One of the better, larger locations of the Burlington store. I was in the area, every now and then, like to stop by to see what they have available. I like shopping for Christmas items for the following year as well as giving some of the stuff to family and friends. Able to find some great deals. Now they have someone at entrance of the store in which before entering, they have you look up at the camera before entering. I guess its a way to provide a safer environment. Two stars today only because of the service I did not experience but the rudeness I heard towards an employee from her supervisor/manager. I asked for the woman's name and was told it was Margarita. It seemed like Margarita was training an older lady but sounded so rude towards her. I did not like that at all...she's lucky I wasn't the customer at that register at the time. She would have definitely heard it from me. She needs to have patience with her staff, especially while training your staff, especially an older adult. I can't believe I have never been here. My dad suggested Burlington, and I'm so glad he did! When you enter, they have security, and a crowd control / line barrier. I can't imagine anyone would have a problem with this, unless they were planning on committing a crime. Personally, it made me feel safe being inside. The store is very clean. Service was great. Several people asked if I was finding everything okay, and if I needed any help. It's like Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshall's.... But better. They have shoes, clothes, kitchen items, bedding, an automobile section, kids, and more. Low prices, high value. Boisterous for Burlington! This West Hills location is on the south end of the mega collection of stores and shops that is Fallbrook (Avenue) Shopping Center (near great things like the GOOD Walmart, Sprouts, AMC 7 Fallbrook, TJ's aka what I call Trader Joe's, World Market - the best place ever and more). When you enter from the endless shared parking lot near Ralphs you actually descend into the store, rather than a straight forward walk-in... Almost like entertaining a theme park for clothing. You may or may not find what you seek if you're looking for something more specific... Like I often am (an red orange/orange down sweater/jacket) around the Fall and cooler seasons, but you'll absolutely spot some amazing deals. The carry quite a pit of sizes for children and adults. I've seen some cool variety for medium, large, XL, XXL and tons of fashionable plus sizes. The store is pretty well kept and stocked consider the massive foot traffic flow... And when you're ready to check out... The line builds and builds very much like the line for a specific amusement park attraction. I've tried hoping out and shopping around more, but that doesn't help so just be patient and you'll make it to the front. The have good customer service as well as security... Not a huge fan of the entrance and chaos of this place, but perfect for a bargain hunter who has the time and patience to dig and evaluate. Expect heavy security at the front door. They must have had some retail theft issues, or else they aren't looking to start having any! This place has clothing for the whole family, plus stuff for the home. I just stopped by at that store on Victory Blvd and Fallbrook, and the service was horrible. Nobody was offering to guide me or offered help. I find some Parfum/ most likely like air spray but the box was opened. At the register I asked if someone can help me to find unopened box, or give me a discount. The manager was called to assist. She looked at me and said No! There is no missing parts, and obviously I haven't had a discount. When I got home, and I opened the bottle there was no fluid of Parfum at all. It was all dried. Why care providers became so ignorant and rude to the customers? I'm an RN at the local hospital and one day these people will might need my help and services. My B.F needed to get some new gear for work so after dinner we stopped in the Burlington Coat Factory, this was my first time, I was very impressed by the neat rows upon rows of clothing. At the time that we came it was around 9:00 PM they were still open and for it being the end of a long day of a popular store being open all of the items were still nice and neat on the hangers and shelves. Between the two of us I was able to pick out three shirts for him and he found two pairs of pants all within about 15 min. I love it! And this is due to how organize the store is! I've never been more proud to be a Burlington shopper than I was today. Today is Christmas Eve and I bought the wrong size PJ's for my kiddo. I had no plans to be in the Christmas Eve crazy but I went forth because holiday PJ's are a big thing in our family. My destination was Walmart (to exchange the PJ's) but it closed today at 6PM. That was a head scratch but Burlington West Hills was open. SCORE! As I was leaving Burlington West HIlls, I ran into a woman who was in tears (I mean, like somebody-just-died tears.) I stopped to see if I could help (because Christmas Eve.) She was caught short with Walmart being closed and just lost it. The defeat was palpable. She wanted to get a gift for her grandson and could not believe, after a 2-hour bus ride, that Walmart was closed. This is where the pride for my Burlington store comes in-- The lady, though not homeless, did have all of her possessions with her. (I found out later that she lives in a women's home and if she did not take her possessions with her, they would get stolen.) There was no doubt that everyone who looked at her thought she was homeless though. The lady was using her cart as a walker and was walking incredibly slowly. The store manager was at the door on my return trip. He had seen me leave earlier (we had a quick chat about the Vikings Santa hat I as wearing) so when I strolled back in with the lady, he did not miss a beat. He welcomed us both with a smile. If he was taken aback by the lady, her appearance, or the cart, it did not register on his face. Before I left the store, I thanked him for his generosity and graciousness. He could easily have kicked us out. I have always loved Burlington. Now I love it even more!! read more

