Surprisingly clean and well organized with well trained staff and smart location however the Insane price gouging relevant to the abysmal pay for employees working a stressful job, this corporation has zero awareness of simple quality business metrics that demand promoting a healthy living wage and benefits. The obnoxious record profits and big bonuses paid to the top brass while claiming the hikes on prices are due to inflation has to be one of the greatest scams to Americans. Horrendous customer service! The self-checkout lane I used was extremely hard to hear when something rang up. I ended up missing ringing up an item at first but immediately rang it up again making sure it went through. I finished up my purchase and at the front door I was stopped by Alleyna. First of all, she did not identify herself as a Walmart employee, no visible vest or name tag. Secondly, she stopped me and only me by blocking my exit from the store and asking for my receipt. I complied and she checked everything and said "ok". No apology, no have a good day, no reason to why she only stopped me! If something comes up as not scanned at self-checkout then maybe they should double check it before they harass paying customers at their exit. read more

I am very disappointed with the policies of this store. I'm out $75 because of this seemingly newer policy. I purchased a coffee pot for $50, on sale from $70. After two weeks, it just stopped working. Nothing I did helped. I couldn't find my receipt but the statement on the wall says that Walmart accepts returns without a receipt. Prior to going to the store I called, explained and asked if I could still return it. She said "most definitely". I even asked her if I could use a box from the shelf as a reference for her. She said "yes". However, the service desk staff asked if I had the box which I did not have and I was told I couldn't return it or exchange it. The item is back to the $70 and I guess I could have been shady and said I paid the $70, but I did not, of course. Prior to this incident, I was not allowed to return another item for $25 BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE THE BOX. So I'm out $75 which is significant to me. I'm older and live alone on a fixed income. During this inflation period and previous pandemic, big box corporations have increased their profits ranging from 56% to 450%. That takes into consideration their own shipping expenses etc. This overwhelming profit is that, PROFIT. I constantly find errors with the checkout and, since it is minimal, I haven't brought it to their attention and absorbed their mistake. Another incident that happened at the checkout was truly frustrating. I wasn't out any money from the Walmart mistake, but it caused a ripple effect and cost me approximately $100. It's a long story, but Wendy was at the checkout telling me she was new etc. She was very pleasant but when I left I had been mistakenly charged $79 on my credit card. Walmart said it would be 24 to 48 hours before the amount was applied to my card. Then 72 hours. Then 5 to 10 days. It was 28 days before that was returned. It was a frustrating and exasperating experience. I will never use any card there again. Have had some problems with my debit card and other credit cards but never this bad. Another thing I have noticed and dislike is the practice of no longer selling/supplying brand name items and replacing them with all Equate or Walmart brands. I'm in Kankakee very frequently and with do my shopping at Meijer's or elsewhere in K3 and at Berkot's in Watseka. read more

I am extremely disappointed with what their doin with this new remodel. They took out all but 4 regular registers and all the rest are that self checkout crap. The last 4 times I've gone in there they had only self checkout available. I'm sorry I don't work at Walmart and don't need to be doin that myself. Next time I was in and only self checkout is open I'll just walk out and go to Berkots. Speaking of was talkin to another guy there and he said the same, that'll he'll go to Berkots for groceries. We went there with baby stuff to exchange for different baby stuff. They would not exchange it because it was not bought at their Walmart and i didnt bring my receipt with. Tbey claimed tbe products I brought to exchange hadnt been purchased in their store in over 30 days is the reason they cannot exchange. Tbey were quite matter of factly and rude as well! read more

Wendy at the customer service counter was busy working on something and seemed a bit stressed at first. She looked up and asked if she could help me. My response was, "Gee I hope so." as a smile slipped across my face. She was able to make 4 gift cards for me quickly and without a hitch. We ended up discussing gel nails (and hers were gorgeous) and chatting briefly. I left with a smile on my face and she waved after me with a smile on her face. Nice work Wendy!! read more

HAD A SUBSCRIPTION AT THIS STORE FOR 5 YEARS, HAD A FRIEND PICK IT UP AFTER THEM TELLING ME IT WOULD BE READY IN 20 MINUTES AND IT WAS NOT, 2 DAYS LATER THEY ONLY HAVE PART OF IT, SAID COME BACK IN A FEW DAYS. WHEN FRIEND BROUGHT IT TO ME IS WAS ALARMED THEY FILLED IT COMPLETELY WRONG. Instead of the $5 large sized tube they filled it with a bunch of tiny sample size tubes that they billed me $20 for. Called them the lady that answered was rude and said since the subscription left the store it can not be returned. It is there mistake they should own up to it and correct it. no longer will sue walmart even if they give $2 subscriptions worst experience i have ever had. at least in the past they corrected them. have arthis really bad in my hands so i cant even use these little tiny tubes, throw the $20 in the garbage. As a frequent customer, I was very disappointed with the service my mother recently received. When she was checking out, there was a mishap where a couple of items from a gentleman behind her got mixed with her items. The cashier took off two of the items but forgot to take off the beer. The man left and the cashier referred my mom to the customer service desk. Once there, the customer service representative was extremely rude and unprofessional. She convicted my mom of stealing and treated her very poorly. This is not the first time as this same woman has treated my aunt very unfairly.
