I ordered something online for pickup from Union City Walmart. The pickup area used to be in the back of the store, nice and safe, even near the restrooms just in case. Now, you have to figure out -for yourself- that it is actually outside in the parking lot at the -back- of the store, where it's dark and drug addicts, and other dangerous predators are wandering around because you guessed it, THERE ARE NO LIGHTS! a lot of rude people shop here, there are plenty of good people too, but there are just a LOT more very rude people. Expect to get cut off a lot here, normally I just let it go, no one got hurt, but this one lady cut me off and glared at me like I spat on her. Stuff like that will happen here. Normally when I Go to Walmart it's just a normal trip. This time I needed a baby pool so I could give my dog a bath lol I searched and searched the store and I couldn't find one! It ALWAYS takes asking 3-6 employees to help me use their own app! TWO different stores even had managers that DID NOT KNOW how to work the app. What is the point of using the app at all? Pathetic!!! This Walmart was terrible! Four cashiers could not use the Walmart app at all! The fifth cashier was very good with the app, but the manager that I asked for help could not use it at all. One of the more confusing and poorly laid out floor plans of a WalMart I have ever been in. I have been in Walmarts all over. Well in at least 5 states that I can remember. They are all usually the same. No, not this one. The main aisles are large and spacious but if you want to go down the aisle with bathroom cleaners....be prepared to suck it in and think thin because there is no room for you, your cart and the other 5 people not paying attention to where their cart is. This isn't a super center Walmart but it did the trick because I was out in Fremont for Toys R Us and had to stop by Walmart for some basic essentials along w/ a few small Christmas items. Luckily I did not need to get any groceries otherwise it would have cost me another trip. Like all Walmarts, they carry electronics, entertainment for your pleasure, home products, bathroom stuff, clothes, children's needs (diapers, baby food, baby snacks, baby juice, wipes, stroller, etc., etc.), school supplies, gifting accessories (cards, bags, wrapping paper, tissue paper, bows, ribbons, etc.), and of course food: cereal, milk, juice, chips, cookies, bars, coffee, pasta, canned meats, sauce in jars, bread, ham, cheese, and the "basic" stuff but no bakery section, no meats and poultry section, and no cheese island but like I said, I can't ding them for those reasons because this is an ordinary Walmart. I find the layout to be a little off but that could be because I am not used to this particular location. The parking is huge and it gets packed super early. I got there a little before 10 and the place was filling up. Walmart is not the best place and I certainly hate going to Walmart (except for the Temecula location), otherwise what more could you ask for? It's certainly cheaper than Target and cheaper than your average grocery giant. I'll stick to the super center off of Almaden in South San Jose! read more

This is one of the biggest, messiest, and busiest Walmart I've ever been to. They have an optometry, auto dept, and even a McDonald's inside. The parking is huge and the store is open 24hrs 7 days a week so that's great! You always have to struggle in finding stuff you're looking for as the place is always messy and people working here aren't that great of a help. Yeah customer service sucks but this is Walmart people! Restrooms aren't that clean either. The times i I have used it... stinks; good thing there's always toilet paper and soap though. fiancée change his car oil here, and he'd never had any problem with that. Go somewhere else to buy your tires. They will not honor their road hazard insurance. I purchased 4 tire from them and the road hazard insurance. I hit a object on the freeway about 2month into the new tires. I bought it back to have the tire replaced because it punctured the side wall. I was told that the warranty does not apply to the sidewalls. I looked at the policy it only mentioned about thread wear. It did not mentioned anything about not covering sidewall damage. Whoo-wee. If I could give zero stars for this place, oh boy.. The experience I had here was an absolute debacle. Management is non-existent here. I'm highly disappointed in the customer service department - specifically the pick-up process for online orders. Walmart needs to train their employees thoroughly on customer service and management. I literally waited almost 20 minutes for an online order for a toaster oven that was designated for pickup. Not only was there no response for "assistant manager Diana" after 6-10 times of calling her over the intercom system, but so many employees looked apathetic towards my cause. No one stopped to ask or help, and my boyfriend was getting infuriated - rightfully so, we pretty much were treated like distasteful green peace solicitors or unwelcome homeless people... After all of that, when an associate finally showed up, I'm informed that my product did arrive, except it wasn't sorted yet. ...... This experience made me really dissatisfied with Wal-mart and is really making me want to turn my back and shop elsewhere. The order says it was shipped, FedEx delivered to the wrong address in another city according to the tracking number. FedEx says it was delivered to the address on the package. Walfront, LLC is the third party vendor and their reviews show that they do this all the time! AVOID WALMART.COM unless it comes directly from Walmart. DON'T use the other vendors... And I saw there is no car in the workshop and no one working there! Till 10 am, the technician pull my car to the shop and come back to the counter to help other customers that waiting at the counter! When I got back my car key is about 11:30am! And when I get back to my car! I find out the technician left the safety glasses in my car! I got to bring it back! Than I found out that it missing my wheel lock! I go back and ask for it! If I could give this place zero stars, I totally would... after driving up to Northern California and visiting my father, I discovered my tires had some serious damage in an area I hadn't seen. I was in desperate need of new tires, so I went to the local Costco (I left a review on these guys too, and it's not any prettier...) only to find out that the wait was massive. Unfamiliar with tire places in the area, and knowing it would be difficult to find a place open on a Sunday, I called around to verify the far away places that were open had my tire before I risked driving there on the damaged one (especially since the places that were open were spaced over a lot of square miles). I called this Walmart and the phone rang. And it rang. And it rang. And. It rang. This was just to reach the auto/tire center. I listened to it ring for 6 minutes before hanging up and selecting another department. I called every single department, listening to it ring 5 minutes each time before hanging up. Finally, I called the Pharmacy, and they picked up. Unfortunately, of course, the pharmacy isn't able to do anything because they're a different type of employee. But they did try to transfer me to, get this, consecutively every single department I had tried previously. They tried private numbers for the supervisor offices, closed lines, they tried calling people directly themselves, they tried everything they could. So, perhaps, this makes this store not totally a black hole of terrible customer service? I tried to get ahold of this place, in total, for around 30 minutes. No answer. Ever. I understand that stores get busy, but no answer in 30 minutes? Does no one work here?
