I read some reviews about this place before going in, and still took a chance of going here. Since its 24x7 Walmart, thought I can get in and get out quick to get some napkins and laundry detergent. Guess what, it took me 40 mins to do that. Some of the reviews are apt, of the employees being trainees, and not trained completely. Not many knew what was placed where. I couldn't get any direction to begin with when I was looking for the detergent. When I did indeed find one, there was no price tag on the shelf (should have taken a picture). While I was here, I remembered I needed some onions and cilantro, for which I headed to the fresh produce section. Finally when I made my way to the counter for checkout, considering I had some fresh produce didn't want to go to the self checkout. I have had issues with that in the past for not representing the correct weight and stuff. Since I had only 4 items, thought I could use the express line. But thanks to the service staff and late hours, only 1 counter for express checkouts was open. And two more counters throughout the store. Well there were enough people in the store to begin with and there was a huge queue at each of these checkouts. Frustrated I waited in the line, and worse thing the tag won't ring on the laundry detergent. The lady on the counter called someone to go check the price, which took more time. Why can't they look up the price on their systems? Frustrating experience never going here. read more

I'll preface this by saying I'm from Canada, where the Walmart locations are expensive, with unhelpful and even rude staff members; all in all, shopping at Walmart in Canada - at least for me - is an all around terrible experience. I used to shop at my local Walmart on a weekly basis, but since I visit the States twice a year or more now, I just buy everything I want from there in one go and don't even bother shopping at Walmart Canada anymore. I have never had a bad experience at any American Walmart, and even my worst experience has been average. Everything is cheap, organized, and the employees don't scowl at you when you ask for help - at least not in my experience. Some people have noted that this location is dirty/unorganized, and I disagree. I found it fairly neat. The experience I had at this Taylor, MI location was outstanding; it had to have been, or I wouldn't even bother writing about it. I had just landed DTW from LAS, and was tired as hell because of the overnight flight, and jet-lag. Canada's lactose-free whey protein is expensive as hell, so I decided I'd buy a dozen or so containers from the States, since I was here anyway. So after landing I ended up at this location, but they only had two containers left because apparently the lactose-free ones are really hard to come by. Two of the sales associates called quite a few locations, trying to find the product in the quantity I needed. This took a long time through no fault of their own, because the people on the other end were really slow. It took a total of 30 minutes to find a location that met my needs, and during that time we just conversed. They were really friendly, interesting, fun to talk to, and on top of that they took all of that time to help me when the Walmart staff I'm used to in Canada would just frown and tell me that I'm on my own. I have never had customer service like this, and I'm surprised it came from Walmart of all places. I never thought I would give a Walmart location five stars, but this the customer service here is excellent and deserves the rating; I only wish every Walmart would have customer service like this. read more

First off I don't like shopping at Walmart, I don't agree with the way they treat their employees or their politics. However sometimes it's a necessary evil due to the hours and location. I had such a crappy experience last time I visited that I need to write this review to vent. It was early in the morning about 7am and all the employees were stocking the store. I overheard two female employees having a conversation with each other that was extremely inappropriate I was left thinking wtf can't you see customers are here you ignorant people. Also I went in specifically for a cooking pan. I choose a middle of the road pan, not the most expensive or the cheapest the middle priced one. I took it to the register and unbeknownst to me it didn't have a bar code. The cashier very rudely told me I can't get the pan I told her I specifically came to Walmart at 7 AM to get this pan this is the only reason I am here! So I urged her to call the department to find me the barcode so she sent someone with the expensive pan far more expensive than what I planned to pay, and then told me I had to buy that pan. Regret-tingly I bought that stupid expensive pan and I'm still seething over it! I work far too hard to spend my money on something I don't want but I wanted so badly to leave that store. She had a nasty attitude. Between her and the other ladies and their rude conversation I left Walmart in a bad mood. read more

High traffic location, so be prepared to hunt for parking upon arriving. Store is pretty well maintained overall. They are also pretty consistent with updating their in-store product availability with what the online system reflects. Leaving the location is another nightmare. One way in and one way out the shopping centre, so patience will have to be your friend. read more

Way too crowded and so many stock carts left in crowded aisles in the middle of the day doesn't help

The staff was very helpful but this review is one star because their app and their stock inventory is not that good. Their stock always says "in stock" then you go up there and it's not in stock, if you go to purchase the item online or in the app it says I stock until you go to pay then it tells you the "truth". It's a sneaky dishonest sales scheme to get you in the store or in "check out" hoping you don't catch the date change. $200 purchase given to their competitor because of this. Worst Wal-Mart I have been too. Customers are rude. I felt sorry for the employees having to deal with these rude nasty people. I have shopped here more then a few times and its always the same. Rude customers. I would definitely recommend to go out of your way to another Wal-Mart. read more

