My experience here was disappointing. While shopping with my son, he reached toward a dinosaur toy an employee told him not to touch it because it might break. I was standing nearby and was surprised by how the situation was handled. The employs made the comment and the walked away without much explanation. We ended up purchasing a few items, but the interaction left a negative impression and made the store feel less welcoming than I expected. Please train workers better. read more

If you go to this location make sure it's early in the morning so you won't have to circle for parking and the store gets crowded. The good parts wide selection of items the prices are reasonable. The parts that are not great sometimes they run out of items it depends when they have a shipment coming in. They always have long lines at check out and at one point they didn't have paper bags to purchase. There have been times the registers shut down and the whole store was only accepting credit card payments. read more

This place is horrible. Severely over crowded with people & workers making everyone clear the aisles just to bring through pallets of items. Why can't they do this after hours? This review is for Toywiz, third party seller from Walmart, and Walmart.com All my daughter wanted for the holiday was a suitcase of the LOL Surprise Dolls. No one had it in stock. However, Walmart had 1 suitcase left, sold through the third party, Toywiz. It looked like it was repackaged but I did not think that would be the case with something purchased through Walmart so I let my hunch go. Imagine how devastated my daughter was when she opened the dolls and one was missing her shoes and another was missing bracelets. I reached out to Walmart who said that they would reach out to the seller on my behalf. I also reached out to the seller. The seller stated that the pieces are not guaranteed but rather this is part of the "surprise." Now, that is LOL! I reached out to the manufacturer who said all pieces should be there and did not have replacement pieces in stock. I reached back out to Walmart and spoke with Rhea who told me I could keep the product AND receive a full refund. When I did not receive any notice, I called Walmart back and spoke with Louis who said he would escalate my issue. I am still waiting for a response and will update this review once I receive one. TERRIBLE JUST TERRIBLE!!! Words cannot explain describe how bad my shopping experience was. I shop at many stores but they were never this unorganized. The aisles were a mess, items were on the floor, the line was very long and wasn't organized like there was no proper line form, nobody knew what cashier desk to go to. There was barely any staff on the floor to help me find what I was looking for and while I was checking out. Finally when I get to checkout, the machines starts to have issues. I rarely review, let alone shop, at big box stores.. but I found such a good deal on a few items here that I couldn't locate anywhere else this week and couldn't resist. I was in dire need of a usb-c to hdmi cable for my home office's external monitor and all the other stores either had them at either 2x the price or simply didn't have the one I wanted in-stock. In an addition to the hdmi slot, this particular unit they had also has a micro + macro sd card slot, two USB 2.0 slots and one USB 3.0 slots.. for only about $28! While there, the sweet score put me in such a good mood that I ended up browsing the aisles in search of random camping supplies (cold weather camping is my new obsession). I quickly spotted the one remaining portable Coleman Camping Stove and purchased it at the incredibly cheap price of only $24 (plus a butane can for only $3.xx). In my limited experience of shopping at Walmart, I suggest going towards closing time to avoid the long lines at self-checkout. read more

I swear every time you come here no matter what time of day would day of the week what time of day, it is purest form of chaos. You might be able to find some really unique things that are only sold in Walmart stores, but it is truly a is truly a gamble. I'm disappointed in my experience ordering a custom cake from the Valley Stream Walmart bakery. It was my first time ordering a cake from Walmart and I was excited to pick up my order at the requested time. I drove 30 minutes from my home and as I pulled into the parking lot, 15 minutes before the pickup time, I received a voicemail that they were running behind and my order wouldn't be ready for another 2 hours. What did they expect me to do for the next 2 hours? I went to the bakery department, cancelled my order, and left. To be told 15 minutes prior to the pickup time that I will have to wait another 2 hours is unacceptable. I don't live anywhere near this store. I love Walmart stores for their prices and abundant parking spaces but eh this location is terrible during the days and weekends. I would never recommend anyone to go here during the day and weekend as the lines are all the way to the back of the store or outside the door. Compared to other locations I have been to this probably rates the lowest due to lack of professionalism. The best time to go when it's like 2-3 hours before closing time. Recently made the mistake of going midday for holiday lights and tell me how there's barely any space to really walk around without bumping into people. The employees are rude and definitely lack proper customer service skills. There's a separate section for holiday decor that is located adjacent to Home and Pharmacy entrance. This location would be considered a Supercenter as they have a section for groceries as well. Their veggies look fresh the few times I have been here. There's a self checkout area as well right by the customer service area. Beside the ridiculous number of customers and rude employees this place actually has mainly everything you may need. When I returned home my fiancé turned on tv and it was NOT WORKING. What so ever. So we say ok no problem we will just bring it back for a refund and just go else where. Today my fiancé goes to the Walmart and explain to them the situation, my fiancé was treated like he was a criminal trying to do something funny. The associate ran the bar code for the tv and it didn't match the serial number on the box. So now at this point we are upset!!! Because how do we buy a tv that doesn't even match the tv in the box. She called her supervisor, who then called the manager, who then called someone above him!!!! And still no help after being their for over an hour. Not only did I lose out on my tv I lost out on 540.00. I decided to call Walmart and see if I can still receive help I had called 17 before getting a answer. When the young man answered he said "yea". It caught me off gaurd but I proceed to ask him for a manager. He then responds " let me get you to a customer person". I ask him but who am I speaking to no I dialed the right number for the dept He tells me " a person who answered the phone duhh" and hung up in my face !!!! I'm so upset !!!!!!!!!! I want to know why my orders do not come in bags. This is the third time a driver has made me unpack my groceries at the door, because the Valley Stream store did not provide him with bags. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND I NEED A SUPERVISOR TO CONTACT ME AND EXPLAIN. The delivery is not free, if we pay for it, we should get bags. Todays driver wanted me to come downstairs with my cart so he could bring my items to my door. I do not know if it is just the Valley Stream store or if this is your policy, but shoppers who pay for delivery should be provided with paper bags. I have filed several complaints with Customer Service, however it is still happening. read more

