This Walmart is HORRIBLE!! I've been in the "customer service" (I use that term VERY loosely) line for nearly an hour. There are two very slow moving associates "working" (loosely) the registers. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Went into the walmart store I felt really bad I needed to use the restroom. Maria an employee was cleaning and did not let me in. I explained to her that Iam disabled and could not walk all the way to the restroom in the far back of the building. She still refused to let me in the restroom. Found manager named john and asked for assistance, he then asked Maria if she was done cleaning the restroom, she said no He can use the restroom in the far back of the building! John did nothing. When I asked him again he called security to threaten me, my wife, and son. Maria still in the restroom took more time standing in my way to use the restroom. Worse experience! My bf went to the restroom, as soon as he walked in the stall a maintenance lady named Lisa asked him to get out because she needed to clean the restroom, he asked her if she could please wait a minute she replied saying she needed to clean the restroom, since he said it was going to take him a bit she decided to call security. We decided to address this insident to a manager, an employee helped us out and walked us to the lovely assistant manager Alexsus very inexperience she has the worse customer service all she said was I will talk to the employee and walked away. I decided to address this to a higher person a manager named Jay, he said he was just told about the insident and he was going to speak to the employee, I did mention I would be speaking to his corporate he replied saying he understood and I was in my right to do so. read more

Don't even TRY and call them. They don't answer... and when they do they hang up on you or answer and put you on hold without telling you and leave you sitting there. I tried to get ahold of the electronics department 6 times and finally gave up. This place is the worst. read more

I always find what I am looking for and get plenty of groceries for around 80 dollars, it is crowded but that just means people come here for a reason, yes the star that is missing is for the long check out lines because I think the cashiers could be a bit faster, I mean I've had a few young ones take forever but I do think they can improve. This Walmart is disgraceful. I have been to this location 3 times and it just gets worse. The parking lot is littered with filth and shopping carts. Cars are packed with families just sitting there eating and then tossing trash and diapers. No one bothers to clean or collect carts since I have NEVER found a cart inside. Once inside I first thought the Deli/Bakery was nice until I got home and found expiration dates for the very next day on my Cookies and potato salad. What a rip-off. I usually shop late evening and expect the isles to be a little blocked for restocking but the employees and lack of management leave the isles completely blocked and then walk away or go on break. No one there to even ask help as far as the obstacle course. The few employees I tracked down knew nothing or didn't speak English. I spent way to long each time and each time I left with only half of what I went for. On my last visit on 8/12 I applaud the one any only cashier available. Why did he have to be the only one though?? It took forever to get out of there but I made sure I told him what a trooper he was. My receipt says the manager is FERNANDO REYES. Well Mr. Reyes, please look into hiring more staff, security and a parking lot sweeper! If it's a lack of funds then take a rate cut. For being our new Walmart Supercenter it is sad and embarrassing. The lady in the personal care section closed off the entire aisle without giving me a valid explanation. She said I wasn't able to buy make up remover past 10pm. I was so excited to have a Wal-Mart Supercenter so close to home that would be open 24 hours! Upon entering my every expectation of how wonderful and new and clean it would be was completely shattered! The way the store is set up is confusing and makes no logical sense. The aisles are crowded and messy and the entire right side of the store in the front where the cashiers are , are FULL of Multiple carts overflowing onto the floor of merchandise "Go Backs" ! The staff is friendly though. But that dosen't matter if you can't find what you are looking for. Then there is the parking lot full of trash and numerous vendors selling everything from tamales to mexican sweetbread and then the panhandling vagrants approaching you on your way to your car. I think I will pass and just keep going to my favorite Wal-Mart Superstore in Pico Rivera. They are set up a way a Superstore should be. South Gate should take some lessons from them and get it right. I won't be going back. So far the best thing about the entire shopping center is the In-N-Out Burger! read more

