I've went into this store multiple time, but I only purchased anything from here twice. Whenever I ask a staff member a question I am usually met with an attitude. I remember entering the garden section (a section which isn't as crowded as the front of the store) I asked a woman behind a register if she could tell me where an item was located. Her response was "over there in the back", and she pointed her finger toward a general area near the plants. I didn't want to aggravate myself, so I walked in that direction. As I approach the same area I saw a manager, expecting a better response I asked him the same question. He then shrugged and walked to the other side of the section. That is when the same woman came over to speak with the manger. I looked up this item before I went to this, so I knew it was sold there. Don't believe I've ever been to a Walmart before, but oh, how great is the savings! This place is huge, don't reckon it'd be easy to find your peeps if y'all had gotten split up. It's nice to walk around here after you finish eating at the fine restaurants nearby. But as big as the store is, so are their cashier lines. Went to this Walmart the other day looking for a battery for my car's remote device. Found somebody named Elton in housewares and asked him if I would find that in electronics or automotive. He walked me over to electronics, found the battery and tried (and failed) to get somebody to leave the aisle and check me out at the electronics desk. He then walked me over to the front, found an empty cashier and and installed the battery as soon as I paid for it. Don't always think of extreme customer service and Walmart, but Elton was a gem. read more

I ordered and paid for my Christmas cards through walmart.com on Friday 12/14 night and was told that is would be ready at the Walmart in Westbury, NY on Saturday 12/15 by 5:00pm. I couldn't pick them up Saturday, so I went to the store on Sunday 12/16 afternoon and when I went to the photo (besides no one being there at the counter), I was told not only are they not ready, but the person who handles the photography is out on maternity, and they won't be ready. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I contacted Walmart first through their website help chat and then through a phone call to, what I originally though was a corporate office, but turned out to be just another call center who couldn't really help. The help chat only offered two options, 10% compensation or cancel my order (not even an offer to switch store locations).The Walmart call line didn't offer me any sort of compensation (was told that was only offered by the store, not sure what the store would offer, that would be based on what the manager offers). I asked both for names and emails for corporate personnel to let them know the situation and was denied both time. I decided to call the store directly at 7:30pm tonight. Got no response after 20 rings. Called back again at 7:52, and as of right now, someone picked up at the original call, then been put on hold for the manager for 22 minutes and counting. The Walmart manager called me back at about 9:30 Sunday night. Finding out what happened, he went into the system, saw my pictures in the spool, printed them out and are going to be in the manager's office with some compensation in it. The manager said he didn't know what happened but he saw the Xmas Cards in the spool and was ready to print. He said he used to work in the photo department so he knows how to work the machine. He printed out my 100 pictures. Then told me for my hassle, he would give me a $25 gift card (personally I think fair compensation). He told me to go see any manager and that they would know about it. I told him I would be in there on Monday night. Fast Forward to Monday night : I go to the electronics counter and ask to speak to a manager and I explained to the clerk why. Instead of picking up the intercom phone, which was only two feet behind her, she decides to find one on her own by walking away looking for one. She came back and a second clerk came to the checkout and proceeded to help other customers. When he asked about me, the first clerk said that she was getting the manager and the first clerk asked if she used the intercom phone. The first one said no and she would look. Needless to say, a manager came about 25 minutes after I originally asked for one, and lo and behold, she had the Xmas cards in her hand with my name on the folder. I opened the package to see if the gift card was in there and not only was the gift card not in there, there weren't any envelopes to mail out the Xmas cards. I asked the original clerk to call the manager back over. She told me to go find one with a yellow vest (People, if you want anything ever done at #walmart find a person with a yellow vest.). While I was waiting at first, I called Walmart Customer Service in front of the employee. After a little bit, I walked the store to find a yellow vest, while talking to the customer service person and explaining the current situation. I found a yellow vest employee, told them there was supposed to be a gift card and oh, I don't know, ENVELOPES for the pictures. I told them I spoke with the manager last night and there was supposed to be a gift card due to all the hassle Walmart is giving me . The message that he left with Walmart customer service is that he spoke with me and will handle (didn't say how). So the yellow vest, seeing that I was on the phone with customer service and giving customer service her name (thank you name badges with job descriptions) the yellow vest took me to the store customer service as the phone customer service asked if I would like to lodge a complaint with marketing (Hell, I'll lodge a complaint with anyone at the corporate level if I could). She brought me to the front counter and rang up a new gift card. After she handed me the gift card she asked if there was anything else and I said the envelopes. She asked me again "you didn't get any envelopes?" Showed her the photos. We walked out way back to the photo area . She gave me a handful of envelopes and I mentioned I have 100 pictures. She went through all the draws and finally gave me envelopes (I thought that they looked a little light in the count, but I was already frustrated with the incompetency there, so I took what she gave me and walked out. In the car, I asked my son to count the envelopes. It was light. 83. I can live with missing 17 envelopes. read more

