We've taken my 7 year old son to All About Eyes in Dekalb for the last couple years. They are so great with children! Every team member we've encountered are professional and friendly. My son just loves Dr Miranda's office decked out with adorable pictures of her dogs. The Dr is very gentle with my son, explaining the procedure to both of us, and answering any questions we may have. This year we had to order glasses, and within days we received a text that they were ready for pick up. And unlike other eye centers we were not pressured in any way while picking out his frames. So 2 or 3 weeks ago I stopped in to get the rubber replace on my Oakleys they didn't have and. 2 dollar part they can't stock for their customers I spent over 700 on them. So that sucked. So I had to order them for 2 pair so they sent email to come get them. So I told the guy I didn't bring the other pair so he said nothing Gave me back my glasses and said they didn't ship the other pair and he didn't know why. I know why. I had an appointment for my regular eye exam. I go to them every year. I get to the office they ask for my medical insurance card never had to do that before. I have eye med plus which covers everything. They do the air test and tell me to go to this other machine. I asked what is this she says it take images of the back of your eyes. I asked isn't there an extra charge for thus . She yes but it's only 39.00 with your inDurante. I tell her that has always been an option. She says it's all part of the exam. I say I don't want it. She then tells me I have to get it. I say no and leave . I told them don't bill my insurance. They never said you have to pay for anything that is not covered by insurance. When i received my glasses, my left eye was extremely blurry. I gave it a week and contacted them, they said to wait a little longer. After 3 weeks of still not adjusting, they said it can take up to 6 weeks. They refused to even see me. I never went back. I went to another eye Dr, the prescription in my left eye was around 30 points off.... had they just listened to me in the first place I wouldn't have had to pay a ton of money for glasses that hurt my eyes to wear. My daughter had an appointment today at All About Eyes in Dekalb where she used to go for glasses when she was going to college in the area. Alhough it's quite a drive from where she is currently living, she remembered them in the past as being very helpful and wanted to go back to them for a new pair of glasses. Boy, was she mistaken! The two women working behind the counter there today treated her so badly that she called me in tears as soon as she left. They informed her that not only did she not have an appointment there, but that it was "impossible" for her to have made one. They were rude, condescending, and downright mean. Instead of helping her, they decided to humiliate her and send her on her way. My advice? Do NOT go to All About Eyes in Dekalb because they're certainly NOT All About Customer Service. read more

All About Eyes is a great local eye shop, and good option for anyone looking to get a deal on glasses. The service was relatively fast and friendly, and I was able to get two pairs of prescription glasses for the price of one, which was about $200 if I remember right. The eyeglass cases and cloths were included at no extra cost, and they will give new ones if they become lost or damaged. Outside of the friendly service, the store is very well kept and they had a wide variety of options to choose from. The designer frame section was a tad small, but there were plenty of options in the non designer frame area, and at decent enough prices, so it was not an issue for me. read more

I went to All About Eyes expecting to get an eye exam, maybe some glasses. What I got was so much more thrilling. From the moment I walked in I was shocked by the friendliness of the staff, as well as the general cleanliness of the store. I was told my eyes are starting to fail on me, but that's okay bc the selection of frames to pick from made me proud to be a glasses wearer! I was helped the entire time by Sife, who is by far the single greatest employee of her generation. She was so helpful in my quest for the perfect pair of glasses and by the time I left, I had picked out two pairs I loved! 11/10 definitely would recommend All About Eyes to anybody who enjoys seeing things read more

I wanted to try out a new eye group that carried VSP Insurance. My experience here was really good. Staff was friendly and attentive. I found a set of frames that worked for me and then staff worked out my bill showing what insurance would pay and what I would pay. Took only a couple days and glasses were ready for pickup. Once again the staff person was very friendly and adjusted the frames slightly for a perfect fit. read more

My family of 4 are all patients here for about the past 3 years. to know me, you would know I'm ruthless about shopping around for exam/ fitting prices as well as glasses and contact pricing. They by far are the best! Even comping costcos contact prices an hour away. They have accommodated my son a few times with broken glasses or worked with us to replace with the affordable insurance. Went to the store to get prices and see if they had any deals going on. The front desk girl said someone would be with me shortly. I wandered around the lobby for 15 minutes and was ignored by everyone else in the building. I had a pocket full of cash and needed new glasses badly. So I left and spent my cash somewhere else. Friends, when looking to get your eye glasses or contacts DO NOT go to all about eyes in dekalb!! I ordered my glasses in April!! They came in, lenses were wrong. They sent back. I have since moved. I called 3weeks ago quite irritated wanting my glasses or my $$ back. They promised to ship to me. Called AGAIn today, they're still sitting in their dekalb store!! Good thing I'm coming to visit otherwise who knows what their next excuse would b!! I understand college kids needing to get a start in their chosen profession, but if your entire business only employs such people maybe u should call yourself a "all about practicing optometrists who don't really care about u just the sale." As a healthcare patron and also having a career in healthcare, I've seen a good amount of Dr/patient interactions. I was greatly underwhelmed by Dr. Katiyar. He rushed through my exam, didn't explain anything, brushed me off when I asked questions, and had an attitude with me when I asked about using a different type of contact than the one that he wanted to prescribe me. He treated me like an inconvenience. Had he maybe asked me ANYTHING rather than the typical "what's better, 1 or 2", maybe the experience would have been better. When I asked about eye dilation since it's been a very long term since I had this done, he said that my eyes are fine and I don't need it. I'm not sure if they need more help there or if this is how he treats all of his patients but I'm really hoping I just caught him on a bad day. I definitely will not be returning or recommending this business to anyone I know. I'll stick with Dr. Michele on sycamore rd. It's a MUCH smoother process and they treat you like a person rather than another number. read more

Shelby, the store manager, helped me pick out a pair, with ultra light flexible temples, that had just arrived. After 3 weeks of multiple visits, for adjustments, it became apparent to me that the temples were too light to support the lenses/ vision part of the frames. Both Shelby and Alll About Eyes totally honored and made good on their Satisfaction Promise, allowing and helping me pick out a new pair of comparably priced frames, at no additional charge to me. Many competitors advertise similar warranties, until there is a problem; then they Wiesel out of their promise and tell you that you have to pay junk fees, that their warrantee doesn't cover. I went in for new glasses as I had brought my daughter here previously. The initial pre-exam felt very hurried and then I waited almost 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. Quickest eye exam ever but doctor was friendly. No opticians to help with selecting frames, but I guess you don't offer that. I was given a discount on warranty to apologize for the lateness.