Went here to get an oil change because the walmart in taylor said they have no technicians except one so she sent me to woodhaven. I get there and they said they aren't taking anymore cars. Wth!!! Apparently my vehicle runs on love and bubbles for fuel and miles. Don't waste your time at these trash places. I will a NEVER go back. They are ridiculous and could care less for its clientele. What a HUGE waste of gas. Do yourself a favor and just go to an oil change place that's legit and won't waste your time. I get one day off a week and I wasted a chunk of it in this garbage. I gave woodhaven 1 star for turning me away but if I could give this one zero stars I would because it deserves nothing. Keep in mind by the way my vehicle has no air conditioning because it recently broke so I have to take my 1 yr old out in this 95* heat on a dry run because Walmart wasted my time!! I sometimes stop and grab my pet food at this store after work around 9pm. Most every time I see employees standing around talking with each other. This time was worse than usual. I don't care for the self checkout for several reasons, but mainly because I get the large bags of dog food and it's difficult to get that done at the self scan. Today, there was only 1 "full serve" lane open and that was full. Several people with full carts so, I went to the self scan. There was one employee helping another customer and chatting like they were friends outside of Walmart. She wasn't paying a bit of attention to anything going on around her. I am quite confident I could have put my things in bags and walked out of the store without paying. I had purchased some medication that flagged for ID. She walked over and cleared the machine. Never looked at me or even greeted me. When she walked away, I asked why they don't have anymore lanes open. She said "because we don't have any cashiers" in a very snide way, and continued to walk away and not look at me. I called and spoke to a store manager who said she would "try to figure out who it was" and speak to them. I again tried to state that if that person wasn't left to tend the area alone, and if there were a couple more lanes open it would help. Not entirely the employees fault, as she was probably doing the best she could with what she had. The manager got a little short with me and no longer had the time to speak with me. At least I got that impression when she quickly wished me a good day and hung up. Way to go Walmart. read more

I really try to avoid this store, but sometimes I will stop if I need something quick as it is on the way home. I often encounter low class people who are just inconsiderate and gross. On my most recent trip some woman tried to hustle money out of me by claiming she didn't have enough for a cab. You know there's a problem when they need a security guard driving around the parking lot. The register line was ridiculously long. I went to an express line and some older woman was scanning one item every few moments and taking forever. Just an overall bad experience every time I go here. Avoid if you can or consider other local stores. I only go if I have to or if I'm too worn out to go someplace else. read more

bottom line this is what you get when your wage is 4.00 a hr..... I do my best to shop at Mijer, Kroger , Cosco, places where a fair wage is not considered a four letter word. I am not pro or against unions and sometimes you just need to shop at Wally world due to just that months budget , hours of being open and items for sale, that being said this place is a hovel,foul, putrid, and just sub human ,multiple times the aisles are in disarray , and the bathrooms un clean. but this week cut the cake , when I go in to a bathroom where human fecal matter is smeared everywhere to the point it smells and a employee walks in behind me ,thinks nothing of it , and ever doesn't wash his hands and walks out not getting staff to clean it up all while a walkie talkie is on his hip and could of called for assistance, this place reeks of The "ITS NOT MY JOB MENTAILTY" it is consisting of workers and a environment that the staff is rude, lazy and when you inquire about a product it is I don't know !! and a demeanor of leave me alone. There is no initiative as to" let me find out for you" or" here is something close" WTF!! not only what happened to customer service but hell acknowledgement as a human being !. Horrible customer service! So I go to Walmart in Taylor to get koolaid singles for Jim. Well then I get it and get in line, standing there for 20 mins while the gentleman in front of me first off acted like he couldn't lift a bag but he was the one who put all his stuff in the basket then he applied for a credit card but after that he then got approved but pulled his bridge card out then had to pull another card out for his pots and pans. And then I finally get to the front and rung up and they tell me my price and I gave them my bottle slips and they tell me " we can't take them they are for the woodhaven Walmart only" me " are you shitting me I seriously just stood here for a half hour now and your going to tell me you can't give me $4" Taylor Walmart then had there customer service representative to talk to me and let me just say I'm a customer service representative at my job they do not know how to treat customers just a bouncy of assholes! Store is always dirty and never enough cashiers on the job or people to answer questions in the aisles.

