Recently I had seriously injured my eye while doing some gardening and by the next morning I realized I needed professional medical attention. I went to Dr. Kim's office to arrange for an examination. While Dr. Kim was not in at the time, her employee, Scott, immediately contacted her by phone in an effort to have me seen late that afternoon. While Dr. Kim was out of town at the time, Scott was able to secure an appointment with Dr. Kim the following morning. Impressive! After examining my eye and generating a prescription for an immediate pick up, Dr. Kim insisted that in the future if any vision-related injuries arise I should immediately text the office, even if it is after-hours. She explained that, as a habit, she will review text messages after-hours and is very willing to meet with a patient, on an emergency basis, to avoid the risk of any long-term vision damage. Several days after my initial visit Dr. Kim then reached out to me via a follow-up email to confirm that I was healing properly and that the injury had been alleviated. This is an impressive level of personalized professional care, especially in view of the general state of healthcare throughout Southern California. Thank you Dr. Kim and your staff.

Dr Kim really helped me with understand how to take care of my dry eyes, and I also purchased multifocal contacts, which have been working out for me when past options did not. I found them to be reasonably priced (insurance helps), and they were willing to explain exactly what my insurance covered and how to get the most bang for my buck. I will definitely come back next year and beyond! One note: they give you electronic copies of your prescriptions, which several offices I've been to would not do. Again, I highly recommend them for thorough exams, thoughtful service, and an amazing, unique selection of glasses.
