I was looking for a Men's suit jacket. I asked 3 employees where they were located. Not 1 of them spoke English. Then when I was checking out, I had 3 people in front of me and only 4 registers open. When they opened another register, the cashier didn't even notify me she was opening. Then I went through her register. No greeting and she totally ignored me. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Watch out for Walmart's bait & switch tactics! I bought something on walmart.com. The item looked different in person than it appeared online so I tried to return it. The link for returns didn't work on their website so I messaged them & requested a shipping label. They said my transaction went through a third-party seller & I needed to contact JoyBuy Marketplace. Who?!? Walmart is the only name on my order confirmation, packing slip & credit card statement. Without my knowledge or consent, Walmart gave my credit card info to a company in China. I waited 3 days for that seller to reply to my request for a shipping label. They said I had to go to the store to return the item. The nearest Walmart is 25 miles away which is why I shopped online in the first place. Having no choice, I brought the item & my receipt to the store, expecting a refund on the spot. I was told refunds take 2 weeks from third-party sellers. That policy is shady & ridiculous. Lesson learned to never buy from Walmart.com. At least with eBay or Amazon, shoppers know the seller is a third party and they can read their reviews. read more

Vision center charged me $60 for a contact lens prescription I did not want. I only wanted an exam for eye glasses, I specifically said I didn't want contacts. When I complained the Dr. refused to give me a full refund, she only gave me 50% back. So they stole $30 from me for a contact lens prescription I will not use. Walmart is Walmart! Almost 20 years ago I worked at this exact Walmart and they had just moved into the area. They were this big superstore and everyone was so excited. Back then they prided themselves on the best prices, nicest staff, cleanest building etc. Over time and different regime changes you could see this place devolve. Since their recent changes where this has become a Super Walmart it has regained some of its past glory and seems to be cleaner than it has been in recent years. The staff is usually friendly and they have a lot of products in stock. Price wise the grocery department has something to be desired but they do have some things at better prices than their competitors. As for electronics they can beat most of their competition without fail. During Christmas this is still one of the places I plan to go/be for early hour super buys. This store is still average but looks to be moving g in the right direction. read more

I came here around 630-7 on a Tuesday evening looking for an eye test and new glasses, also to have my current glasses adjusted as I recently accidentally bent them somehow. Still unknown as to what I did. I was looking for frames while I was waiting to be helped, one person was working. As she was done she asked how I could be helped I was trying to say "I came in today to get an eye test, buy new glasses and get my current ones adjusted because they got bent" - I didn't even get a third of the way through my sentence before I was rudely interrupted as she said i couldn't because you have to set up an appointment with them first. Personally, I thought I remembered them doing walk-ins a long time ago (like a decade.)So then I said okay sure and she aggravatingly sat behind her desk and in a straight up bitchy voice asked me "So what day works best for you" so I told her now I'd have to find out, look at my work schedule and call back to set up an appointment. As I was making my way out, aggravated with this women and her rude as hell demeanor, For whatever reason this crossed her mind at the time of this going on, she wanted to know what insurance I had anyway. When I told her I had Fallon Health - she told me they don't accept that anyway and I'd have to pay $70 out of pocket for the eye test. I called my mom to ask what insurance we had the last time we went here, sure enough we had Fallon as we always had since my dad got his job years and years ago. Idk why they wouldn't take Fallon when they absolutely did before. So all in all out of this experience- they didn't listen, they didn't care, they were rude, and lost out on my money because of her being rude. I'm not mad that they didn't take my walk in, I'm mad about the way I was talked to as a potential patient. I never got her name nor did I care enough to ask. She was an older woman between her 40s and 50s with dark brown hair- complete bitch. Maggots in produce. I've seen the rats in the parking lot, so I should have known better but I was cutting corners and trying to save myself a trip to Hannaford. I figured why not save a trip and the food area looks okay. It was broccoli I needed for my chicken, ziti, alfredo. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. I was being lazy. I threw the broccoli in a zip lock bag with some water, steamed it in the micro wave, took it out started cutting off the heads to throw into the pasta. I was just about to mix it together, when something caught my eye. At first, I really thought it was an onion from my sauce. I looked closer, a f n maggot. I said no way, I looked over the other pieces - 3 maggots total. All hidden inside and under the tree parts. WE ALMOST ATE IT. I should have taken a picture but so horrified I threw it away. I'll still come here to buy my laundry detergent and silly things like that my family will never eat. This place just stinks. I mean, its convenient enough that it's cheap and 10 minutes from my house but there's 30 registers and usually 2 are open. The workers hate to be bothered, god forbid you ask where something is. The aisles are so small and filled with some colorful patrons (people of walmart). Everyone's just miserable and for some reason workers are ALWAYS IN ALMOST EVERY AISLE "stocking". Walmart customer service here is horrible and buyer beware that will not return thing you buy without a receipt. They are very outdated with there systems they could not simply scan the card I used to look up the product. They said they couldn't take back a battery that I paid 80.00 that I had for 2 months that died. They said it didn't have a scan bar and it clearly said Walmart on the battery. It was my job as the consumer to make sure the battery had a scanning sticker. So make sure you make sure you have a receipt and the product has a scanner sticker or else you just threw your hard earning money in the dumpster. There's evidently s lot of staffing issues at this Walmart location. There's been multiple times where the lines have grown so big that I've actually left my items in the cart, and walked out before getting to the register. Was quicker to pick out the same stuff at the market basket up the street than to wait in line at this Walmart. I've noticed part of the reason is that the staff at the registers are frequently confused on how to ring things up or get errors. When I ask questions about policies I get different answers depending on the staff. Makes it impossible to get info on things. They obviously have very little training, and are overwhelmed by the volume of customers. I've also had an incident where I got through the register only to find I was overcharged by $32. I was told that I needed to go wait in the line all over again at customer service, with my groceries and other items in tow. By the time I got home all my food was defrosted and warm. As someone who has lived in the area of a 24 hour supercenter, this locations hours are frustrating. Its standard Walmart fare, but a few things about it make me want to check out othet stores. First, the groceries are overpriced, and with roach brothers and market basket right around the corner, there is no reason to come here for food. The health center has a pharmacy inside, but has a lack of good supplements. Employees are friendly but are not the most knowlageable about their stock. The new self check out area is nice, but ive expierenced glitches with the payment system, and had to call for assistance to avoid being overcharged. The saving grace is that there is a subway sandwich store inside. The tables are high so you can have a sweet sub and watch strange people mill about the store. Two stars. read more

