I have always hated Walmart! I now have an additional reason. They're expanding their stores and making the aisles smaller. Oh and let's not forget the poorly location of some genius who decided to put the fitting room smack in the middle of the aisle; I damn near got hit by the door; I can't blame that on a customer because he/she doesn't know I or anyone else that it could happen to know that I or anyone else just happened to walk by! This is our go to Walmart, the only one in Yuba City. We spend A-LOT of money at this store probably like most of us. My most recent customer service experience was lacking friendliness, and respect. My husband over purchased the stuffing mix I needed for our Thanksgiving dinner by 4 bags. I went back to the store to return them not knowing UN opened dry goods are not returnable. The staff member, (her name is Balwinder) who assisted me with my return was rude and condescending by asking "why are you returning food, we can't re-sell it"?! She tore open each bag and set them aside. I was refunded the money, but not without a bit of a fuse. read more

Every time I visit this location in Yuba City, I am always blown away by the hospitality and friendliness of the staff. It really does make a difference, turning a not-so-incredible shopping experience into an extra-incredible one at Walmart. There was a item that was not available and a little confusion on another item that was bagged incorrectly at the store but LT Phan made a phone call to confirm the order and helped us resolve an issue that was not his fault. purchased 35 inch tires for a truck we were giving our son, he came from Utah and was going to drive the truck back. When we dropped the truck off they told us that they might not be able to balance the tires due to the size. When we picked the truck up they said they were able to balance. While my son was driving back to Utah the truck started shaking in Reno. I called Walmart and talked to Tony, he said they never were able to balance and he was sorry that we were misinformed.....someone should have told us that they were never balanced..... It has gotten down right ridiculous how much is locked up now. Socks, SOCKS. You have to track down an associate which is almost impossible to open a locked case to get socks. I appreciate that this branch is here. They have everything that you could possibly need and more. While there is quite a bit of traffic, both car and foot, there is way more than enough parking and way more than enough space to park far away so you don't scratch anyone else's car. The area is fairly clean with workers that are competent and knowledgeable. I especially appreciate when someone doesn't know an answer to something and they go out of their way to find it. This was not the case when I called in to ask for specific products. I was very specific with who I spoke to on the phone And when they went to check with whomever it was they checked with, and only a few minutes they came back on the line and told me that they do not carry that product. Google and other sources suggested otherwise so I made the trip over to Walmart and I found exactly what I was looking for. I think it is reasonable to train those who are on the phone to know where things are And to not be ashamed of asking to have someone repeat something. While it is not a large trek to go out towards Walmart, the purpose of having people answer the phone is to be able to help people like me plan out routes and times to get errands completed before the day ends. I highly suggest that those who are working telephone customer service be trained on or be aware of the best way to find items. The workers in the store were helpful and seem to run the store fairly well. Some of them looked a little weary and I hope they find a good rest. read more

If I can give zero stars I would! Some of these associates are profiling customer due to race! I was like the only black customer in the cosmetics aisle getting less than 20 dollars worth of items and mind you there was no Cashier there and a few non black customers left with items out the area but soon as I was gonna leave. I was stopped and was told I had to pay for my items in the area! I asked why and why other customers wasn't stopped. She was like she doesn't know but it was store policy. This is the worst Walmart location. The employees are extremely rude. They had a bunch of angry customers leave the store because they were "closed" and we were asked to leave due to closing in the most rudest way ever. One lady had such an awful attitude towards customers when telling them to leave. I hope they see this and take some action because that's no way to treat a customer especially the ones who were in line and being asked to leave things and get out. There was people outside standing so mad because of how they were asked to leave their items and go home. First time shopping online from their app for Pick Up, was a little confusing sense it's not fully explained. Tried calling when I got home the night of and the next day in the morning but no answer. After 10 calls I decided to go to the store and call the number on the signs where you park which finally worked! You can substitute an item or cancel it and if it's unavailable they will refund you your money back after 3 days according to the guy I spoke to and orders get canceled after 3 days if not picked up. read more

