They were patient and friendly and didn't push sales. They were able to help me find the right pair of glasses with the right fit. Bj's usually has deals throughout the year (like 50% off lens) and though they don't take my insurance, it's usually similar in price if I use it elsewhere. Great selection of frames and lens options. I'm really picky about my frames and like to take my time selecting the right style for my face shape. The optical department is the best amongst all the other departments in BJ's in my opinion.

His calm demeanor is wonderful, absolutely, then couple that with his skill, knowledge, and inventive nature makes him a "miracle worker". I had an emergency on a Friday night (as my front tooth decided to leave), and of course, during after hours. I left a message on the Doctor Vitali's emergency number, but told him not to hurry in, as the emergency was mine, without pain or blood, and wanted him home with his family. Sure enough his Office Manager, Leanne, phoned me first thing Monday morning and scheduled me in that afternoon for a consult. After the consult it was decided that a bridge was needed as both front teeth were in turmoil. This was shocking to hear, but I have faith in this man, from past experiences; yes, was a bit frightened, Both teeth were removed on Holy Thursday and the Monday after Easter, I had a bridge with beautiful teeth. PAINLESS and secure. It had been a long time to eat something with such comfort and normalcy. I forgot what that was like and so very thrilled beyond understanding how he made this happen, but it is truthful. I am so happy., Dr. Bondar's staff has to be commended also, just has to be. Leanne works her magic with running the office and accommodating their patients with regular appointments and those with emergence. I feel really comfortable with her at the helm, always wanting to help and please in a sincere kind and caring way. Federica and Shannon are the doctor's Assistants and where does he get these personal, capable staff members is beyond me. Their gracious persona, and for real caring attitude is very comforting. They made me forget what I was there for. I am scheduled for a cleaning with their Hygienist and have not yet met her, but I've seen her usher her patients out with warmth, and genuine feelings of care, so I am sure, she will be added to my happiness with Smile Design. Dr. Guarino is an awesome, nice doctor who is the only reason I'm not giving one star! I've had no issues coming here until recently in Somersworth. The office staff is rude and dismissive. I've been a patient with no issues all these years, but because I had an issue getting to my appointment once (paid the $75 fee for no 24 hour notice) and then unfortunately got hit with a migraine so bad it would have affected my eye exam on the day I was to go to my rescheduled date, they wanted to charge me $75 again for no notice. I argued that it wasn't something I could get a 24 hour notice for, that it hit me hard and was making it hard to use my eyes. The response I got was as if I was this ongoing problem patient that has always caused them nothing but strife with wasting the doctor's appointment times. That "it's extremely busy here and I don't have time to argue with you. I'll look in your file and see if I can cancel the fee but I'll have to put a note in your file to have you pay up front before your next rescheduled visit because you've canceled twice with not enough notice." Seriously?! Like I said to her, I've been a patient with no problems with appointments for years and the moment I'm not perfect I get a note in my file to pay upfront?? Horrible way to treat a loyal, long term patient who never had issues with appointments beforehand. I'm already looking for a new doctor because that's BS treatment. Completely unprofessional in the way they speak and treat patients. Dr. Guarino, reviews on google are also in agreement that it's clear I'm not alone that your office staff are driving away patients which is sad considering you're such a great doctor. Office staff play a very important role for doctor visits, they are the ones who deal with patients the most, they reflect on a bussiness. You can be the best doctor ever but it doesn't make up for being treated like dirt by your staff. My loyalty only stands when respect and consideration are involved by all people who are supposed to be caring for me when you aren't around and your office doesn't care. Good luck!

Office manager Jennifer is rude and condescending, talks down to you like a child and talks over you on the phone. For the sole reason of having to deal with her my family will not return. It's unfortunate for Dr. Guarino that she is chasing patients away from his otherwise excellent practice. The other office person (Carrie) was a pleasure to deal with but I will not give my business to anyone that treats me or my family this way. If Jennifer leaves the practice I will update my review to 5 stars and my family will be loyal customers/patients again.
