a display of apples and oranges

This was one of those let me stop and grab some stuff. We dropped in here to pick up some desserts for a family gathering on a Tuesday night. The first thing I noticed is that they had an abundance of handicapped buggies. A+ for that. The second thing I noticed is that the store was empty. There was no hogging up the tomatoes or the apples. There was no saying excuse me or pardon me. It was nice to be able to have virtually the whole store and every aisle almost to yourself. I know that may not be good for the store, but it was good for me that night. Whenever I go to a Walmart in a different city I always go to their home goods, home decor that type of thing. This store did not fail. If I had been in a car traveling I would have grabbed a ton of stuff, but I flew this time. I did however grab some some necessities, wax melts, just little things that I can throw in my suitcase. Everything was pleasant in this store. I have no complaints.

I am writing this review for the vacuum packed $5.00 hoagies... um no, just no! Why even sell something so horrendous? I am certain nobody is buying these sandwiches.... I actually like this Walmart, people watching makes it great. It's a Walmart, a super center with droid and pet supplies and a solid outdoor area. If you need a hoagie there are much better options nearby!

Crazy long line in Walmart! (This is the line behind me)

I really want to give this Walmart more stars, but they have gone to a new low! First off, this is my go to Walmart! I drive right pass the one near me to go to this one. Love that they are open 24 hours and have great prices, but they don't give a crap about their long lines and customer service. I think that the staff is under paid and over worked and they just don't hire enough people to fill each shift. It's a management issue that need serious attention! I didn't count how many registers they have (at least 12-15) plus self check-out, but on a Saturday afternoon there is no excuse for only 3 lines being open. Even the self check-out was extremely long! Everybody was standing in line so long, we all got to know each other. It was over 45 minutes :( This is not the first time this has happened, and surely won't be the last. I'm on the lookout for another go to store. Hmmm! Maybe Target :/ I do want to give a shout out to Jada the cashier that was being overworked! She was very pleasant, and understanding of the crazy situation. She spoke to each customer and did her job with great precision. ( That lady needs a raise! ) Not saying I won't be back, but will leave whenever I see crazy lines like this again.

Obnoxious Walmart worker standing around doing absolutely nothing!

I was livid... the manager said since I didn't have the actual receipt (it was a gift) it probably went on sale for a day and that was the price they would give me - a little over 1 tenth of the list price. After spending tens of thousands of dollars there over the years (I have 3 children who helped) this was the treatment they give their solid customers. What gall! They probably do that with everything - day after Christmas they put everything on sale for 25% of the price for a morning so they can screw all their customers with returns. After this blatant rip off, I would never go back to Macy's - ever.

I understand having the sales person work the entire island but they are being set up for failure when you have the volume of customers you get four days before Christmas, walking up to both sides of the counter and demanding immediate service. We waited 40 minutes as two people we watched walk up to the other side of the counter (while we were already in line) demanded that they were next and made the poor sales woman ring them up for several transactions- all the while the line on our side was growing past the three people who had already been in line. Macy's- I know you are a failing company at this point. But please do both your sales people and customers a favor and get some organization going. Literally all you needed was a sign on one side saying to go to the other side for service while there is only one person working the counter.

We mentioned a couple of our go-to colognes and what else we were looking for, and the associate had us smell a couple of other fragrances. My friend wanted to have the associate spray one cologne on my friend's skin just to see how the notes come off, and the associate did so. However, the sales associate had a very unwelcoming demeanor from the beginning. We lingered for some time but couldn't decide on one to buy, and since we had a prior appointment at a suit store, we told the associate that we would come back. After some time, we barely took 20 steps out of the store when a security personnel from the store called out to us, asking us to return a tester. We initially thought he was talking about the test strips (we took a few with us that the associate had given us separately). When we offered those to the security, he said that he was looking for a tester bottle that we took with us. We were quite surprised because we didn't take any, and I pulled out my hand sanitizer out of my pocket to show to the security in case we thought that was a tester. The security guy then said something like "nevermind" and left. We stood outside the store looking back at security wondering what just happened. We went to the suit store and then went back to Bloomingdales and confronted the security personnel. He said that he was given the wrong description. When we said that it was quite disrespectful to accuse someone without making sure they are the correct person, security just said that it's okay. They did not apologize for their behavior, and because we are people of color, we felt we were violated and subject to profiling and racism. We asked to speak to their manager but the security personnel said that they were not available and we could file a complaint online, which we later did (we also got his name - Tony). We again mentioned that it is not okay to wrongly accuse anyone of theft without any evidence but security pretty much shrugged and again said that it was okay. Because the security personnel said someone had put them to this task, we had a feeling it was the sales associate since we only interacted with them during our brief time in the store. We are not sure what kind of training anyone at the store gets or how their hiring process is but it's quite pathetic, to put it mildly. We have frequented KOP mall and stores like YSL, Louis Vuitton, Creed, and never have we ever had such poor quality service, or were made to feel this uncomfortable, or had anyone behave this unprofessionally.

The mall is three stories and anchored by Macy's and Bloomingdale's, along with various other stores in two re-developed anchors. The interior is very nice and clean. The available stores, for being in what is considered an upper tier mall, are just ok with a lot of stores you can find in most other malls. There's also more vacancies, local stores, and temporary stores then you would expect, to the point they would add up to about a whole floor. Tilted 10 as an arcade is just ok, but not as impressive as a Round1, with both being expensive. Primark's not bad as a clothing option. Willow Grove does have an outstanding food court that was very busy during my visit. You basically couldn't get near Chick-fil-A with the line they had. They also have The Cheesecake Factory in one of the re-developed anchors. I explained to him I am using a reusable shopping bag and I am still shopping. Once done I will pay for my items. He replied "this is what management is saying and we do not use those bags we have the carts or our shopping bags." I replied I was not aware that I could not use my own bag to hold my items and transferred my items to a Primark bag. After this unpleasant encounter I made my way to the register.
