It is 2026 and we managed to find the only Wal-Mart to ever refuse my wife and I from getting change for a dollar. That's right. 4 quarters in exchange for a dollar bill. While buying more than $20 in merchandise, my wife simply asked the cashier if she could get 4 quarters for a dollar, in order to buy something from gumball machines inside the store by the entrance. The cashier looked at her like she was an alien and said she did not believe she could do that. We shook our heads in disbelief and went to the customer service counter to ask them for change. The ladies there were older and one seemed like some kind of manager. We were sure this would work. We asked and one of the ladies actually said, "We are not allowed to do that." I am going back to this location at some point just to get the contact info on the gumball machines to let the owners of those machines know that the store refuses to give change out for customers to use in their machines. If you only went for needed supplies this store is fine. But if you really need change for a dollar, not a roll, not several dollars, but for one dollar, they will not help. Random!! This Walmart located at 1650 W Valencia is probably one of the worse run Walmart stores... Unlike other Walmart stores, the associates are not friendly and really don't know where any thing is located if you ask for assistance. The produce department is always disappointing with items being wilted or dried up or just not in stock. Can items such as vegetables,dog food cans and etc are frequently dented , and the associate states thats how they receive them from the truck. The only negative comment I have always had, is lack of availability of the electric carts. The only Walmart who does an incredible job of maintaining these carts is the Neighborhood store on Old Denton. Not having carts available for those with mobility issues greatly determines if those who need these carts will continue to shop. Did enjoy using the self Serve check out twice that we went. The ladies were very friendly & funny! She kept eyeballing my ice cream I had forgotten and had ran back to get! Salted Caramel!! My sister and I ordered $75.00 in groceries from this store. We are in our seventies and have a food budget. I got a delivery notification and it took me about 15 seconds to get to the door. No delivery, no driver. I did receive a picture of the items we ordered with no apartment number. This is a large complex and all doors are the same except I noticed subtle differences which confirmed that this was not our door. I immediately called Walmart customer service and after speaking with them five different times I received two emails explaining that they accepted the proof of delivery, that there would be no refund, and if we wanted our money back we should file a dispute with our bank. I believe one of two things happened. The driver left our order at the wrong apartment or that driver dropped items in some doorway, took a picture without the apartment number and then stole the items. I don't know but Walmart should never accept proof of delivery without an apartment number. I am not mentioning the carrier because I have no idea if this driver is a thief. In Tucson, you do not take anything from anyone's doorway but your own. You might get hurt or killed. I am letting people know that Walmart will not refund your undelivered items and you will be extorted out of your money. So buyer beware. I will never do this again. Walmart will not believe you and you are in the end, treated as though you are the thief and a liar. I will attempt to file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's office naming Walmart and this carrier. It's all I can do except to warn people. read more

Just came from the automotive department and I'd give them minus stars if I could. We needed a tire repaired. A brand new tire that just had a small leak. First the guys looked at it and said sure they could fix it. Almost an hour later they decide we need a new tire. Not knowing that my husband is actually a mechanic they gave him some crap about how the tire is worn and we should replace it. When he said no and they realized he knows what he's talking about they changed their tune and said they would fix it. Another 15 minites go by and now they say their machine is busted and they can't fix it at all! So I said, it just broke right now? He said, nope it broke yesterday. So they had us sitting there for an hour knowing full well they couldn't help us. Now it's 5:50pm and too late to go anywhere else. I wouldn't trust these idiots to check the air in my tires let alone fix anything! read more

Vision Center would not fix my glasses I bought less than 6 months ago. They said I'd have to buy new frames for $80 instead. I was told if I had bought a warranty then they could fix them. I told them I was never offered a warranty to begin with! I only wear them to read and drive and take good care of my glasses. After all I spent over $200 out of pocket because I don't have vision insurance. I guess I'll just have to super glue them to keep the right arm from falling off. Real classy, Wal-Mart. Be aware of the vision center in this store. It is not a walmart vision center and there is nothing to indicate that it is not. It is the only one in the Tucson area that leases their space to a private contractor. If you have your eyes examined here and then try to purchase glasses you will be surprised. Bifocal lenses alone will cost about 360.00 dollars or more. A true walmart vision center will have lenses, frames the works for about $200.00. If you bring this up they will give you the prescription and tell you to take it somewhere else. The problem is; Now they do not have to stand behind it and a walmart vision center will not stand behind it because it was not their prescripion. Bad Bad choice to stop here. read more

This year this location was very organized- first time i saw managers on the floor with their staff. all registers were open and it jsut seemed to flow together very well. They knew where things were they had baricades up and lines going on for each department. everyone was in a good mood and ready to help. I was impressed with this location. keep this up the whole year round.... Shoppers on the other hand will never change- they are so rude and inconciderate. i reeeally dislike this day but the sales are good. my sister and i went to this for the first time in years due to the past horrible experiences and we had some laughs, probably wont do this again next year and we will wait for a few years to have this happen again good job walmart- make sure the employees know how awesome they did. thanks read more

