(Written while on line) There's something seriously wrong with Walmart. I don't mean this particular store, I mean the whole f**king chain. I don't understand how a place with so many registers, serving so many customers, can be so mind numbingly slow. Shopping here is a marathon of patience that could turn Ghandi into Manson. Let's not even talk about the epic quests to find a price scanner when you need one. Seriously; i started writing this after waiting on a line for 20 minutes, and now I've moved up about 5 feet from where I was at the time. Avoid. (Later) You'd think that would be the worst of it, but no. So we get up to the cashier and ask them to check the price of an item, because there might be one or two price scanners in the store, hidden away in places that angels fear to tread. So he scans our item, and when we agree to buy it he scans it again. I thought he was just price checking the first time, but no - we got charged TWICE! I'd started out my trip with a stop by the Customer Service department to return something. This took FAR longer than necessary. Part of this was the interminable wait. There were 3 cashiers on board. Only 2 were actually working. This one guy just seemed to be standing around poking at things with a pencil. Finally he called me up. The cashier scanned my receipt, then scanned the items, then spent FOREVER checking for the items on the receipt itself EVEN THOUGH THE F**KING COMPUTER TOLD HIM THAT THE ITEMS I HAD WERE ON THE F**KING RECEIPT! Seriously, buy something on your credit card at Target. Then go to return it. Tell them you have no receipt but you have your credit card. BAM! They check the transactions on your card, find the item, and process your return. 15 seconds, start to finish. This place, with full documentation and evidence, still takes several minutes to process a return. HOW CAN THIS BE POSSIBLE? HOW IS THIS PLACE STILL IN BUSINESS?? Having started out my trip to hell on the line of no return, I was not really inclined to wait on it now that it was twice as long as when I was first there. I found a manager who was standing by an idle cash register and basically begged her to do something for us. Still, after explaining to her what the situation was (having been charged twice for a single item) instead of removing one of the two charges - which seemed to me to be the obvious thing to do - she said oh, why don't you go get another one since you already paid for it? Really? Seriously? Don't you think if we wanted two we would have picked two up? read more

Ok. So this place gets a bad rap. And 80% of the time it deserves it. This place is not well kept, it is always crowded and their stock levels are always low. They do a pretty good job at restocking because it's almost always reminiscent of a warehouse. There are pallets everywhere and employees are always busy and not available to assist if you need help. Items are always out of place and things are very hard to find. But the 20% that makes this place great are the prices. They are as low as the ratings for this location. As long as the price are this low i will muster the strength it takes to sift through all the bad things about this location. read more

Best prices on auto accessories. Cashier was fast and friendly. Crowded? Walmart is always crowded.

Phone customer service sucks. 3 calls made. The first dropped ( i think intentionally). The second left me on hold for 20 mins before i hung up. The third rang for 15 mins before i gave up. read more

Bathrooms are horrible poop all over them had to change my son n the employee bathroom would not let me use the family restroom.

Come here almost once a week and it's rarely ever in stock and there are almost no shopping carts but the worst thing is they have bad employees read more

The store is very unorganized. You can't walk down the center aisle to many displays that were over powering the aisles. There weren't enough registers open for the amount of people that were shopping. The store didn't have enough fresh vegetables. Make the store more user friendly. read more

I want to take note of a special employee at the Walmart in Westbury. I was shopping there today and the band on my Fitbit broke. I did not lose it, so I went to see about getting a new band. I found one and the Walmart associate Jeremy was very helpful. I purchased the band and he took the time to actually put it on my Fitbit. It is not easy to change the bands, so I am very grateful to him for all his help. He really went above and beyond to help a customer. read more

If I could give this location no stars I would've. Every single employee here that I've encountered, was not only extremely rude, but had a horrible attitude. I was waiting at photo just now for 10 minutes. Three employees looked at me and when I tried to get their attention, they walked quickly in the other direction. Finally, when a woman came over, she had a terrible attitude like she didn't want to be here. I was also walking towards the garden section and another worker on her walkie, said "I hate customers, I just hate them" I am truly disgusted by the way the employees here act and treat their customers. This is why Walmart.com with online order sucks. Been online for over 20 mins to pickup a $10 item. One register for an entire line. And I'm here on a weekday before 5pm. Imagine the Hell on weekends? I should've just bought from Amazon.com and had it shipped to my house despite Amazon being only a dollar more. What a waste of time. Shame Walmart stopped their shipping pickup relationship with FedEx (only slightly better than FedEx CS), since this will be the last time ordering from Walmart.com. Amazon here I come. read more

