However, they managed to move my kids through their separate eye exams quickly and efficiently (we were done within the hour). While their offices weren't as kid friendly as other places I've visited, they did have a small basket of blocks that kept my children entertained while we waited (which wasn't very long). Their offices are basic and comfortable without any frills. I was also happy to have found Dr. Reed as I had a difficult time locating an optometrist that accepts Medicaid. Even though his establishment is in Lewiston, his business still gladly took our WA medicaid without making us feel uncomfortable or self conscious.

However, the experience with this store was terrible! The manager was rude and tried to bully us into service that we didn't want or need. They implied that if you don't get the top-level package then you won't get good coverage and may not have service or data if you have an emergency. If they think they can take advantage of you, they will. We got much better service from the Verizon call center.

I was impressed to hear about the techniques being used to get her 'realigned' so to speak. She was referred to NIV who has provided her a pair of glasses to correct her depth perception and focus. She also has in person vision therapy and 'homework'. They're located inside a once thriving shopping mall. I had some work to do so I brought my laptop and got set up outside their office. I quickly learned that the play area wasn't ideal for me to focus, as the parents let their kids loose to scream at the top of their lungs while climbing the slide and chasing one another. I relocated and before long her appointment was over. It's so interesting to hear the ways that a traumatic brain injury affects vision. I definitely see an improvement in her confidence and know she's making strides!
