My son just loves Dr Miranda's office decked out with adorable pictures of her dogs. The Dr is very gentle with my son, explaining the procedure to both of us, and answering any questions we may have. This year we had to order glasses, and within days we received a text that they were ready for pick up. And unlike other eye centers we were not pressured in any way while picking out his frames. I asked isn't there an extra charge for thus . She yes but it's only 39.00 with your inDurante. I tell her that has always been an option. She says it's all part of the exam. I say I don't want it. She then tells me I have to get it. I say no and leave . I told them don't bill my insurance. They never said you have to pay for anything that is not covered by insurance. Like most 40 (plus) year old, I was telling myself my eyes are fine. Holding newspaper further…read moreaway was normal. But after driving one night, after a rain, I knew I had a good chance of not seeing a walker or jogger in our neighborhood. I called Dr. Frank and he got me in right away. Not only did he tell me I needed glasses but he found an infection too (he prescribed some medicine for my eye). About a week later (the infection was cured) I went back in for my glasses. WOW! what a huge difference that new glasses make, I couldn't believe I let my vision go for so long. That night when I was driving home, I was sitting at a stop light and I could read the temperature, on the rear view mirror, of the vehicle ahead of me. How's that for great vision!

I did not see him wash his hands and he was touching the affected eye without wearing gloves & did not wash after. 10/10 would not recommend! Recently I had used my lens warranty; they were kind enough to let me keep my old lenses. And put them into my old frames for a spare pair.

Everyone there treated my daughter gently, with kindness and patience. Because of my experience I started going there myself, lucky for me. I was having a few issues with my vision and the doctor dilated my eyes. He said I had to go immediately to see an ophthalmologist/surgeon because he believed I had a detached retina. The office called Wheaton Eye Clinic and got me in that morning. Turns out the doctor was correct and if I had put it off much longer I was risking my vision in that eye. I am impressed with the entire staff. They always treat my and my daughter like family and I highly recommend Advanced Family Eye Care.
