENT ONLY" doors instead of locating a door with intercom as stated in the instructions. The last order I placed was Friday. They never did deliver it. Even after several calls to walmart.com and 3 conversations with the store manager George. There is always an issue, almost always a good 8 out of 10 orders have been messed up or I could never get it delivered. We just left Walmart in Sarasota on cattleman. My husband was in the plant section getting pellets for his smoker. There was one other person back there. A Walmart worker filling on line orders. She runs her cart into his. She than says something in Spanish. No excuse me, sorry, nothing. He is now the proud owner of a nice bruise. We go to check out (self checkout of course) and needed assistance. Both ladies were speaking Spanish. Pharmacy was the same. The lady couldn't even understand how to spell my name, ( it's Vicky). I made it easy for her. I gave her my ID. No conversation needed. So I guess English is a rare language at Walmart. read more

Very bad customer service. They should improve their staff, especially in this establishment where they have a very large customer base. The employees have a terrible attitude towards the customer. The ability to resolve conflicts is lacking and they do not give priority to the client in resolving them immediately. Remember that the customer is always right. Bad attitude at the exit door when they are checking customers. They are quite high pitched to speak to the customer. They should never be taken for granted that because they are a large store with a large customer base, they neglect attention and service. I bought a gaming chair on the Walmart app. It was a piece of crap plastic and cardboard. App said it did not need to be taken apart to return it at the store. I took all of it apart except the base because I couldn't get it apart.. I had the box, and had the chair for 24 hrs. I took it to Walmart to return it. The manager refused to return it, because it wouldn't fit in the box . I left a full cart of groceries (over $200 worth) in the isle yesterday. It was packed (Sunday) and only 2 lanes open. The lines for these lanes and self checkout wrapped around so heavily people could not get through. What type of manager observes the cluster of people and doesn't open up more lanes????? After all... this is a GROCERY STORE where people spend their $ at the end of the check out lane. Furious is an under-statement. From now on I will GLADLY spend my $ at Publix and boycott Walmart. The management at this store is a complete joke. Carol the Human resources manager just makes up stories about other people and does not care about them or their futures with the company. She keeps denying this but I know that it is true. She refuses to transfer meet to the night stocker position even though it will make me happier. Chris the morning stock manager refuses to take any responsibility for his actions and to treat me with any respect. When I have told him that I need help with something he completely ignores me. He tells me to top stocking only. When I need other experience in my section. He thinks that he can order me around when he is not my manager. The management in this store is really bad. read more

This is the second instance in two days that the management of the store have been either non existent or apathetic. Yesterday went to get a key at 2pm. No-one was present and three times I had to ask for them to call for someone and finally a manager. A manager did not show up but finally got a gentleman from music over to attempt to cut the key. Today we went thru the self check at 9m and the register double charged our bananas. I approached the attended in the area and she said she could not fix and we would have to go through the customer support desk. The customer service desk staff are helpless and mindlessly walkie talkie their team lead when thinking is required. Even then good luck receiving any quality service, as your problem will end with them regardless if they decide they don't want to do their job. The newly renovated Wal-Mart on Cattlemen makes shopping a pleasure (totally took that from Publix). There are plenty of parking spaces and its not crowded inside. The prices for groceries is always competitive though other places like Save-A-Lot and Publix will have weekly deals. The items are stocked and neatly arranged. The aisles are cleaner and better maintained than before. I love Wal-Mart because I can do all my shopping at once. My only gripe is not enough open check out aisles. read more

I order a chocolate cake with chocolate whipped cream icing and when I went to pick it up the cake was completely wrong. It was a chocolate cake with white buttermilk icing. I asked if they had another chocolate cake that they could put whipped cream icing on white or chocolate they said no that the cake decorator called in sick. They also said the bakery manager was off today. A manager came over an said he would discount the cake for me. I did like his caviler attitude, so I told him to keep the cake and I will buy one from Publix which is what I did. This is the third and last time I have had a problem with the bakery making the wrong item . read more