Experience: This is the closest Walmart to home. I came here to pick up a Visa gift card as well as some Valentine's day goodies. Their shampoo section is very poorly laid out. There's a cash register in that section, completely blocking off access to the main walkway, which creates a lot of unnecessary traffic in that small space. I learned that the self-checkout line doesn't allow you to buy Visa gift cards. The lady who was supposed to be managing that section was really rude about it. I got on another line, which took another 20-25 minutes. The person working the regsiter wasn't paying attention to the one item I had and kept running it into the belt. When I pointed at the item, they gave me an attitude and were like "THATS IT?". Yes, I didn't want to get on line again for this one item, but here we are. Another day that I went, it was around 10pm, I thought there'd be less people, and there was, but it was much more chaotic. The security man was screaming at some customers for a spilled smoothie drink. The person who was supposed to make the place feel safer made it feel worse. Its also harder to get around with a cart at night because that's when everything is being restocked. Makes sense. The only well organized part of this store is the returns section. There is now a line directly to the right hand side of the entrance for that. Haven't had much luck with these downstate Walmarts. Both this one and the Roosevelt Field location are pretty chaotic. This is the second time i ever been to walmart. I been to the one in long Island one time now this one.. But i was curious about where my online orders come from since i live in the city and there is no walmart here besides this one Let me start off by saying it isnt as bad as social media makes it seem.. but even though this walmart is big its still kinda crowded. I appreciate that Walmart Supercenter is located on the same strip as HomeGoods and Five Below, making it a convenient spot to stop by while shopping. I also liked the self-checkout option, which allowed me to quickly complete my purchase and leave the store. We visited this location specifically to purchase an air mattress that was listed in stock. This location is far from my parents as well. The parking lot is filled with trash disgustingly disregarded by lazy mofos. This store is massive. I think it was the biggest Walmart I have ever been to. There were way too many staff members and customers. There were pallets of merchandise blocking every aisle we walked through and only allowed for single file to walk. It took us a good 10 minutes to locate the air mattresses. They were located in the bedding section and the sporting section. Of course they did not have what we wanted, even though the website listed it as in stock. We chose a different one and tried to leave. The lines were ridiculous. It was a weeknight. Not surrounding Christmas or Easter. I am not sure if the website was not updated or the staff in the store did not put out the item we wanted but we did not even locate the tag on a shelf. We picked up some beer, butter, and other miscellaneous items as well. I was pissed because when we were leaving, I was trying to find anything diet to drink and could not find anything. Today I experienced the rudest sales representative in my life. Went to purchase a tv and car charger . Took the to the cashier to pay. Politely asked the female sales rep for the price. She rudely told me that the price was on the shelf . I once again politely said that it wasn't there and she , even more rudely, told me that the price was there because another previous customer had asked prior. All I wanted to do was purchase a tv but the sales representative wanted to argue instead. My wife got annoyed and asked to speak to the manager. She calls him over and the manager comes over and said that he was close by , had heard the conversation and the sales representative was correct . This is when I got mad. No wonder your employees don't want to work if you have a gutless manager that won't hold a rude employee accountable for their actions. He said, well you can look. Are you kidding me??!!! Absolute WORST customer service I've ever come across!! When I was in California, or anywhere else, I try and talk Wal-Mart up, because it has a bad reputation for being TRASH! But I order things from Walmart often and typically don't have a bad experience! BUT I will NEVER EVER come back to this Wal-Mart EVER again. And those employees need to be reprimanded and retrained!