This store is dangerous and the managers don't care about customers. They are rude and disrespectful. The treatment isn't worth the lower prices on some of the items. Apparently they lock the entrance by the salon at ten. They don't put a sign on the doors or block them so you don't know they're not going to open till you're right up to them. When I got to the store it was raining, so I parked by the entrance that had what I was looking for. I was forced to walk farther in the rain back to my csr because they locked the doors in the ten minutes I was looking around. My daughter was with me. Because I'm a single parent I had to bring her with me, after she just got over a cold. I walked to my car in cold rain without my jacket so my daughter could put my jacket over hers. I called the customer assistance phone number. The person I spoke to was dismissive of my complaint and concerns. I do not plan to shop at that store again. Even if I have to pay more. read more

The employee was busy talking to her coworker, who was busy stuffing her face. I was really disappointed with the staff and management in customer services. I needed someone to help me find out if the "boy" colored infant carseat/stroller system that I was wanting to exchange for the exact same "girl" colored travel system was available at ANY other location in tucson and I was willing to go exchange it at the location that they would have it. After I explained to the the costumer service manager, Marisol what I needed she pawned us off to another employee that was from a different department. Diana, had lots of patience and checked at every store to see if the travel system was available. Halfway through helping us Diana was told by a cashier that Marisol said to stop assisting us in calling and go back to her department. Diana told the cashier that she was not going to stop with the help and continued. Unfortunately after about 2 hours of waiting and her helping with calling store to store Diana told me that none of the stores in tucson had it available. At that point Marisol returned to the costumer service department and we asked if there was anyway there could be a discount for a different "girl" colored travel system that offered all the same features as the system we desired originally. Marisol was very rude and said that there was nothing she could do for us about the situation and when we asked to speak to an all store manager not only did she call the manager over the radio speaking in Spanish saying that she already told us there's nothing that could be done, her whole demeanor was almost as if she was annoyed that we were asking for further assistance. We waited another 15-20 minutes for the all store manager Oscar, again on top of the 2 hours we had already been at this location and explained to him the situation and he reacted as if he did not want to help. When he realized that no store in tucson carried the "girl" colored travel system we wanted to exchange he then agreed to let us get a DIFFERENT girl colored system that was 10-15$ difference and cover that amount due to the inconvenience of the situation. When we went to grab the different system only the display was available. Marisol told us to get a different one around the same the same price point with the same features and for an infant girl. When we selected the different system Marisol agreed to cover the difference ($5) but when she asked the all store manager to confirm the exchange he declined even after they both said that they will cover the difference. Due to this HUGE inconvenience and unprofessionalism I will never go to this Walmart ever again. What a nightmare. read more

This WalMart must pride itself on poor customer service because that is all I have ever gotten from this store. The management will not address its employees when they get complaints about either the behavior of employees or a store issue. My small child and I were leaving the store about 7 pm one night and we were literally knocked down by a shoplifter Walmart employees were chasing, since they have to stop at the sidewalk he kept going and knocked us both down right outside the front doors, I was bleeding and had a hole ripped in my pants and my son was terrified, the manager we spoke to about it did absolutely nothing to make me feel safe about coming back to that store. There is constant panhandling going on in the parking lot and I've more than once seen people scoping out cars to break into in the far end of the lot because this Walmart has no security in it's vast parking lot. Most of the shopping population here is Hispanic and a lot of Sonorans so be prepared for long lines, 2 registers to be open, disorganization within a trashed store. They also for some reason keep their seasonal merchandise in two different places of the store. I know it is to get you to walk through the whole store and buy more (hopefully) but when you just need a quick valentine gift it's irritating to have to search two whole sections. Get it together WalMart management, start holding your employees accountable for their actions and clean up your parking lot! read more

My mother retired from Walmart in a different state. But when she moved out to Tucson she she still loved her Walmart. She made the pharmacy at Valencia her pharmacy. Because we had to go there so regularly, we all decided to make it ours as well. A month or or so ago, my daughter got a strange call about them dispensing her the wrong medication and that she should see her doctor immediately. The prescription was for birth control. They said it was the wrong one. They said it was expired. When my daughter went to speak with the pharmacist, he said that she should get blood work done and he would pay for it. He said he would give her a free pregnancy test and he slid a stack of 5$ gift cards at her. It was all very below board. He would not put anything in writing and the idea that 50$ in gift cards was a even exchange for this error was underhanded and arrogant. He told her that the individual who made the mistake had been fired. But the biggest concern my daughter had was this "mistake" happened almost a month before the phone call. Thankfully her doctor took the matter very seriously and told her to come in immediately. The good news is her blood results were all normal. If she had been pregnant, we would have a new family member. Unplanned. But that happens. My main concern was her health. It seemed the Walmart pharmacist just cared about his job. Imagine thinking he could buy her off for $50 in Walmart gift cards. read more
