I originally tried to go to 'Chicago Cornea Consultants' because that is where my eye doctor tried to send me. When I went to my consultation I was very grossed out by their facility and found out the only reason my eye doctor sent me there was because he had a deal with them and received money for each person he sent there. I called my insurance company after the consultation (which I should have done at the beginning of this process) and found out I could get a discount through them if I went to LasikPlus. My insurance company (Blue Cross Blue Shield - HMO) made my free consultation appointment with LasikPlus on my behalf which made me feel safe and secure. Right when I walked into the LasikPlus facility in Schaumburg, I felt so welcome and at ease. Getting lasik is a nerve-racking experience and the staff at LasikPlus is next level. Everyone I talked to was kind and open to answering any questions I had (trust me, I had a lot). During my consultation they determined I was a perfect candidate. Not sure if this made a difference, but at the beginning of this process I did not wear my contacts for almost 3 weeks before my consultation and never again after that (I ran out of contacts but this was a suggestion from my eye doctor). After determining I was a good candidate, they told me if I scheduled my surgery ASAP I would get an additional discount due to scheduling early. I said HELL YES, and had my surgery the next week. The day of the surgery was pretty crazy. There was a snow storm (I got it done on January 23rd). Something crazy happened and a man who got lasik earlier that day broke the machine. This meant that no one could get their surgery on that machine for the day. Everyone who was scheduled for surgery that day in Schaumburg were sent to the Oak Brook location since that location luckily had no appointments for the day. I still had the awesome Dr. Horn do the surgery. Even with all the chaos, LasikPlus handled it flawlessly and I was home faster than I expected. They also gave a discount due to everything that happened with the change in location. My actual surgery lasted all of 10 minutes, which was wild. My brother drove me home and I fell asleep immediately. I would suggest getting your prescriptions BEFORE the surgery because we stopped at the pharmacy on the way home and it delayed me getting to sleep as soon as possible. I would recommend LasikPlus to anyone looking to get lasik. I am so happy with this investment and kind of can't shut up about it. I went to my 1-day follow up appointment THE NEXT MORNING with 20/15 vision. Unbelievable, perfect vision. FYI - I would 100% recommend anyone who deals with allergies to get the surgery done in the winter so you don't have to deal with your eyes itching while you are going through the healing process. ****IMPORTANT**** I did not drink enough water or eat enough the day I got lasik. I got dehydrated and after I took my "after surgery nap", I fainted in the bathroom putting my eyedrops in. This had NOTHING to do with LasikPlus and everything with me being on a stupid diet lol. Number one, the practice is not handicapped accessible and quite dangerous for seniors with mobility issues and others with disabilities. From the narrow parking lot to the very narrow and steep ramp leading to the front door and the heavy front doors, it's just plain dangerous for seniors to navigate. Their equipment is from the 1960s, and my mother was actually told, when she was asked to lay her head back she was told that the chair was broken and didn't have a head support, and yet Dr Yoon apparently drives a brand new Tesla.

Other medical professionals in Rockford, including my GP and a RN, have shared that they have heard horror stories about him. Do not go to him. Also, he made me sign a contract as they were wheeling me into surgery. It said that I would never post any negative review anywhere about him. WHO DOES THIS? I want the names of all the employees at Pryor Health, who have intentionally and fraudulently destroyed my life. He forever stole my right to privacy, my sense of safety in a medical facility, and my peace. A majority of my medical records are back-dated, filled with fiction, lies and fraud. Example: They outrageously created a fraudulent 2-page DOS medical record of a detailed physical that was alleged to have occurred at their facility prior to my surgery. NEVER HAPPENED! I don't even live in Illinois and was never there on that date and never had a physical there at any time. MEDICAL RECORDS ARE LEGAL DOCUMENTS and should be accurate, and not fraudulent. He never took any responsibility to ensure my informed consent was ethically provided. The most disorganized medical facility run by many unqualified, incompetent or complicit staff. In my opinion, Landon Pryor and Pryor Health are only concerned about $$$ profit as his surgical practice was acquired by a private equity firm since 2021. Profit over patient care. Exploiting a vulnerable woman with no regard for her personal safety or wellbeing. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN! And WHY do they routinely delete ALL of their negative reviews (mine included) on their Pryor Health (Google) website? Up to now 666 positive reviews at this point and zero negative? And then permanently block me from posting any review going forward. It's time to stop the scam. Impossible to trust a medical/surgical facility if they can't be truthful about their reviews. It makes sense now why I was mailed a two page NDA document, prior to my surgery, after I had already paid close to $15,000, threatening to sue me if I post any negative reviews about him or the practice. Attached to the NDA was a new, even more stringent cancellation policy, outlining the escalating percentages of fees I would be charged up to my surgery date if I were to cancel. What a disgrace. Major red flags. I wish I had followed my gut, canceled and hired an attorney at that point. My life would be so much healthier and happier than it is now filled with PTSD and constant flashback nightmares. Find an ethical, trustworthy surgical center, this place isn't it.
