This review is about a few eyeglass prescriptions from a few years back. Dr. Jay Siegall was terrible. His prescriptions totally messed up my eyes. Which took proper lenses (ordered online elsewhere) and years of eye exercises to finally correct. He blamed my eyes and wouldn't admit he made mistakes in my lenses. He gave me a hard time when I asked for my prescription in writing. Only after I kept coming back, he forced an optician to hand it to me instead of having the guts to hand it to me face to face. He was too "busy." After looking at it, I was able to see what he did to me. It turns out he gave me Monovision without telling me. His prescriptions gave me headaches, blurry vision, double vision and loss of depth perception. Finally, years later, I can finally say I can see much better now. No thanks to Dr. Siegall and his bad attitude and refusal to admit and correct his mistakes. read more

I had my eye exam at Visionworks. I always bring my own frames (save a few bucks finding the designer frames online vs in the retail store). For starters, Visionworks wanted me to sign a waiver that if they broke my $400 Prada frames while installing the new lenses, it wasn't their fault and too bad, so sad, no refund even if I produced a receipt. So, a co-worker suggested I take my prescription and frames to Wal-Mart Optical. I went to the Wal-Mart on Rte. 110 in Farmingdale. What a fantastic experience!! I went Friday evening after work and was helped by Feliks, who couldn't have been more accommodating and knowledgeable. The total for progressive lenses, transitions and anti glare was nearly $100 LESS than Visionworks. I was told the lenses would take 7-10 business days, no problem I have my current glasses. Well, I never expected to get a call on Wednesday afternoon that my glasses were ready for pick-up. Feliks helped me again at pick-up. He adjusted my frames to not slip down, he explained a few tips for using progressive lenses, all around couldn't do enough to give me the best Optical experience. I ABSOLUTELY recommend Wal-Mart Optical, and if you go, say hi to Feliks. read more

I am not easy on glasses,I break them often and the lenses are very expensive. The people here are so helpful and knowledgeable they always save me. Repairing the glasses or finding new frames to fit, highly recommend these wonderful people! read more

About 3 weeks ago I went to Walmart Vision & Glasses, to get an eye examination, and a new pair of eye glasses. I was told that they would be ready for pick up within 10 days. After 8 days they called to say my glasses are ready. I tried both pairs and noticed that the left lens were out of focus. The woman said I will get use to them in time, because I had a slight case of cataracts. I said to her this has nothing to do with cataracts, these lens were cut wrong. With that she went to take with the eye examiner. After about 15 min.s she told me that they would have to send them back to the people who cut them. Never once she apologize to say I was right. Once again I went back after 5 days pick up the glasses. At that point they were fine. After about a week in wearing one of the glasses, the lens fell out. I knew of a place to have it fixed, because I didn't want to deal with them any more. Stay away from these people, go somewhere else. read more

I am so impressed with walmart vision customer service. My daughter had a great experience in the store while picking out her sports goggles. Unfortunately, after just 2 weeks of having them they got destroyed in a car fire. Walmart vision workers places a replacement order for me over the phone and did not charge me for the second pair. We are so appreciative as we dont have eye glass insurance. thank you read more

Wow! What an amazing experience! From the first phone call to the store speaking with Clarissa to Juri, to the Doctor to the order finalizer Feliks, each person was incredible! My daughter is in her 20s and she invited me to take part in this to help her make decisions, plus she wasn't sure if her eyes would be dilated and unable to drive. Back to the unbelievable staff at Walmart eye professionals...Dr. Siegall has a very special talent in that not only is he clearly an exceptional physician, but his personality is the best! He's funny, he's thorough, he's kind and he made us feel very relaxed and that he was doing everything imaginable to make the getting-glasses-experience a good one. The final cost was so reasonable and my daughter's insurance covered 90% of it. She had a small co-payment plus chose inexpensive frames, and then decided to get the second pair she had her eye on, pun intended. The only negative is that I work for NY state and this great place is not in network with my insurance so I'd have to pay "out of pocket" and TBH I say no problem! Thank you Dr Siegall! read more