Some friends and went to Walmart to buy some things over July 4 weekend. Beyong that it's a long weekend. I would've expected there to be more cashiers on staff. About 2/3 of the registers were empty and not being used. The lines were ridiculously long. This is probably the most inefficient Walmart EVER! On top of that, the shelves were poorly organized and the aisles were a mess and looks like they haven't been swept in weeks! I will definitely not be going back here again. read more

This is probably one of the most frustrating Walmart's I've been to. It's usually crowded. There isn't much space in the aisles to navigate yourself comfortably without having to stop every few feet to either let someone pass so you don't bump into them. The items are not arranged neatly and is very disorganized. It can be very hard to tell what tag belongs to what item on the shelf. The staff in general is not very helpful knowledgeable or friendly. I'm sure there are a few but that's what's wrong. It's only a few. It should be most of the staff be helpful knowledgeable and friendly and a few who need help but it's there other way around. The only reason I gave it a second start is because it still has Walmart prices. Most goods are cheaper here than when you buy a comparable product at another store. Worst place for order pick up. They put you on hold indefinitely for order status when you call inquiring and when picking up there is hardly ever anyone behind the pick up counter. Placed an order at 8:00am for same day free order pick up and the notification online says that my order should be ready by 12pm/12:30pm. At 4:30pm I am calling for the status and after being half an hour on hold I still do not have an answer. Go to another Walmart if you can because you won't get an answer from this one. read more

20 min wait at site to store because useless employees refuse to help. About 2-3 of them saw me waiting but were " off the clock " yet in the back talking to each other. Oh boy please avoid this horrible store. I have been to some pretty good "outside of ny" Walmart's and this place is just trashy. Why? because the employee's there are clueless about the product they sell and they place is always messy. If they didn't have parking I would contact yelp about giving this location 0 stars. Like the Walmarts in East Meadow and Uniondale, this Walmart is average and may not be a Walmart Supercenter, but it gets the job done! First off, I found the store to be clean considering the amount of foot traffic it receives and the help is fairly friendly, though somewhat sparse. However, the prices on clothing, toiletries, and guinea pig food (which is made in the USA in Ohio) are very good and easy on the wallet! I should warn you, however, that this Walmart gets mobbed at peak hours, creating very long waits! While this Walmart isn't the biggest or the best, it gets the job done for my purposes! read more

Its the only walmart I have ever been to. Not bad. They carry alot of products. The workers are nice. Big parking lot.

This place is awful. I'm not sure if the customers or the staff are worse, but everything is always thrown all over in this store. It's a complete mess. I went there for the first time to look at laptops, which was a huge mistake. The prices were very competitive, of course, but every computer on display was utterly destroyed. Keys, buttons, cables , monitors and CD drawers were all broken and ripped off. It's bad enough that Walmart lets their store remain in such disarray, but what bothers me more is that customers are doing the damage. What hope is there? The staff just walk around in some kind of ignorant daze. Even the Walmart in nearby Valley Stream is marginally better, and someone was stampeded to death there by a herd of animalistic shoppers on Black Friday in 2008, so that's saying something. Awful. Horrendous. Messy lines are ginormous. Ordered online because I didn't want to wait all day online . Got wrong items shipped. Paid for expedited shipping items were late and wouldn't arrive for giving gift. Called customer service and got the run around. Then a refund to a gift card I don't even have. Online at the customer service center at this Walmart to return one item. I would expect that I would be at the customer service center for 10 minutes to return this item but instead I was online nearly more than half and hour. Their where 4 people in front of me and their where only 2 employees working at the registers. One employee left because she had to go on break like you can't just help the lady out before you go on break not during the time of assisting her. One lady was left behind taking everyone online. One of the worst service I have ever seen and the manager was coming in and out but constantly working at the self check out are standing their doing nothing. This is the closest Walmart from the city. I remember the first time I came here I had to re-adjust my eyes to the prices having getting used to prices in Manhattan. Are things really this cheap? Great location due to the many stores and resturants surrounding it. The store was well stocked by not so neat, there was abandoned merchandise blocking some of the aisles causing you to trip if you wasn't careful. The store was fairly crowed considering it was a Saturday afternoon, but what surprised me the cashier lines weren't long. The staff was helpful but some were not dressed appropriately because I should not see your ass crack as your walking away after answering a customers question.