There may be validity to the complaints listed for stores in other areas, but I've got no such complaints about Taylor, except for last Christmas in the pickup area which has been remedied since then. I have to bring up the question of the behavior of customers who drop clothes and other items and leave them on the floor; allow their kids to open candy packages and other food items and not buy them; leave messes in the restrooms. Its not ALL on the backs of the clerks: Do do that, Walmart would be compelled to hire clerks to walk behind customers all day long picking up after them. Customers MUST take responsibility for shopping with consideration for the store's personnel. Let's face it, some customers are disrespectful, they're dishonest, they're sloppy. Some of them come from other countries where courtesy in the stores is not necessarily a prime issue. Let's put some of the blame for disarray in the stores on the customers who create the messes. I have never found a clerk at Taylor to be unresponsive, uncourteous, unavailable, or unhelpful. If you want a nice and neat world around you, then make sure you are not a reason for it being otherwise. Seems to me that customers think the world revolves around them. read more

I used to go to this Walmart for the convenience that it was close to me but never again, I will driver an extra 5-10 miles to go to one that is civilized. It was two days before Christmas, right after my father-in-law passed away. I was trying to catch up with my shopping after going through 3 weeks of my father in law in the hospice and finally passing away. I was in the card isle as my last stop before leaving with what I had been shopping for. I had picked out about 5 cards and was needing to find one more before leaving. This person came up and starting reaching around me like I was in the way but never grabbed a card, but instead talked on his cell phone. His arm was in this weird sling. I suspected he was security or something the way he was looking at me. I moved down the isle a little more and began looking at other cards when all of a sudden this black dude walks straight up to me and says can i see that card, which was right in front of me, so he expected me to move, I said one second sir I am looking at these cards right in front of me right now. He than grabbed my cart and violently moved into my side and out from my hands. He than said get the f*** out of my way. I looked at him said a few choice words and I was ready to start swinging with this guy and this woman looks at me says very snotty can you move your cart, (from where this black dude tossed it to), I moved the cart and the lady mumbled something like its about time you moved your cart you son of a b****. I said some choice words to her and than this guy from earlier with the weird sling said I am with security and you need to leave. This SOB security had witnessed what this black dude did because he was standing there the whole time, and did nothing for me, the victim, but instead says I have to leave for talking to customers inappropriately. This Walmart is totally ghetto, and I will never return there as long as I live. The security love the ghettoness and thats the way it will stay. They can go to hell. read more

THIS IS ABOUT THE REDBOX AT THE TAYLOR WALMART. I wish I could give it no stars, my first time renting on redbox I picked a movie it told me 2.12, I paid and brought it back a week later. The KIOSK failed to say $2 a day and upon reaching customer service my first rep was named LOVELY. Who was not lovely whatsoever. She told me I should have read the small print on the side of the kiosk. Next being transferred to MANAGER KIMBERLY she told me I should have watched the the first night and returned it promptly that's how movie renters should be and shes sorry I failed to read the small print on the side of the kiosk. They do not care about customer service and it ended with KIMBERLY the supervisor closing the chat because she said "I think we're done here I've explained that you should have watched it the first day and returned it right after you watched it." This company charged my card 20$ for a movie kept for a week. THIS IS THE WORST, not to mention the worst customer service ever. Walmart should remove the redbox immediately if they like their customers. read more

This is regarding their tire center. First, I do not care how minor of a job you are going to the tire cent for just DONT. If you take anything from this DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! My car was brought here for new wheels by my step father. A few weeks later my entire wheel ROLLS OFF ON THE FREE WAY!!! I have my car towed to Walmart. They refuse to do anything about it even though they were the ones that put the wheel on my car. After arguing with the person in charge they finally tell me they will look at the cameras but if they don't see that their "technicians" did anything wrong there isnt anything she can do. Meanwhile still not letting me take my car off the tow truck. She disappears for about 30 min. Comes back says there is nothing she can do. At this point I need to just let the tow truck leave because he is charging me the whole time. My rotor is cracked and there is a lot of damage to the frame of my car and near the door. She says the only thing she can do for me is sell me an additional tire that I can put on myself and drive home. OR the tow truck can charge me and additional fee to take my car home. EVEN THOUGH I HAD THE RECEIPT AND THEIR TIRE THAT I GOT FROM THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.... BUT I CAN BUY ANOTHER ONE. Long story short I filed a claim never heard back from anyone. I called many times and keep getting the run around. I go back to the store because I found out the wrong lug nuts were put on my car at the time of the original transaction and the person in charge looks me in the face and says how should I know what lug nuts go on your car? I say are you not trained? Is that not your job? She says I am NOT A CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN.... I am a WALMART CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN!!!!!!!!!! Just save yourself the trouble and never shop at Walmart. If this is how they think they can treat their customers they don't deserve your money. read more