This place is hit or miss. I either leave here with a bajillion bags of clothing, or zip. I bring my teenage daughters here, and they love the clothing, too. My teenage son, not so much. Parking is usually pretty easy. No cell service in the store though, which could be a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it. Big down side is that they never seem to have enough carts. You usually have to wait by the register for someone to let you have theirs. Can Burlington make sure YOU the customer are Safe, & have a good experience in their store as well as have confidence with the items you buy? The answer is NO! Let us start off by saying we bought sooo much stuff the register broke & the girl shuddered in shock. Eyes HUGE she told us that the she couldnt handle any more & asked if we could finish it at another register... or multiple transactions if that was okay??? We laughed proud of our amazing shopping prowess! We assured her that it was no problem! Fun times! Now.. Fast forward a week later, its the 1st of Jan & as you could expect, when you buy that much stuff from a retail store over the holidays, theres going to be a few things that just dont work out. One of these things were cookies with a missing seal. We bought two, one was fine, the other wasnt. No prob just take it back right? WRONG! While returning a few items the cookies came up & the girl at the register had a hard time matching it with the receipt. She was saying that the SKU of the item didnt exactly match the receipt. While this was going on we had split up into the store to do yet another Shopping spree run! After a very long while eventually our person came back with poor news that the cookie return had been rejected by the Mgr. There was a touch of anger that hit. We had purchased an unbelievable amount of items... & they were going to give us shyt over a 6 dollar tin of unsealed & possibly dangerous cookies??!!?! GTFO here. Sandy Mgr who failed to do the return went back & forth for a few min before we straight called her out, on her claim that "Theres nothing I can do" was B.S. Theres NEVER a time where theres absolutely NOTHING anyone can do. Sandy still insisted, & so did We. She says okay.. there IS something she can do if we have an ID's. Do a NO Receipt return but then wed be locked out of Burlington from ANY more returns without a receipt in the future. She explained that if we came back without a receipt for a much more expensive item they wouldnt be able to help & she wouldnt put it through. We told her thats NOT a problem because we keep our receipts. As she can see. We informed her that though we were fine with her proposal, there's no ID that we were willing to give but she could go ahead with the return. She said she couldnt do it. We called her on the B.S. yet again. She got her walkie-talkie & radio'd to a higher up Mgr. That Mgr. was Kim. During this whole event there was this guy who seemed to be handling cust. greeting who looked like he wanted to help but hands were completely tied. Guys often offer the better cust. serv. cuz they're willing to let logic decide an out come rather than article 87-3 section 4 of the Mgr training handbook that so many women & often times people who arent familiar with the local culture where theyre working in, seem to get hung up on. Sandy was in the middle of saying that we didnt have a receipt when we abruptly cut her off. The 1st question we asked Kim was "Have you ever bought soooo much shyt that the register you're at breaks down? Because WE did." Then we showed our receipts. She insisted that she cant help but if we returned it at the store that we bought it, maybe they could help, they could take a look at the cameras. Dear reader. I ask you.. CAMERAS FOR WHAT?!!?! What the fk is there to check?!?? YOU. The reader. Tell me. What is there to check? We Reminded her shes holding the receipts & cookies ARE on the receipt. We pressed some logic buttons, then she tried to blame Covid because they are open. We told her that its dangerous to sell Covid cookies to a customer. We pressed her a bit more bringing up how much we spent & that this wasnt about 6 dollars at this point, it was a bout principal.. (something so many people are lacking these days, but dont get me started). She wouldnt help so we told her that we were writing a 1 star review, & the kart that we had begun filling up, was also going to just get left in the store. That made her pause for a moment... but she stuck to her empty guns. We told her that she gave POOR customer service, with people who had spent soooo much in her store & that even while we were having problems with a return of $6 worth of cookies, we had been shopping to spend MORE money in that store. At last we told her we were disappointed in the horrible service but that she had done one thing at least.... In a way she saved us A LOOOOOT MORE than 6 bucks. & with that we gave a little self assured head nod of of victory. Picked up our things from the kart that were had from near by stores. & left a kart that had begun to be filled, now sitting with its contents now needing to be restocked. This used to be the Go To place for coats. Every year I looked forward to Fall to buy at least 2 coats and put at least 3 or more on layaway for the holiday. WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT to go in today and see NOT EVEN ONE ladies long wool coat or cute leather coat or jacket. There was nothing but a few puffer jackets. I asked the Dept. Mgr about the stock and she said, "Oh we downsized our coat department." Really? The store is Burlington COAT Factory. Coats were the only reason for shopping this store. There is a better selection of clothes at the TJ Maxx in the same center and the Nordstrom Rack around the corner. Sorry Burlington but you just lost a family of shoppers. I'm not sure if they have new management or if they just got a new game plan going, but this was the first time I stopped by since Covid and the entire place was reorganized. The aisles are very well kept and organized, and they are full of great finds at great prices! The staff was very friendly, was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the kind security. The check out line was under control for once and social distances were maintained. They finally had carts available. Not sure if it's new management or what but whatever it is they are doing I hope they keep it up! I look forward to coming back and very happy with the results of their efforts. read more