A lot of the items were missing prices. A lot of the products online did not reflect the products at the store. The microwave section was very small. Maybe I was expecting Walmart to be some amazing place where they sold super affordable and great products. This place made my head hurt it was huge but somehow felt empty. On a positive note they're frozen foods section had a lot of great deals and a large variety. The employees were very helpful and polite. I saw some stoneware that i liked for close to 50 bucks, after leaving here I went over to Target and they had the same set for 35. Sorry Walmart I think I'll stick to online shopping or Target. read more

This is the second time within a month my order has been delayed because there's only ONE person in the entire store that knows how to do photos. This store is nice but if you go within a couple hours of closing be careful. They are re-stocking the shelves and come down the aisles so fast and sometimes you have to jump out of the way. Also the sales associates aren't super knowledgeable. They can tell you what section something is but some cannot tell you what it is by. I like the In-Store Pickup better in Westbury than East Meadow. I would never choose East Meadow over Westbury unless I absolutely had to. read more

Something is not quite right with the location of this store. I am writing, hoping it gets the attention of the management or Yelp. Using the address 1220 on my vehicle GPS puts me near the corner of Carmen Avenue and Old Country Road LI New York. The store is several miles from this location. I also tried to follow directions from Yelp and the same thing occurred. I drove around for nearly 1/2 hour only to find the store several miles west from where the GPS got me (see 1st paragraph). I imagine this must be frustrating for many first time visitors and I wonder how many gave up and left. This is not good for business and hopefully, this could be corrected. I am here again 12-29-16 and I don't think my previous review/report regarding incorrect mapping of the location was looked at. This and every Walmart I've ever been in but this one especially is the worst place of business ever. It's dirty disorganized the people who work here are clueless. Totally incapable of providing help our any other types of customer service. So I went into her Jan 23 2023. Around 6 pm. I washed to get a tooth brush. There was a either African Haitian or Jamaican elder short lady standing in front of the section. I waited 2/3 minutes. She has a shopping cart full of items to put back re-shop or whatever. So I sad excuse me can I grab something about 3x and she wouldn't move. She looked at me so I no she heard what I was saying. I'm shopping you work here I just got off work. I just want you grab what I need and go I thought to myself. She refused to give me was so I reached around her. Then I asked do you know where I can get baking soda and she said go over there ask somebody else and put her finger in my face. I sad wow I hate to report on anyone who needs their job but I'm not letting this slide. So I asked another associate Bryant if he can page the manager for me. He said I don't know I can't she's walking around some where you have to find her. I thought to myself unprofessional I don't even know what she looks like. So then I asked Ahmed and he said I'm going on break in 2-3 minutes I can't help you. I said but!!! He said I'm about to go on break sorry. So then I asked Elzbeita and she said I don't know you have to ask somebody else. So then when I actually caught up to this women a believe named Marsha who was in a shopping drivable chair she said she was the manager and I explained. She didn't say anything but oh boy I'm heading back over to customer service area. Began talking to some other associates and had nothing to say about my concerns. No apology nothing. The past few times I have been very disappointed in my shopping experience at this store. They are always out of stock, hardly any employees on the sales floor to help customers and very long lines. I have to shop at the Green Acres store to get a better shopping experience. It is a less desirable area, But I leave the store a happy customer. read more

I think I could pay for a child's education with all the money I've spent here, they really need to fix their aisles because peak hours are a mess with carts everywhere and no space to move even though you don't have a cart, it's just insane, other than that they do pretty good, they have almost everything I need except for the produce department and meats, parking is not a problem and I've never had an issue with anybody that works there read more

My mom and I made an attempt to get in this store for black friday but left after seeing the lines around the corner to get in. We revisited after all the hoopla and missing the great sales and enjoyed the store just as well. I love Walmart and their affordable prices. The store is big and clean and staff are friendly. Meh not bad, not great. I don't come here often only when I'm in the Roosevelt Field mall area. They have a nice selection of stuff which I think is because of the area. There are so many workers but yet there are never that many registers open. The lines are kinda of long. The deals and prices are the same as other Walmarts that I've been to, which is good, but this is not a location that I'd go out of my way to come and visit. I stopped in to find Breaking Bad-the final 8 episodes but they didn't have it. I can see why this place has only two stars. The people here are always rude and unwilling to help. I understand they dont get paid much, but if you dont want to work here dont! I being gracious by giving Walmart 3 stars and they is only on the account that the lines were shorted than usual. Im going to attribute the short lines to the time of night that I was in the store. I was not there for any Thanksgiving or pre-black Friday shopping. I simply need allergy medicine. I am appalled at how poorly run the Westbury store is. Went for a curbside pickup. For it very difficult to locate the pickup spots. Then the sign with the calling instructions was made of paper of all things. I had to get out of the car to unroll the paper in order to find the phone number to call. I then called the number and was told that the mail box was not set up. I then called the store and no one answered. It is outrageous that a chain of Walmart s standing does business this way. Walmart, learn from Target which has a flawless system for curbside pickup. Shame on Walmart. I never got my pickup items. read more