Came here on Easter Day. Thank god Walmart saved my life. Grocery store is open. :) Upon walking in, I felt more welcomed. I had a greeter that wasn't bored at greeting me nor gave a fake smile. Even helped me get a cart to me since he was already putting some carts back into the store... Wished the store had more lighting though. It was a tid bit dark. I know they're being energy efficient and didn't purposely dimmed half the lights in the store. My only question is, why not invest on Solar Panels.!? Hmph! Most importantly. As I was completing my shopping, checking out was a breeze. Line wasn't as long on Easter day, but wait time is at least less than 5min wait, and all check out lanes was moving efficiently and not in a stand still like most days. Upset to have to have to change my review. After a long day of work I was looking at halloween stuff for a Halloween party coming up... I was taking a long time looking because I wanted the most perfect stuff. Suddenly some guy that was obviously working there as loss prevention or mngr starts coming around me acting like he was shopping and it was so obvious that he was watching me (a mixed race woman) to see if i was up to no good. I held my ground, I didn't say anything but I continued on shopping and tried to not let such actions affect me - The guys vibe was just aggressive and judgy and so obvious even making eye contact a few times. He looked a lot like Murr from impractical jokers. If this message gets to him I just want him to know that just because someone with brown skin is taking their time shopping doesn't mean they are stealing and what he did is considered racial profiling . Gotta vent about WalMart. They have us at their mercy as there are few options to buy clothes. The weather is warm, kids have grown and they need summer clothes. The kids can't go to the store and if they did they can't try stuff on as the dressing rooms are closed. So I have to guess as to what will fit figuring if it doesn't I'll go back and exchange for the right size. NOPE. Walmart is not accepting returns either. And, of course, customers are NOT informed that returns are not an option at the time of purchase. This is where Walmart has dropped the ball. This must be absolutely overwhelming for parents that don't have extra money available to be tied up in items waiting be returned. I bought a costume November 1st, I went to return it today fully packaged still with receipt and they still wouldn't accept a return. I'll be shopping on Amazon from now on. The custimer service is terrible!!! I wanted the Buldak ramen so I called them to see if it was in stock. They told me it is so I went in to pick it up, when i got there the noodles were no where to be seen. I finally asked someone for help and they told me they will check in the back room. Came back after 15-20 mins just to tell me their manager is on their break so it will take another 30 mins. I js gave up and came back home because why would you say it's in stock if it's not on the racks and why would they need to wait for the manager to get the noodles? Couldn't someone else get it?? This was a while ago, JUST NOW i called them again to ask and they didn't even know what I was talking about. It sounded like it was an old lady on the phone. I honestly don't get why walmart even hires ppl who can't understand how to do their job and what items r at the store. The lady just hang up on me for asking if they r in stock and because she didn't know what noodles I was talking about. If that was the case she should have asked some other employe too come talk to be. I will no longer be going to the store they were doing absolutely wonderful with making sure everyone has masks coming in along with their employees. now people are allowed in not wearing mask and their employees quite a few of them were stocking the shelves for pulling stuff off the shelves for people to pick up and are incorrectly wearing their mask and touching your food. don't feel safe to get my groceries there we typically spend $700 per visit at the store. I'll be giving my business to safer grocery stores. I hope others will do the same. Went in yesterday I saw 20 people not wearing masks and eight employees wearing their mass wrong. I have to say the one group I saw the most not wearing masks were actually children so sad to see parents wearing masks but not having their Child wearing a mask wiping their nose and going and touching butters. Worst customer service ever! I placed on online delivery order, which I do a few times a week. I got an email this morning saying something I ordered was out of stock, it was packing tape, I find this very unlikely. I called the 800 number on the bottom of the email they told me I needed to call the store directly since it was their mistake and didn't replace the item like requested. I called the stores online department the gentleman that I talked to was very nice and understanding. He was trying to fix the error the staff made but said he needed a managers approval. He transferred me to his manager and she was rude right off the bat. She just kept complaining about how they were 40 hours short on truck and how things weren't stocked when they were suppose to be. She did not try at all to help fix the error her employees made. She told me once they submit the order they can't make any changes, when it's their mistake and they did not fill the order correctly and the order hasn't even left the store yet this seems ridiculous. I'm paying for a service and I expect that service to be met. At the end of the day it's not my problem her truck was short staff and it's not my problem she has many orders to fill. They messed up on filling my order and they didn't even try to fix their mistake. I spend about $1000 a month if not more with Walmart delivery. The way I was talked to and treated I'll be cancelling my membership and taking it elsewhere. read more