If you go in a couple weeks before a major holiday they often give out 20% off coupons to be used that holiday week. I am addicted to BCF. It is my go-to place for EVERYTHING. Before it was Ross, but since I became a mom BCF has taken its place. They have a baby depot with everything baby needs, racks of clothing, including maternity clothes! They sell cribs, crib mattresses, play gyms, strollers, car seats and more! For the average adult female and male, there are racks of clothing AND shoes, handbags, gym bags and also something for the home. There is also a section for pets. 4 stars because it can get MESSY. usually that would garner less stars, but I just love looking through the rubble to find some treasures! Their clearance section is the best. I've found shoes to frames to tops for less than $5. I freaking love this place and hope they open more stores in the valley! read more

Another thing that I learned is to check with the upc barcode scan and to see how much it really cost... I found out that not everything there is cheap... F this damn place. This wicked den of sin, with their fantastic selection and discount prices! I had only explored one quarter of the store after about an hour and a half and held in my arms enough clothing to send me straight back to credit card debt. Wanna look good on the cheap? Shop here. They have a great selection of curtains (I was surprised to find more here than at Home Goods, Ross and TJ Maxx) but the store needs major work. There is an enormous variety of men's suits and blazers but I couldn't seem to locate the women's suits and blazers after circling the store multiple times. I asked one of the girls at the registers because I couldn't find anyone on the floor to help me. She was really sweet but admitted that she had no idea where things were on the floor. Not her fault, but strange that management doesn't teach the cashiers where customers can locate items in the store. I looked again but couldn't find a single employee who could help me. I filed up and down every aisle and finally found the TINIEST, saddest selection (maybe 12 random mismatched blazers, no suits at all, while the men's business attire had an entire dedicated department). Do women not need professional clothing? It was frustrating and totally bizarre. It didn't seem like they had run out of women's business attire, either. It seemed like they only carried a few mismatched items which had been haphazardly jammed in the middle of all the sweaters and tops. I watched a line develop behind me as I waited to pay. There were about six employees behind the registers and only one of them was assisting a customer. At one point three cashiers assisted the same customer. One of these three finally came to help me as the other two chatted about Halloween as people were waiting in line to be assisted. It was as if we didn't exist. When I walked out I could see another three or four employees doing stuff behind the registers while people waited in line. I've worked in retail and I understand that employees are instructed to complete specific tasks, but at the very least they could have acknowledged us. Okay so I moved back to the area and have been back a few times. I gave up looking for clothing at BCF.My mother described BCF well...It's like a giant thrift store, but overpriced for new clothing that's not particularly nice. That said, this location has a great skincare selection. I buy all natural deodorant here from a brand called Stinkbug that they sell for $4. It retails on Amazon for double that (at least for the tea tree oil one). There's also some random brand that makes a really good face moisturizer for $2.99 that I have been buying for years that makes my skin soft and ready for makeup, but doesn't make me breakout. My biggest savings here is from micellar water. I bought a bottle of Garnier German edition 23.6 ounces for $8. The time after that, I bought a 13.5 ounce bottle for $5 from an Israeli brand that is more natural than Garnier's. micellar water. The makeup selection here isn't good. It's off brands. I did however see a lot of Physician's Formula going for under $5 (the same products are at drugstores for at least double that when not on sale). I also saw a Bare Minerals eyeshadow palette go for $16 or $17 dollars that is at Nordstrom Rack for $22 and on Ulta's website for $42. Came close to buying it, but of the shades were too light for me. I did buy for $2 some random concealer set because I just needed the green stick thingie but with it were 4 other sticks of different colors. From time to time I also buy Garnier hair masks for $3 when they go for $5.50 at Target. I've gone before 10:30 on Saturday mornings and the store is empty with no line. Since 2013 is here, I had to change some of my clothing styles without paying EXTRA. I've been to Ross Stores many times, but I thought I could no better. Well, I think I downgraded when I went to Burlington Coat Factory in West Hills. Burlington Coat Factory is located on the same lot as WalMart. I am not sure why Burlington Coat Factory is underground. Its like if a nuclear war was going on, we would never know, but then again, Wal-Mart is upstairs would still be there. You take escalators or the elevator to the underground bunker and see how huge this store is. There is all wide ranges of clothing, jewelry, and accessories at this store. However, don't expect it to be clean. From the clothes on the floor and open products, I have no idea how the employees put with this. I thought Ross Stores had it bad. I guess they had it easy. The dressing room was the worst place since no one had cleaned them with open products and possibly needles from the clothes. I think my boots collected a bunch of them. The lines to checkout was the worst. It was like I was waiting in line to wait in line. Six cashiers and about 50 people waiting to checkout. Overall, I got the price I paid, but on the long run, I feel dirty for coming here. I even wanted to run to the Ross nearby to save me. I even wanted to go the Swap Meet to feel better. This is the only place I go to shop for clothes. Its similar to TJ Maxx, Marshals etc, but they have a much bigger variety and the selection of clothes isn't so tacky and out dated as some of the above mentioned stores. The store is well kept, lines move quickly and prices are definitely a bargain. Only down side, the store is located below the surface so be prepared to not have a working cell phone.