I have literally just left the store at 7:28 pm on 2/18/2020 and I cannot believe the people they hired here ! I was leaving on the right side next to pharmacy exit and there were two girls at the exit I believe one was training the other on how to scan peoples recipes and baskets as they were leaving . There was a lady in front of me she was showing her recipe and she had an item that was in a different recipe and asked her daughter to give her the recipe she shows it the girl scans the item and jokingly tell the customer "ok I was about to call security" and starts laughing the customer didn't find it funny and just kept walking out she scans my recipe as I'm walking out I hear the Girl next to her "the trainer" say "you have to be careful on what you say to these MOTHERFUCKERS they will turn on you real quick" I couldn't believe what I had just heard. Really your paying customers are motherfuckers. When I called the store to speak to the manager an associate answered and says " all the managers are on the floor so I can't get one for you but call the 1800 number" and hangs up. Only two registers were open at the self-checkout. Self-checkout is 10 items or less. To move the line even a little faster, why not have one of the two or three employees working ring some people up and the other(s) helping get the registers back in operation or helping when they need assistance. I'm extremely pissed because of Ivan in the money center/ customer service area. I waited in a long as long for maybe 15 or 20 minutes. When it's my turn, he kept stopping to help his co-workers and cracking jokes with them. Whilst he was doing my transaction, he would stop and listen in on their transactions. No, he wasn't the customer service manager because he ended up making a mistake and had to call the CSM to fix his error. The gentleman next to me received some money the other cashier asked Ivan to count it. Instead of saying hang on let me finish up with my customer, he proceeds to count $1500! Now we see the reason why there are long waits in this Walmart because employees want to play around like they have all the time in the world. You might, but I don't I have better things to do with my time than just sitting around waiting for employees to stop playing and so their jobs. people beware when you are purchasing electronics from this store! Sanyo and Panasonic are no good so i did some research on the Sanyo manufacturer website and saw numerous complaints regarding same issue i am having with my tv. havent had my tv a year and no longer works. i purchased the extended warranty and no one will help with repair. its been three weeks and i keep getting the runaround from the manufacturer. ive called the store to speak to the manager Lawrence Meza and hes seems to never be available or return my call. spoke to walmart corporate and still no help. beware when you are purchasing the extended warranty. really doesnt do you any good just extra cash they want to collect. read more

I placed an order online, accidentally stood in the line that wasn't for pick up. The cashier yells at me to STOP! and not approach her when it's my turn. She turns to the girl next to her and they start chatting it up. 3 mins later, she signals me with her hand, (not even looking at me) that it was ok to approach her now. She rudely tells me I am in the wrong line, so I ask her where the correct line is, and she tells me "I don't know!'. As if she doesn't work there.....lol. Ridiculous. Then, at the Pick Up line they tell me they cancelled my order. I asked why...response "I don't know, the machine just does it, I don't know why, if you have a complaint you need to speak to a manager". Seems like NO ONE here knows ANYTHING! Worst customer service ever a guy called Richard from site 2 store kept being rude i asked to speak to his manager and he told me that (Stephanie) wasn't there asked to speak to a supervisor and he just hanged up on me ..I was just calling about a laptop to see if they had it on stock took me 2 hours to get no were with This people they transferred me to electronic where they kept answering and before I could say what was I calling about they transfered me to their operator and so on and on after a couple of tries they just hanged up . Called back and got the same respond which was nothing just hanged up a girl answered the phone she wouldn't give me her name just kept transferring me to different department just can't comprehend how a "intellectual" human being is not able no accomplish a simple task of just answering a simple question or at least let me speak to someone that's able to do the mediocre job that you get paid go do which is answer the phone and transfer me to the right department..... If I can give this no star review I would. Went in today to return a Logitech mouse that I had purchased yesterday. I had my receipt, mouse is still brand new. First of all the customer service / exchange lane was so busy and the 3 ladies that were there very unprofessional, pulling out their phones and taking pictures while the line continued to stay busy. Regardless this is not why I am writing the review I am writing the review because as I was trying to change the mouse I was told that they had to make sure that the serial numbers match, totally understandable and it makes sense why they do that. When the lady returned she came back with a manager, the manager explained the ordeal on why we couldn't exchange it and why we couldn't get store credit for it. The serial numbers did not match, which in part is not their fault and it is not my fault, the manufacturers messed up and thus it lead to us not being able to return the thing. It would have been nice to be informed of this situation in a professional manner instead of making my boyfriend and myself feel like we were doing something shady, which we weren't because we were just there yesterday and we decided to return it. I couldn't get the name of the employee that told us the situation, but she was very rude and we felt like were being discriminated against, telling us that the manufacturers would never send them something that didn't match. Even though that exactly what happen. We didn't go out of line with her, we respected her and didn't even cause a scene however the way she made us feel is completely unacceptable, I work in customer service and regardless of the situation I would never make my clients feel like they have no good intentions or that they are trying to cheat someone out of something. It was very uncalled for. Therefore, although it doesn't matter, I will no longer continue to shop at this location. to anyone who has ever been made feel less for no reason, I'm sorry you'd ever had to go through that. read more

