    a display of bubble foams

After encountering no mailing envelopes at a nearby Dollar Tree, I visited this Walmart Supercenter which was pleasant to see. Its location was tucked not far from Detroit Industrial Expressway out of sight; and its exterior design appeared like any other Walmart location. Maynard James Keenan (American singer) once quoted - "People have to follow their hearts, and if their hearts lead them to Wal-Mart, so be it." As an Illinoian who loves Big Ten college football, I loved the numerous Michigan Wolverine fan apparel stocked. If not for the unbearable prices, I would have likely purchased either a Michigan Wolverines or maybe even a Detroit Tigers t-shirt to take back with me to Chicago Illinois. Walmart ended up having the type of mailing envelopes I needed, plus more! I was shocked at the variety of bubble mailers stocked on shelf. Likely, I will make off-and-on trips to our Walmart in Chicago to purchase mailers since I am an avid shipper whether it be off of Poshmark or eBay. Another one of my purchases was a fleece since I had tossed my lightweight jacket during the Detroit Free Press Marathon. After seemingly an endless search through both the men's and women's sections I settled for a zip-up fleece jacket by George to wear on flight back to Chicago. Though I would have preferred black, it was the comfortable appearance that made it acceptable for me. Other than leaving this Walmart with a new desire to visit for mailing envelopes, I left in realization that even with self-checkout it does not help the checkout experience go faster because those machines are just not reliable. Happy shopping, and blessings to all that have stumbled upon and read this review. Thomas G

DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION!! This store might as well close down. If you call the store best case it will take 15 mins of waiting just to get the department you want. Zero repeat Zero customer Service!! Some of the lights don't even work inside the store! The worst Walmart experience ever!! Tire department slower than any other locations I've been too!! AGAIN no matter what DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE!!!!

Way too crowded and so many stock carts left in crowded aisles in the middle of the day doesn't help

Store is always dirty and never enough cashiers on the job or people to answer questions in the aisles.

This is a great little market for the quick in-and-out visit. As part of our Shop Local challenge,…read moreJacob and I decided to give Pelham Market a try. I probably wouldn't have known they existed had I not received a local flier in the mail, so A+ for their marketing to get the word out! I noticed lots of brands I pay a hefty premium for at Westborn Market, so my wallet was more than willing to give Pelham a visit. The exterior of the building gives off a "liquor store" vibe, so keep a close eye to realize you're at your destination. The space is very open. It is not laid out like a normal grocery store, meaning it's got an open-concept versus miles of aisles. It's a fairly small space but not nearly as cramped as Westborn. You can pretty much figure out which direction to go from the front door. Pelham Market has a great selection of fresh veggies and fruits, all at reasonable prices. We were excited to see Sunset tomatoes, which are usually only sold in big-box stores. Everything on our fruit and veggie list was available here. If you're looking for a super-huge selection of organic-this and exotic-that, you won't find it here. But you will find the basics. The meat counter was well-stocked with some of my favorite brands including Boar's Head, Dearborn brand and Delallo. We picked up some delicious Delallo smoked turkey for only $4.99/lb, versus the cheapest turkey at Westborn for $6.99/lb. When you take your lunch to work every day, you'll really love the $2 difference per pound. Besides meats and cheeses, they also had a large selection of fresh salads, hummus, veggies and dips. They had very fair prices in their meat cooler as well. There are only two registers! So, if this place gets busy, I'm sure it'll be a pain to wait around. Luckily there were only a few people in line when we were ready to check out. The process of getting out was quick and painless! There was even an employee there to bag our items. Our shopping trip was about $20 less than we've been spending at Westborn. Sure, Pelham Market may not have 100 fancy cheeses or 12 varieties of canned tomatoes, but Jacob and I were more than pleased with their offerings of our weekly essentials.

I honestly don't know how this market stays open. The selection is poor and I know for fact they…read moresell meat past the date of its expiration. Some of the produce was brown and moldy and there was blood on the countertop. I won't be shopping in this filthy store again.
