I am a regular customer of this walmart Suwanee location since this is the nearest store. Customer service of every walmart is getting worse day by day. I don't remember when was the last time I scanned my items by human cashier. This week I went to this store to buy Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Frozen Pastry Dough Sheets. I searched the item before I went there, and item showed available in stock. When I went there it wasn't on the shelf, one employee checked their stock through their device which showed zero stock. This Walmart has decided to lock up all its makeup behind glass doors! So you have to ask an associate to open up the case to buy ANY makeup. Add to that - there was only ONE associate helping another customer who was looking through multiple cases taking lots of time. When I asked if I could grab the one thing I needed (I knew exactly what product I wanted) I was informed there was a LINE to get her help! I decided to walk away & come back at the end of my shopping trip to try again, and there were NO associates around at all! Several women were just standing around looking for help! So needless to say, I never got my makeup. Just one more reason to shop Amazon I guess. Very sad & so stupid. read more

I'm a Walmart shopper and I proudly say that. Primarily for groceries between the aisles, cleaning supplies, glass bowls, and things like that! Aside from knowing their items are about $1-$2 cheaper than say Target or Publix, this Walmart in particular operates quite well. Parking lot is generally clean of trash, carts in cart return, baskets readily available, staff that will actually help you locate items, and product placement is well thought of to avoid walking all over the store... In addition, the store is always transitioning and remodeling. Covid precautions are taken serious here and the store is currently adding a dental office and vision office. Apparently this is one of the 1st for the chain of stores in the Metro area. All will eventually convert to this style. Nonetheless, the only other Walmart that comes close to this Walmart is Mansell. Another great store. I've also noticed this store is beginning to carry more premium items that you'd see at a Publix or Kroger in terms of vegan options and just products that are well known for quality so I'm pleased they are catering to the demographics of the area in terms of income and things like that... read more

We shop online; I think I have been in the store maybe once, but we buy for pickup on the website. The service is fast and of the 50 or so times we picked up we had an error once, which Walmart made right within 24 hours. This Walmart is the first place we look for anything. read more

I have seen some pretty unfair reviews about Walmart. At their heart, they are always looking to keep costs down which translates to less cashiers. And that means better pricing for all of us. So to give them a one for that is kind of crazy. I am dinging them because I have spoken to two different people who either did not speak English very well or were faking it not to give customer service. Either way, this is still America and the people at Walmart need to speak English and give good customer service. No excuses!!! read more

What a great superstore of a shopping center. This place has almost everything that you need for a fraction of the cost. I used to dislike big stores like this because I felt like it hurt a small businesses but after living over four decades I've come to realize that in a way they are a help of hope for many and for the city. This may be the last stand for retail stores and I'm glad that people still shop offline. Their selection is wide and their prices are right. The service here is AWFUL. BEWARE! There are almost 200 people waiting to check out with two cashiers. The self service lines are all the way to the back of the store. Hamilton Mill store has the worst customer service, inaccurate pricing and no body available to answer a phone. Prices ring up differently than what is posted on the shelf and then you have to argue with Customer Service about being charged the wrong price. Their argument is that they can't change the price & that they had increases they were passing on to their customers. I told them bull$h&t & that I'm not asking them to arbitrarily change the price that I only wanted them to charge the price posted on the shelf. Take the time to update your shelf prices & we wouldn't be having this argument. Only when I asked for the store manager was the change made. In addition, I tried calling Customer Service and 2 other departments (a different issue) but the phone just rang until it hung up. read more

Picked up carrots today while passing through the produce section as I noticed they were fully stocked. Came home and opened the bag to prepare a snack for my kids and saw the the worst rotting. Checked the expiration date and it said Oct. 2nd. I will be returning them to the store tmrw. read more

I frequently shop at this Walmart Supercenter. I like the store's layout, the items that they bring, and the cleanliness of the store. Great location as well. There's a lot of negative written reviews for companies that deliver poor customer service. If Walmart wants to stand out, Walmart needs to rethink how they treat their customers. General employees at this location seem fine. Conversely, first-level managers and assistant managers are different. They are rude and unapproachable. In addition to their poor attitude, they simply follow the flowchart, and eventually, they run into a myriad of problems that they aren't equipped to handle. I guess these Walmart assistant managers cannot see that resolving issues with as little friction as possible will likely be appreciated by the customers. read more