By far the worst customer service experience I've ever experienced. As someone who used to work in retail I try to be very understanding of employees and their demeanors but today's behavior is the top appalling now to report. I recently went into Walmart to purchase items that would help complement other household items I'd bought either that day. I just moved into my apartment and have quite a bit of decorating to go. With that said. I purchased a shower curtain from Big Lots and used this to color match all the other items I bought in Walmart (shower rug, bedding, etc). Once at the self check out I began scanning all of my items when an older, Hispanic women approached me and began shouting about my big lots bag and trying to grab it out of my cart. I was very confused and asked her to please stop and told her what the ONE item in the bag was (mind you it said big lots on the shower curtain and there was a receipt from twenty minutes earlier when it had been purchased). All this to say I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed and I would have understood if this check took place while exiting the store but not while scanning my items. It's a violated of customer - store respect and I will never shop at another Walmart or at least not this one, again. Do not go here unless you want to be disrespected. read more

Shopped and was pleased when I was able to check-off everything on my list. Upon check-out ONE PERSON to check you out. Self check-out had 25 people in line. We had 3 people ahead of us. Waiting 1/2 hour in line, once it was our turn cashier told us I AM CLOSED. I said you can't close you are the only one open. Where is the manager I asked. He said he went home. There were now 8 people behind me. Once again we waited and I said I am not leaving this line until I speak with a manager. Again there is no manager in the store. Light is off at check-out. It is 7pm and basically we are being told SORRY YOU CANNOT purchase your items. I went over to the return counter and there were 2 people standing there with nothing to do. Racist Walmart, Tewksbury, MA I have been comeing to this walmart many times, because its close to home. They have a thing against Black, Mexican, and Asian comeing in there store. I would see many time that the alarm would go off, when a person who is Black, Mexican or Asian of color walking by the Entrance. I have seen it so many time, that it have become a norm. I can tell that there are targeting people of there Color, Ethnicity, and Look. Its a practice that Tewksbury, MA Walmart have been doing for some time now. Totally have to update my review just for the pharmacy alone! My boyfriend split open his eyebrow at work two days before a snowstorm and refused to get stitches when he really needed to! Of course, in the middle of blizzard we ended up running to Walmart and and talking to the Pharmacist and seeing what we could do and she was amazing! She helped him bigtime and it healed perfect! Literally created an account for the sole purpose of giving this place the worst rating possible. Called to check on an order, was kept on hold for about ten minutes then sent around to different departments (none of them the correct one!) by a lady who was apparently distracted as she was busy yelling at what sounded like a small child. Finally landed at the photo department (again, not even close to where I should be!) where the man who answered promptly hung up on me. After calling back, I was actually directed to the customer service desk (success!) only to be told by a disinterested sounding young lady that they were busy and to maybe call 1-800-WalMart before I could even explain what the purpose of my call was. If a Wal-Mart has better avocados than Market Basket then its an automatic 5 star for me. They have a huge food market section which looks better than most supermarkets in Lowell. Anything you want, they have. I walked through the other section of the store and all the employees were in full speed restocking and reorganizing (it was very late at night). The Tewksbury Walmart is close and convenient for me. It's much cleaner and organized as compared to the one at the Loop, and the one in Chelmsford. Most of the cashier staff speak good English when compared to the others. The meat and produce is not that great, but you can get tasty sweet bananas for 39¢ a pound as of December 2013. I also like the layout of the store, and can find items without much difficulty. For a Wally World, I like it. read more

Honestly, the best Walmart in the area when you compare it to the Chelmsford and Reading stores. The place is always clean, pretty well stocked and the staff knows what they are doing. THIS STORE SUCKS! Some cashiers are friendly but never enough working at the register's. If your at a register and they call for help, it could be a 15 minute wait. I came here on Saturday night to make a return. Originally I had went to the Lowell Walmart to return, but they were closed. An employee outside mentioned the Tewksbury location was open until midnight. I came to this location only to find that the customer service desk had closed at 10pm. It was now 10:30pm. The customer service manager Matthew was kind enough to open a register and take my return. On top of that my return ended up taking longer than anticipated because it was an online order. Matthew was so helpful and patient with me. I live in Acton, so I had a far drive and it would have been a huge inconvenience to have to come back another day. The customer service was top notch and I think that whenever someone goes out of their way to help you it shouldn't go unnoticed. Thank you to Walmart Customer Service. Well before you read this you need to know that Batman's my favorite super hero of all time and I was at Walmart and they had a banner saying Batman was gonna be there like a week later, so me and my fam was like oh shit, this is a once in a lifetime experience we gotta be there, so obviously, like anyone else would I took the next week off work until the big day (keep in mind this is very hard for me as I am a non-local high school principal) anyway I just sat on my computer doing as much research on the man as I could so I could impress him with my small talk and knowledge on his past.
