Catherine promptly called the previous store to obtain the date of original purchase. Unfortunately, they were not under warranty. Made up a file and passed it onto the optometrist, Marie. She located the pair I had, albeit in a different color, transferred my lenses into them, adjusted them and sent me on my way. She also mentioned an upcoming promotion that would allow me to get spare pairs in case of any other mishap. I was in an out within a half hour. I couldn't be more thankful to these two women!! I was expecting problems. Boy, they proved me wrong. If only more employees were this beneficial to their customers.

My mom went today for herself for a separate issue and nobody even attempted to explain to her again that they are not eligible to diagnose or treat this condition. Instead hey said it'll be $89 and they will see her just to do nothing and refer to ophthalmologist. I know they probably labeled her as an "annoying customer from yesterday" and saw her just to shut her up. But this is just so wrong because I know how hard my mom works for that $90 dollars.

The first time I spoke to the owner he said that the cost will be $20 each to repair. And then they called me the next day to say that it will be $70 each instead of $20 because he needed two parts instead of one which is not true I only needed one part each. I had no choice at this point so I told them to get the job done. Over two weeks later they called me and said it was done. When I went to pick up and pay they said I owed a total of $210 which comes out to $105 each which is $35 more each than what they told me. And when I asked questions the lady had no answers for me and the owner was hiding in the back. I will never go to these guys ever again!!!

Dr Vaishali Nigam (OD), is a licensed optometrist providing eye care services @ BJ's. Who knew Dr Nigam would be such a great Optometrist?!?! Dare I say, I liked her more than my Opthalmologist?! She was so patient, knowledgeable, communicative, and thorough. I would return to Dr Nigam in a heartbeat! Great services and professionalism! Optician Donna was also wonderful! She helped me pick out my frames and was so helpful! She picked frames that I would have never picked for myself. After trying them on, I loved them both! Donna also gave me good tips on picking the tint for my sunglasses, and tips on how to handle insurance reimbursement. Thanks, Donna!! BJs is currently having a BOGO for complete pair of glasses (some restrictions apply). I ended up getting regular glasses, as well as Sunglasses! I had to pay extra for the added tint for my sunglasses. I still ended up paying $367 for both glasses but that still comes out to less than $200 each, so I'd consider that a win. Note that it takes 2 weeks for your glasses to come in, so allow extra time to receive them. Also note that they take some (not all) insurances for the exam, but will NOT accept insurance for your frames/glasses; however you can probably submit your receipts to get a small reimbursement. This was my first experience at BJs Optical and it was a great experience! Recommended!

I was a patient of Stahl Eye Care for almost 20 years. I had 2 cataract surgeries with them …read more Always very professional. I went back recently and it has been taken over by OCLI. The WORST experience. The unprofessional front end staff was the start. They do a lot of socializing in front of patients, eating chips at the front desk, loud and just not a professional office setting. Then one of the staff members comes out to call the patient in he is texting on his phone. Then a staff member calls me in to do the initial screening, I asked him if he had my records because I have a certain lens in my eye. He told me he doesn't think they still have my records, but he said I've only been here five months so he is not sure. Well, that doesn't make me feel great that the person who did most of my testing has only been there five months. Meanwhile, still joking around with other staff members. It was unfortunate that with my insurance which is widely usedI was told only one doctor accepted. I didn't feel like he spent any amount of time examining my eyes. He just reiterated what I told him already that I have dry eyes. Within not even 10 minutes of leaving the office I get an email that I have another appointment scheduled for a week from then. I called back, but the woman told me that office already closed which I find hard to believe because the office was packed when I left. So I'm not sure if I was reaching a switchboard somewhere else. With numerous numerous texts, reminding me of this appointment that I did not make, nor did I need I was unable to cancel this appointment, even though I had canceled many times when receiving the texts. I continued to get phone messages I tried calling the office three times on Monday morning where the woman told me just ignore it. It was canceled again to be followed up by another phone call, reminding me I had an appointment. How can I trust this office with my eyes if I can't even trust the office with basic reception duties. It's sad because Stahl Eye Center was a team that I felt confident with my eye care needs.