Disorganized, some aisles were wide and others were unusually narrow which seems odd for Walmart. Like most Walmart's I've been to not enough people working registers though it seemed pretty obvious that some individuals were stalling to open their lines, which left their coworker frustrated with a ridiculously long line. I had to be on "Wrong Island" to see a friend in the hospital. Today is the snow storm which in LI is more like a thunder, ice storm. I thought it would be just flurries so I wore rain boots and not snow boots. Nobody really expected the weather to be this bad We were going to Walmart to my buy my friend a gift. It was really slippery and whoever was in charge was not keeping up with mopping up the ice and snow people were tracking , I was walking really carefully but it was so slippery I fell and hurt by back again. Nobody from the store came to see if I was okay only customers did. On top of it the store did not have much to buy they were having a clearance of summer stock. There were no employees around to help either. I am not going to go back here obviously for any reason. Nobody was prepared for the storm but to let customers fall and ignore the conditions during a storm means they are either over worked and understaffed or do not care or both. I have been to Walmarts in other cities so I don't have anything against Walmart but this particular store is a massive fail! read more

Worst customer service experience ever! None of the employees are willing to help you out. When I asked several employees for help they just ask for another associate to come over and then that associate tells you they can't help you. Normally, when I find a location with great service, I am a repetitive customer. However, this location will not be getting any of my business anymore. The Costco sized carts are way too big for the aisles, you'll be playing bumper carts all night. I decided to purchase 2 pairs of Spiderman sneakers because they were $5 clearance. I went to the Self Service to check out, and the sneakers rung up @ $8.87. I asked an associate w/ glasses @ 8:30pm who was in the Self Service area if the register was ringing my item correctly because there were a number of these particular Spiderman sneakers on a red $5 fixtures. He questioned me by saying "So, the sneakers are $15.97, they rung up @ $8.87 and you want them @ $5?". I answered him "Yes, I want to know who's incorrect: the $5 fixtures they were on or the computer who's ringing them up @ $8.87". He then proceeded to assist another customer and answered another team member that he was not suppose to be in the Self Service Dept. I will NOT be returning to WalMart: awful customer service, incorrect pricings, and associates should be placed in their designated areas for customer assistance. read more

Well, there are three Walmarts I frequent. The best video section is in Westbury, and cd selection is pretty good. Overall: Best Although, the arts and crafts section is beyond stellar and well-kept in Uniondale and that is a task many cannot (even Michael's cannot) achieve excellency in having the right kind of ideas and maintaining such a difficult section to maintain (beads and so on). Overall: Stellar AND the Walmart in Levittown has the most beautiful notebook selection and maintained on a daily basis. Usually only the notebook and office supplies section only matter to them (like Staples) on a seasonal basis. However, Staples doesn't even have that great of a selection, and at that price. They are also the cleanest store, though I think it depends on the area as well, because some customers are so sloppy and ungiving and don't care about the messes they leave. It's nice to know that some people actually care about the employees regardless of how they feel about the company. Overall: Amazing read more

This store is so disgusting, I feel like I need to shower when I leave. I tried to return an Oculus Quest that I bought online. (It stopped working after only 4 days) The lady at customer service said the serial number on the headset did not match up with the number on the box. A quick google will tell you that the number on the box is for the entire set while the serial number on the headset is just for the headset. Just like how the controllers have their own s/n. She was no help at all and even implied that I was trying to return a different used oculus. Her only response is to call corporate. This poor customer service is precisely the reason I hate coming to Walmart. And the icing on all of this: while I was waiting on line, a customer shouted at the Walmart greeter stationed by the door "yo! You're eating boogers??! Wtf!!" I turned around to look and the greeter quickly pulled up his mask and replied "it's ok. I'll wash my hands." Very classy Walmart. When I enter Walmart, the very first person I want to see is someone picking their nose. So if you're dumb, not interested in helping customers and like to pick your nose and/or eat your boogers, go work for Walmart. read more
