WORST WORST walmart ever..... Always crowded can't even walk through the aisles... always only 2 or 3 damn cash registers open so you could imagine the lines.... everything is under lock and key including the key chains....store security looks like secret service security AND the shelves are always always all empty even tho they have merchandise in the middle of the aisles making it more crowded.... When I entered the Walmart, the customer service center had a line 10 people, me being the 11th. I didn't mind waiting in line for a bit, but then noticed the line was not moving. There was only one register (of four) open, and a young lady taking care of returns and money services. I waited in line for 45 minutes to do a return. When I was the 4th person in line, a man behind me approached a passing employee and asked if there was a way to get another register open because the line had not been moving. The employee (whose name I didn't catch) caught another employee named "Romo", a woman who asked her what was happening. The employee then told Romo that the man said the line was too long, when he didn't say that. She then said "ok well he can keep waiting or go home, his choice" without checking to see what was causing the long wait time. I heard it and so did the woman in front of me. I was in and out of the store in a total of 45 minutes. They could have been short-staffed or something, but there was no reason to be rude when responding and why did the employee twist the customers words? Just overall terrible experience. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Employees don't want to help out at all, instead they just say they can't do anything about your problem. No one is ever in the photo center, you literally have to wait 30 mins to get someone there because the person assigned there is just roaming around the store not doing their job. read more

Worst photo service ever! Came to get my passport photos taken, before I came I was calling for about 2 hours to get information and I never got a hold of anyone! When I got here supposedly the only person that is able to take the pictures was out to lunch!!!! I asked to speak to a manager and nobody showed up! Horrible service! They have it all but it's always! Always! packed!! The lines are so long it's ridiculous and the workers never know where the products are

for all the people who are reviewing and complaining, first off, the store is disorganized because CUSTOMERS do that. the employees organize everything and customers come and are inconsiderate and move everything or place it on another shelf. it's over crowded because it's in the middle of more than 5 cities. and people make it over crowded. the associates are always helpful yeah some are rude but everyone has feelings. yes the customer hosts take forever but what customers don't understand is that, sometimes there's not a lot of yellow vests are on the floor, and the regular associates don't carry the key, if they take long go to the electronics section and tell an associate to announce help. it's not that hard. and then customers get mad because everything is locked up, people steal! if you had your business you'd do the same. think about how customers are the affect to some situations, and think about how employees don't have access to everything. bye. read more

I'm not sure what people expect from a Walmart in the hood but like all of them, it has its good and its bad. I went once in the afternoon and it was pleasant. Not too busy, the customers weren't crazy rude, store was clean. But at night, I don't know what to expect. I usually get out of work late and when I really need something, I'll stop here. I immediately regret it. The security guy at the door greets me and for a moment, I feel that maybe my experience will be ok. That thought stops there. At night, there are always huge pallets everywhere, guys stocking product, mind you while playing their rap music (wt?), and I find myself doing a jump to go around them. Why am I trying to go around them when they should allow me to pass? I give up and go around. I never stay long. Usually grab what I need and go. Once I'm in line it's a little odd. Random people standing in line with me make me feel are invading my personal space. Can anyone say excuse me anymore? It takes a while to leave at this point and I mildly start to panic. All I can think is that if I were on register, I'd try and get the people in and out. But the workers seem to take their sweet time, enjoying the crying sounds of a baby who is still awake and at Walmart at 12am. Although there are pallets and tons of workers stocking everywhere, I did find that one worker was able to help me out! I guess my confused face and me wandering around prompted him to ask if I needed help with anything! Ahh! There is hope! read more

I used to like this Walmart..I came here often and since I'm a honest man especially on my reviews .. I pretty much got tired of all the theft I saw Thugs Doing...not only them but women as well..I just couldn't stand it..even though it happens everywhere.. and it's not my business why should I care ...I witnessed too much over here and little was done..ofcourse..what's more important .. a razor or your life..but still..it made me feel very uncomfortable..even if its not my store. ANYWAYS, overall.. kindve like target ..you go for 1 thing and fall for the psychological scam and end up leaving with more .. even buying stuff you never even thought of buying just cause your brain says it's cheap in price...then you realize you just paid $107 for like 8 things ..but always make up your own excuses and say yeah but the bottle is bigger..but is the product inside as well? No! Many big bottle items like laundry detergent is 75% Filled..Shampoos and Conditioners like 85% filled but that's not all..just cause they're big doesn't mean you're saving .. electronics are ok..not the big brands prices are good..toys ..well, now that toys R us is gone.. increase the toys merchandise..because the toys you sell aren't all that and never have anyone restocking during business hours which would be great. The food..well..it is cheaper than your local super market..but fruits and veggies, even though they look better than that Downey walmart which I definitely did a review on..they look much better but wouldn't buy from here. Its semi ghetto and somewhat chunty..so im gonna give this popular Walmart 3 stars. read more

Very good service. Quality food. I enjoy frequenting the store late at night without the crowds. You expect the crowded store during the day because the location is Los Angeles County. The late at night employees are more solicitous to please, which is wonderful to see at any large store! read more