Eric from electronics lacks customer service. He has long, blonde hair and wears glasses. I asked him a question and he completely ignored me and walked away with another customer. He did not stopped to say "Just give me a minute and once I am done with this customer. I can help you." I waited at the register. When he came back he told me to move and give the customer space. Don't shop at this Walmart it's terrible! My experience with them was just annoying. So I had gotten the last paint and for some reason they have this new rule that the person who helped you out puts the product at the cashier (only applies to products that are locked up). So when I was ready to pay I asked for my paints and they were like "oh we don't have that paint here". And of course when they went to go check they didn't have anymore black paints. Because of their ignorance and stupidity they had given the paint to some lady. Their organization of things is terrible which is why this happened. They aren't organized and this problem has probably happened to others yet they don't fix it. Like at least have the decency or make time to put a name on the product of the person or something! So I order a stroller online and it gives the option to pick up in store. We wanted it right away and it seemed like a great idea. My card was charged. It also gave the option to add another person for pick up. Usually when you order anything online only the card holder can pick the item up. I thought, this is too good to be true. I added my husbands name. He goes the next day for pick up. When he gets there the employee tells him that the item was no longer available. That my card was credited the amount. I am online right it now and it says the item is available so I can pick up at this location. This is horrible nonsense. I do not recommend at all. read more

I give this Wal-Mart store a one star because customers should be always priority. I came in without grabbing a cart( my mistake) thinking I was not going to buy much, Walked through some Walmart workers who had a line of carts full of merchandise that needed to be stocked except one cart had a few boxes. I asked the worker if she mind if I grabbed that cart due to the reason that I was carrying all my groceries I could of easily dropped them. The worker was very rude not even looked at me while I was talking to her but yet she answered no because I need it. I told her I needed it too, and no was a bad answer. I than decided to speak Marlon one of the managers I explain what had happened and he asked me what is the workers name. I don't have it but can you please walk with me and I can show you who she is. He than said no I can't. He seemed to care less. So I asked him if there was someone above him. He directed me to a small office where a few girls were inside when he open the door. While he was coming in Yvette was so unprofessional asking him with attitude and making face expressions what was I doing standing near and what I wanted. Marlon than quickly shut the door. A few min. later he comes out saying some one will be right with you. So I was waiting for several min and no one will come out. Finally a cashier offers help and says have you spoken yet to someone I answer "no" so she called an other manager whom I thought she will care a little more. But didn't. Best Walmart I've ever been to! I come here at least twice a week since the day the opened and I can see a lot of improvement. It's really clean and most of the employees are really nice and helpful. Probably the only con of this Walmart are the lines for the cashiers. Sometimes there could be a lot of people and they only have three lanes open. Other than that best Walmart ever!