Don't waste your time with their tire and lube department. I have never in my life experienced people so stupid. If they strip your oil pan, don't expect them to tell you until your next visit. Don't expect them to fix it when they said they would. We were told to buy a new plug and we did. The idiots put the new plug in with it still striped... That means they drained the oil and put it back in the car. Their mistake is costing us some good money now. So again, don't waste your time. Don't expect any help (which is typical of Walmart) . Don't trust them to do the most simple oil change. Pay the extra money to go to an actual service center to do what they are trained for. Walmart seems to literally pull people off the streets for that job, which again, should be able to do a simple oil change. This is one of those reviews that one star is way too much. read more

The Suwanee Walmart is my "go to" store for just about everything I need. My complaint is about the pharmacy. Actually, my complaint may be about all Walmart pharmacies. I don't go to the other Walmart's so I just don't know. During this store's last "re-set" the pharmacy was relocated from the middle of the store to left front of the store, no problem there. But here is where it gets interesting. The re-set mixed up all the products, so the overhead signs are not really indicative of the products that may (or may not) be in that aisle. Here is one example. Today, I spent a frustrating HOUR trying to find hair gel (any company's hair gel). Everyone at the pharmacy windows were busy, so I asked several of the shelf stokers. Two of them had no clue. The third looked hair gel up in his hand-held device and it said gel was in the shampoo aisle. I had just spent 20 minutes in that aisle without finding it. Then he tells me all hair products are grouped together by manufacturer. We found out this is not true. Some shampoo and rinse products are not shelved together. We spent another 20 minutes looking shelf by shelf by each manufacturer. We found exactly 1 hair gel product and it was not with the manufacturer's other products. Walmart seems to have dropped nearly all hair gel products. By the time I looked, he looked and standing around looking for employees to help me, I wasted am entire hour. That experience soured the whole rest of my Walmart shopping day. Before the re-set, all the shampoos, rinses and 2-1s were located together. All gels had their own section. That system really worked! Why doesn't Walmart go back to the system that has proven to work? Why not order some hair gel product? read more

This Walmart can get crowded and rarely has registers besides self check out open. Actually, I think that's how most Walmarts are now. Good one stop shop for random household things and groceries. Not sure if it's due to COVID supply chain delays but many shelves in the grocery section were bare. Some of the employees are very aggressive to be working in customer service. You would think the manager would be a better example to their lower level employees. I had a gift card that I got from another Walmart came to use it here, the guy swiped the card so many times it got locked, then the "manager" said they could do nothing. And that I had to call customer service, so I did and they told me the people who issued it would have to fix it which was Walmart ‍ then I had the same shirt just a different size, so the mediums rang up as $1 but the large wouldn't ring as $1, they came out to $7. The same exact shirt only difference was the size, how does that even make sense ? So I asked if she could give it to me for $1 so she said no and so I asked her to explain why medium was $1 and the large was $7. Around 8:30 AM on 5-3-21, I called Walmart pertaining to covid injection documentation and of course tried the covid option the audex. Dead end road when you can't get a live body. So, I called the pharmacy and spoke to Ben. I explained that I had my two Pfizer covid shots in February at the health department, and they issued a long sheet of paper for my proof of vaccination. The health department is so inefficient and bureaucratic that you can't get a person of authority on the phone. We need an official CDC vaccine card. I even went to the CDC WEBSITE and printed a copy of their card but it's the wrong size. A travel agent tells me I can't travel to Canada with a flaky looking set up, even if the airline lets me on the plane at all. I ask Ben if I could bring my proof of vaccination down to their pharmacy and have them give me a BONAFIDE CDC card and transfer this info. BEN HUNG UP ON ME. So, I called back and he answered and I said don't hang up on me. He substituted hanging up for for being snide and rude. His rude tone of voice was identical to when I worked for an airline that would have been an automatic firing offense, as they tape the calls. Ben epitomizes everything crappy in customer service in America. And if this was a covid question, then the idiots in management that set up the audex system, should have a way to speak to a LIVE WARM BODY. read more

I went to Walmart after receiving onlne order to return which was supposed to be cancelled but shipped in error. The entrance to customer service was blocked by the empty carts stacked up at least 10 so I was not able to push it with handling my return package. A worker was watching me and do nothing so I just said 'What a great service'. As soon as she heard me she reacted the defensive and aggressive voice "WHATTT". During peak times there are planets of cashiers and the store is kept fairly neat and clean. I've never run into an issue with items being in stock, nor any filth out of the ordinary. Also worth mentioning is that folks are friendly and there are employees that I know have been there at least the eight years that I've been shopping at this location.