Drove here from eagle rock to get keys made. They told me the person who works the key area called out and no one in the entire store could help me. I guess call ahead if you're planning to get keys made. read more

I hate this Walmart. The only reason I go is because it's conveniently between my job and home. The last time I visited, I wanted to cash this small check from my insurance company. Being that is Christmas season, of course the customer service desk line was loooonnng. But, I was tired and just wanted my money. I handed my check to the clerk. My check was signed and had been folded. She looked at it up and down, side to side and every which way. Then she said I have to get an approval. I thought that was odd. I see people cash checks at Walmart all the time with no trouble. But whatever, just give me my money so I can go home. She returned with the so called manager. I was told they wouldn't cash my check because the signature from the company didn't look right and the dollar amount was not perfectly in the amount box. And I'm standing there like "Really?!" It was some straight up BS. I don't even look like a person that would be trying to pull something! I doubt I'll ever be returning to this stupid store. I didn't like the service the beauty employees gave on my last visit. I was buying two palettes and I didn't know we had to pay directly there I thought we had an option of checking out in the front. This lady looked at me and told me I had to pay right here or leave my items and I said okay, but her manner was very rude I waited in line and she kept starring at me like if I was going to steal. I was heading to the checkout and I could hear her talking in Spanish to her coworker telling her that I was about to steal and walk out but she stopped me. I don't think she knew that I am fluent in Spanish but I found it very disrespectful for her to claim I was stealing just because I didn't know we had to pay directly in the beauty aisle. It was also incredibly disrespectful to gossip about a customer while they're still shopping. I felt like leaving my items and just exiting the store but I knew that if I did I would add to her false accusation of me "attempting to steal". I have never stolen anything in my life and it was honestly very hurtful to indirectly be falsely accused of this. I just don't understand why anyone would even want to steal Walmart makeup it's so cheap there is no reason to steal or accuse anyone of stealing. I personally don't think I was acting suspicious I had all the items in my hands I wasn't carrying any bag and it was clear that I had my wallet and was ready to pay . read more

So I walked in around 11:40pm. The store was about to close & I was just rushing with my friend towards the back to pick up some dog food. A security guard followed us and started harassing us. He started by yelling "HURRY UP!" & almost getting in our faces and questioning everything that we were doing. When me and my friend got to the dog food section, he patiently waited and started yelling in our faces to leave the store and made homophobic remarks such as "cupcake." And some other words in spanish. My friend and I left the store immediately & complained to the manager as well in hopes to fire this guard. It's disgusting and discrimination towards the lgbt community and overall I wouldn't recommend this atmosphere to ANYONE. Employees are rude also. Something needs to get done asap. !! This place sucks! They're Always out of stock in store and online. The online tells you something is there in the store, then you go to the store and it's not there, what is that? Keep your online updated. Their online center staff in the store gets cocky and is rude to customers and need a class or two in customer service. It takes forever in the line for online orders. Slow as molasses. The store itself never has any staff visible to help you with anything and when you do see em, their eating or talking with other staff. They need to hire Whole new team. read more

They should have closed this store instead of Pacoima. Employees, customers are the rudest I have ever had to deal with. This place doesn't know the meaning of customer service. This Walmart was super dirty and some of the employees looked more dirty then the store. Employees walking around in regular clothing with no indication that they worked at Walmart. I asked various employees to speak with supervisor and none cared or even requested one, I found one myself by walking around and the supervisor told me she was busy with other people. She didn't acknowledge me and said she had other things to do! Worse experience I've ever had with any store/company. South Gate Walmart needs new and the right management personnel and lots of training on customer service. read more

There was an Associate named Geana who was very Helpful and Fast. They need more Associates like her!!! They should put her back as Cashier, because when Lines were long she was the one to get everybody out the way Fast. Most cashiers there are slow as hell, so if you ever go to this Walmart I would highly recommend to get help from Geana. She also helped me get my items returned as quick as possible, because lord knows that customer service line be long as a freeway but she helped me skip that line & sent me straight to customer service manager Marlon whom also was very Helpful and Fast. Store is Hugh and very clean(still new). Had problem with a price on a Lego set and the sales clerk in the toy area was uncaring and rude. I told her the price on the Walmart web site was 20dollars less and she told me the store price was higher and she could not help me. On my way storming out so I could order on amazon I came across a supervisor who,s name Sergio who was very understanding. He took care of the price difference and apologized to me. Because of his caring we continued shopping and spent an additional $200.00 before leaving. He is an asset to your store and I hope he will be recognized for putting the customer first. read more

I give it a 3 star only because its closer to my home. I was just there yesterday. I waited in like to pick up my site to store order. I was there at 4pm. I waited in like for an hour. I get to the front and they tell me my order got there but they still need to process it so they can give it to me. The man was like " if we go for your order we will have to go through all the things we got in today and look for yours and thats just too much for us right now". I told him. So everyone else could wait while you look for mine just like im waiting around for them to get theirs looked for. All in all. I asked for my money back and left. I guess its because of all the holiday shopping, but thats why they should be more organize this time of the year. Any other time of the year, ive walked in n out of the walmart.com section. I live in bell and in would much I rather drive all the way to Pico Rivera than here in south gate.
