Walmart in West Hills - I had a terrible experience today, I bought some groceries including red onions. The cashier and the team lead tried pricing the red onions, the bag was missing a barcode tag, but neither the cashier nor the team lead try to go back to the produce location and get a bag with the barcode tag and price it that way. After 3 attempts - trying to weigh the bag and looking it up etc., the cashier charged me over the real price. It was very frustrating to me as well as to the customers standing in the line behind me. I put returned to the store and took a picture of the price on the display and went to the service desk and explained my experience, the team lead again appeared there and said that those prices on the display are not correct and rudely returned me 32 cents - which was still not the right amount, I tried to tell her that my concern was really the way I was treated and the inconvenience of the people behind me - but she just turned a deaf ear. Employees at this Walmart really need training on how to resolve issues quickly and courteously. read more

I finally broke my headphones and needed a new set and figured I would go in to see what specials carried through from Black Friday. I like the headphones said they were $199 so I went in and grabbed them. They rang up the regular retail price and I had pulled up the website and she said that the pricing online was different and I knew that Best Buy was selling it at the price listed. I told them that I didn't want to get them and headed out. I was hungry and didn't realize I had just left $400 in cash with her because I just didn't want to battle the pricing out. I ventured to Best Buy and my heart sunk when I looked for my cash. Did I leave it? Did I drop it ? There's no way I'm getting that cash back. I drove back feeling the loss already but saw one of the women in the electronics department and her face lit up. The staff at Walmart made sure that it was in fact me and didn't make the ludicrous scenario more difficult on me and made sure that I got my cash back. I called to ask about the hours of The customer service desk and was told the wrong hours over the phone they closed an hour before they were supposed to. But the manager Astrid was just standing around doing nothing. Gave me the wrong size Christmas tree after giving away the one I reserved online. Refuse to accept the return because it's a holiday item even though it said 90 day return policy when I purchased it. Manager was rude and could clearly do more to help but chose not too. They shouldn't put 90 day return policy on holiday items if it doesn't apply. As they should accept a return when it was a wrong item. If you order online just be aware that doesn't actually hold the item they will still sell to somebody else and when they do sell to somebody else and give you a smaller version for higher price, they won't accept your return despite it being on the purchase that it was allowed. I understand not being able to return holiday items but they didn't give me the right one to begin with. Huge store that carries almost everything from household to market. You can find something that you need. I like the baby section for affordable clothes, toys and items. Not the diapers or wipes though- those are terrible quality. They also have a good selection of protein products and supplements are at good prices. I avoid the weekends as it is similar to Costco with a LOT of people and looong lines. I am sad that the McDonald's inside closed- I could always grab a quick meal and then shop. My mom and I went to pick up an online order for mosquito repellent. We walked inside to pick it up, but the in-person pickup station was closed and a non-English speaking worker tried her best to explain to us that Walmart no longer does in-person pick-up and that they only participate in curbside pickup. Another Black woman told us that we should've known better but we were never told that it was ONLY curbside pickup. She said "you can't see with your little eyes to call the store number??" Wtf are these snarky comments?? We walked back to our car and there were no curbside parking spots available bc other people were literally parking in the spots to go shopping and not wait for an online pickup. Excellent communication and customer service. Side note: Return customer service hours earlier than store closing hours. the return window for electronics is much shorter than for other items--about 14-15 days or less. This includes items like earbuds, phone cases, phone protectors, headphones, selfie sticks, phone holders, and similar products. If items are on clearance watch out could be like 1 day if item is no longer sold in that particular store but still sold in other nearby store locations or online. There are no signs indicating this, and the receipt and online policy still state a 30-day return period. Walmart's corporate number (1-800-925-6278) for anyone that needs it. Lastly, be cautious with items purchased online from third parties through Walmart.com, as the return policies for those can also be unpredictable. read more

Never met a more rude store manager in my life. I came in to return an item an hour before the store closed and I was immediately met with "We're closed" in a very rude manner. I didn't even say anything. So I asked what she meant when she said that they are closed. The store closes at 11. She says we're closed sir, we close at 8. I was waiting in the line at Walmart. There was a customer ahead of me and the clerk explained to him that the roller on the check out counter is not working, and clients had to put merchandise manually closer to the scanner. The customer angrily throw his merchandise on the clerk's counter and behaved inappropriately to show his anger and dissatisfaction. On the contrary, the clerk "Orlando" was calm and smiley, and did his job professionally. He was extremely professional with this angry client. In fact Orlando thought him and many others in the line a good lesson by responding him nicely. He treated this client with passion and similar to others like nothing happened. We all saw what happened. I was waiting for an argument, incident, or some kind of reaction from both sides. But Orlando was very well trained and professional. His well behavior and professionalism is making him eligible to become an employee of the busiest month of the year. Happy Holidays! Went to buy a TV that won't fit in my smaller car, the electronics employee tells me I can get free delivery if I buy online or with the app, tried that while we were standing there but when you do it tells you the item is out of stock as I'm standing next to a stack of 15 of them. Was going to buy a smaller one that would fit in my car, lugged it to the front and there were 40 people in line. Self checkout only of course because the staff is all hiding and I'm sure nobody is willing to work the register in an environment that is intentionally and strategically dysfunctional. They don't answer phones or if they do they drop the call after 10 seconds once they realize what you want and then don't answer when you call back. I pity the store workers, they're forced to work in an asinine system and are seemingly powerless and helpless to do anything about it or resolve any silly glitches like this. My best option is to Uber there and UberBlack home, so that would be the added expense for their incompetence or nefariously deceptive policy that they actually don't have to deliver on with this "glitch." Absolutely shameful, this embodies Walmart's reputation perfectly: incredible prices brought to you by disgraceful exploitation of people. read more
